Introduction

It’s the late 1990s during the summer, a string of suspicious deaths start up in Brooklyn, New York. First the homeless, then junkies, later their dealers and so on. Creeping out from run down neighborhoods to places like Chelsea in Manhattan. There is little evidence, there is little left behind for the police to find a suspect, to chase leads, to make an arrest. The killings stop for months and then start up again. Targets always changing. From soccer moms to ex-marines to would-be politicians.

The investigation was going on and on. It became the source of frustration for some detectives as the case remains open. The ones who think they have something don’t really have anything. They stomp, they yell, the ask for a new case. Some men and women search for themselves. For the bastard that took someone they love before their time, for some twisted game. Because he thought it’d be fun. Some detectives won’t let up for the same reasons. He, or she, took someone they love. It becomes an obsession for them. For the normal people who want revenge. For the ones who become fans. Who have let this person ascend to fame just for the evil they’ve done.

And they’re watching, waiting, deciding who will be the next victim. Who’s worth the challenge. Maybe this group of people who are so determined to get them. Definitely this group. It was time to make arrangements for the latest hunt.

Rules

  • No metagaming.
  • No godmoding should conflict arise between characters.
  • Be realistic as possible. You won't have an arsenal of weapons. Your character will think they will die if they got shot or stabbed in the torso.

We don't need too many badasses and such running around. Try to keep the number of characters who are cops or detectives to a minimum. Multiple characters welcome, but limited to one inside and involved directly with being hunted, or trying to hunt, the killer and the other playing a support role from outside. Support roles being a family member or friend at home watching the news and reporting what they see and hear through text messages and/or cellphone calls, a fellow cop on a radio keeping the group updated, etc.

[OOC] A Dangerous Game

Finally got something up for the killer roleplay. This is for OOC discussion. Ask questions, communicate with other players involved, make some suggestions. Some things will be kept secret for now and will be revealed during the RP, so if there is something that you think I forgot there is a good chance I didn't. You're just in for a surprise. I have decided not to post a template for character profiles because I suck at it, but if anyone who is planning to sign up and join has one feel free to share.
