Aiden was inside paying for the gas and their food and drinks when he saw Louise. "Hey." he said smiling at her.

"Hello", Louise replied, taking some of the stuff onto her arms so that Aiden wouldn't have to carry them all: "Nice choices you got.." Bobbing her head approvingly, she turned to go back to the car, but noticed something indifferent on the magazine stand.
"Oh my, a new Cosmo. I really need to get that", she assured to herself, but couldn't help thinking her financial situation. Taking a step closer, she saw that it was a special edition and gasped; the price had even been lowered by a dollar! Louise made sure that everything was steadily in her hands before grabbing the magazine with one and bringing it over to the cashier to purchase.

Joyous that she had gotten the magazine, Louise grinned all the way back to the car and carefully dropped their things onto her lap after sitting down. A small squeal passed her lips as she opened the first page and started greedily reading what was going on.

Aiden sighed and paid for their stuff and then walked out. He went back to the car and put the stuff in the seat and then got in and started the car up. The music came on and he turned it up as he pulled out of the parking lot and back onto the main road.

Louise opened one of the sandwich boxes and laid a napkin to cover her shirt while still reading the article in front of her. Munching away her snack, she flipped the page and read the last paragraph, sighing since it had been so happy: "Aww."

To tell the truth, she didn't know where all this new found energy came from. Maybe it was the fact that she and Aiden had finally got the chance to say what was on their mind or perhaps she was subconsciously just really glad to be going to Vegas. Louise glanced over him, him who had just added the volume and laid over the hand rest that was in between them. Her hand went his knee as she stroked on it: "You seem upset."

"I'm fine." Aiden said as he looked down at her for a moment before turning back to the road. He continued driving as he let MCR's song I'm Not Okay blast in the background. He sung quietly to it as he turned onto the highway.

"Alright", she said cautiously, lifting her hands up in front her as she backed away a little. Clearly the song was a metaphor to what he was feeling like at the moment and Louise couldn't help wondering if something was cooking under the surface again. Starting on another article, her thoughts seemed to be running from her grasp. Louise stared out of the window, only then realising that Aiden was singing along and turned to him again: "You've got a good voice. And I am not saying just because I should, I really do think so."

He would most likely either tell her to piss off or thank her for her kind words.

"Thanks." Aiden said. He thought for a moment. "Who was really on the phone when I asked you earlier?" he asked as he stopped at a toll gate and waited for the people in front to go. "And you don't have to lie to me..I can handle it." he said and started pulling out the money for the toll.

Louise furrowed her eyebrows in question, but inside worried like a beauty pageant queen who's hair had just caught fire. Her heart thumped a little faster than normal as used her hand to tug on her sleeves and crumbled the napkin now filled with tiny bits of bread.
"I told you Aiden, an old friend of mine. Well not really a friend since the last time we saw each other we didn't part in such good conditions. It doesn't matter anyway. It was just a phone call", she shrugged it off as she scratched her palm.

"Aww, is that what you were thinking about during the ride from the gas station? I seriously thought it would have been something much more", Louise chuckled, keeping her smile as they reached the guy who gave them their admission.

"Yeah..." Aiden said as he took the ticket and then drove off once the bar went up. He put the ticket next to him and continued driving. As it began to get dark and they entered the next state he looked over at her. "Let's get a hotel for the night." he said. "We can continue driving in the morning." he added.

"I agree", Louise told him, even though she wasn't even the one driving the trip had taken a toll on her. She started collecting all the trash that had generated from what they bought from the gas station and made sure to place her Cosmopolitan neatly into her bag so she for sure wouldn't lose it. They pulled up to a nice enough looking hotel and Louise got out of the car to take their bags from the back; Aiden obviously shouldn't have to do it since he had gotten out of the hospital the very same day.

"Do we have the money to do this? We have to start thinking how we're gonna spend our money so we won't get into trouble later on", she asked as she yanked her bigger bag and moved over to haul Aiden's on top of it.

"We have enough." Aiden said as he parked and put the keys in his pocket and then got out. "Do you want me to help with the bags?" he asked her. He hoped that she wasn't babying him since he just got out of the hospital. He could carry bags to a hotel room it wasn't the hardest thing to do. He went around to Louise was and waited for her answer.

"Nahh, I need to prove myself that I can..." Louise lifted one of the straps over her shoulder and let out some air; "I have enough strength to at least do this." She had remembered the small talk about his delicious BLT's and how she would want one every single day for the rest of her life.

Dragging the bags and herself, she managed to get over to the desk and asked for the most basic room they had, signing them in and then travelling over to the elevator. This was where Louise's smoker's lungs showed: somebody of the same age height wouldn't probably have as much trouble doing it. When they finally had reached the elevator and there were no other people and kissed Aiden while smiling: "See babe. My nickname could be Wonderwoman."

"I guess it should." Aiden said as they got out of the elevator and walked down the hall to their room. He opened the door for her and let her in first before following her. He shut the door behind him and sat down.

"I wonder if we can order BLT's through room service." Aiden said looking over at her.

"That's funny, I just thought of the same thing!" Louise exclaimed after having set the bags down and turning to look at him: "I think there's no harm in trying."

She picked up the phone that was hooked on to the wall and pressed button number one, where on the side it said: room service. Explaining the matter to the chef, her phone began to ring again and Louise dug it out of her pocket. The name on the screen made her sigh and cut the person off, then concentrating on the Frenchman who was trying to understand her order: ".. Yes, tomato.. T-O-M-A-T-O.. Thank you."

She tossed her phone back onto the bed finished the phone call at the same while: "The food's going to be brought up in about ten minutes, they said they'd at least try... But I need to use the bathroom." Louise walked over to Aiden and placed a kiss onto his hair before going to the restroom.

Aiden nodded and once she went in the bathroom he reached over and looked at her phone once it began ringing again. He saw some girls name pop up so he figured it was her friend or something and tossed it back and then began looking through the bags for his pajamas.

Louise washed her hands and used the incredibly soft towel to dry her hands. Walking over to the bed, she saw her phone flashing once again so she went on and switched it off completely, shoving it to one of the pockets of her bag before searching elsewhere for her big t-shirt. After a minute or so, she found her toothbrush and paste, having to go over to the bathroom again to cleanse her teeth.

"So what's our plan tomorrow? Drive the rest of the way to Vegas and then chill out somewhere?" she questioned as she had changed her clothes and felt fresh again. Louise hid her clothes back into her bag and then made herself comfortable on the bed.

Aiden began changing. "We'll continue driving and if we don't get to Las Vegas by tomorrow night around this time we'll stop again." he said as he took his shirt off. His stomach and chest were covered in scars from the surgery and he just left his shirt off not wanting to put it back on.

Louise's gaze rose from her hands and let it trail on his scarred, but toned body. She tried breathing evenly and shifting her position, not being able to escape the thought that all of the marks were there because of her. At last she could trail off the intense stare and fluffed up the pillows, Louise's eyes' beginning to water a little.

"I am truly sorry baby. I thought you were just going to go some place near to let out steams", she explained herself, referring to the accident.

Aiden looked at her. He walked over and sat down beside her and wrapped his arm around her. "Don't blame yourself." he said kissing her forehead. "It's my fault too." he said. He rested his head on top of hers and looked at the wall.

Louise curled her legs up against her body and leant onto Aiden's making sure she wasn't touching any sore spot from earlier. One of her fingers traced against the scars lightly, feeling the small mound every time her touch went over it.

"You know I'd never want to hurt you emotionally or physically, right?" she said, reassuring herself at the same while. Louise's hands dropped into his lap as she muttered out another question: "Why would you want to get married to an unstable girl like me?"
