Chihro woke up with a start, and streched, her dark blue hair swaying round to her back. She glanced around her small room, bare accept for the desk, her bed, a waredobe and the mattress on the floor, that belonged to her sleeping little sister Mae. She sighed, shook Mae awake, and got dressed for school. Chihiro wanted to get out of the house before her horrible aunt woke up, knowing she would scold Chrihiro or Mae for one thing or another. Then Mae was tugging gently on Chihiro's sleeve, silent as ever, pointingto the door with a worried look on her pretty little face. "she must think our aunt is getting up, poor thing." She tought, kneeling down too her sisters leval,and silently telling her-" Dont worry Mae, we're going to Erika's house now." She signed, "and then We'll drop you off at school, Aunty can't shout there, okay?" Mae sighed back a simple " Okay and together hand in hand, they left the house, walking hand in hand to Erika's. They walked in silence, of course. Chihiro wondered wat it wounld be like too have a loud cheerful, even annoying little sister, but of course her's never spoke, never listned,only signed. Chihiro sighed, "Poor Mae."

Erika was already up and dressed by the time Chihro and Mae arrived, as early as they were, he was desperate to get away from the burning glare of Makato. As always, as her father carried her dowstairs, helped her dress, and place her frail body delicately into her gleaming Wheelchair, Makato had just glared. Erika wondered if her only brother would ever return the love she gave to him, like her father did. Erika was getting good at "Wheelchair control" as she called it, and was now even able to munuver down steps, so she had long ago warned her father off trying to push her, even thogh her little arms ached with evrey meter she pushed herself. Erika hated being in a wheelchair. he really hated it. From time too time, when there looked like there was no hope for Erika, the dark depressing thoughts wirled around in her fair head- "Maybee gods punishing me... I'm just paying for what I did too my mother." But all these thoughts were pushed voilently out of her mind, and she plasted a fake smile on her face, when Chirhiro arrived, little deaf sister in tow, a fake smile plastered on her face too.

So there they were, walking (and wheeling) don that road in the early morning sunlight. " The unfortunate children" the villigers had nicknamed them... The disabled girl, the deaf child, and the depressed little teenager that looked after them both. But the villages didn't know Erika and Chirhiro's secret, that was not worthey of the sympathy they gave them, the villigers didn't know, The didn't know about the powers those children possesed.The powers that are going to get these "unfortunate" children in lethal danger.

The sunlight leaked through the small gap in the curtains and hit Ayameko right in the eye blinding her first sight of day that morning. Shading her face with her hand she rose from her bed and opened the curtains, suddenly the room filled with light and the drousy tired look on Ayamekos face was no more. She was a late, she threw back her long brown hair and tied them into high bunches with her red bobbles. Then continuing getting dressed she saw a faint pale figure stood in the corner of her room. It shocked Ayameko for the glare in the figures eyes struck her like lightning, Ayameko was faint hearted and flinched with such a force she bruised her back on the wall badly. Ayameko blinked and the figure disappeared as she turned off her power, but she soon left the room as she knew that the confused little soul was still stood in the corner of her room, longing to know how to get to heaven or at least how she died.

After Dropping Mae off at her school, Chihiro and Erika made their way over too Ayameko's house. It wasn't far from school, so Erika and Chihiro always called at Ayameko's house on the way too school. On the way, they started talking.
"Hey, don't we have a new teacher today?" Chihiro asked
"Yeah, Miss. Takahasi I wonder what she'll be like?" Erika replied
"I don't know... but you will, won't you?"
Chirhiro and Erika grinned too themselves, Of course Erika would know. Erika knows everthing about anybody just by looking at them. It was pretty much impossible too hide anything from her.
"I really like what I can do, you know. I'm like a human lie detector! It would be awesome to have your power too, though"
"haha yeah,I AM pretty awesome."
"Poor Aya, though."
They both knew about Ayamekos... unfortunate power.
"Yeah, poor Aya."
They arrived at Ayameko's house then, and as always, she was still up in her room getting dressed. So when her dad finally brought her down, they had too run too school. Ayameko seemed down though, Erkia thought as she jogged beside her.
"Are you okay, Aya? You look like you've just seen a goast!" Then she paused, hitting her head with the plam of her hand.
"Sorry, Wrong choice of phrase..."

"Yeah, haha. No i'm fine, it's just i did see a ghost and i hit my back on the wall! It hurts so much, it's definitely gunna leave a mark" ayameko replied to erika, she spoke in a slightly depressed and quiet tone. Though ayameko was depressed she didn't wanna bring her friends down, ayameko likes and is good at doing the exact opposite ^-^. "So we better hurry up, we don't wanna be late for are new teacher" Ayameko said changing her tone completley, now it was her normal positive and joyful voice!

Chihiro, Erika and Ayameko arrived at school on time, which was suprising seeing as they got up hours ago, and they took there seats in class and started talking inbetween themselves.
"Chihiro, are you okay?" Erika asked kindly "And i'm only asking out of politeness. I know your not."
"I'll be fine Erika, don't worry, I'm just worried about Mae. I think her friends are bullying her at school." She replied
"Awh, thats a shame, oh, wait the teachers coming someone over there can see her, shut up."
Then the teacher walked in her long brown hair was tied up in a ponytail, and she looked around 20, young for a teacher. Then she turned to face the class, with the unmistakeable look of evil in her green eye, and looked strait at Erika.

And then Erika knew. She paniced, backing away in her chair, covering her face and doing anything too avoid looking at the teacher. But the damage was already done. Erika could intanly know anything about this woman just by looking at her.This woman was after every child with those 'special' abilitys that her, chirhiro, Aya and a fe of her other friends had. She looked around at the faces of her friends at the table, who didn't even know what was coming for them. She couldn't even run away now. The danger was here, and she was teaching her Algebra.

Suddenly, three children burst in the classroom and looked tired. Raiden, Mika and Kiyoshi, who followed behind silently. "Why are you so late?" the teacher asked, politely through her gritted teeth. "I... We" He glanced at Mika who was smiling away, "missed the bus. So we had to run all the way." and he and Mika sat in thier seats. "And you?" Kiyoshi looked sharp and angry today. "I couldn't be bothered, so I was walking out, but I was caught and sent back here by some other teacher." and before she could get a reply, she sat in her seat and got out her algebra book. Raiden gave Mika a thumbs-up sign, and strangely, She put up her hand and asked could she be excused to the toilet. While the arguement between the teacher and Mika took place, many wierd signs between them took place. Then Kiyoshi shot a sharp look at the teacher, an she wrote something that didn't look like algebra on the board.

As the teacher continued writing 'Algebra' on the board she was thinking to herself....
"Hmmmm, it was quite strange the way as soon as i looked into that girl's eye's she shot back in horror. Liked she'd seen something awful? Could it be me? Does she know why i'm really here? Could she be, one of them?" She glanced over at Erika who was sat in her wheelchair looking quite pale. "Well then, if she is, she shouldn't be to hard to catch" As she turned back to the board she smirked to herself and thought about how easy it would be to capture her. "Just wait Little Girl, Just wait."

"Urmm, Miss? Why did you write 'Kiyoshi may be excused' on the board... thats not algebra..." Mika asked suddenly, with a suspicious look on her face. Kiyoshi gathered her things, and left the room with a smurk on her face, secretly grinning because of her gift. The teacher looked at the chalk board, and dropped the chalk. "I... I never wrote that..." suddenly realising Kiyoshi's gift.

Erika figeted all lesson, never getting a chance too warn Chihiro all though the torturous hour, The evil teacher breathig down her neck all lesson. Erika avoided her eyes after that. Just two times she looked. It only took two times. This woman was after any child in this school with these 'speacial abilities', which meant her friends, and the moment she saw the look on Erikas face she knew that Erika was one of these children. One tought kept resurfaceing in the tangled mess of Erikas head : " And I can't even run away".

The lesson finally ended, and Erika hurridly rushed outof the room; she couldn't be alone with that woman. When she got out to the yard, she gathered up every child that she knew had powers, even the ones who didn't know Erika knew. They were all there; Chihiro, Kiyoshi, Mika, Raiden and Ayameko. She quickly started :
"look, sorry too dump this on you all of a sudden but we're all in danger, serious danger, espeicially Kiyoshi and I. That new teacher isn't who she claims she is. She's a mastermind who, for some reason, is trying too hunt down every child with... speacial abilitys. Children like us. She already knows about me, and Kiyoshi you idiot, she pretty much kows about you now too, doesn't she?" Erika took a breath. "We are all in danger".

There were gasps traveling around the small circle, at least everyone believed her, thought Chihiro.
"Erika, I believe you completly, so I think we should split up. All of us staying together is dangerous, and remember, keep the powers off." Chihiro blushed, as she didn't normally talk that much.
"She wont get too my best friends. See you later, and good luck."
And with that, they went off in their twos and threes, all worried for there lives.

Kiyoshi still wasn't scared. She walked down the corridor and around the corner where the teacher stood quietly with her evil gazed set upon her. Suddenly, Mika flew around the corner, grabbed Kiyoshi's hand and pulled her away, luckily before Kiyoshi could do any more harm. "What the heck do you think you're doing? Do you forget we're avoiding her as much as possible? Do you want to end up like your mothe-" But Kiyoshi had gotten very angry with tears streaming down her face. "Don't you dare talk about my mother!" she yelled, as Mika flew across the corridor and crashed against the wall extremely hard. Raiden had seen this from behind the teacher, and ran to stop Kiyoshi. "Let go of her! She didn't mean what she said!! Just stop it Kiyoshi, I wasn't the only one watching!" Kiyoshi dropped Mika hard on the ground, and it was silent. Mika let out a large groan and supported herself on Raiden. "S-s-sorry, but you need to be less obvious." she sqweaked. As the corridor stayed silent, footsteps could be heard coming round the corner, and the teacher said "Silly, silly girl."

After leading Ayameko to her detention (lateness, again) Chihrio and Erika thoght they had better go see how the others were coping, especially seeing as Kiyoshi was in their group. And they were right, they rounded the corridoor courner just in time too se the last of the scene in foldind between Mika, Kiyoshi, and the teacher, who was watching with her eyes intent. Erika hit her head with her hand, a habit she was getting into lately, and decided to lock Kiyoshi in a cage next time. She looked up at Chihiro, who was pushing her, "what are we gonna do now?"
Chihiro smiled, "we need a crowd, Erika, and what's the quickest possible way to gather a crowd in this school?"
And then Erika smiled,and then, at the top of their voices, they both began chanting-
"FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!", before grabbing Kiyoshi, and dashing round the corner, before most of the school chared into the corridoor, basically crushing the spy, looking for the fight.

Gasping for air after their narrow escape, Chihiro grabbed Kiyoshi's shoulders and looked her strait in the eye.
"You idiot! Don't you understand how much trouble you've just got yourself in?! At least everyone else manged to keep themselves secret!"
But Erika had a tear in her eye."No, Chihiro, i saw her eyes again. She only knows about me and Kiyoshi, but, She also knows that there are three other people, who are friends with us, who are bound to either have powers, or know exactly who has them." She looked at Mika, Raiden, and Chihro in turn. "Try not to get detention."

Kiyoshi was looking at Chihoro with a look of disgust. Why was she putting up with HER? The answer was simple of course. If the teacher WAS a kidnapper, then Kiyoshi could pull her worst and most evil trick. Trick them into trusting them and then simply betraying them. Many times in the night, Kiyoshi would dare to think up evil things to say, to do. Her mother would come back. She knew it in her soul. Kiyoshi started controlling Chihoro in a way that seemed natural, simply by taking her hands of her shoulders. "See? You're doing it again! Would you stop that?!? Don't you care that you are gonna die?" Chihoro was very stressed out now. Since Kiyoshi had calmed down from this morning, she simply said softly "I'm sorry everyone. I didn't mean to put you all in danger. But if something does happen soon, I can think of a plan to get us all out of it." She quickly put her hands behind her back and crossed her fingers, just so she didn't feel guilty later. "I promise." And she ran off before anybody replied.

Erika stared after Kiyoshi as she ran away. Then she looked at everyone, really angry now, she grabbed Raidens hand, as he was starting to run after her.
"She won't last the week. Shes the enemy now too, understand? Idiot forgot my power. I dont know what to do now though, because as soon as they get her, The kiddnappers are going to know every single one of us.... She even promiced."
"Erika, what do you meen?" Asked Chihiro, still angry from before. "What do you meen, Kiyoshi is an enemy?"
"I meen shes going to betray us, every single one of us, just because she can."
"Oh, what an idiot! what are we going to do?!"
Split up. Were going to have to get Kiyoshi safe away from that teacher, and me, and all of us for that matter. Raiden, you and me will go after Kiyoshi, she needs sorting out. Chirhiro, you go take Mika and get Aya, Good luck. Even though I think we're the ones who are going to need it."
Then Chirhiro and Mika set off up too the detention room, while Raiden wheeled Erika in Kiyoshi's path.
When they caught up with her, Kiyoshi was sat, gripping an oddly shaped bracelet, grinning. This pushed Erika over the top.
"Kiyoshi, hey look at me!" Kiyoshi looked, then Erika saw her eyes, fuming, she spoke again, " Forget about me, did you, forget about my power?!"

Kiyoshi looked up sharply and dropped the bracelet. "What?" Raiden suddenly picked up the bracelet and started looking at it. There was a small plastic tag attached to it. "Dear Kiyoshi, Grow up." Raiden read aloud, before Kiyoshi snatched it back using her eyes. "Don't touch that." She said loudly with a dark tone. "Ahem" Erika was still fuming. "I said, did you forget about my powers?" "No. I was hoping you'd be able to turn them off in the mist of being scared of the kidnappers. And, I do actually want to be your friend. It's the bracelet. It's my family. It's me." She suddenly broke down into tears. Raiden looked sympathetically towards her and glanced at Erika.

Erika still had a look of disgust on her face, even as Raiden looked at her with a look that said "Don't be mean" As Kiyoshi's tears fell down from her dark blue eyes, Raiden sat next to her on the bench and said gently "Hey, Hey, it'll be okay. It doesn't matter. We all have to look after each other anyway." However, Kiyoshi was still sat there on the other side shaking her head. "No, No its not! If I'm here, you are all in danger" and she cried harder. Erika was loking at them with no face expression, so she just let out a simple sigh and wheeled herself away.

"Raiden, it's just better if you all stay away from me. Please, Im begging you."Kiyoshi had her hands in her face and sounded weak. Suddenly the bell went, and Raiden had pulled her up by her chin and gently kissed her before she could speak again. The kiss lasted no longer that 5 seconds, but to Kiyoshi it felt like heaven. But then gravity pulled her back down once she remembered what she was saying to him before they kissed. "Raiden, why must you make my heart break?" and she ran off crying again.

In detention, Ayameko was sat at a desk scared stiff. Her mind was over flowing with heart aching thoughts! The though of she was sitting in a room with a murderer, a murderer who was to kill her and all of her friends for unknown reasons! Suddenly she head whispering from beside her, Ayameko eye's widened as she realized that her power was not turned off. A young girl, the same she had seen her room this morning, was sat at the desk beside her, whispering to herself. Ayameko was about to turn her power off but she was tempted to hear what the girl had to say. Suddenly the young girls face turned and looked Ayameko right in the eye. As the girl was dead and only a soul with no heart or blood etc her eyes were very much dead, no life in them at all, this scared her Ayameko as it was a disturbing image. "it's never too late, it's never too late, it's never too late.." The girl was still whispering to herself and only looking right at Ayameko. As Ayameko stared at the soul in confusion the teacher looked curiously at Ayameko, thoughts entered her head "Could she too be one of them" Trying and failing not to seem like she was spying on Ayameko she looked out for any other odd things which may make her one of them. Ayameko noticed that she was to everyone else staring at a blank desk. Finally she looked ahead and saw the teacher staring right at her, "Oh no!" Ayameko's face expression had just given it away, Ayameko knew this because the teacher smirked at her "aha, your trapped now, theres no turning back, i have you all right were i want you" The teacher thought. Ayameko's head dropped in depression "What have i done?!" She almost let a tear fall, luckily she was distracted by the girl who was still whispering "It's never too late" She repeated over and over, finally Ayameko whispered back "What do you mean?" The girl's eyes suddenly lit up, it was as though Ayameko was the first person to ever give notice or attention to her, both her alive and dead lives. "i mean just like i say, it's never too late." Ayameko was still confused, what was this girl hinting at? Why couldn't questions be answered more simply? "i don't understand" Ayameko replied "Ayameko, it's simple.. remember, it's never too late" Ayameko sat for a while whilst the girl was continued whispering "it's never too late" Ayameko realized that she was being to noticable and decided to turn her powers off, as she did the little girl faded and her whispers became quieter but she continued "it's never too late, it's never too late.." As she became fainter and fainter until she had finally gone.

The bell rang, so Erika and Chihiro went upstairs too get Ayameko from detention, but as soon as they got into the room the relised somthing was wrong. The room was empty, apart from Ayameko, sat at the back at the class, staring out of the window, in a deep daydream. Chihiro and Erika went up to Ayameko, worried by her troubled look.
"Aya, don't worry, we'll be okay, that woman dosn't know about me yet, and i'll look after Erika." Chihiro said, trying to cheer Ayameko up.
But Erika had noticed somthing in the corner, and Ayamekos eyes were wide. Then the door slammed, and they herd it lock. The the teacher stepped out of the shadows behind the door, and smiled.

Ayameko sat in her desk, erika in her wheelchair and chihiro stood next to them both and the teacher walking right towards them. In ayameko's head she said to herself "This is, i doubt we'll all escape alive. It's over, it's too la-" suddenly Ayameko realized what the young girl was talking about, this was the exact moment she was preparing Ayameko for, she knew that ayameko would give up, but not now, ayameko now knew that this was the right time not to give up!
"Well, little erika how nice to see you, i would tell you what im thinking of but of course you already know" She smiled and turned too Chihiro "Ah and chihori, you can basically blame your death on erika, after all she was right i had no idea you had these powers but thanks your unfortuante friend.. i do know" she smiled agaain, she felt very powerful right now, she had all 3 of them in the grasp of her hands, right at the throat. "And Ayameko, not too good at hiding your powers now are you? Still, i'll admit i dont know what kind of confused mixed up powers you all have, but thats not important right now" Ayameko, though she didn't want to give up felt very small and weak right now, she looked at her friends for inspiration but they looked just as scared and as frightened as ayameko felt.

Raiden suddenly woke up from his misery, and remebered he needed something from the classroom. So he ran back upstairs, but instead of opening the door, he stared through the window. He focused hard on Erika,who was staring at him, and read what she was telling him "Well? are you just going to stand there or are you going to do something?" and he knocked loudly on the door, and entered. Erika whispered something from behind him "Stupid, I meant something useful, like got your girlfriend or something, she may be a backstabber, but she has a useful power." but Raiden blanked her, he was too upset for Erika's useless whining.

Kiyoshi was sat on a bench, feeling stupid. She didn't know why she said that to Raiden, but if she could go back, she decided she'd have said yes. She knew he'd be with Erika, who would be with Ayameko who was in detention, so she ran up, only to find the door locked. She instanly knew they were in danger, so to prove herself to Erika and Raiden, she flicked the fire alarm on, useing her eyes. as everybody ran out the school, she filled with tears, her mothers voice filling her head: Why did you do that? You saved them? That's not evil at all, stupid girl, you'll never be like me. Kiyoshi ran faster and faster away from the school, wishing she'd set fire to it before she ran.

As raiden entered the teacher turned sharply towards him and stared in wonder if he was with the 3 girls who stood scared in the corner of the classroom. "Yes?" She spoke impatiently just wanting to capture them all. Raiden looked lost for words and looked at erika for advice. But erika was too busy looking at ayameko who was looking at the door. "Well?!" the teacher asked when all of a sudden the fire alarm went off, everyone turned to the door and saw kiyoshi standing there, her eyes were starting to fill with tears. The teacher ran and unlocked the door and ran down the corridor forgetting about catching them, then the rest followed behind the floods of more children running down the corridor heading for the doors. As they were running ayameko turned her powers on and saw the girl running beside her, she turned and smiled at ayameko "i told you" She said as she began to start slowing down the words echoed through the corridor the girl finally stopped and as ayameko looked back at her she mouthed "Thank you!" then turned back ahead and continued running from the non existing fire.
