Keiko detransformed "Yatta! We did it!" she screamed in excitement then she looked at Geoff she knew something didn't seem right. She called her agent "Yamada-kun take me back to where we were before... the desert place." Keiko said "Well guys meet you all there." she went into the car and sped off to the command centre. She took off and stared at her communicator "Did I do something wrong. Nande (why?) why did I have to end up like this." she asked herself.

An audible sigh of relief escaped from Lexie's lips once the beast was downed for good.
"Super Spectrum, power down." she said, her words lacking the zeal they had had only moments ago. Now that everything was said and done, she felt tired.

Once out of her suit, Lexie looked down. After being in her suit for so long, it was weird to see herself in jeans and her pale pink T-Shirt. Taking a step towards the jeep, Lexie winced. Now back in her sneakers her foot hurt worse. She made a mental note to get it checked out once back at the control center.

Lexie looked at Geoff as she heard the bleak news about Cranston sounding unhappy. She knew their teamwork would need, well, work. It was the first time they had all been together, what could really be expected? As Keiko sped off in her managers car, Lexie shook her head. Perfect example of something that needed work.

Ryo shrugged. "What's not to be happy about? We beat up the monster. Well... 'cept for Stevo. He didn't really do a whole lot." As far as Ryo was concerned, their team work was fine. Obviously it wasn't top-notch, as nobody here knew anything about the others beyond their names--some of them, not even full names. But they followed their leader's orders and worked together to bring down the beast. They had even combined their weapons to deliver the finishing blow, and with no prior training. To Ryo, it was a pretty good start. But, Cranston apparently thought otherwise.

"Super Spectrum, power down." Ryo kept the device in his ear in case the team needed to contact him on the way back. He replaced his own black helmet, which, now that he thought about it, wasn't quite as comfortable as his Ranger headgear, then swung a leg over his bike.

Ryo gave a casual two-finger salute to Geoff. "See you back at base, Red. Later, all."

As Ryo sped off through the desert, it occurred to him that Cranston should have prepared some form of transportation for the new Rangers. The Rangers of other time periods all had machines that could combine into a large mechanized warrior. Where were these vehicles now? Some of the past Zords, as they were called, were kind of dorky, but all things considered it was better than having everybody find a means of transportation on their own. Half the team was piling into Geoff's Jeep, after all.

With everyone in the car, Geoff took his time starting it up and driving back. It wasn't his intention to get there too fast considering how Cranston had reacted over the intercom. He had to wonder if he was really that disappointed, they'd managed to do defeat the monster... wasn't that good enough? He looked in the rear view mirror at Lexie, noting how much of an asset she was on the team. If the number ranking had meant anything, he was glad she was his number two.

The drive back didn't seem to take quite as long as it did towards the monster, despite the lower speed Geoff took this time. The command center loomed over them as he pulled up, Geoff was not one to agonize over something, but it was hard to not noticed this feeling of doubt trying to well up inside of him. As he walked into the Command Center with hopefully the rest of his team in toe, he kept his pride close, making sure there was no sign of him being defeated or under achieving.

"So Doc," said Geoff as he entered the lab. "What's up?" Strangely, Cranston was standing over by the viewing screen looking at coordinates, not their recent battle. Something was a little fishy...

"Oh," said Cranston once he saw them. "Sorry... great job in the battle."

"Huh?" asked Geoff. "I thought you were disappointed. You weren't exactly answering us over the intercom."

"That's cuz we's been goin' crazy over this," said Alpha as he brought up an image on the larger viewing screen. There for the rangers to see was a large spaceship hovering over the Earth in orbit. Suddenly an object was shot from it towards the Earth, then the ship completely vanished.

"What the hell is that?" asked Geoff.

"It seems that's one of the space ships from our friends, the NegaBots," Cranston confirmed while working some calculations into the computer. "They've sent a couple of their minions to check up on us it seems."

Second, it seems 7achary is not responding/playing along anymore so I guess I'll be putting out a call for someone else to take his place unless 7achary shows up soon.))

Keiko arrived at the base at the same time as Geoff. She looked at the viewing globe and stared at the ship she knew this wasn't a good thing at all "Friends? They look scary to me... like the name... NEGABOTS!" Keiko replied "So, I guess this is really our enemy right?" she looked at Cranston "Do we need any upgrades or anything like that to defeat them?" She knew she was asking too much so she went silent.

After a somewhat short ride, Staritix and Delen arrived on the scene, just missing the group of Power Rangers by a few minutes. Not that either party had an idea of the others whereabouts or even how close they had been to coming face to face. Starlitix hopped off of the hoverboard and started to scan around the area, her eyes glowing a soft blue color. The source of the energy was no longer at the scene but it had left it's presence all over the area.

She took a few steps forward, looking down at the ground where her scanner was picking up something. She knelt down slowly, a hand reaching out to touch the burned dirt. As she lifted her hand up, she brought it to her face to inspect it closer. Traces of stardust and something still remained. Staritix glanced over her shoulder to Delen and frowned a little. "Whatever was here, we just missed it. Perhaps it was what the King sent us down here to find?" She suggested with a curious tone.

She turned from him for a moment, pressing a few buttons into her mini-computer. She sent a sample of the trace amounts of energy they found scattered around the area back to the main ship in hopes of those on the base were able to figure out what it was. After a moment, she turned back to Delen. There was no trail that would lead them to the Rangers but she figured that the city would be a good place to start.

"Let's get to the city."

Lexie exited the jeep, slowly moving towards the command center. Once inside, she found a counter like area, void of buttons, to lean on. It felt good to once again have her weight off of her foot. From the outskirts of the group, she listened to Cranston explain his theory about something being out there, possibly looking for them.

"You mean there things out there worse than what we just fought?" she asked, hoping his answer would be no, but knowing it was a false hope. "well, it's good to know you aren't all bad moody because of us."

Cranston looked over to see Lexie leaning against a counter... almost as if she was favoring an injured leg. Remembering her tumble from the fight he watched over the screens, he could guess that had something to do with it.

"Alpha," he said turning back to the computer in front of him. "Can you see to Lexie's ankle. For as much as she took, looks like she got away with a sprained ankle." He turned back to wink at her, noting how much she had played in the fight, well all of them had done a good job, but he was happy with her efforts.

"By the way," he said taking a break from the computer yet again. "I wanted to congratulate you all on a job well done. I was very impressed by your skills."

"Are you sure," Geoff asked. "It was a bit of a mess."

"Yeah," said Frank. "I pretty much fell asleep on them, there's no way that was the best fight ever."

"Of course it wasn't," replied Cranston. "I never expected you guys to knock out that monster in five seconds. Seeing your teamwork was inspiring though, and I can understand what the Super Spectrum saw in each of you. And Frank," he turned to look at him to make him pay attention. "Just don't do it again. If sleeps a problem, I'll have Alpha run plenty of 'tests' to see what's the problem..."

"Gulp!" was all that came from Frank on that last sentence. He simply nodded and leaned back to keep himself from getting any more attention.

"Now," said Cranston to return back to the matter at hand. "We're not sure on what the NegaBots are doing here, but we have to keep an eye open to make sure they don't do anything detrimental to..."

Suddenly the alarm that went off before from the test monster began to sound again. This time instead of the monster was something different. Two humans looked to be in view of the screen.

"What's up with those two?" asked Geoff. "Surely those two can't be monsters."

"This is strange," said Cranston as he fiddled with the control panel in front of him. "The sensors say they're giving off negative energy similar to the NegaBots, but they don't look anything like them... You should probably go check it out, just in case."

"Right," said Geoff as he turned to leave.

"Oh, hold on a moment," yelled Cranston as he grabbed a box on the counter next to him. "I forgot to give these to you." He threw a key to each of them. "These are the keys to your Spectrum Specialized Vehicles. I've made specifications based on each of your backgrounds, so traveling should be a little easier this time."

((These are just regular vehicles, not the zords. Those will become apparent in the next battle once LCB summons a monster for us to fight and makes it grow. For now, these are just your dream car/motorcycles/vehicle for your character to get around with the rest of the group.))

TJ and Tamya had just walked in, being the last in line on the drive back to the Command Center. Cranston had just started talking about how their teamwork was inspiring, TJ shrugged guessing that he must had done something right in order for Cranston to be pleased. He listened to the information about the Negabots and saw the ship as it shot something to the earth and then vanished.

Tamya leaned against the wall and TJ stood beside Geoff as Cranston continued. Suddenly the alarm went off and two what seemed to be humans appeared on the screen, "that's odd," TJ said, "they look HUMAN," he leaned his head to the side, his face giving off a confused look, but his confusion was broken when Cranston told them to go check it out. Geoff had turned to leave but Cranston stopped him and threw keys at each of them. TJ and Tamya caught their keys, looked at them and smile, Tamya was happy as she got to drive, TJ was just excited about being a Power Ranger.

"Last one in is a rotten egg," TJ said rushing towards the Spectrum Specialized Vehicles or SSVs for short. He saw his with the 7 point start on the hood and jumped in, the driver seat was filled with different buttons and knobs, "whoa," TJ said as he put the key in the ignition and started his vehicle, Tamya did the same a horizontally aligned diamond planted on the hood of her vehicle. She followed suite igniting the engine and waiting.

((You mean SSVs, right? ))

"Should make them easier to beat up, then, yeah?" said Ryo to TJ as he snatched his set of keys out of the air.

It was kind of a relief that they weren't going to be up against giant ugly monsters every day of the week. Being a Power Ranger would quickly lose its intrigue if that were the case. Ryo had also been wondering about the Negabots. This was his chance to find out about them, learn what they were capable of--what the Rangers were ultimately up against.

Ryo hopped a small iron railing and crossed the floor to the only vehicle that could be his: an indigo hyperbike, sleek and glossy, with a hexagonal design adorning the front fender. He sat down on the plush leather seat. It was comfortable, but he was accustomed to his own Suzuki. Hopefully he wouldn't have to give it up for this bike. Ryo put the key in the ignition and twisted. Well, this one was just as loud as the other, at the very least. Ryo hoped he would get a chance to test the machine's speed, as well.

"Finally a vehicle! How convinient!" Keiko laughed she grabbed her car keys and went to the SSV's she saw her vehicle it was a motorcycle with a shape of a yellow triangle at the front and the side's covered by an enlarged K which was very coincidental. The sides had a black bolded number three with a gold lightning bolt behind the number. She smiled "Sugoi!" she grabbed her key tightly "Cranston! Why is this place full of convenient things?!" she asked in amazement.

She looked at Ryo he was testing his motorbike she hopped onto her bike and placed the key in the ignition and twisted it "Ignition accepted. Body structure analyzed, Yellow Goldenrod Ranger" said the bike's speakers.

"Can I turn that off?" Keiko asked "she searched for the button and finally found it "Ah here it is!" Blue lights trailed through a black line in the middle of the bike. It seemed very convinient for her. Then her phone rang she used her head set to link her headset with the phone "Hello?... oh... it's you... what do you want? Me? Maybe um.... 30 years time you can call again! Bye!" she gave a really serous face it was her father. She never wanted to talk to him he has now worked as an ambassador of Japan in the USA.

At Cranston's request, Alpha appeared by Lexie's side with a first aid kit. She took the kit from the robot and opened it, pleased to find an assortment of bandages. "Thanks," she said, feeling weird talking to a robot "I can take it from here. Years of dance injuries have made me a pro at this stuff." Lexie pulled out a long, tan bandage. She then placed it on the counter and turned so she was able to prop her foot up by the bandage, making it easier for her to pull off her shoe. She was glad that flexibility made this a relatively easy task. Carefully, she began to expertly wrap the bandage around her injured ankle, securing it with two silver metal clips.

Once done, Lexie replaced her shoe and put her foot back on the ground. As a test, she bounced from foot to foot. The pain wasn't completely gone, but there was a definite improvement to her comfort. "Alright, much better" she said, making a mental note to take care of the rest of her bumps and bruises when she got home.

By this time, everyone was claiming the keys to their new ranger vehicles. Lexie took her set, matching the keys up easily to her new car. She was shocked to see a new Audi R8. Of course it was orange. Dark orange, with two silver stripes on the back. 'This won't stand out or anything...' Lexie said as she got into her car. As soon as she put her key in the ignition, a body recognition process occurred. Once the car was sure Lexie was driver, screens and a GPS began to illuminate.

"Alright, I'm ready to go." Lexie said into her communicator. She revved her engine for emphasis. Audi's were known for being fast, easy to maneuver cars. This one was even customized for their current desert surroundings. Lexie's heart pounded in anticipation... she couldn't wait to drive.

The new cars seemed to revitalize them, or so Geoff contemplated as he manuvered to his own SSV. A red circle pointed to his soft top jeep with cherry red paint and beige interior... just how God intended it to be. As Geoff climbed in he noticed the sensor, along with all the other instruments and gadgets making his custom jeep look like Tinker Toys...

He looked over to see Frank jump in his own SSV, of course Frank had to have a modified Lamborgini with the top down. The cerulean pentagon and matching pin stripping down the sides seemed to sit well with him as no complaints were heard.

"Let's move 'em out!" said Frank through the intercom. Geoff had to laugh at his remark, but was happy to hear his team ready to go.

"Alright," said Geoff as he started his jeep. "Set your GPS and get the hell going!" A couple taps on his GPS screen and he was quickly out of the hangar, followed by Frank some ways back. The drive seemed to go smoothly and without any complications, which was nice considering the confusing bit that was going to come up in a few minutes. Why were the sensors going crazy over two humans? There had to be something that made them go nuts...

After about a ten minute ride, Geoff pulled into the city a couple feet away from where the two 'humans' were located. He quickly cut the ignition and jumped out of his car. "Hey! You two! Can I... uh... have a word?"

Keiko arrived with Geoff in her motorbike. She jumped out of her bike and nudged him "Geoff, you aren't supposed to say it like that!" she looked at Geoff "Be more meaner!" Keiko suggested "We don't even know if they are our friends or enemies... sound neutral at least." Keiko patted him on the back "Do that again with more force!"

She had tied her hair to the back of her head and using two steaks of hair at the front for her fringe "Come on you can do it! Ganbatte ne!"

((since this is based in the future...can t he vehicles HOVER?!))

TJ and Tamya arrived at the same time as Geoff. They quickly followed suite, exiting their vehicles quickly to accompany Geoff in his interogation. Keiko jumped off her bike and began to instruct Geoff on how he should talk to the two supposed humans. TJ smirked and Tamya rolled her eyes as they stood their ready for anything.

"Keiko he is the leader I am sure he is capable," Tamya spoke giving a smile to show that she wasn't trying to be mean or anything like that.

"It's the first day of work, I'm just helping him." Keiko said exchanging a smile to Tamya. "But this means business so I'll just stand in the sidelines for now." she shuffled over to Tamya and TJ and checked Geoff he looked nervous according to Keiko but it's his first day so she needs to encourage him.

She knew those two really reminded her of her father so she decided to jump inside but was reluctant to do so.

Frank was on the scene shortly after the others showed up, jumping out of the car while noting the smooth ride and a couple modifications he would have to make when he got a chance. It was amusing to hear Keiko and Tamya have a friendly little spar over Geoff's leadership qualities, but he would hold his tongue to keep from escalating any further spats. He pointed over the suspected two while looking at Geoff,

"These the two? They don't look like much."

"Yeah," Geoff nodded while keeping his eye on the two. "That's the weird thing, they look like us, so I'm having a little trouble being aggressive at the moment." He nodded at Keiko's comments, "I agree, but right now's not the time to go out guns blazing. Better to get a feel of things..."

Ryo and Lexie were the last two to arrive, probably not that far behind, and then they would be ready for anything. Of course he had to figure out what these two were going to do. He figured a little nudging would give them a sneak peek...

"So what do you two have in store? Just going to stand there and look pretty?"

Staritix and Delen had just arrived into the city and had started a bit of exploration when they were approached by a group of humans. She gave Delen an odd look, her brow arched before she turned her gaze back toward the humans, slowly stepping off of the hoverboard they had been riding on. Star reached down to smooth out the lower half of the white dress she had been wearing, her appearance definitely more innocent than Delen's was. She gave a confused look at the humans, her eyes focusing on Geoff.

"I am unsure of what you're talking about, mister," she told him, looking at him with soft blue eyes. She held her hands up in a defensive manner, taking a few steps in their direction. "I think you might have us confused with someone else or something." As she spoke and attempted to convince the Rangers that they were nothing more than innocent bystanders, Staritix took a glance at the others in the group, figuring that if worse came to worse, her and Delen could fight them off long enough to make an escape.

Geoff eyed the woman in front of them with the highest suspicion while he could see Frank over there giving her the googly eyes. He could tell this would be a weak point of any in that part of the team, so a couple slaps and smacks around the place would be in order to keep Frank in check. He looked over the the guy that stood behind the woman, giving off a very Conan-esque appeal. Clearly these two were anything but ordinary.

"I highly doubt your innocence," he said with a wry grin. "Though, I can only imagine what you have planned for this city."

Frank studied the woman from his position, noting her sheer beauty while failing horribly to keep those evident emotions to himself. He wondered what could be hiding under that supple exterior... how big were this cat's claws going to be?

"Who's your friend?" he asked after Geoff. "Looks like tweeked out version of Arnold..."

The dark blue motorcycle carrying the Indigo Ranger pulled up next to Geoff. Ryo dismounted and removed his glossy black helmet. His ears were exposed at just the right moment to catch Frank's observation. Ryo couldn't help but follow up.

"Arnold? That clown? This guy looks like he eats Arnolds for breakfast." Ryo flicked his chin in the man's direction, then looked to his leader. "So, what's the plan? We gonna take these two out or what?"

Truthfully, after playing such a minor role in the previous fight, Ryo was itching for something more, an excuse to try out his new abilities. He wanted some one-on-one time with one of the baddies. But even through all his anticipation Ryo could see the flaw in Cranston's plan. The figures standing before the Rangers now looked like nothing more than humans, and acted like nothing more than mere humans. Why would Cranston send the team to investigate them?

"But," he whispered close to Geoff's ear, "maybe we should let them make the first move. Y'know, make sure they're really bad guys. Wouldn't be good for your rep if we decked a couple of civilians."
