Wolf rp!
Setting: A newly formed wolf pack has just staked their claim. Despite the neighboring sabertooth pride they're doing fine. Instead of the traditional alpha beta method they've elected a council in addition to it but the pack is finding that rough times lie ahead when the sabers force them out. They're nomads now. The government stays but extra work is needed so everyone is assigned a job (scout, gaurd, warrior [elite gaurds], hunters, etc.)
Where do I fit in? Wherever you want. As long as your character is a wolf and is ready for life on the road. spots are open for the council so grab them fast!
How do I get on the council? Firstly, you'll have to make sure one of the following jobs isn't taken:
-Head Scout *(speed, invisibility, can changes appearece, ability to see a bird's eye view of their location using water)*
-Head Hunter-*(strength, speed slightly slower than the Head Scout, can see through rock or wood, can read prey's mind if focuse enough on the hunt)*
-Head Gaurd-*(superior strength, can read minds by touching someone, can climb trees, swim underwater for about 2 min., cotrols wind to an extent)*
-No job alpha *(Great wisdom, able to automatically sense moods)*
-No job beta*(a type of siren's song that lures prey)*
-Healer *(large knowledge of herbs and remedies)*

Personality:Eisley is new to the job so this will be the first year she can mate. She's stealthy by nature because of job and unquestionably loyal. She's also wise beyond her years but ready to have fun.

Eisley was running. Not because she was late to another council meeting or she was scared..she was running because she could. She felt lucky, blessed even to be able to run from the pack and have no one ask where she was going. She was the Head Scout. No one below her rank questioned her authority. She wanted somone to catch her, though. Someone to slowe her down. Make her stop. To tell her that the sabers, the fire, everything was far behind them. They'd made it out with basically the whole pack intact. That wasn't what scared her. They were past that. They'd left that behind them along with home almost a full moon's cycle ago. Now the moon was hardly tere...a sliver of white gold in the sky above her. What scared Eisley was that she had a time limit. A limited amount of time to find someone she loved...or could at least mate with. And it wasn't just her. It was the whole council. All six of them. What if she couldn't? That's why she was running...of course she'd be back...she was turning back now. She couldn't go any further without losing the scent of the pack. Something she was used to but not entirely comfortable with.

Name: Zeeia, also called Zee

Position: Head Hunter
Looks:
Personality: Stubborn and opinionated, Zee is a fiery-hearted wolf with an attitude. Though one would expect her to be impatient, she really is the most patient of them all. Often scares other wolves by approaching them, as silence is an instinctual habit. Has been on the job of Head Hunter for about eight moons, but yet hasn't mated before. She is fearless and loyal, often first to take the blame for her friends.

Name: Lorika

Sex: Female

Position: No job beta

Looks: Skinny medium. Lorika has a decent sized tail, but it's not overly bushy. Her form is sleek and refined; from a distance it is obvious she is female. To put it simply, the lower half of her body is a tangerine hue while her upper body and the "socks" on her feet are a burnt orange. She has emerald colored eyes that greatly offset the orange colors of her pelt.

Personality: Lorika is careful, quiet, and a non-warrior. She dislikes confrontations of any kind. She has devoted herself to becoming in-tune with her surroundings and enjoys nature. She remains calm and collected if an outbreak occurs, and does all she can to prompt a treaty or stop battles. Currently alone and somewhat rejected by the pack, she still hasn't completely found herself, but has great potential... if only someone would give her a chance.

Zee pawed through the woods, silent although being careless. For the first time in a while, her eyes were somber. Not angry, like when someone offended her or her friends. Not fearless, like they were when she sparred with the other wolves. Not playful, like when she poked fun at her friends. Not glazed, as they were on the hunt. They were serious; deep in thought; and even a little depressed.

The council had come to a decision; a decision not supported by Zee. But they had outweighed her and those who would vote with her. Now it was final: each of the Council members would have to mate, so as to keep the pack alive. There had been an unusual shortage of pups; the last beta had died in birthing, leaving her pups to die without their mother's milk.

So now Zee was worried, something she could seldom be. Worried, because fall was approaching, fast, and that meant mating season. And that meant finding that someone, but who was that someone? Zee had her values; and one she valued the most was that she would only mate with the special someone. She wouldn't be able to live with herself if she had pups to some wolf she barely knew.

But now Zee saw Eisley, the lead scout, running away from camp. She sprinted after the scout, glad of a destraction and a companion who shared her sentiments, almost.

"Eisley!! Wait up!! " But the scout kept running, and Zee put on her full speed, still lagging a few steps behind.

Eisley could hear the scout...but she couldn't stop. Not yet. All three of the males all the council had voted that mating be required...inwardly she snorted. Of course they would. She could feel herself beginning to slow...but her camoflouge began to pick up. She quickly melted into the trees and she was running again but this time there was no way to see her and the wind was wrong for Zee to find her. Guilt panged her a little now but she could explain later. She just needed to be alone.

Zee skidded to a halt, shaking her head and sighing. Well, it was probably better. Zee needed to go and come to terms with the impending transaction, so she stalked off through the woods alone and finally came to a small clearing bordering on the edge of a crystalline lake. She sat down at its edge, staring off into space. The moonlight danced on the clear blue water, and the stars sparkled millions of miles above her, revelling in their glittery glory. But though usually Zee ould've sighed in contentment, under the stars on a beautiful night, tonight she sighed with worry, and let her mind torture herself.

"Zee..."

She slipped out from between the trees, her slender orange bod obvious in the darkness of the night. She sniffed the air once more, sure that Zee's scent was showing her to be nearby. She plodded along, moving into the open area slowly, tail stiff, but slightly curled under; she was scared.

Lorika hated any possibility of violence or fighting, and the night usually brought forth the opportunity for such things. Those that are less pure in their souls tend to venture out at night and bring chaos upon the innocent.

She continued on until she found the female, her ears instantly perking, her tail offering a few wags. She quietly made her way to her, not wanting to startle her out of her apparent deep thoughts. With her cold nose she nudged the wolf's lower ribs, a light whimper issuing from her.

"Zee... we need to talk... I missed the meeting... what, what was decided?"

She was thoroughly embarrassed; she had left the pack to find solace and ended up sleeping through one of the most important meetings for this year. As she had awoken, she had felt that something was stirring, something that not all the pack had agreed on and had caused an upset... something odd...

She didn't like this at all, not one bit. She desperately needed Zee to inform her, and hopefully not demean her for her absence.

Name: Lunarus

Sex: male

Position: no job alpha

Looks: Large Tall. He is the largest wolf in the pack. Lunarus has silver fur with a solitary black stripe of fur between his eyes which narrows at his snout. He has a scar over his right eye from a fight back when he was only a pup. His right eye is also cloudy and white with no pupil, while the other is a icy blue. His eye changes between blue and a Fiery gold, depending on if he is angered or not. His tail is medium in legth and is more steel gray then silver. The socks of his feet are also snow white.

Personality: Lunarus is mostly solitary, unless meeting with the rest of his pack. He tends to keep to himself unless he is needed for the council. He has a short temper but he rarly lashes out. He keeps his thoughts that he deciedes unnecessary to himself. He also has many plans and strategies for different situations. Has an eye for Lorika, although he never speaks out loud about it.

It took a moment for Zee to come out of her trance-like state, and although seeing Lorika perked her up a bit, there was still that foreign worry in her eyes.

" You missed the council? Lucky wolf. " Zee sighed, than began a recount of what happened.

" As you may know, with the beta dying last year along with her pups, we suffered a loss. But the true capacity of that loss has been hidden from us for a while. Anyways, the council called us together to discuss the means of repopulating the tribe. " Her voice began to sound disgusted, and a familiar angry fire burned behind her eyes. But her voice quieted. " All of the council members have to mate. "

Lorika gently lowerd herself to the ground, her tail flicking around her hind legs, covering her paws to warm them slightly. Her ears laid back as Zee spoke, her brows furrowing as she watched the female wolf, slowly digesting the information she was being presented with. It was clear that Zee was upset, the anger that flared within her bright orbs could not be hidden. With a sigh, she looked away, cautiously gathering her thoughts before she spoke, trying to decide how to speak on the situation.

Her thoughts wandered momentarily, thinking back a year ago to the last beta, the female that had given her life to produce pups, and then the death of those very pups. She shivered as the memory played out in her mind, followed by the uncomfortable realization that she had taken that female's role. She hadn't wanted to be beta, but the council had made her such. She felt as though she were too lenient to be such a position, to be any position, honestly. But now it was time to think of the present, not of the unpleasant past.

"Zee, you know, in your heart, whether you agree or not, that this gray time will only be dismissed once pups are born. It's a must, an attempt at survival. And that's what we do, we survive. Give this decision time to sink in, but let that happen later, think about other, happier things now."

She paused, gazing away, her emerald orbs glancing over the entirety of the openness of the are around them. She slowly smiled, her canines showing as her lips pulled back in the grin.

"Why don't we go and roll around in the mud? Perhaps we'll be undesireable enough that the males will pass over us."

She chuckled lightly, nudging the female with her shoulder, her gaze returning to stare at her.

Lunarus sat on the hill that overlooked the lake. His sight was blurred, because of his bad eye. He no longer knew what phase the moon rose... but tonight was different. He felt the worry, the anger and the small glimer of hope that radiated from the two females. He let it fill him, mixing with his own emotions.

He chose to vote for the mating only because it was the wisest thing to do... the others were to lust ridden.. filled with the wants of a mate to see otherwise. He had seen Lorika was absent and pushed for the council to wait... but the other two over ruled him. That decision filled him with grief.

The moon climbed high and its faint light illuminated his sliver fur. He tilted his head and anote began to grow within him. It was a sad note.. but he howled it into the night, long and low. It echoed across the lake and into the distence and the stars above. Lunarus looked down at the two wolves in sadness. The moon's light rays washing over him, making him appear to glow faintly. He lay down on the small patch of grass on the hill and looked up to the stars.
Memories of the past danced in his head...

Zee's lips pulled back in a grin, and she threw back her head and howled in laughter. " Yes, maybe they'll pass over us if we are disgusting enough, " she chortled, but then a howl peirced the cool night air.

" Lunarus, " she mumbled, anger flaring up again at the male council member who had voted for the current predicament. Though she didn't blame him as much as the others, because his motives were seemingly pure. Despite this, she still felt a scowl peel back at her features.

Lunarus senced anger from Zee before he closed his eyes.. because of the anger his thoughts shifted:

He was still a pup. His father, Debello, a large medium wolf with steel gray fur, was the no job Alpha before him. His mother, Selene, an average tall wolf with snow white fur, she was the pack's healer. When he was born, the pack saw his silver fur as a good omen, a symbol to a better life...

One day he went out with the Head Scout, trying to understand what it was he did. Up ahead was a gang of sabers... The scout asked him to hide while he went back to warn the pack. Before he left, the sabers spotted the head scout. Lunarus, hoping to buy the scout time, jumped from his hidding spot, right infront of the sabers...

They were caught off guard, at first, so he managed to get away before they could attack. But they were definetly faster... He dodged and weaved, trying to throw them off with no success... One appeared infront, having circled around to corner him. Hits paw decended and slashed him across his right eye. He fell semi-concious and struggled to stand. Before the sabers moved in for the kill, the Head hunter, along with many of the pack, fell upon the gang and saved his life.

His mother... healed the slash, leaving only a scar in its place... but for all her skill, his eye couldn't be healed. His scar and eye was his greatest lesson. The scar was a medal or courage and bravery... the eye was a punishment for over confidence and foolishness....

Lunarus opened his bad eye. The world was bright, as though the sun sat at its highest point in the sky. He opened his good eye and everything fell back to blackness and his vision blurred slightly. He sat up and looked at Zee and Lorika, his bad eye seemed to glow in the moon light. He gave two sharp barks, his method to dispell anger, his or anothers, and stood up.

He watched the two a little longer before walking back to the rest of the pack. Maybe Eisley had returned with some news...

Sex: Male
Position: None. He is thought to be too careless and not fit for a position

Personality: He has a quick temper and is loyal to his friends but he doesn't like to be told what to do. He doesn't listen very well and needs a firm hand in matters or he will not obey the slightest request. He is stubborn but all for the safety of the pack, headstrong on his opinions and ideas.

His father was very stern and fell in right behind the alpha position as somewhat of a wing man. He tried to teach Rush to be respectful of his superiors and stay in his place with a firm attitude. Rush never caught on though and before he could, his father fell through the ice one winter while out on the lake. Rush was supposed to make sure it was safe and he didn't. Rush blames himself for this but the dilema seemed to only make his niave attitude worse.

Despite all this, Rush can be very considerate and caring when he needs to be, even though he hides it well, he loves the pack more than anything.

Lunarus looked up. Down the hill, near the edge of a patch of trees, Rush was walking along away from the pack. His mood was somewhat fogged, as it always was... "Hey, Rush!" Lunarus called down to get the wolf's attention. "What are you doing out here? This is no place to wander around yet..."

Lunarus stopped infront of Rush, looking down on his slightly, because of his size, He blinked only his bad eye, a habbit that developed after the scar was healed.

Rush shrugged, looking up at the other wolf. Rush was small for a wolf and he found himself, to his annoyance, looking up at most everyone. Expecially him.

He sat down, eyes looking away. "Aw... I'm sure it's alright. What's the worst that could happen?" He said, scratching behind his ear as his careless looking eyes traveled around. "Why are we all on guard again?"

Rush knew perfectly well what was up most of the time but he enjoyed asking anyways. It was what he was best at, asking questions and getting on people's nerves.
