What is with the buddy thing? We aren't two, Andrea shook her head and sighed. She didn't want a buddy and wasn't planning on having one either. The counselors never followed through with what they said anyways. Her body screaming for a nicotine fix, she finally left her spot in the window and picked her way through all the kids, making her way back to her bed.
Why my cabin? It's always my cabin that they shove all the kids into. Finally making it there, she dug through her bag and eventually pulled out a pack of cigarettes. She sighed happily, lighting it then taking a long drag and exhaling the smoke as she laid back on her bed with her eyes closed. She had the intentions of ignoring everybody around her and hoped they would all leave soon so she could have some quiet again.
All of a sudden, she was aware of somebody standing over her. When she opened her eyes, sure enough, there was a very fidgety girl standing there. "Would you like to be buddies, if it isn't to much trouble that is... I'm new, I don't really want to be a bother." She could barely hear the girl because she was speaking so softly. Realizing that the girl was very nervous, she smile reassuringly and replied, "You really don't need a buddy. The counselors think they have control over us, but they never follow through on anything. My suggestion is to just kick back and relax."
