How about the siblings' rings reacting when they touch? Like glowing and/or forming the Seal Of Atlantis above them.

Sure, why not. But they have to meet. When we start off (which I'll post in a bit), the two parties are in different locations.

Yeah, I got that. I'm thinking sometime later in the roleplay, where the groups actually conflict.

Hello everyone!

I was sent an invite to join this RP, and I must say that I've taken a bit of interest to it. However, I do have a few questions before I jump in. I'm posting here because they are ideas for the story that involve the character that I may play. I read the story you have outlined already, but I want to know how far along your steampunk world is?
Do you have guns and robots here? what about airplanes or air balloons/air ships?
The reason I am asking is because my character I wish to make is a steampunk inventor that wants to gain fame and fortune for their crazy ideas (that never work right).
Your world appears to be loosely based on some real world things, but I'm not sure how much fiction you put into it. Depending on how far along the technology is, will depend on what my character will try to make. For example if you don't have guns, my character will invent muskets or the blunderbuss. I always love Gunblades. They would be single shot guns with a long rapier style sword attached to it. Like this:

I'm also thinking mechs (or Machina), not like the really advanced kind, but slow moving ones that are used for lifting heavy items and building airships. Mechs would look a bit like this:


After I get some basic info I'll work on the bio to match your world a bit better. The character's story concept I have an mind is that everything they make fails and breaks (and is very expensive), until one day they make something that will change the world (long term story arc).

(PS. Depending on how things go, I may also make another evil villain that is working to take over Atlantis using the technology by building an army of steampunk machines. That however would also be a long term plot line for the far future.)
