It starts off when 18 year old Bethany Dives goes to the car garage with her brother Luke and father Kenneth to help out while they work. Across the street from Ken & Son Garage is a scrap yard owned by Shaun Eleazar, a 28 year old engineering genius. Shaun built a machine that would re-build parts on a molecular level by disassembling the subject entirely and then reassembling it with a living material that replaces the missing or broken component.

One night, when Shaun was only 18 he witnessed a brutal shooting just outside of the yard, where a man was repeatedly shot with a shotgun at close range, the attacker running off before Shaun or anyone could stop him. Thinking of nothing else to do in such short a time, Shaun picked him up and carried him to the machine to attempt to save his life. The man had taken his last breath as he was set into the machine but Shaun had already turned it on. The machine worked, filling in the holes from the shotgun pellets and sealing each with the living tissue from the machine. It was a gruesome site to watch as the man was completely disassembled and pulled back together with the material. When the man came to obviously there were side effects, the subject if sentient, can now separate their molecules, and reassemble them where needed. This resulting in special abilities depending on the material used by the machine such as time travel, heightened speed, turning into a shadow, Etc. Another side effect is that whomever is placed into the machine dies, and when they come back, they no longer remember what happened to them or who they are. Their souls get pulled away from crossing over and drug back into their bodies, now holding onto an unknown need to finish something.

Throughout the last 10 years Shaun has saved many lives spanning through time. Finding people who died before their time and giving them a second chance. Bethany as a little girl was one whom the first "Reborn" had brought from another time to save after nearly being stabbed to death by her own father. Shaun leaves her at the steps of Ken & Son and she finds out at age 18 by wandering into Shaun's lot and finding the machine inside a huge garage. Her adopted dad Kenneth and brother Luke finding answers about her time traveling ability, and her search to find answers behind the terrifying dreams coming to an end.

RP: The RP will start after an intro from Bethany setting the pace. I would like everyone to interact in some way for a few posts each to get a feel for your character and then I’ll start the plot. There will be deaths involving some of your characters and there will be some twists. If your character dies you are more than welcome to post a second character sheet with a new Reborn. Note that because we do have time travelers and because they can travel with items and other people your character can be from any time, future or past. We do not have a limit to the amount of Reborn so please, go crazy! Also… Have fun!

1.) No Godmodding. Don’t move someone or speak for him or her unless they ask you to due to absence. You can’t just beat the crap out of anyone. Fights will be written out.
2.) Please post regularly. One post a day is preferred. If you have to be gone for an extended amount of time please let me know if you are aware of before hand. If you are gone for two weeks without response your Character will be killed off. You may create a new one by submitting a new sheet.

She was confused and scared within the hour as Shaun explained that her name was Annara Christophe and she had been attacked only hours earlier, her neck broken within the chaos. She panicked after realizing that she had died. As a side effect of her grief bolts of lightning shot from around her almost putting a hole in the ceiling of the metal garage.

Rebirth: It was all so vague and the confusion was haunting. When he and Shaun had that fatefully discussion where he was ultimately told he died, Donovan remained expressionless until he was able to really comprehend what had just happened. Still, he handled it strangely, there was no crying, there was no throwing up or freaking out or fainting, just silence, mysterious silence as Donovan swam in deep though for hours, the only way he knew how to deal with such an event. What was one supposed to do? How could he use this second chance if he has no memory at all of who he was. Shaun's reaction to Donovan perplexed Donovan. What seemed to be mere hours of thinking, turned out to be 18 days. Donovan realized the small amount of control he has over time, and finally fainted.

Rebirth: After waking from some weird humming, Ryder's memory came back. When Shaun saw him and saw the his memory was perfectly fine, he told Ryder to stay there because there others he had to see. So has the minutes wore on and Ryder sat there thinking, he wondered if anyone he knew was affected by whatever caused the humming. When he sighed, he saw that the table went up. So after a few more minutes of playing around, and one bruised hand later, he realized he now has telekinesis.

Appearance: 6'1" with broad shoulders and long, wavy, brown hair that ends about his jawbone. His face has the sort of signature Scandinavian bone structure. He has piercing, bold, blue eyes, and fair skin that envelopes his fairly muscular body. (He is not ripped, with huge muscles. He's closer to average.

Rebirth: Opening my eyes slowly from a dreamless sleep, I awoke to a man who introduces himself as Shaun. He explained what had happened to me and why I don't remember anything about myself. Apparently I had been near by when I was killed, and he was able to revive me with this hard, uncomfortable machine I now lie on. Since my soul had been lost, I have no idea who I am. The thought that he was able to fix my body after being decapitated in a car accident by a negligent driver, who, apparently, collided with what was my own vehicle, is what freaks me out the most, I think. I am not, however, fond of the fact that he has messed around with the ways of the universe, and erased my identity. Though I am grateful, at least, that he chose to save my body instead of the one who killed me.
Now, it seems, I must start life once more. "What year is it," I ask him while pulling out my wallet to look at my drivers' license. After doing the math with my birth date, and his reply to my question, I can conclude that I must begin life once more, with a twenty six year head start. I noted my apparent name before putting the card in my wallet and my wallet back in my pocket. Sighing, and closing my eyes, I think about going outside to look at 'ground zero' that ended my first life. Upon opening them, I am startled when I realize I am already outside, looking at the wreckage. Awesome. More to freak me out. Well, at least I have an explanation for why I just felt that strange feeling throughout my body.

"Where am I?"

She awoke within whistling circlets, shaping spheres in the air around her as lightning arced between them and her, flaring across the air randomly and fiercely. The bolts of energy were brilliantly azure, yet fleeting, and after a brief moment the rings slowed and the electric pulses ceased entirely, their mechanical humming slowly fading into silence. The small metallic platform she herself rested on lowered to the ground, and a man was approaching her, looking worried. There was blood on his clothes.

"What's going on...?"

Her body still numbed peculiarly, and, hovering some feet above her, a small lump of metal lay suspended in the air, raised by some manner of the machine which encircled her. As the odd machine shut down, the unidentified lump quivered briefly in the air and fell, bouncing once or twice before finally coming to rest upon the metal flooring. Curious, she reached to retrieve it, only to be stopped by the man who had approached her prior - He moved hastily, removing her jacket, lifting a portion of her shirt - And as he did, she noticed what he seemed to be looking for, a small, abnormally pale section of skin, small, and directly over her heart. As her body regained it's feeling, however, it faded away, reverting to her normal skin tone, as if it had never existed.

The man sighed, relieved, taking a few steps back from the confused girl as she examined the room: It was incredibly large, and the turbines from what appeared to be some manner of generator were still only just beginning to slow to a stop. A trail of blood led from the door to where she sat now, thoroughly confused and dazed. Meanwhile, whilst she gathered what little thoughts she could, he began to explain: An explanation which fell on unknowing ears. From what she could gather, he had only recently entered his home, when he heard a gunshot. He immediately ran outside, only to find her, alone, in the snow and bleeding from her chest. A gun lay nearby, and he did not try to find the culprit: Instead, he brought her inside, and had apparently succeeded in reviving her.

"The bullet... Hm. Well, it's not in your body any more, the wound's totally healed" he had said, lifting a finger to her chest. "Should be around here somewhere..."

But before he could search on his own, he noted her manner: Still dazed. That was to be expected, especially from one so unknowing of her own past. The fact that she had literally just died was probably just by-the-by for her. So, although with some hesitation, he left her to regain her composure, leaving the room and leaving her sitting upon the bloody table.

After about a clean minute of simply staring at the wall, a thought came to the child: The bullet. She remembered now, that lackluster lump. She dropped to the floor immediately upon remembering it, finding it in only a moment's passing, holding it up to the light to examine it.

It was only slightly crumpled, crushed by it's own force upon collision with one of her bones. There was still warm blood upon it, trickling down over her fingers.

"This is the bullet... That entered my body." she told herself, trying her best to concentrate - Her confusion didn't help, and speaking aloud helped to confirm what she was thinking. "That man... He said I was revived quickly... And the blood is still warm..." she thought to herself, pushing off the metal base upon which she was lain and pacing across the metal room, well lit by the glow of innumerable hanging lights. The sound of her boots upon the hollow metal was drowned by the whir of machines unknown, their gears mashing against each other loudly in distant corners of the room, viciously loud, grinding. A sonata of machines.

"This is the bullet, from when..."

It is dark. She is cold, and the world is deathly silent, suspended in a single fleeting moment. She is facing a house with it's lights recently lit, and the whir of machinery distinctly echoing from within. It is snowing, white flecks of snow, translucent motes, are dancing in the gale of midnight. And there is a hole in her chest.

It dug through the bone protecting her organs.
It clawed past her heart.
And it is now settled, crumpled, bloody, against her spine, soon to kill her.

The body falls to the ground, and the bullet is still laying crumpled within her. Blood seeps through her clothes, much too quickly. It pours into the snow around her even as the front door slams open, a frightened man standing on the other side, only barely comprehending what he is seeing. It is still flowing, even as he lifts her and brings her inside to his garage. It drips on the ground. There is a gun near the pool of blood, where she fell and began to die. The killer is nowhere to be found as Shaun brings the dying girl inside, uselessly trying to suppress the bleeding with her clothing.

Finally, he places her upon a metallic bed, and steps away to operate the machine. The rings revolve, slowly. Then faster, faster. The azure lightning trails from the rings to her body, jolting her, taking her body to pieces, removing the bullet, still in tact, and suspending it in the air above her. The rings are spinning blindingly fast. Her body has been ripped to shreds, and has begun to lop itself back together. Foreign material seeps in to replace the hole, to repair the heart, becoming one with her body, yet leaving a pale mark where the wound has been.

Powers:

Psychometry: A form of space-time divination which reveals information about an object in contact with the user, with particular restrictions. For one, she must know at least one solid and true fact about the target, either the estimated time of the event or what action took place. Second, the object must be in the same physical condition it was in when the event occurred, or she will not receive any information.

Furthermore, she cannot witness an event through this method lasting longer than 10 minutes, even if the conditions are met. She also does not take any longer than a second to retrieve all the information, even if the event itself takes several minutes.

The boy kicks the bottle, and it manages to crack into two pieces (Physics be damned) after arcing into the air and landing on the concrete.


Mallory comes to the exact location in the morning.
She knows that the street is named "Conrad Avenue."
She knows that they were walking.
She knows that the bottle was kicked.
She knows that the time was around 11:30, of the previous night.


Mallory sees one part of the broken bottle, and touches it, using Psychometry. She does not receive any information, because the bottle was not broken into two at the moment of the event.

She reattaches the pieces. Now the second condition is satisfied.

She uses Psychometry on the repaired bottle, keeping in mind that the street's name is Conrad Avenue. This yields no information, because the street's name is not the action nor the time. The first condition is not satisfied.

Then she uses Psychometry keeping in mind that they were walking. This yields no information because the bottle was not the object walking.The first condition is not satisfied. If she was using Psychometry on the boy or girl, she would now be successful.

Finally, she uses Psychometry on the repaired bottle, keeping in mind that it was kicked. This would yield a successful result, because she knows what the bottle did, and it is in the condition it was in during the event. She would also be successful if she used the time as the information, instead of the fact that it was kicked.

At this point, her ability actually kicks in: She witnesses the exact moment that the bottle is kicked, but does not gain any information after it breaks. This is because the space-time from that point forward no longer matches her fixed bottle. She would, however, be able to identify nearly any physical property of the event, including the appearance of not only the boy, but his companion as well.

The steel circles begin to slow their rotations *Flash* *Flash* moving across Meredith's field of vision as she lowered slowly to the ground. She looked at her hand as she came to rest on the floor. Manicured fingernails. Smooth skin. No memories. Why are there no memories? Who am I? she thought to herself as a man stepped in front of her and kneeled so his face was level with hers and he laid a hand upon her shoulder.

"My name is Shaun and... I think you deserve an explanation."

The girl stood up and followed Shaun away from the machine where he explained how he had come to find her. How she had apparently died when an earthquake hit her city, causing the underpass which she was walking beneath to tear asunder, its weight falling right on top of her body and crushing her. She had been close enough to the edge that he could pull her out, could bring her here, could.... Bring her back to life. Her name was Meredith. He didn't know much else. She lifted her hand, about to ask the man for a tissue as tears began to flow quietly down her cheeks. In a blink, the box was in her hand, causing her to gasp in fright and drop the box. Shaun simply rubbed a hand across his face and said, "That's a new one."

Powers: Summoning- When she thinks of an item and wishes for it to appear, it happens, but has limitations. She seemingly cannot just summon anything that her mind desires. She only seems to be able to summon things that she has seen personally and knows the general location of. If the item has been moved far away from where she believes it to be, it doesn't seem to appear for her.

IE- She can't just think "pen" and have one appear.... But if she knows she left a pen in her jacket in the breakroom she can summon that. Item size does not have an affect on her abilities, it seems, but she is leery of summoning anything massive since it could crush anyone nearby.
