Re: The Room ( )

Postby ElphabaTheDelerious on Fri Jul 04, 2008 10:42 pm

Sakura turned at the sound of the trapdoor opening, clapping her hands over her mouth as she watched the girl hit the ground with a sickening thud. She abandoned the chimney and raced over to the girl as she stood up shakily.
"Oh, my God..." she said, taking the girl by the shoulder. "You okay, honey?"

Re: The Room ( )

Postby Drisk Kayne on Sat Jul 05, 2008 1:09 am

Drisk jumped in surprise as a body hit the ground. Looking to his left, he saw another newcomer to the room, this one with some bad bleeding, much worse than the slightly large cut on his own head. Her hand was on her head, and she seemed to be slightly disorientated. Walking over to her, Drisk held out a hand to help her up. "Welcome to the room, are you alright?" Drisk said to the latest addition to this little gang of trapped people.

Joseph:

Joseph looked between the people within the Room, he watched as the girl called Sakura thought there may be escape using the chimney, she watched as Rachel proffered a hair pin to use as a lock pick, she saw the new comer enter the same way he assumed he and some of the others had, through the trap door.

Looking up at the trapdoor, he noticed it was still open, taking a quick moment to eye over the ground below, he made a dash for it, running, jumping, he jumped upon a somewhat stable table before vaulting at the trapdoor, digging his fingers into the edge as he hung there, calling back down at the others as loudly as he could.

"Quick! Help me here! give me a boost or someth-!", he was cut off as a large, steel toe capped boot came crashing into his face, punting him back to the floor below, looking up in a half dazed state he watched as a possible escape route was cut off, the trapdoor was closed with a thud, and the metallic click of the padlock being put in place was heard.

Reaching to his forehead, a cut was now found there, groaning, Joseph fell unconscious.

****

???:

He watched as the one called Joseph attempted to make his way to the trapdoor, he watched as he jumped to the edge of the hole, he watched as he brought his boot down upon his face, escape this way isn't possible, he mused. Looking behind him, to his hastily assembled room up in the building's attic, the masked man let out a low, rolling cackle at the thoughts of what was happening below, he reached for the heavy duty padlock, the kind you'd need a power cutter to break without the key, turning back to the trapdoor, he booted it, making it fall over and close, before reaching down and placing the padlock between two iron rings he'd attached to it.

Walking backwards, he turned mid stride, facing a map he had drawn of the Room, running his fingers across it, he drew a X over where the alcove was with the note they had found, one clue out the way, he mumbled, tapping another place, opposite to the alcove with his pencil, his listening devices within the room served him well, that’s where they'd try next, he had something... interesting there.

Something, interesting, indeed.

After making sure that Jessica was alright, she went to Joseph. Kneeling down beisde him, checked his head. That head wound was pretty nasty. She looked up at the new guy as he put an z on the wall.

Jessica nodded her head as best she could. She went to the corner and sat down. Still holding her hand to her head. What had he called this place? The Room. She shuddered. What had happened? Why was she here? She felt blood trickle down her face. She used the bottem of her shirt to wipe it. Her hand was covered in blood. She felt the room spin and pressed herself against the wall to steady herself. It looked as if they were trying to find an escape route. She watched them. If they needed her help they would ask. For now, she needed to get her thoughts together.

Rachel watched in silence as they all rushed to help the new girl that'd just fallen from the ceiling trap. She wasn't too sure how to feel at this point. She put the hair pin back in her locks on the right side of her head and leaned back against the wall again, but remained on her feet this time.

Her eyes widden when suddenly Joseph jumped for the open exit but was brutally sent back to the floor with an apperant cut on his forehand. She let out a sigh and shook her head. While Sakura went to assist him, Rachel walked over to the wall where the words were painted doing her best not to stumble on anything. She observed the lettering for a few seconds and drew closer to the hole Joseph had found the piece of paper in.

Somehow this looked like it'd been planned a really long time ago...

Jessica was confused as of this moment. She watched everyone. Her head hurt like hell. She figured she looked extremely usless right now, useless and stuck up for not helping.
She stood on shaky legs and walked over to the girl next to the hole. "Anything I can do?" She asked trying to be helpful.

The Room:

As the midnight heat from the outside world begins to seep into the Room, the person's within begin to perspire, sweating and aggravated by the events so far, annoyance may run high and despair is already loose and rampant, the view from the window is obscured by a larger building opposite to the building which housed The Room, by all appearances it appeared to be a derelict warehouse of some sort, the light seeping into the room came from a still working flood light found right above the window, it had been cracked and angled so it pointed directly within the Room, all apparent light sources in the Room did not work.

As Rachel peers into the small alcove found behind the lettering on the wall, a brick in the middle which had previously been overlooked, had a note strapped to it, readable with the light it said, "No peeking", on further inspection one would find the brick is loose and removable, does one dare to tempt fate and remove the brick?

Jessica noticed the writing on the stone. No Peeking. She went to grab it but stopped. She looked at Rachel. "Should I?"

Rachel was caught off guard when the blond girl suddenly seemed to appear next to her. She was probably thinking too hard and had lost all sens of anything that'd been happening around her for the past few minutes. She looked at the teenager, and then back at the stone inside the hole. No peeking... She thought to herself. Obviously, the person who put that there wanted the ones inside the room to be curious and try to see if there might be anything behind it. When Jessica spoke, Rachel looked at her with a curious look, then back at the stone again.

"I... ah..." she hesitated. "I really don't know if it's a good idea." She took a few step back to let Jessica take a better look. The girl could do what she wanted, but Rachel certainly wasn't going to touch it.

Jessica stood closer to it. She examined it. She put one hand on it, nothing seemed wrong with it. "I don't know..." She murmered. She contemplated on wether she should move it or not. Her head spun with all the possibilites that could happen if she moved it. She stared closer at it. Thinking.

Sakura bit her lip in hesitation. On the one hand, the person that had put them in here may have hidden the answer to escape in there and just wanted to mess with their heads. On the other hand, human instinct was after all to disobey, so it might have been trapped.
"If we want to get out of here," she finally began, "we should probably be prepared to take risks. I say we go for it."

As her hand closed around the brick, silence ensued, as if waiting for a bomb to go off, no one moved, a drip of sweat lead from someones face, hitting a small pool of dank, moldy water gathered on the wooden panel below, this droplet was enough to break the silence.

Joseph, in his unconcsious state, let out a pained groan, enough to cause the people within the Room to settle back to their normal states, or however close to normal it could be here.

As the brick was removed from its place of rest, a thin cord that had previously been wrapped around it, binding the note on it to the brick, was tugged, running back into the dark and gloomy recesses of where ever it lead, a faint click could be heard, like the sound of a revoler's hammer cocking into place.

Rachel watched Jessica as she pulled on the brick. She had to admit it, the girl had some guts. She didn't dare to more, all she could to was stare and hope for the best. Her mind had stopped working at this point, and as soon as the faint click noise was heard, her eyes widden but she remaind immobolized like a statue.

Only her eyes moved. She looked at Jessica, the brick, then Sakura and Joseph which laid on the floor.
