Introduction
(I know there is a lot here, and If you don't want to read all of it, feel free to skim around. But I suggest (If you join) to read all of this eventually, because it will help you understand the setting of the role play more.)
2048
Mankind is at it's peak. We have no more need for fossil fuels, as we are running off of cleaner methods. There is one central Government, in control of almost all of the planet. We have climbed to the top of our technological mountain, and we are still climbing. We have machines that make our lives easier, from automated cars to machines that help you pick out your clothes.
But we are not satisfied. We continue to reach, towards the only technology that we have yet to create: Artificial Intelligence. This ability to create virtual life has for so long eluded our grasp, but we are close to seizing it.
August 30th, 2038:
The first A.I. (artificial intelligence) is created. It is named G.A.I.A. (Globally Arrayed Independent Automation). The machine's intellect starts out slowly, with as much knowledge as a 6 year old child. But after being plugged into the Internet, it's mental capacity began to grow rapidly, quickly gaining a level of intellect that had never been seen before on earth.
May 12th, 2039:
The Government begins to create A.I.s at a rapid rate, quickly putting them in charge of almost all computers, plugging them all into one massive hub, with G.A.I.A. at the center. The government begins to try and synthesize a organic body to house an A.I.
June 28th, 2040:
The first organic A.I. is created. It appears to be a man: flesh, blood, organs, muscle, sinew, a brain. But there is a mechanical layer underneath it all, housing an A.I. Mankind has successfully produced the first artificial human.
December 1st, 2040:
The government begins to create more of the Synths (Synthetic Humans), creating them to place in The Program, a sort of a "Secret Police", tasked with neutralizing all threats against the Government. The program is an instant success, and rumors begin to spread about these death machines.
April 19th, 2048: The Program is still in affect, taking on a more sinister role. The Synths are being used against civilians, murdering and kidnapping them in broad daylight. The Machines have control of most aspects of life, ranging from private business to the military. The Government is closing it's grip on society, restricting human freedoms. The machines are slowly taking over. A resistance has begun.
Info
This is a future society, the super-city Aegis, set in the year of 2042. The Government is in control of almost everything, which means the A.I.s have control over everything. Most humans are peaceful, happy to squeeze out a living in this world. Almost all humans share a dislike of A.I.s and the Synths, but aren't really willing to do anything about it. There is a rebellion, and it is beginning to show itself as a real threat to the Government. The Synths and Agents are trying to dismantle the Resistance, and civilians are just trying to stay out of the crossfire. The plot of this story revolves around the Rebellion, and how their actions affect the lives of those inside the city.
There are three main factions: The Government (A.I.s, Synths, etc.), The Resistance, and the civilians. The Government controls almost everything, with an iron fist. The resistance is fairly new, and has just started to become a nuisance to the Government. And civilians are just that, civilians. There is no real middle ground. You are something, or your something else. There aren't any Agents that are Rebel fighters on the side. Once you choose a side, you are that side. There is no in between.
Factions
The Government:

A system of rule that spans Earth, or what's left of it. They are responsible for creating the A.I.s and the Synthetic Humans. They have recently become oppressive, using their Synths to rule their empire with an iron fist. They are led by the Chairman, an official that, once elected, leads for life. The second in command is G.A.I.A., the world's first A.I. They have begun to imprison people at an alarming rate, mostly for plotting with the resistance. Most of the people they capture are innocent, and are simply being used to keep other civilians in line.
Synthetic Humans (Synths):

They are genetically grown bodies, made for the purpose of housing an A.I. that can control the body. They look, smell, and act like humans, making them almost impossible to pick out of a crowd. they are the Government's most valuable assets, and act as the "Secret Police", killing those who get in the Government's way. They are fast, strong, and deadly. They are called Death Machines for a reason. Most people who fight a Synth toe-to-toe end up dead. If you're lucky, you can outrun them.
Agents:

The work horses of the Government. They are the Government's lackeys and serve as the police inside of Greater Metropolis. The Agents are tasked with dismantling the Resistance, and keeping the mega-city's streets clean of crime. More like a military than a task force, they use brutal tactics and big guns to keep the City's populace in line.
The Resistance:
A movement that started in The Slum, the third level of the City. At first it was peaceful, trying to petition the Government for better working and living conditions. Eventually they realized the Government wouldn't listen to them, so they selected a leader and became hostile. They set up their head quarters somewhere on the ground level, inside one of the many caves there. They began to launch raids on Government offices and facilities , finally attracting the Government's attention.

OOC Notes
The profile was of one William Travis, A.K.A. Bill Traveler, A.K.A. Boomer. The man was thin with a shaved head, with a tattoo of a clenched fist on the right side of his neck. Underneath the picture were some basic statistics about Bill Traveler: his age, weight, height, and race. The last section was a quick brief of his past crimes, which were: Arson, the Creation and Detonation of Explosive Devices, Three Homicides, and The Homicide of four Agents. And last on the profile was his Status: Captured and Awaiting Termination.
John couldn't allow this man to be killed by the Government. He was the go-to guy if you needed a bomb, and not only that, he was one of the three engineers that worked for the Resistance. Bill was essential in the construction and maintenance of the Resistance H.Q. If the Government tried to splice into Bill's mind, they would gain the knowledge of where the H.Q. was located exactly, and where it's weak points were. John shook his head and stepped back from the table. He quickly made his way to the Barracks, where the team he had picked for this mission were waiting for him. He entered the Barracks and looked around. He spotted the soldiers he had selected for the mission. He took in a deep breath and did a quick roll-call. "Carmelita Jones, Marcus Bane, Gyko Turrecha! Front and center!" Once the three soldiers had assembled in front of him, he let a small grin flash on his face. "Lady and gentlemen, please make your way to the Main Gate. We have a transport waiting."
OOC Notes
She was happily married, with a small daughter. He already knew that, his niece Morissa was who he was fighting for. He didn't want her to join the Resistance and be killed like Alissa. He smirked at the agents walking by, dusting off his boots. He thought of his girlfriend, Emily. She was missing, and he was desperately hoping she hadn't joined the Resistance, because she knew how much he despised the Resistance. He sipped on the coffee he'd gotten before actually getting to the Detainment Center. He could drive, after all.
He pondered on why he could be here. They said to look up somebody, he'd already forgotten the name. But he was pretty sure by their tone of voice that they wouldn't mind that he'd forgotten. Was he really that low of an agent? He didn't know. He didn't care that much to ask. He wondered what would happen if he dozed off. He was really tired, doing paperwork for one of the higher-up agents. That had taken a while. He'd gotten to the Agent headquarters and his roommate took the bottom bunk. And Claudius fell off the top bunk so his back really hurt. He leaned bakc in the chair, closing his eyes. None of the Agents were around, and there was no one important here. Was here? He didn't care. Soon enough, he was off in Dreamland, which would soon turn into a nightmare. Durn.

After checking everything including a nice jacket he stole at one of the police stations, checked it and magnetized it to kill any tracking devices in it. "Yeah, I'm good to go," he said kneeling down as he looked at his stuff. He stood up straight and wore his bag on his back. The weight didn't bother him, thanks to his bulkish structure, though the Captain was bulkier than him.
The alarm sounded off, meaning the captain was about to go to the barrack for a role call and deployment. "Let's lock and load," he smiled and placed his desert eagle at his left side and his favorite kitchen knife at the other. He ran down to the Main entrance and got to his post. He stood straight ready for a nice day for a debriefing and "walk".
"Front and center!" the captain said. He quickly done so. "Lady and gentlemen, please make your way to the Main Gate. We have a transport waiting," the captain said. "Sir Yes Sir!" he answered and went to the main gate with the other two.
OOC Notes
A brisk walk brought them to the elevator to take them down into the building. The noisy pad was swiftly replaced with the slight hum of the elevator as it accelerated downward through the building. The only thing that interrupted the silence was the clicking of guns. As swiftly as they had entered, they left. The sound of heavy boots filled the halls as they marched along, two men ahead and three men behind their prisoner.
The men in uniforms were all the same, except for the one directly in front of the group, who was missing his helmet. He wore the same black colored light security armor as the rest, but the pauldrons on his shoulders were a dark red color. It was these markings that made him stand out above the group, as more than a simple street enforcer. An agent who had served for years within the government, achieving a fair rank above the rest. His name was Harlan Parvel.
At least he liked to think he was above the rest. In reality, he was probably no more important than the guy underneath him or to the left sitting at the desk. He had received his share of important and unimportant missions, both in the intelligence field and in combat. The only thing that put him slightly closer to the government's hand was his combination of mechanical technology with his human self.
Turning the corner they arrived at a desk. The location was not too far from the main detention levels. Harlan's group stopped short just before the door to the long hallway leading to the detention block. His eyes fell upon the person behind the desk. Upon seeing the man, or rather the young boy, he had to wonder who the hell had stationed this person in a government building. A smirk crossed his face seeing the boy in a sleeping state.
Grabbing his rifle which hung off his shoulder by a strap, he swiftly brought it down on the desk. The end connected with the desk, making a satisfying clang of metal against metal. It was enough to wake the dead, and surely get the attention of anyone and everyone who might be wandering about.
"We have a prisoner here, please put him down, Bill Traveler," Harlan said to the boy in a curt manner. "A notification had already been sent that he would be arriving, I'm sure you are aware," He added, completely sure that the boy was not aware and had no idea. His face held the slight smirk as he spoke, and it only threatened to grow wider. For the moment, he was going to disregard the boy's appearance. They had a prisoner to put away and he wasn't going to waste time messing with some low teenager. He would worry about that later.
Harlan stayed in front of the desk only long enough to watch the boy type on the computer. Raising his hand, he signaled to the officers behind him. Grabbing the prisoner roughly by the arms, they proceeded down the long hallway to the detention block.
(Making an interaction with Claudius.)
OOC Notes
Land on the roof, Carmelita and Marcus will stay on the helicopter and protect it from any guards who get too curious. Gyko and I will proceed through an air ventilation system, which the access panel will be left open by a bribed maintenance man. Once inside, he and Gyko would make their way to the 87th floor. They would exit the air duct and make their way to Boomer's cell. They would blow the door with a controlled explosion, and sneak Bill out the way they came. Once they got back into the helicopter, it was up to the pilot to get then home safely. The pilot better be as good as he says...
The plan had a lot of room for error, but they had no choice. They absolutely could not let Bill's thoughts and memories fall into the hands of the Government. Jon just hoped this went off smoothly. He knew he could handle a firefight, but Gyko... Jon had heard some positive things about Gyko, but it was just rumors. Hopefully I won't have to find out...
OOC Notes
He thought about the detention place, he already knows some facts about the detention place because of the blue-prints the bribed maintenance gave them. He had to leave his bag, which had non-essentials when it comes to break in. All he probably needs is a dessert eagle, a knife and 7 bullets. Of course his portable flame thrower which could be of use in case he ran out of bullets.
((There Edited :3 ))
OOC Notes
(Sorry about the shortness, again I'm new to this so I'm probably going to start out short. Again. Sorry.)

"Emily is missing, right?" He asked himself, nodding in agreement before sighing in embarassment.

And as for the Synths having scanners in their eyes, well, yes. Deep inside of their eyes. And what little circuitry the Synths have inside of them do not use "wires". They run off of synapses, much like the human body does. Plus, the Synths electronics are made to withstand fire, water, freezing, overheating, and small EMP surges. While I understand where you are coming from with the idea, it just is not a correct one.
I don't want to seem like I am just bagging on you, I am just trying to help you understand some things so everyone's RP experience is smoother and there are no arguments in the future.
