Introduction
Songrose's adventure started when she was out exploring, and found an egg. It looked like it had been dropped, so she picked it up and took it home. The egge hatched into an Eevee, which became her first Pokemon. She played with the Eevee, which she had named Fluff, because of its fur. After a while, though, she decided she didn't want to play with the Eevee. She wanted to travel! She rushed to grab her things, and left, yelling, "Goodbye!" over her shoulder to her parents.
She soon got lost. She had never gone far from Moonlight Village, where she had been born. She had Fluff, but no Pokeball to carry it in or catch new ones with. And, as she wandered around lost, she realized that she had no idea what she was going to do. She had seen the contests on tv, and thought about becoming a part of the contests. But she had also seen her older brother, the only other one in the family with Pokemon, battling, and that looked interesting, too. Fluff, not knowing what was on her mind, follows along happily at Songrose's heels.
So she decides to look for more experienced people. Maybe they can give her more insight in what both trainers and coordinators do, and maybe find out about something else she can do. Maybe their information could help her decide! So she continues to walk, cotinues to search, getting more and more tired each day.

1) No god-modding
2) Let's have all people characters, please. It would be too hard to need Pokemon to battle, and not have them online.
3) Please make sure your Pokemon have personalities, too. You get to control them, and should therefore creat a personality as you go.
4) Pokemon can have more than four moves, as long as that Pokemon can know those moves. And I don't like TMs; not sure how they were intended to work, and that makes it hard to put in an rpg.
5) No killing off people without their permission.
6) No controlling another persons character; it just causes confusion.
7) Hmm...I can't think of any more...let's just use common sense, okay? If anyone has questions, please ask; I'll answer as best as I can.

OOC Notes
I sprayed Fluff, my Eevee, with water from the hose, trying to clean her off a bit. We had long since decided to go on an adventure and, now that seemed old enough, we were going to leave. I set Fluff on a picnic table we kept on the porch, to let her sun-dry. I went inside and grabbed everything I thought I would need; my bag, money that I had saved up, a few potions my brother had sent to me when he found out I had a Pokemon, a picture of that brother, and the belt that was designed for trainers to carry the Pokeballs around, though I didn't have any of those. I went back outside,seeing Fluff trying to shake off the excess water. She jumped down and walked to me, still trying to shake the water off. I picked her up, put her back on the table, and went inside. I came out again with a large fluffy towel that was Fluffs favorite. I dried her off, and she jumped down again. She was just as impatient as I was. I shouted, "I'm leaving!" at the house, and heard my mom yelling back, "Be careful!" and my dad shout, "Don't get lost!"
Excited, I rushed out to the east, saying a final goodbye to everyone I passed. It was a small enough village that everyone knew everyone else, and already knew I had planned to leave. As I left, a few gave me a little more money, and wished me luck. One even handed me a map of the region. I left my home, Moonlight Village, and entered Starlit Forest, the only way to leave the village.
Excited, I rushed out to the east, saying a final goodbye to everyone I passed. It was a small enough village that everyone knew everyone else, and already knew I had planned to leave. As I left, a few gave me a little more money, and wished me luck. One even handed me a map of the region. I left my home, Moonlight Village, and entered Starlit Forest, the only way to leave the village.

By the time it was dark, I was hopelessly lost. I sat on a fallen tree, and Fluff sat on the ground next to me. I started talking aloud to Fluff, trying to talk some sense into myself as I did. "Well, I intended to be a trainer...but a coordinator sounds cool, too. But my brother's a trainer, and I wanted to be just like him...but the contests are so cool...but there might be something else to do with Pokemon, too. ...I wish I knew which one I could be best at, that would make this decision so much easier!" I kicked a rock, watching it land at the base of another tree. "How do I know which one I really want to do?"

I heard someone nearby talking, and got curious. I walked out of the forest, and looked at the source of the voice, saying, "Hey there! Hello!" I called out, waving and walking over.

I wandered a couple more steps in the forest before finally admitting to myself that I was lost. I held the map under the light given off by Blaze's tail. This gave me no clue as to where I was however. Blaze stared up at me with accusing eyes. "Fine." I said, "Next time you can be the map reader." I sighed heavily and continued on through the forest, fervently hoping that I could find somewhere to sleep tonight. I was walking along, so engrossed in my thoughts, that I didn't notice a low hanging branch until I had walked into it. I gave a cry and touched the place where the branch had hit. It didn't seem to be bleeding but it certainly stung.
Blaze looked up in concern. "I'm alright." I muttered and sat down with my back against a tree.

I looked up as someone called out to me. "Hi," I replied shyly. "Are you lost, too?" I asked, curious. I hadn't seen anyone else here in the forest. Or maybe he knew his way around...

I blinked as I heard faint voices coming from somewhere nearby. I got up and made my way towards them and found they were made by two people. I wrestled with the idea of asking for directions but decided that the best course of action was to observe them for now. Blaze, on the other hand, had different ideas. He'd always been a stubborn charmander. He bounded towards the two people at full speed. "Blaze, get back here!" I shouted just before I realized that this would give my position away in an instant.

I looked at the Charmander hurrying towards us. Then I looked up to see what looked like it's trainer yelling at it. He had called it Blaze... Fluff intercepted it, trying to make friends, I assumed. She was never as shy as I was. "Hello," I said to the trainer, then added, "Are you lost, too? I don't know my way around here..." I barely saw a red mark on his head. "What did you do; run into a tree?" I wasn't trying to be mean, just curious. Sometimes being shy and being curious contradicted me all the time. I glanced back to my Pokemon. "Trying to make friends?" I asked her. She turned and nodded to me, then looked back at the Charmander.

My hand immediately jumped to the mark on my head. "What? I, um, well, yeah. And yeah I am lost." I pulled out the map I was using. "I was never great at reading maps. I was trying to find my way to the nearest Gym, but I got a little sidetracked." I looked down at Blaze. "Oh, hey, an Eevee." I crouched down and looked closely at it, "It looks in good condition as well." I got back up and held out my hand. "My name's Mark, I'm a pokemon Trainer. Do you know your way around here?"

"Well...I should, considering I live in the village nearby...but no, I don't. I can read the map, but it doesn't lead me through the forest, just through cities and towns." I took the hand he held out, looking at the mark again. "My name is Songrose, but I've been called just Song or Rose; it doesn't matter." I looked around. "It's too big a forest to get out in one day, that's all I know, really..."

I looked around briefly and said, "Well there's no way we are going to find our way out now. We might as well camp here for a while until we get a bit of light." I walked about gathering some Kindling. Then I swept away some dead leaves and laid the kindling down. Next Blaze lit it and soon we had a lively campfire. "We shouldn't have to wait long before the sun comes up. You don't have to stay," I added, "But I don't fancy wandering around this forest at night." I took my rucksack off and sat down staring into the fire.

"Well...we're not used to travelling at al, so we would probably be better off staying here, right, Fluff?" She nodded, and found a spot to curl up next to the fire. I sat next to her. "You said you were a trainer? My brother was, too, but I don't know whether or not that's what I want to do..." I really needed to decide eventually...

I looked up, "Yeah. I wanted to be a trainer all my life and I haven't regretted any moment of it. Sure there have been bad moments but it's all worth it." I rummaged in my bag for a while before pulling out my Pokedex. "If you do decide to become a trainer, you'll want to get one of these," I said, "It's probably the most useful thing a trainer can have." I stared into the fire for another minute and then said, "You will eventually decide what you want to do. It'll probably just come to you at some point. It did with me. One little event can change the course of your life." I glanced over at the Eevee curled up next to the fire, "It's clear to me that you're kind towards pokemon. In the end, it doesn't matter what you become as long as you treat pokemon with respect."

"Well, I knew that part; Pokemon have feelings, too. ...But it seems really hard to decide! I've watched my brother battling...but the contests look pretty cool, too. I guess I'm just a little confused," I said, watching Eevee. "I'm sure Eevee doesn't mind, and as long as she doesn't mind what I do, I'm okay with anything. But that's proving to be a bit of a pain." I looked up, hoping to see stars.

I smiled to myself at this and went back to gazing into the fire. "There is still quite a while until daylight. You can try and get some sleep or whatever if you want." I rested with my back against my Rucksack. "I'm going to stay awake and keep watch. Never know what could be lurking in this forest." Blaze was already fast asleep with his back to the fire. I got a small blanket out of my rucksack and covered him with it. Then I began to scan the forest for any sign of movement, occasionally feeding the fire with sticks to keep it alight.

"It's still too early to sleep; I can never sleep until the sun's gone down completely, and there is no sunlight." I pet Fluff for a while, thinking. I wasn't alone anymore...well, I never was, I had to remind myself. I always had Fluff. But now we had a more experienced trainer. "You've travelled around alot, haven't you? I've only seen my village, so I don't know what's out there..." What was it like out there?

I was going to new places, with new people, after all." I looked down at Blaze, "I stopped worrying though when I realized that I wasn't alone wherever I went. I had my pokemon with me and that gave me some comfort. Being a trainer helped as well as other trainers were usually happy to give advice." I smiled grimly, "Obviously there were trainers who just wanted one battle after another but then you always get people like that.

I'm not that great at Catching pokemon, I only had one other pokemon when I next challenged the gym. But I had been training night and day for weeks and we just managed to win." Well, at least he was enthusiastice about it. "My village is small, too; it's on the other side of the forest. And I'm not exactly scared; I have Fluff! ...But I knew it wasn't going to be easy. I just wanted to know about other cities, you know? We only have farms and ranches and one little store; not even a Pokemon Center! ...Not that I've ever seen one. I just know my brother would complain about it every time he passed through." I lifted Fluff into my lap, petting her again. "I was really only asking what other places are like."

"Oh right" I said, scratching my nose in embarrassment. I coughed and said, "Well there are quite a lot of different places. There are usually smaller towns and villages dotted all around where people can stay in Inns when they travel through. Then you get the larger cities where most pokemon trainers congregate. These are the places that have Gyms and Pokemon Centers. They are usually really busy but also quite expensive so I wouldn't hang around in large cities if I were you. You'll occasionally come across a few towns that have Pokemon Centers but they are mostly located in bigger places. I just came here looking for a place to buy antidotes because I have run out." I pulled out my wallet and looked inside, "If I can afford them," I sighed.

"...I could come back there with you. The shopkeeper knows me, he wouldn't mind giving a discount. And they're already pretty cheap there, too." And I would see my parents again. Would they think I had already given up? "You should be able to afford some."

"Oh, yeah, that would be great, Thanks" I said, smiling. It was nice to have a proper destination again for a change. It would also be nice to see a small village again, it would remain me of home. "Do you, uh, know the way back though? You do seem to be a bit lost." Not as lost as me, I thought, but I wasn't going to say that.

"Well, I am a little lost...but I think I can find my way back. At least, Fluff should be able to smell our way back. She grew up there, too, so she should be able to find it." And her sense of smell was very precise. I had tried hiding her food from her for a while because she was eating too much, but she smelled it out again! she had even managed to find the house of someone who had visited our house once before by following the scent. If anyone could find the way home, it would be her.

"Ah, that's good." I said. I'm tired of wandering around in this forest, I thought to myself. I pulled out the town map I had and studied it. There were a few places of interest I could see on it but it seemed it was going to be quite a while. I looked down at my watch and then up at the sky impatiently. I didn't like just sitting here, I preferred to be on the move. "I wish the sun would hurry up and rise." I muttered under my breath.

I looked around, still too awake to sleep. "Well...couldn't we try to get back now? By the time we get there, the sun should be up again, and the store should just be opening.," I suggested.

I got up and brushed myself down. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea." I hefted my rucksack on to my back and looked down at Blaze. Not wanting to wake him up I decided to carry him in my arms. "Lead the way," I said, stamping out the fire.

I nudged Fluff awake, saying, "You're going to have to smell the way back, okay?" She nodded sleepily, then stood up and shook the firt out of her fur. She sniffed around a bit, then headed off, back the way I thought we had come. "See? She knows her way."
