Introduction
At the party that evening the six friends met up and, munching on chips, they opened the box.
Inside the white container was a paper doll house. Having nothing better to do, the friends assembled it and made the little paper dolls inside it to look like themselves, as the instructions ordered. Next, they drew their worst fear on a square of paper, which they placed face down on the floor of various rooms in the paper house. After that, they placed the paper dolls named the "Shadow Man", the "Creeper", and the "Lurker" in the house.
Danielle was stunned- the so called "Shadow Man" looked exactly like the boy who had sold her the game! The Creeper looked very familiar, too. Hadn't the boy had a tattoo of a giant snake like that on his wrist? The Lurker, too, appeared familiar, and Danielle recalled seeing the bristling wolf on the boy's other wrist. Despite the sudden chill of foreboding that ran down her spine, Danielle bit her tongue and let her friends continue to follow the instructions.
Last, they followed the last step of the instructions- reading the oath. They dimmed the lights as they read the Oath of the Game.
"There is a Shadow World, like our own but different, existing alongside ours but never touching. Some people call it the world of dreams, but it is as real as anything else. Entering the Shadow Realm can be hazardous to your life. You must swear that you understand that."[/i]
The six friends swore their understanding and only Danielle seemed to notice the upside-down U with points that looked like horns painted on the inside of the box lid flash as if it were printed in red foil.
Following the next step of the instructions, they turned the first card in the deck that had been supplied.
"You have gathered with your friends in this room to begin the game."
The next card was turned.
"Each of you has a secret you would rather die than reveal."
One more card.
"You hear the sound of footsteps from one of the rooms above."
Someone frowned and commented that they were in a single story house. Someone else replied saying to remember that they were 'in' the doll house.
Someone went to put the card that had just been read back down when the sound of footsteps sounded above them. It was a quick light patter, like a child running on the floor. Someone claimed it was squirrels and flipped another card.
"You go to the door to get some air, but it seems to be stuck."
Seeing the rest of the groups frightened expressions, the person who read the last card sighed and went to open the door. "See?" they pulled on the handle of the sliding door, having made sure it was unlocked, but it didn't budge an inch.
Someone else took a card.
"None of the doors or windows in this house will open."
Another card.
"You hear a clock strike nine."
Danielle raised an eyebrow at that. "None of my clocks strike."
Suddenly the chimes rang out, clear and sweet. Danielle recognized the sound from the game store she had bought the game at- the chimes from the clock she couldn't see. The sound appeared to be coming from far above. It began to strike the hour.
One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine.
Then the wind came. It felt like they were trapped in a hurricane. The wind hurt- a real, physical pain that shook and blinded them, making them lose track of the room. It felt like hours passed, but it was only seconds before they fell unconscious.
They woke up on the floor in the doll house.

OOC Notes
"You guys? Are you okay?" she asked, hoping they would all hear her and wake up.
Danielle was trying not to freak out as she looked around the room some more. It seemed familiar, but she couldn't exactly figure out where she had seen it before. Wether she had seen this place before or not, she still didn't understand how she got there.
OOC Notes
"Dude Danielle, you got us one stupid game."
She looked around and stopped rubbing her head but didn't take her hand off of it. The whole room was different,
"Uh, where are we?"
Were they trying to prank her or something, because this wasn't very funny unless she was dillusional right now, then she just felt stupid.
Getting up slowly she looked at the room.
OOC Notes
Wrapping her arms around herself protectively, she got up and walked towards Danielle. Somehow she always made her feel better whenever she started to panic. She tried to quiet her need to throw herself at the glass door and try to escape. She just knew it would be a waste. There was no escape possibly.
"I don't like it here." The petite red head whispered, afraid someone would over hear them. She swayed, switching her weight between feet.
OOC Notes
"I don't know where we are. Don't be scared, though. We'll figure it out soon." Danielle tried to reassure her friends, while mentally telling her the same thing.
OOC Notes
OOC Notes
"This. Is. Awesome." she said. She touched the room and, sure enough, it had a papery texture.
She sat on the couch, now fully relaxed. They shrunk! How cool is that?
"Where did you say you got this game again?" she asked. When this was over, she was going to take a visit the store. But, what were they supposed to do in this game anyways? They had just read the cards then they ended up in here. No instructions were read.
OOC Notes
"You want know where you are? You're in the game. You did agree to play, after all. You said you understood that everything here was real." he cast a lazy glance over the group. "I assume you remember the layout of the house, no? If you want back to your world, you'll have to get to the top, and I suggest you get there before dawn. Dawn, in case you're wondering, occurs at exactly 6:15. If you don't get there by then, well, I suppose we'll all be getting mighty acquainted. Also, before you ask- you may be wondering where a certain member of your par-tay," he pronounced the word like it was two, "is. Well, he's at the top. Just another little incentive for your trip up there. However, if you just want to try and make a deal with me now, there is one thing I will be willing to accept in exchange for the freedom of the rest of you." his luminescent green eyes settled on Danielle and he ran his fingers through his pure white hair.
"Now," he grinned, "let the Game begin. and remember, freedom is just an exchange away."
At that, he disappeared and then appeared at the top floor, where he looked down with a malevolent smile at the gagged and bound Cabel.
"You know, this wouldn't all be necessary if you stopped struggling and didn't talk so much." Cabel, Danielle's boyfriend, responded with muffled cries of anger and random thrashing as the human boy struggled to get free.
OOC Notes
"We have to get to the top. I remember that this place has three floors and a turret at the top. We have to get to the turret. We have to save Cabel." she said, hoping that she sounded stronger than she felt.
Danielle looked at everyone in the room to see if they were on the same page as her. The whole room didn't feel like the paper version that would be on her living room floor, it was all real.
OOC Notes
"Sure, I mean, what could happen on three flights? He gave us plenty of time too. This should be a breeze."
Or an adventure, she thought to herself. An awesome, epic adventure that would let her do something fun that isn't bad. But the only thing that made her hesitate was thefact that they had all written their worst fears on the cards, and she hadn't lied about hers. Why would he make it seem so easy without a catch? She tried to ignore the thought but even when she managed to think of something else it was still tugging at the edge of her mind. Rope. Small spaces. Fears. Three stories. Great.
OOC Notes
"Cabel should be at the top already, so all we have to do is go up 3 flights of stairs into the turret at the top, then we get to leave. It can't be that hard, right?" she asked.
Danielle knew better than to think that anything could ever be that easy, but it was the only thing that made her feel a bit more sure of herself. Everything she had ever known has changed. A game became their real life and if they didn't get to the top, they were stuck there forever. Either that, or she could trade her freedom to get all her friends and Cabel released. She wasn't going to give in yet. The game had just begun and they haven't even faced their first challenge. She headed up the first set of stairs. The hall was like that from The Haunted Mansion.
"Why would this hall look like the one from The Haunted Mansion?" she thought to herself.
Danielle felt a bit of relief that this wasn't turning out as bad as she thought. Before she knew it, she would be back home and everything would be back to normal. A world where board games didn't come to life. She noticed a door halfway down the hall on the left.
"Maybe there are things we can use to help us if we go through the rooms." she said aloud to nobody in particular.
She turned the knob and opened the door. It didn't seem too bad. She took a step in.
OOC Notes
"Dude, seriously? He copied off the haunted mansion." Looking up at the ceiling she yelled,
"Hey! Creepy white haired guy! Try and be a little creative why don't ya!" she went to a door with a diamond doorknob that seemed a little loose, and opened the door.
"Great," she said.
The room itself was all dusty, but that wasn't the worst of it. There were boxes all around, crowding the room making it seem way smaller than it was. There was rope hanging off the banisters and dirty white clothes covering the majority of the boxes. She brushed one and dust came off on her finger, which she wiped off on her pants. Lifting the cloth she saw some of the boxes were big enough to fit a person in. She thought about the white haired man in one of them,, but smiled to herself. He could pop in, he didn't need to hide. She could be going to the bathroom and Pop!, there he would be. But that would be awkward and she doubted that even that creepy guy would do that. She went up to the doorframe but idn't leave the room and said,
"Hey Danielle! Is your room as old as mine?" She kicked at the floor and a shower of dust came up to prove her point.
OOC Notes
"Um, my room? That room wasn't really made for me. I mean, it was, but it wasn't my biggest fear that I drew on the slip of paper." she said and looked around the room, trying to push the memory from her mind.
This room was full of boxes, clothes, and dust. She opened one of the boxes and frowned, disappointed that there was nothing inside it. It only kept her down for a second before she was smiling again.
"This box is big enough for me to lay in. I wonder what they are for." she said to Kira and laid down in the box to prove her point.
The box seemed to be the perfect length to fit her in it. Too perfect. She started to get suspicious when a lid slammed shut on top of it. Danielle screamed.
"Kira!" she yelled and punched the lid once, realizing that it wasn't going to give.
OOC Notes
"Danielle!" she screamed.
She wanted to kick the box, but was afraid it might break and she would hurt Danielle.
"Uh, Danielle. I'm going to go get the others to help. Ok?" she said.
Not waiting for an answer, since all she heard was banging and screaming she ran towards the door but it slammed shut just as she go tot it. The door had been inches from her face! Se grabbed at the doorknob but when she pulled to open it it came out and fell to the floor, shattering. She heard the same on the other side of the door.
Crap.
"Hey, uh, scary creepy white haired dude? Can we go now?" she said to thin air. She was suddenly expecting him to just appear any moment and talk to her.
"Hey, Danielle? Not to frighten you anymore than you already are, but the door is broken." she said sort of in a joke like way so she wouldn't scream any louder.
OOC Notes
She peeked into Kira's room but didn't follow her in. If she could manage it she'd wait in the hallway. She noticed a flickering light and walked over to it. She was examining it when she hear Dani's screams. She turned and ran to the room but the door slammed right in her face. "Dani!!! Kira!!!" She shouted, pounding on the door. No matter which was she turned or how hard she tugged she couldn't get the door open.
OOC Notes
"Hello?" she called out.
The room appeared to be empty. She wondered where Kira would be.
OOC Notes
"Danielle?"
No answer.
She ran over to the box and opened it, empty.
"Crap, Danielle!" she yelled. Looking around she saw no sign of Danielle.
But she did hear a rustling from the top of the room and looked up. There was nothing. She officially hated the man who called himself Lanto.
"Hey! Lanto, give Danielle back!" she yelled. "You can't have her, she's ours!"
Then she saw something out of the corner of her vision, it looked almost like a snake.

Ianto? Hmm... Let's see.
Well, I'm fine with y'all coming up with ways to terrify your own characters, since you know better than I do what will scare them outta their wits. However, I'd like to pick who has the next nightmare. So, after Biz is done freaking her character out, it with be Kira's turn, Gezzy. So, something will happe, like they'll go out the door or something and be in the room with Kira's nightmare.

1. I'm back!
2. I'm gonna change this so it's only six people since we have six characters. :)
3. Biz, do you wanna make the first post, since you have my book right now? They'll be just waking up in the paper house (all together though, not separated).
