As Louise was following in the footsteps of the little princess, her mood was drastically changed by one glance through the warm window. How on earth could Jamie have found out where she lived, let alone use so much of his money and time when she had clearly told him that she didn't want to include him into her life any more. But there he was, staring right back with those bright brown eyes of his and begging her silently to have at least five minutes of conversation. After all, he had gone through a lot of trouble to come here.
"Wait right here, Angel, I'll be right back. You can take out the dress and all of the accessories so we'll get right into dressing you up when I get back", she promised, gently brushing the top of Nicole's hair and then planted a small kiss onto it. Rushed by the image of Jamie, Louise made her feet work fast and didn't think long before wrapping her arms around her once best friend and letting him kiss her cheek, no matter what Aiden would have said.
"Oh God, I've been waiting this for so long", he realised, saying it out loud as a few tears glimmered in his eyes. Pulling back from the hug, Jamie set his hands on her shoulders and let out a relieved laugh, mixed with confusion and happiness: "How could you ever do this? Vegas has been so boring without you."
"You have to believe that I did it for peace's sake, Aiden didn't seem to get the fact that we're only friends", Louise assured and took in a deep breath to calm herself down. Showing that he believed her, Jamie nodded and quickly wiped the tears that had strayed away.
"So how has it been?" he asked, crossing his shaking arms over his chest and looking at her over all appearance: "I see you got a new piercing!"
"A total mayhem at times. Like every couple, we've had our fights, but we now are pulling through. Actually, we're babysitting Aiden's cousins right at the moment so I need to head back to look after one of them", Louise remembered, taking a step back as if in preparation of leaving. Jumping at the chance, Jamie pulled her into one more hug and then put his hand up as a goodbye: "I'm staying at a motel near by for a couple of nights before continuing to New York so be sure to stop by before I leave."
Shaking her head, Louise promised and showed him the smile that had formed onto her lips: "You bet I will!" Taking her steps backwards, she watched the boy get back into his car and then bent down to pick up the keys that had fallen from her pocket. Colliding with a tree in the thrust provided by a black SUV driving to high for most of the speed limits, the force broke her neck and sent her flying, higher than ever before.
