Sake' saw the monster below and quickly dove in after it. He plunged his two blades deep within its neck, unsure of what to do otherwise. As he turned to look back, he saw the girl from earlier.

She'll have to wait...this is a bit more pressing...

Sake' tried to shove the blades in harder, rupturing something within the creature's neck.

Comon you bastard....die.

(sorry for the slow response, my mind has been a bit idle and focused on Eternia recently)

{No kidding! There are a hundred things going on over there! XD}

The creature shrieked a mighty, earth-shaking roar, his neck spilling out a sort of blackish blood. It flung its upper body about, attempting to rid of the cause of pain.

Baku stood, admiring that his work would be done for him; however, he needed that corpse afterward... What laid inside of that creature's belly was important, and dangerous if in the wrong hands...

Yukina hunched over, her tail flinging from one side to the other. She flipped into the air, rather high, at one point being upside down right above the worm-like creature. She slung her guns, alternately propelling bullets into the beast's hard, leathery skin. Following the bullets were small sprays of it's bloody liquids.

The creature moaned and screamed, at one point being so high-pitched and "shrieky" that Yukina folded her ears towards the back of her head.

(She had been travelling herself, I'm just speeding up.)

Shera hid on a tree, watching Yukina. "I see, a fight..", she whispered to herself and leaped down. "Atou, Tsurugi no Hitokage!", the sword appeared in her hands, she then charged and attacked the creature, ignoring it's high shriek. "You better stop all this....", she whispered to herself. She then pulled the sword out, seeing all the blood splattering on herself. "Disgusting..", she whispered again.

And so she heard Atou's voice inside her head, "Remember, blood is one thing to avoid, it may have some disease, and it can be dangerous.", she then leaped back, not wanting to be near any blood, except for parts of blood on her, she then wiped it herself.

She turned to Yukina, "Who are you?"

Sake' pulled his blades out, wrapping his legs around the creature's neck so he would stay aboard. He slashed up and down the creature's back vigorously, twisting and turning with its convulsions. Satisfied, Sake' backflipped off of the creature and landed on the ground nearby.

He took a single blade and speared it into the creatures abdomen, hoping to finish it off.

The creature let out a long, disturbing scream, aching from every wound in its body. It twisted and convulsed, trying to get itself beck together.

The movement slowed to a stop, and the creature lay dead...

Yukina sheathed her guns into the holsters at either sides of her hips, turning her head to the girl whom had addressed her, "No one you should really be concerned about." It may have been rude, but these days, she had no one to trust...

She turned to the stone-like creature who was on the scene earlier...

Sake' withdrew his blade from the creature, sheathing it. The sword was still bathed in blood, but it did not matter to him. He turned to the girl from the post office.

"Never thought a girl like you would be a gunslinger. I suppose I should thank you for your help."

Baku, thumping over to the carcass with his great, stone legs, reached out to the creature. He leaned toward it, jabbed his hands into the creature's cadaver and open it with great strength, unaware of the rancid scene he created.

Baku seemed to pay no attention though, as he seemed to be searching for something.

Yukina glared at the stone man, somewhat disgusted of the split open carcass. It wreaked heavily in the air, almost making Yukina vomit right there in the street. "I suppose that golem guy can't smell?" She thought to her behalf, covering her nose with her small hand.

Was this creature bad though? Couldn't have been... But... What was he searching for?

Shera felt a little of strange when Yukina said so. She squinted her eyes down, staring at the land under her feet. "I see", she whispered to herself. Pretty rude, she thought; but I guess there is no one to turn to for most of the time in life. She shrugged. Then she could the strength from Atou; the sword. She was alert at that, but she could tell that he was angry at her.

"I am here for you..", Atou said; warming in her heart.
"Sorry.. I was cranky with that cat-lady.."; she knew she was, and she could feel the rudeness of her words, but she knew she had to control herself.
"You should not be..", Atou answered and that angry expression was gone from her heart.

"Ne, stone-guy, now who are you?", she turned to Baku.

Baku paid no attention as he continued searching. After only a few seconds of dedicated digging, Baku looked as though he grabbed something. It shined brightly in the sunlight, despite being covered in stomach acid. The stone golem held whatever it was securely but gently in his palm and held it close. He looked back at the others, then turned his small, glowing eyes west, toward the mountains.

The golem stood there, looking to the mountains' direction, the path obstructed by hills, with determination. He looks as though he was deep in thought, a trait unexpected for a construct.

Baku slowly started moving that way, holding the item taking from the worm creature's cadaver close. It appears to be sacred to him in some way...

Yukina acknowledged the hawk-like beast, nodding to him. "It was nothing really..."

She seemed more distracted by the stone man. What was he holding?

Everyone knew about the legend of the Emerald. And everyone knew about the golems that guarded it. But... Wasn't it just a myth?

Yukina was intrigued, following the stone structure as it moved towards the other end of the town. "Excuse me... Sir?" Yukina inquired.

Tala had been watching the fight from a distance,her eyes narrowed and ears pushed forward as she watched. She did not fully understand what was going on, but what ever it was, it was not good. Adjusting her bag on her shoulder again so that it was over her head, Tala reached up and drew both of her swords and took off in a furious sprint.

This does not look good, she thought and narrowed her eyes further, her ears folding against her head to protect them from the roar of the wind. It's holding something, the... no..., curling her lip and baring her fangs Tala took to the shadows to attempt to catch up to the stone man. Still unsure of what was going on, but if he held what it appeared to have, she couldn't sit around. Finally catching up to one of the ones she saw fighting the beast Tala looked up, "What the hell is that?" Her voice was cold, hard and full of rage.

Baku appeared to be ignoring the questions thrown at him until he came to a sudden stop. He slowly turned to the others behind him and replied in a large, grumbling voice appropriate for his size and appearance,"Mystic... jewel... protection... is... destruction..." The great creature spoke a simple form of Common, an attribute brought by his obviously limited intelligence. Baku turned around and started back towards the mountains. "Protection... is... destruction..." he repeated.

Tala turned and glared at the great beast. Then, slowly a smile spread over her lips and her bright eyes narrowed. "How about destruction of the gem?" Tala called to him, a lethal smile playing across her lips. Well that do you know. This rock is actually out to get rid of the damned thing. Ha...

Without the go ahead of the creature Tala followed, but kept back as not to worry the creature, but close enough that she could aid it if it were to be attacked. "So, how to talk to this damned thing," Tala mumbled to herself as she jogged along, keeping a close eye on those around and the walking stone itself.

Yukina cocked one eyebrow; the gesture regarding Baku's statement...

Protect... Gem... Destruction...

It all clicked... The Emerald!

Yukina followed in the giant stone man's trail, flicking her tail about in a lighthearted way. She was curious... She had heard of the gem, but was it really true? Yukina had to know for sure...

"Say, She started, walking along the golem's side, "That wouldn't happen to be the infamous Emerald of Ambiot, would it?" Her ears folded back, almost afraid of the answer.

If it was, indeed, the Emerald, could this... thing be trusted? And what did he mean by that previous statement? Was he willing to destroy it?

Yukina's curiosity was growing...

Sake' jumped into the air, notcing the commotion around the golem. He heard the ramblings and realized what was going on. With one powerful beat of his wings he soared through the skies. As soon as he was above the rock creature, he dove out of the sky, drawing his blades.

Sake' landed infront of the gunslinger and the rock creature, obstructing their path. He held his swords in a combat stance and stared into the creature's eyes.

"You have something that I want. We are at a dilemma my friend." Sake' said coldly. "I suggest you hand that gem over, or I will have to...make this a fight."

Baku continued to be, apparently, ignoring any attempts to communicate with him. He seemed to be more distracted by the jewel in his possession. Perhaps he didn't understand? Of course, this could be foiled by his previous words in Common. It could be... that Common is not his primary language?

The stone golem came to a sudden halt in front of Sake', who was blocking his way. In response, the golem attempted to nudge Sake' to the side with his giant arm in order to continue. He's trying to be so gentle as to not push Sake' down.

Sake' held his right blade up to the golem's throat, pushing him back slightly with it. He used the blade to lift the golem's head gently.

"Listen you bastard. I want that gem, are we going to have to fight over it?" Sake' barked. "Or I can just behead you right now and take it home with me, but that seems unfair."

Yukina's eyes widened. Would this stone creature really fight this hawk-like man? Or could this beast character really decapitate the golem? It wasn't like the golem was fleshy like her or the curious citizens watching from the far. The legend said that the golems were alive because of the Mystics' magic...

This really got Yukina thinking about the inner mechanics of this stone man. She was pretty sure that the thing could wipe that man's fleshy body right off the face of the planet with one fell swoop! But she had seen crazier things...
