Public Apology ( )

Postby Jader on Thu May 24, 2007 10:59 pm

Recently, I participated in a rather unpleasant engagement with one of the RP Gateway users, and it has caused some concern and confusion within the community. As a moderator of RPGateway, I realize that this kind of behavior is not professional, and it does not help our community to grow and improve in the least bit.

On behalf of myself, the RPGateway Moderators and Administrators, and to Saladin, the victim of my abuse, I sincerely apologize for my lack of professionalism, and hope that this can be put behind us so that we can focus on a brighter future for everyone.

My personal vendettas should not play a part in my position as a Moderator. I will remember to keep that in mind from now on.

I humbly accept your apology, Jader, and fully appreciate it.

However, at the same time, I feel that I must also make an apology. In result to this unpleasant engagement, coupled with several IRL issues, I made the decision to leave the forums. This was a rash, unprofessional and irresponsible thing to do, and resulted in the confusion and concern mentioned by Jader, specifically within the RPA.

As a result of my actions, I have forfeited the right of Moderator status and the position of Principal within the RPA, and do not expect to regain those positions.

I do, however, hope that you can all accept my sincere apology. I love the site, and find that it as been the main factor in creating some great friendships, and in my regret, I hope that perhaps I can become a member of the community again, and continue to do that which I love, RolePlay.

RolePlayGateway is a site built by a couple roleplayers who wanted to give a little something back to the roleplay community. The site has no intention of earning any profit, and is paid for out of their own pockets.

If you appreciate what they do, feel free to donate your spare change to help feed them on the weekends. After selecting the amount you want to donate from the menu, you can continue by clicking on PayPal logo.
