Personality:
Dylan is the type of guy who's easy to get along with. He's relaxed and is content with doing his own thing and being on his own, but at the same time, can keep up with conversation and doesn't shut people out. Often times described as being "chill", he's a person who tends to steer away from the typical, petty drama so often found in communities filled with excessively spoiled and bratty youth. It's not because he thinks he's better than his peers, because many of those people are actually his friends, but just because he doesn't want to be involved. Gossip and drama don't fascinate him and he doesn't like feeding into rumors about other people that may or may not be true. He prefers being real with people and when a social problem arises going directly to the source. In some ways, he can be hypocritical with this, though. He doesn't care if the blonde chick down the street has stepped out on her fiance and slept with ten guys last week, but if people are talking about him or his family, he does tune in more. In fact, it's not difficult to strike the wrong chord with him if he feels like people are crossing boundaries regarding his personal life and that's when you will generally see him get heated. It's not something that happens very often, and his ability to remain calm actually leads people to believe that he's high even when not, so when he does get angry, it's not pretty. He's been accused of penting up his anger with things and then snapping at the wrong time, or overreacting to whatever he is snapping over because of all of that pent up rage. Dylan doesn't believe it's true, and looks at it number wise - if he gets filled with rage twice a year to a point where his fist is breaking someone's nose, then he doesn't need anger management. It's not like he's going on rampages every other day.

That's true to another flaw of his, where struggles to see that it's possible for him to be at fault in any situation. Rather than admitting to being wrong and explicitly stating that, he likes to reason that he's human. He does a good job most days at just doing his own thing and going with the flow, so he's allowed to get angry if someone pushes his buttons hard enough. In his mind, he never overreacts, just reacts. It isn't his fault that his reactions and opinions on certain things tend to be more "passionate" than people are comfortable with.

Hobbies:
Dylan was always interested in skateboarding. One of his older cousins introduced him to the sport when he was young and by age twelve, he was being sponsored by Quiksilver in professional competitions. His list of sponsors grew as his talent did, and by the time he was in his late teens, he was being noticed outside of the skating world as well. In 2012, he was featured in a Vogue story regarding his style that tended to differ from the grungy, street rat look normally attributed to skaters. His mother likes to claim that she gave him the in by being close friends with the editor of the magazine, and though he still scoffs at the idea of her being the reason for his success, the feature in Vogue led to him being featured in a DKNY fashion campaign in 2014 as well. On top of that, he was approached by The HUF and designed his own pair of shoes, the Dylan, with them.

History:
Dylan was born as the first child to Samuel and Patricia Powers, a pair who both came from wealth separately, and together only made that fortune grow. The pair met while pursuing business degrees at Harvard University, so needless to say, aside from his parents being immeasurably wealthy, they are both intelligent and driven people as well. Being born to such a power couple, brought expectations beyond simply being born into the Powers family. Like all parents, Dylan's wanted him to excel in school and in life in general. Being their firstborn left him with a lot to live up to, but also a special place in their hearts and maybe that's why they allowed him to seek out his own path in life with less scrutiny than his brothers faced. He was chided for a lot of things as a child, like his mother claiming his hair was so long at one point that people would think he was a girl, and for not wanting to try out for his school's football team like his dad wanted, but it was never horrible. For the most part, Dylan was your average kid. He had friends, glided through school without many problems (though he was no where near the top of his class like his parents hoped for), and never got into much trouble. His parents cared for him and wanted him to be happy, and Dylan always knew that.

If he hadn't done so well with his skateboarding career, he probably would have had a less pleasant relationship with his parents, though. Both of them wanted more for him - for him to get a "real" education beyond the associate's degree in business that he was essentially forced to get, but at the moment, they can't really complain. He's supporting himself with the sponsorship and recent fashion deals he received thanks to his skateboarding career, has never been arrested and hasn't fallen into drugs (at least that they know of, but even he doesn't consider pot to be a real drug). He calls his mother often to make up for not being home much, and if they've accepted that he isn't going to be the heir to the Powers empire, he's as good of a son as they could have asked for.

So begins...
