Personality:
Appare is a very sweet girl, who would do anything to help the friends she doesn't have. But she inherited some qualities from her neko blood and demon upbringing. Appare cannot resist catnip, an is very flexible and agile. But when somebody picks on her, she will explode. And when somebody else is being picked on, she will explode then too. This neko cannot access her powers for a simple reason; nobody had ever taught her how. Appare does not create magic the same way demons do, therefore she needs another neko or an angel to teach her. Despite her kindliness, Appare has a fierce streak, and is an unrelenting feminist.

Background/Past:
Appare is an angel, but was kicked out of the community because of her neko father. And then the neko's wouldn't take her because they 'don't associate with birds'. Well obviously they do! The female head of a very rich and powerful clan of demons, the Yokoshimas, was unable to have children so it was like a gift from, err, below when Appare crawled onto her doorstep begging for food or work. Appare's adopted mother was very eccentric and prideful, and has somehow convinced herself that Appare is her actual daughter. The demons of the Yokoshima quickly fell in love with the little girl who was no higher than their knee, and soon they didn't care what race she was. Whenever Appare went out to play, however, she was always physically and mentally beaten up.
