I've bounced back and forth with many different forms of Julias Hyde but I think I've finally found one I like. Might try to use him in In Character as well.

Name: Julias Hyde

Race: Wight

Age: 149

Height: 5’8

Weight: 108lbs

Occupation: Adventurer/Gather of knowledge.

Appearance: All black skin with thick dark hair and blood red eyes. Julias appears to be unhealthily thin, and is muscled like a person used to the easy life, though a look at his face hints at a rougher past. His face bears a long scar across his left eye, reaching just over half a foot in length, and his eyes are rarely still, and always seem to be appraising those around him. His ears appear slightly elfish, and his fingers are clawed like a wolf.

Weapons: Julias has long since cast aside most weapons of wood and steel. His arsenal now contains many different forms of writing instruments, such as brushes, chalks, and charcoal. This used with candles and many different ritualistic materials, such as blood and parts from certain magical creatures, gives him far more effective ways of dealing with his enemies.In the rare instances where close combat is required Julias carries a ritual blade that bears a number of curses.

It should also be known that the strongest of his and most Wights rituals are drawn in their own blood, giving them a far greater degree of control over their own magic.

Background: In his century and a half of life Julias has walked many different magically oriented paths. From a priest in the holiest of temples to a cultist of the darkest gods Julias has seen and done many things. While once a kind and wise man Julias has been changed mentally by his dark transformation, and has since become more ruthless in his pursuit for knowledge and power.

Race: Wight

Life expectancies: Approximately three+ times that of their original race, their skill in the dark arts often results in them unconsciously draining the life and energy around them.

Height: Any (Human)

Appearance: The only trait that all Wights carry in common is red eyes and completely black or white hair. Despite the variety that can be seen in the scattered Wight population any being that has been a Wight for over a year can easily be differentiated from a normal member of their previous race.

Physical attributes: In general Wights have very little physical strength, endurance, or stamina. They usually appear unhealthily thin, though they are actually stronger and a great deal faster than would be expected.

Abilities: Wights specialize with dark and stealth related spells, being far more powerful and generally effective the less light there is. They are also masters of curses, and have been known to get very creative, sometimes to protect items they find important.

History: Wights are the result of humanoid beings delving into the power of the shadow, and eventually being transformed by their own dark incantations. While they retain all of their memories they experience changes in their personality and in many cases, their moral views.

Environments: Most Wights tend to find a home or dwelling and stay there for long periods of time. Their continued presence in an area will warp the surrounding features to coincide with the dark nature of the Wights. Also with enough time in a safe environment, and sometimes with the aid of sacrifices, Wights can fortify their dwellings with powerful rituals and enchantments, giving them a massive advantage against any who would enter their dark domain.
