You are here because you are a fenómeno, or a freak in the english language. I am Horatia, and I am responsible for you being the freak you are. No, I did not cause it, but I could have prevented it. Confused yet? This hasnt even begun. Let me tell you a story, maybe it can help clear that little head of yours.

Once upon a time there was two earths. One was called Terra, the other Julle. They were identical, both teeming with human life. Then the accident happened. A malfunction in machinery followed by some bad desisions resulted in the explosion of Julle. Atomanipulactive plasma was sent flying in every direction. Now, Julle was twenty-seven thousand light years from earth, only recently has the plasma reached us. And guess who was exposed to it? If you guessed you, your correct. I worked in a hospital, as a nurse. I was in the hospital nursery, tending to the night shift, when a huge explosion shook the hospital. The plasma killed almost every living thing in the hospital, but for a still unkown reason the babies, and I survived. The babies were given to their parents, none the wiser that their child was now infected with Atomanipulactive plasma. You were one of those children. Atomanipulactive plasma manipulates your genes, changing you from the inside out. It usually proves fatal, as it did for everyone else in the hospital, but we survived it. Its been fourteen years since that accident, and now as you may or may not show the changes in you are beginning to emerge. You all are different yet united, and I must moniter you for my own reasons. My friends here will barcode you, and then release you back to your miserable lives. Tell as any people of this as you like, no one will believe you.

The roleplay begins with you getting sent back to your normal, american, 2014 life. You were kidnapped last night, talked to by Horatia, then you were knocked out again. If you look at your body you see you have a small square barcode on your arm or back. Only mutants can see the barcodes, do your parents would never believe your proposterous story of being kidnapped. But you know its real, and something is happening to you you never expected...

You start the roleplay fully human. Over the course of the roleplay you will slowly, realistically, mutate. By the end of the roleplay your character can have up to three superpowers, and the same amount of side effects. You cannot have a power already taken, or have the power to use others powers. This is a fairly realistic mutant rp, meaning certain superpowers would be innapropriate. Examples:

Good Powers: Extremely good hearing, Ability to manipulate senses, Speaking to animals or plants, Breathing underwater, Withstanding incredible heat or cold, Telepathy.

Bad Powers: X-Ray vision, Flying, Laser vision, Invisibility (Camoflouge is okay), Intangibility, Metamorphisis, Mind control.

As well, each power has side effects. Examples:

Power: Speaking to animals Side effect: Lower Intelligence

Power: Breathing underwater Side effect: Runs out of breath easily when breathing air.

Power: Telepahy Side effect: Gets migranes if uses powers too much.

Okay, so by now your already realizing this isnt a comic book superhero rp. This is a relatively realistic rp centering on humans who are morphing, as a result gaining both skills and weaknesses. If you want a rp about a bunch of kids with magic powers having overdramatic romances, this is not for you. If you do not want a immature, illiterate rp, and would rather have a semi-serious rp with superpower elements believably integrated into the plot, then this might be the rp for you.

1-Create a character using the skeleton below, using the character tab.

2-PM me with a list of the powers your character will develop, the side effects, and what order they will develop for approval

3-PM me a writing sample, at least a paragraph of your own composition. (Fiction only please) I want to see your abilities, as this is a literate rp for dedicated roleplayers.

4-Be patient! As well as run multiple roleplays I also have a life to live, so if I take a couple days to reply dont freak out.

5-Read EVERYTHING. Time is a precious thing, and I spent plenty of mine on this roleplay, so make sure you read through everything.

6-Wait. As soon as I can I will look over your character, writing samples, and PM regarding powers, and I will reply with either a letter of acceptance or declination.
