PROJECT 13: THE ANIMAL EXPERIMENT

In the year 2020 scientists successfully found a way to splice the DNA of humans with other DNA based lifeforms and plants. At first all of the experiments were a failure, and all of the test subjects were killed during the splicing procedure. When they finally found a way to perfect it they began to creature what they wanted to be the next step in the human race. But the first few of the experiments were unstable, deadly. They were locked away in the lower levels of the under ground facility, and the doctors went onto the next step. They are no perfecting their design and they are getting what they want, only those who are experimented on do not feel that they are the next step. They were all orphans just looking for a home, orphans that were tricked into going with the doctors.

Before they are experimented on they are brought to holding cells, sorted by age and sex. The younger children are given some kind of soft toy to keep them calm and happy, but it does not always work. The girls are submissive and easy to scare where most often the boys are rowdy and try and fight back. The older kids are just stuffed into the cells, as many as they can fit, dressed in only rags. Careful records are kept and after three days with no food the kids are taken to the splicing labs. Three children at a time.

There are three stages to the experiments. The first stage, code named Alpha Stage, is where the body gets used to and assimilates the new DNA implanted in them. This process is minimally painful, and lasts about three to four days. The second stage, Beta Stage, is where the body begins to manufacture and reproduce the DNA, changing the body in the process. This lasts around three to four weeks, and is insanely painful. The third and final stage, called Omega Stage, is where the human DNA has fully integrated with the animal DNA. This stage is permanent, and results in minimal to no pain.

There is something else that the change brings about that the scientists have not been able to figure out. After the subject reaches adulthood, around 20-22, the body stops aging. Somehow, the integration of the new DNA has made the experiments immortal.

Once they are spliced they are categorized by the DNA that is spliced into them and put in holding cells with others like them. When they are old enough certain Experiments are taken to be bred. Sometimes both parties are willing, or they volunteer. While other times it is forced. Either way all of them have one thing on their minds. Freedom.

Once you have been accepted and spliced, you will be put into cells. As described above, animals of the same species are put into the same cages. Males and femals are separated, males being put on the top row of cellblocks, and females on the bottom. Also, this is not a complete map. The complex stretches for almost a mile into the side of a mountain. This is just the stretch that our characters will be put into.

Biography: Oni, like many of the others, had been taken. She had lived on the streets of Chicago, being a homeless kid with no real future. She was taken in the middle of the night while her and the others were sleeping. She was woke up and a bag was stuffed over her head. She was then thrown into a truck and she was driven for what seemed like ever with very few stops. After that she was put on a plane, but drugged so she had no idea where she was taken or how long she was on the plane.

Biography: Nova was taken from her house when she was five years old because of her heterochromia. Her Aunt was one of the doctors and figured her neice was worthy of being subjected to their expirements because she shared her DNA. Her Aunt died two years later of lung cancer. Nova has always been an outgoing person and optimistic at that. She realizes that there is a great chance she will never see the sky again but she tries to keep everything happy so the little children aren't so scared all of the time. Nova is fluent in french having been raised until she was five with speaking french prodimenantly and english as a second language.

Biography: Kei doesn't remember most of his life. He just woke up one day and found himself on the streets with a throbbing headache in the rain. He had started to wander around looking for a place to stay. He had no recolection of anything. He assumed he had obtained the headache from some kind of accident that had accured. Then the doctors found him and told him that they would offer him a family and his memory. It was too much to resist so he went with them.
Appearance: Kei had short black hair and emerald green eyes. He skin is slightly pale but not unhealthy. He stands about 5'9. He is lean but not starved and has a bit of muscle on his frame. (NO ANIME PICS!!!)

Biography:
Urso can't remember anything about his past life. All he remembers is waking up in his cold metal box. Alone. Abandoned. Over the years, he has seen a few others like himself come and go, but none stay. And so he is left alone, in his shell, slipping slowly away into insanity.
Appearance:
Urso is possibly one of the more perfect splicings. His body is almost literally half-bear. He stands at around 6'6" and weighs a heavily muscled 250 pounds. He has a normal chest, thighs, and upper arms of a man. But his hands and feet have been transformed into paws, and his calf and forearm highly resemble their bear counterparts. In his mouth Urso has the fangs of a bear, as well as an enlarged set of molars. Urso's eyes are a stony, onyx black, including the normally white parts. All over his body, the fur that has grown out of his skin is a pure, snowy white. Including his hair. his skin, speaking of it, is a dark tan. His chest and upper back are wide, as are his forearms and thighs. His stomach and lower back taper in a bit, but flare out again at his thighs. He has massive paws for hands and feet.

Normally, Urso wears nothing but a simple white loincloth, to cover the parts that the splicing failed to change.
