It didnt take long as the three kids can in Mathew taking his omelet, Nikki her toast, and Madison her cereal. "Nikki.. are you sure you dont want something more than toast?" He asked turning on the sink to wash the dishes he used to make breakfast. "No" A rather tall blond girl said "Got to watch my weight.." She said almost shyly taking her two pieces of plain toast. "Your in 8th grade, why does it matter?" He asked still scrubbing away at the pan. "Dont have any boys after you do they? Im pretty good with this frying pan.." He chided lightly as he placed it in the drainer to dry. "Whatever" The 13 year old girl said rolling her eyes.
He took this momentary freedom to glance at the kitchen table which had the three kids at it. Nicole was eating her toast, which looked rather nasty to him. The short boulder that was his little brother Mathew, 7th grader now eating the omelet he had made. The same boy used his fork to open the omelet "Wheres the bacon?" He asked curiously picking around. Charles let out a smile as he filed a glass with milk to drink for himself "We are out. Ill run to the store after school and see If I can pick some more up. Instead I used sausage, not as good but I think it coops rather well." He said taking as sip. The boy snorted taking another bite. It wasnt the same Charles knew that, but hey, what could he do? The youngest of the bunch, Madison, was eating her cereal, well, his cereal since fruity pebbles was his favorite for a long time, but today she decided it was her favorite too. 1st grade.. so strange how they grow so fast.
"Remember Nikki, Madison has to be at the bus stop at 7:12, not a second later." he reminded her for what must have been the 30th time this week, but he was always worried. His school started earlier, so he wasnt able to stay and keep tabs on them like he would have wanted. He reached into his pocket fishing out his cellphone to check the time. "Alright guys I gotta go.." he said doing a mental check, phone check, backpack by the door so check, hat.. he reached on top of his head and sure enough felt his Dodge hat check, and his wallet.. reaching into his back jean pocket sure he was going to find it.. nothing?
"Hey guys have you seen my wallet?" He asked them still checking his pockets "Yea" came Nikkis voice, "its on the table." He walked over and sure enough there it was, he scooped it up but stopped extending his hand to Nikki flexing with his hand in the common give it sign. Rolling her eyes, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a 5 dollar bill she had taken. Charles shook his head before instead taking 2 dollars out and switching out the five. "Next time ask" He said flicking her in the ear to which she gave a yelp and a glare. "Mathew, no more fights" he warned pointing at him before kissing Madison on top of the head "Have a good day at school."
"Bye!" he waved before closing the door to the house. It was a nice morning, and his old beat up 74' dodge pickup was still sitting on its side of the drive way, his mom having left long ago for work. He opened the drivers door and slide in turning the ignition letting the truck bark a little before coming fully alive once more. "Ok, time to pick up Kate." He said as a verbal reminder before turning on the radio to a random station, a talk show! Aw what a lovely morning this was turning out to be.

The alarm clock that stood on the nightstand next to the bed suddenly began blaring out its screeching call, jarring Irene van de Velde from what had previously been a serene, dreamless sleep. The young woman awoke with a start, as if taken by surprise, and then grumbled a bit as she practically slapped the alarm clock off the nightstand to turn it off—she’d been using it all year, and yet she still hadn’t gotten used to being awoken by a screaming alarm rather than being gently shaken awake by her younger sister, who had always managed, somehow, to wake up at 6:30 AM every morning, consistently. Living alone has its drawbacks, I guess… Irene thought to herself as she climbed out of bed and stumbled towards her closet to find clothes for the day.
With the fierce independence the currently half-asleep Irene had shown all her life, it had been no surprise when, as soon as Irene, only a month ago, hit eighteen years old, the age at which one was no longer required to live with a parent or guardian, she immediately found a cheap apartment nearby and moved into it. Since then she’d had the time of her life. There was no mistake—she loved her family. But having a living space all to herself, living all on her own with no one else around to bug her…it far outweighed the drawbacks.
Yawning still, Irene turned to make her way to the bathroom, stumbling in and staring at herself in the mirror. Looking back at her was a tall girl about five foot ten, with dark, slightly tanned skin, and black hair currently raised up in a ponytail; the white tank top she wore showcased the Celtic knot tattoos running up her forearms and the crimson tribal dragon tattooed on her left bicep. For a moment Irene simply stared at herself in the mirror, as if meeting herself for the first time, before she began the long and seemingly laborious process of brushing her teeth and washing her face. There was no lipstick, no mascara, no eyeliner, no makeup of any kind to be found anywhere in the bathroom—or anywhere in the house. Not that that was a bad thing; after all, Irene simply had no desire for makeup.
By the time she exited the bathroom, Irene was significantly more awake; dousing her face in cold water had done its job well. She swiftly slid a leather jacket over the tank-top before going out to the kitchen to eat breakfast—which was two pieces of buttered toast. After all, she wasn’t Iron Chef…or any chef, for that matter. She devoured the two slices of buttered bread quickly before slinging her backpack over her shoulder, walking out the door and locking it behind her, and then making her way down the steps of the apartment building and out to the apartment parking lot. She scanned the area quickly, locating her car rather easily—a black ’67 Camaro with flames running up the hood tended to stand out. Smiling slightly as she approached the car (even two years after buying it, she loved it no less than ever), Irene entered the Camaro and started the engine, which rumbled and roared loud enough to be heard down the street with ease; she quickly turned on the CD player she had installed in the old muscle car and slid a CD into it. As the car pulled out into the driveway and began to speed down the street, the sound of Motörhead’s “Overkill” blasted out from the open windows of the Camaro, informing everyone within a ten mile radius that Irene van de Velde was currently on her way to school.

Charlie he had been Kates best friend as far back as she could remember. They were always in the same class in elementary, he was one of the few kids that still associated with her in the third grade after she broke that boys nose at recess. He was a great guy and a good friend, it hurt her sometimes she wanted to date him so badly. But her father had formed an incorrect opinion of Charlie a long time ago. Her father allowed them to be friends and she didn't want to loose him completely by changing their relationship to romantic one. She had hoped that her father would have changed his opinion of Charlie over the years. But every time her friend comes around her father becomes tense and grumbles. She really doesn't know what causes this reaction to Charlie. The guy was great totally behind the times, with an old chivalrous personality that guys his age didn't typically have. She pulled on a pair of skinny black jeans, a whit t-shirt and black vest with various smart ass comment buttons on it. A pair of rainbow colored socks and Chuck Taylors finishing off her typical school dress. Walking down the stair and into the kitchen she rummaged through the cabinets, till she found a chewy granola bar. Grabbing her back pack off the floor next to the door. She made her way outside and sat down on the front step to wait for her ride.

He pulled up on the street with Kate's house and parked. He reached for the door handle when he noticed she was already on the steps. Well, that makes it easy, personally, he didn't like meeting her dad unless necessary. Even since elementary school the man has hated him for some reason, it didn't make him stop trying to get him to at least not pull the three g's: grit, grumble, and glare. His old truck didn't have much in the ways of air conditioning, so he always left the windows down when driving for the air, and he waved at her out the window. She looked the same as always, as if time did nothing to her. Still that same choice in style, but her shirts did give him something fun to read during Physics. Mr. Jordan had to be the most monotonic teacher in the entire school.
Well, it might not be fair to comment on her clothes, when he wasn't exactly walking fashion. He was wearing a plain gray shirt that luckily had no holes in it, jeans with a hole at his left knee, but he was proud to say that he did not buy his jeans with that hole like many people did these days, his old sneakers, and, of course, his hat. Leaning over, he made sure the passenger door was unlocked and pushed it open for her.

Mr. Millo watches from the window as his eldest daughter sit and waits for her ride. Every time he looks at one of his daughters he remembers a time when they were little and they didn't even look at boys. The only boy they thought they ever needed was him. It seemed life was much simpler back then. His memory was cut short by his other daughter running down the stairs. He glances over at her and glimpses his late wife. It's amazing how much Bianca looks like her,
"Dad, Can you give me a ride to school?" Bianca asks while shuffling through the refrigerator for something to eat. She takes out the milk and a toaster strudel. While her breakfast is in the toaster and her milk has been poured into a glass, Bianca walks over to her dad. Mr. Millo runs outside and stops Kate and Charles from leaving. After giving Charles a cold glare, he turns to Kate saying, "Bianca needs a ride to school. Can she ride with you?"

With Bianca in the car.. texting, well that was a good way to encourage communication and friendship wasn't it? It reminded him of last year when two girls sitting right next to each other texted each other instead of speaking.. creepy. Senior year, man, he got old. With everyone in the truck, he switched gears and drove off down the street singing in off-tune with the song playing. He didnt think Kate would want to talk as much with Bianca here, and whoever was texting Bianca seemed to be far more interesting than either of them, so when in doubt sing it out.

"Maybe I can learn something in class today. If I decide to pay attention that is..." Gunning his 350z, Joe speeds to school getting there just in time for his first class.

The Camaro slowed down and stopped as it approached a red light, and there Irene heard through the open window the sound of a car barking and rumbling. Well, she knew of only one person whose car matched her own in terms of the sheer noise the damn thing made as it drove; indeed, when she glanced to the side, she saw a familiar old truck stopping at the red light next to her car, accompanied by someone singing along with music as well. In the car she saw the very familiar face of Kate Millo—Irene smiled and called out through the open window, waving at her before she then took note of who was seated next to Kate, and her smile lessened, if only a little. Of course Kate would be riding with Charles to school, Irene thought bitterly. She could have asked me instead… The second after that thought appeared, Irene mentally reprimanded herself. I shouldn’t be so immature about it, she reminded herself, and turned back to the red light above, hoping it would turn green quickly so that she could get to school and then see Kate there.

On the arrival, as soon as he turned off the engine Bianca hoped out of the car with a thanks. "No problem!" he yelled after her in hopes she would hear it. She ditched them rather fast, but than again she always was more of the 'I want people to love me' kind of person. He didn't know it was that bad to be seen with him. The majority of people in the school liked him, with a few who didn't, but he was rather proud of that fact as they were assholes, and he didn't like talking to people he considered like that. Kate was Kate, he didnt understand how people could not like her, but he was glad that she never let that get to her and try to change like many girls.
He started to climb out of the truck only to remember he still had his hat on. With the briefest of mutters on his own stupidity, he tugged the hat off and left it on the dashboard, his hair no doubt flat from the hat. He locked and rolled up the windows before climbing out only to get a surprise hug from Mickey. It was a surprise, but not a bad one. He didnt mind hugs, he preferred them to handshakes as they were just awkward. "Hey Mickey." Charles said with a laugh as he hugged him back.

"Mickey! How are you!? I haven't seen you all summer. I tried calling a few times but all I got was nothing." Bianca says glad to have found someone she knows. She hugs him back smiling. She then notices that he's looking at both Kate and Charles in two different ways. She can't put a finger on it but she knows something is up.
Bianca starts looking for words, "Uh... I have to go find someone. Uh... They left something at our house and I should go return it." She starts to walk off when she turns around and smiles the famous Bianca smile and waves to Mickey, Charles, and her sister (she has no clue why to her sister). She then disappears into the crowd and starts getting bumped around. She gets a few looks from guys but those guys were just the assholes who wanted to say they got into the pants of a freshman the quickest. She then sees a guy over by a 350z. He looks bored out of his mind yet still pretty hot. At that moment her view of him was blocked by a group of goths and she starts getting pushed around some more. When the bell finally rang, she was pushed around some more by everyone who didn't want to be late the first day. Someone trips her and as she falls all her stuff comes out of her backpack. "Crap. What the hell." Leaning over she starts to pick up her stuff off the floor.

Soon the Camaro was pulling into the student parking lot, coming to a slow halt at one of the designated spaces. As Irene removed the keys from the ignition, the car’s tumultuous racket died away, as did the deafening rock music booming out from it; pausing for a moment to get her things in order, returning her iPod and cell phone to her jacket pockets and slinging a backpack strap over one shoulder, Irene pushed the door of the car open and strode out into the parking lot, marching out towards the main buildings of the school.
When she entered the hallways of the main building, Irene saw, not far away, Kate and Charles, accompanied by Michael, one of Bianca’s friends. As she approached the group, she heard something along the lines of ”As long as you don’t start singing ‘Baby’…” “Good god, no,” Irene said with a smile as she approached. “If people start singing Bieber in the hallways I just might start walking around belting out the lyrics to my favourite Iron Maiden songs…”

Crap. What did she ask? He wasnt paying attention, of course he found that all girls get made if they find out that you werent listening. He glanced to the left and to the right before smiling "Right." He confirmed. He needed to quickly change the subject least Kate catch on to the fact that he had no idea what he said right to. One of his friends Mario walked by "Hey Mario!" Charles yelled waving, and Mario waved back still walking towards the school not really stopping to chat with them. Damn, so much for changing the conversations, but eh what was he to do?

“Ah, it seems like real music is starting to get replaced by all this pop and hiphop shit…” Irene murmured, mimicking an old man remembering the old days. “Some people have never even heard of Black Sabbath, it’s sad…” She glanced back as Charles called out to a friend, looking a bit nervous about something, but disregarded it, instead glancing down at her schedule to find her homeroom teacher. Heh…last time I’m gonna get a schedule for new classes, she thought to herself, thoroughly glad this was the last year of school. Sure, it was a great place to see friends and such, but it had always been something of a hassle as well, with all the classes that Irene had no interest in.
Though to be fair, Irene also wasn’t sure exactly what she was supposed to be interested in. She had been told to take classes that would prepare her for what she was going to do in college, but she wasn’t sure about that either. Ah well, I’ll deal with that when it’s necessary… she mused as she took out her cell phone to check the time. The signal to go to homeroom would sound in a couple of minutes…and the last year of school would officially begin.
OOC Notes
Bianca looks up from the ground and sees almost everyone inside already. She tries to quickly clean up her purse and jams everything in. She gets up and starts to smoothen out her outfit. She hurries off to homeroom and makes it in an open seat right as the bell rings. Looking around, she sees a lot of people she were friends with already and some new classmates. In the back of the room sat Mickey. Seeing him look at her she waves swiftly then turns back around in her seat and starts taking out her things for class.

"I. Hate. School. Time passes way too slow." he thought, before turning the page in his notebook and beginning yet another sketch.
