Yeah, he would take on the same Greek God/Goddess theme that the rest of the rangers have. Maybe a bit more frills or something since he's directly from the jar. He's also been locked up in there for a couple thousand years, so he's very antsy and a little out of it when it comes to socializing... I hope that gives you enough to at least start a profile.

Name: Sirius (the Myrmidon Ranger)
Age: Unknown (probably around 3000 years or older)
Appearance:
Image
Olympus Medallion/Power Ranger Color: Achilles Ring/Bronze (not exactly a medallion but the sixth ranger always has a unique morphing style)
Weapon: Achilles Shield and Spear
Zord: Bull (which first appears feral but transform into a Minotaur Megazord)
Bio
Long ago, after the Trojan War, and the death of Achilles, Sirius was a very skilled Myrmidon. So skilled, the Gods chose him for a task they deemed very important. He was charged with protecting the Olympus Urn (a jar that seemed to serve as a gate between two worlds) and was given the Achilles Ring so that the might of Achilles could be called upon in time of need. Around 3000 years passed, and Sirius grew weary of the task and desired his mortal life to be returned to him. When the Urn shattered, Sirius was finally released. But, in order to keep his newfound freedom, he must prevent the Rangers from gathering the shattered Urn (which would mean serving the very being he was supposed to be protecting the world from).
Pot Luck: An ancient guardian like Sirius has no real hobbies. Sirius is still getting used to the modern world and its ways. In fact, he doesn't even fluently speak English yet (he still speaks heavily in ancient Greek). Secondly, Sirius prays to gods that are considered myths, often times asking for a quick blessing from Ares before entering battle.

(I hope I got the bio stuff right...)

Actually I'm liking the profile very much. The only thing, and its quite minor, is the color since there's already a Bronze Power Mode for the rangers it could get confusing or redundant. Maybe pick a different color, like Titanium? Again, its very small and other than that it works very well with the story. Hopefully the IC will pick up once TheunholybondZ starts posting and then we'll get you into the story asap. :)

I picked Bronze because it fits the whole Bronze age era all the myths come from. Hmm, Titanium's been done already. How about... iron grey (basically a mix of black and grey)? I also thought a bronze ring with the name "Achilles" or "Myrmidon" etched around the band in ancient Greek would make for a cool morpher. I guess it could look like an iron ring...

By the way, did I get the stuff about the Urn right? Like was it created by the Gods? Is it like a gate between worlds?

EDIT: I gave him a spear in addition to a shield. I felt he needed more combat options.

Hmm... I see where you're coming from with the bronze. Maybe I could change the power up to copper or just leave it out all together... The ring and spear is fine, but I just realized Hedon has a buckler for the yellow ranger so I don't know if you might want to rethink that part... Maybe a mace? Something to think about. I'll go over the power ups so you can keep bronze though and suspect the IC will be ready for you to jump in pretty soon.

Well I just chose the famous Spear/Shield combination that ancient Greek Soldiers were known for. The shield Sirius has is large and round. Hedon uses a buckler which is much smaller than the shield I chose. The shield I chose is used for blocking and for a heavy strike with the edge, or for pushing back an enemy. Did you watch Deadliest Warrior (Ninja vs Spartan)? If not, look up the fight scene on Youtube and you'll pretty much see what type of combat Sirius will be using.

I can't use a club, because then I'd have to change from Achilles to Heracles (Heracles was famous for wielding a club), and my Zord would have to be changed to a lion (because Heracles was also famous for wearing lion skins). I cannot change heroes, because then I would have to change characters altogether. A Myrmidon Ranger calling upon the strength of Heracles makes no sense (plus Sirius is, himself, an actual Myrmidon from those times in his bio).

Lol, all right all right, you got me. The shield and spear can stay then. The mace was just a suggestion, but I can see how it could cause a problem. So since everything's set all we need is for Cranston to press the button...

I take it you control Billy?

I don't know what y'alls morphing call will be, but mine should be "By the power of..." nevermind... too much like He-Man... <_< err... I dunno, I guess it'll come to me eventually. But at first he'll probably just show up already morphed all the time, and we won't see his unmorphed form until he's a good guy. I hope someone on the team speaks Ancient Greek cause... that's probably all Sirius will speak until he's around long enough to pick up on English... xD

Actually, its Michael Cranston, Billy's great grandson who moved back from Aquitar to take care of another crisis. This is supposed to be the next chapter in the new series.

As for the transformation phrase, I haven't figured that out... I'll have to come up with something when it comes time. I'm sure Victoria will be able to translate a little bit. So we should have some idea of what he's saying...

Oh. My mistake.

Have you thought about what the rangers will actually look like? I've been sifting through Photobucket out of curiousity, and there are some fan-made ranger teams. Most are just photoshopped versions of canon teams, but there are some pretty decent ones.

This one's not bad.

This one is pretty good too.

Hmm I like the look of number two with maybe the helmet visors can be made to look like Trojan helmet openings each one shaped a little bit differently than the last. I'll figure out something by the next post...

I take it I'm the one on the far right (with the silver being turned into bronze)?

May I ask that my helmet visor be Spartan-based instead of Trojan-based? I figure it may as well, since my weapon is also Spartan in origin. *shrugs*

Yeah, that's fine. Also the checkered patch needs to go and instead of that belt thing, I was thinking of maybe having the medallions suspended in the middle of the chest with two white stripes going up and away to make the illusion of there being a strap.

Also, I was looking up the helmet shapes and there isn't much of a different from what I've been seeing as far as Trojan and Spartan helmets go...

Trojan:

Spartan:

I didn't do a lot of digging, but if you found something solely Spartan-esque, that's fine. Btw, its kinda ironic that your guy has the power of Achilles and yet is being modified to have Spartan qualities :D.

I only see subtle differences (such as the Trojan's edges appear smoother while the Spartan edges appear sharper) that wouldn't matter much.

Image
Here's a Trojan Helmet I found that looks more unique than the typical Spartan Helmet (notice the wider visor?).

Image
Not Greek, I know, but it DOES look like a design that would fit the Purple Ranger (God of Death, y'know?).

Image
This is called a Corinthian Helmet. This is basically what Spartans used.

Image
This is a Thracian Helmet. Hope you're get some ideas from these.
