Please do not post in this topic. This is used to give basic information about the tracks you will be racing on. More tracks will be posted as the race progresses. Below is the basic test track, practice on it to get used to writing out how you reach the checkpoints and how you make the turns. One post for each checkpoint might be a good idea so that you and your co-pilot can plot out what to do to your opponent and how to take the lead.

The Crater Test track.


Checkpoint 1:
The Starting/finish line. A wide, open, straightaway that goes on for about 4 miles long and ends in a large 33 degree turn. The Starting line is placed midway between the four miles, so when you first start out it is more like a short 2.2 miles before making the first turn.

Checkpoint 2:
Comes out of the 33 degree turn and into another small straightaway that is about 1 mile long. This one mile patch of straight road ends with a banking 33 degree turn that goes upwards like a ramp into the grass and rocky hills. If you don't bank with the turn currently you will slam straight into hills.

Checkpoint 3:
Is the same as checkpoint 1, but without the starting line.

Checkpoint 4:
Is the last turn of the track. This checkpoint is similar to checkpoint 2, but the bank starts and ends throughout the entire turn, meaning you will be on the 33 degree banking turn coming into this checkpoint and leaving. You will then leave the turn to come out at the finish line.

Avoid the X marks placed around the track. They represent rocky mountains, hills, or obstacles that you cannot pass. Hitting one of the X marks will result in a crash. At the center of the test track is a pond of water. It is safe to swim through or fly over, just make sure your vehicle doesn't sink...
