New Terra Space

A small probe skirted the edges of territorial space around New Terra; Emblazoned on it's side was nothing, not a single emblem to signify who it's allegiance might be too. This was all for good reason, if this probe was found, the coordinates would lead to empty space, and the whole shebang would be off, failed, and the Red Technocracy under close scrutiny about it's motives here. So, in light of that important fact, It's internal computers only had instructions and coordinates, and the entire probe was built in a way that used only the most base of technology, with none of the upgrades that were common to the shipbuilding practices of the galactic superpowers. This was the good stealth shit, yo?

It's three small Ion engines propelled it at a decent speed past the limits of visual contact, and it was out of range of the defensive grids of New Terra. Or so they hoped. In any case, the small stature, very low heat emissions and whole stealth nature of the probe would come in handy, disguising itself alternately as an asteroid or a floating piece of junk to be ignored. In the case that someone did wise up to it's existence, a complex system of external nanobots in it's black refractive stealth paint would activate, disguising the probe as empty space, with no emissions, no visuals, no nothing that could give it away to non-gravimetric sensors; And even then, it was almost too small to have it's won signatures. For the scale of it, the captain was told to imagine a highly advanced, stealthy, refrigerator with an incredibly powerful sensor suite.

What was it doing?

This single probe was on an advanced reconnaissance mission for the Red Technocracy Navy; Fifty-Fifth Battle Group, Second Formation, Battleship Miny-Nikov, to be even more exact of it's origin. The mission itself was simple, gather sensor data about the formation of New Terra Defenses and Composition, and investigate the mysterious fission trace readings that scared the area. It's sensor suite was upgraded for this purpose, composing a few extra radiation detection instruments, and a variety of Sub-Dimensional tracers.

The fission traces were perhaps the most interesting of the things to be found, traces of a massive event, something that only a Gamma Burster could compare to, that appeared to have been erased but for the faintest of traces. There was massive evidence of a reality tampering power in play here, and if the Red Technocracy could harness that massive force, they would be masters of the galaxy.

Of course, they didn't know the whole backstory; but that never stopped anyone, did it?

A Mobile Suit, custom made for ultra-long range transports flew at the edge of Terra, the pilot wondering why the Turn A had flown out to the Edge of Terra. The odd machine, with a mustache like fin over its moth, its helmet resembling a classic centurion from long ago, had a shield and a beam saber, as well as several packages ion its back. Inside, the machine seemed to rumble, the massive Wings of Light like a pair of butterfly wings in the dense darkness of space. "Ahh.. what the hell is in space that is that ugly looking thing..." he commented, the Gundam turning towards what appeared to be a null body.

"Eh, probably a dark matter, Turn, I think we should search for more comets.." With that, the pilot moved away from the probe, searching for more long range comets to mark on the local Intergalactic star maps.
