PRP - Western/Americana ( )

Postby Caty Mae on Wed Mar 18, 2009 2:04 pm

I'm not very familiar with this site just yet so hopefully I'm posting in the right section.

First of all I am in search for a western/american setting in a private roleplay. Think, 1800's, maybe post-Civil War.

I have been roleplaying for about nine years now and all of my gaming has been done over Yahoo. Now that it has pretty much went down and the players are no longer serious or wanting an "actual RP", just cyber, I decided to search other sites that have RP and this one is the best so far.

I write novelistically and usually average anywhere from three to five paragraphs per posting turn, but then again it all depends on what is going on in the current scene. I use a great amount of detail in my writing and not by just telling what my character is doing/saying/wearing. I put her feelings in there, thoughts, maybe a little backstory... things like that. I love to to read something that really makes me invision what the storyteller is saying so I try to do the same for my partners.

If there is anyone interested I'm sure we can put together a great storyline; my favorite genre's are action/drama/romance (though not the mushy lovey perfection type)/war, and so on. If this setting is not your cup o' tea, Im very open minded and have characters from Ancient Greece all the way up to post-apocalyptic (futuristic).

Dig it, definitely would be up for something like that. I think I'm probably at a similar level in terms of writing to you (but do check out my past stuff if you're not sure).

Would there be anything in particular in that period you'd like to RP about? Do you have an idea for a character/plot? Or shall we come up with something from scratch?
The Murmuration

Oh yeah I have tons of ideas as far as a plot/storyline goes and I have two different charaters created for those ideas and such. I'm hoping to keep on the .. "outlaw" side of things. Not neccessarily fan fiction for the James Gang, but, something along those lines. Would you happen to have a type of messenger that I can contact you at?

I'm also intrigued by your PRP ideas. I don't believe I've ever done a roleplay in a western setting, but I'd love to give it a try.

And as far as typing/writing/details go, I would love to be in a rp with someone who has literary talent. More often than not I find myself wishing to quit a roleplay because I have these 4-7 (on average) paragraph posts and I get replies of maybe one.

We could do a three-way PRP? Or you could be in two seperate rp's...

Either way, I'll wait for your reply here or you can message me on MSN messenger: luke4215@hotmail.com
Everything changes...

Nah, I'd prefer to RP on here, if that's alright. Feel free to send me a PM though, if you want to tell me a few of your ideas.
