Introduction
When a storm rolls in to ruin your vacation, you realize it's more than a storm. It's more powerful than your usual brand of showers. It wrecks your house, your body, your world. Trees are uprooted and the ground begins to shake. Before you fall victim to unconsciousness, you feel the rush of the rising waters claim your body.
When you come to, you find yourself in a different world. The trees are green and yellow in the day, and purple and blue in the night. The fauna are swirled and curved, the people are unfamiliar and strange. There are people with strange markings on their faces, hailed in stripes and patterns. Even stranger yet, for some reason everyone seems to only have one eye. The other eye seems to be covered, blinded, or injured. You are now in the Realm of the Blind Queen.
You have just woken up from the weirdest dream ever, and you have no clue where you are. Your thoughts are scrambled, and it seems that parts of your memory are missing. You can't remember much about your family, friends, or the life you had before you got here. The clearest memory you have is of a raging storm that ruined your vacation. What you do know, however is that is not the land you called home and you need to get back as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the soldiers in this new land aren't making it easy for you and the Queen's advisers have a bone to pick with you. You will soon discover that leaving this place is going to be harder than you thought.
The Blind Queen has ruled for ages over the land, and is adored by her people. She rules with a kind voice and a stern hand, though normally through her Court of Advisors. Only they and the rare few have ever seen the Queen, though her people are still devoted. They show their respect to her by blinding one of their eyes, in reference to their Queen's lack of eyesight, whether by hiding it with a cloth or cutting it out altogether. Her statues have been erected in many of their elaborate gardens and her portrait adorns almost every wall in the city. When newcomers arrive in her domain, she makes sure that they are taken care of and offers them a warm welcome. The newcomers should feel comfortable in their new home after all, because no one leaves the Realm of the Blind Queen. Ever.
The Helper is the Queen's right hand man and is typically seen flitted from place to place. He seems to have most of the information about the Queen's Realm, though he never states it outright and leaves it up to the listener to decipher his codes.
The Court of Advisors are the people who assist the Queen in her rule. They make sure her laws are carried out and enforced. Many of the higher up advisors hold the Willpower, and can control it to a certain extent. They also control the military in the area.
+ + +
The Willpower is a force that few people in the Blind Queen's Realm have. It is separated into three categories. The Will of the Eyes, the Voice, or the Hands. The amount of power you have coincides with the strength of your being as a whole. To be able to fully control this power, you must be completely attuned to your mind, body and soul.
The Eyes
The Eyes of the World trait finds its power to be concentrated in the eyes and focuses on being open minded and alert to the environment. Users of this trait cannot be fooled and can see things for what they truly are. Users can see the true intentions and character of a person. This ability allows them to negate the tricks of the Hands of Whimsy.
The Eyes of the Damned trait finds its power to be concentrated in the eyes and focuses on the analysis of character and the art of deception. Users of this trait have the ability to see into the victim's deepest fears and inflict them on the victim in an hallucination.
Weakness: Those who have the Willpower of the Eye tend to have small periods of blurriness and/or hallucinations after using it.
+++
The Voice
The Voice of the Siren trait finds its power to be concentrated in the voice and focuses on truth and bold actions. Users of this trait have the ability to cancel out the effects of other Willpowers with sharp, focused sounds and can confuse others or leave them in a daze with softer, slower sounds.
There is no information on the second Voice.
Weakness: Those with the Willpower of the Voice tend to have temporary hearing loss and can often end up in a state of absence themselves due to listening to their own voice for too long.
+++
The Hands
The Hands of Whimsy trait finds its power to be concentrated in the hands and focuses on creativity and imagination. Users of this trait have the ability to conjure and fabricate illusions out of thin air, which can only be broken with the Willpower of the Eyes of the World.
The Hands of Ruin trait finds its power to be concentrated in the hands and focuses on anger and revenge. Users of this trait have the ability to contaminate the abilities of the Willpowers. The Voices will turn shrill and high pitched, the Eyes will see strange images in their sight and may find themselves temporarily blind. The Hands creations will appear deformed and grotesque.
Weakness: Those with the Willpower of the Hands take on a tremendous amount of energy and can often find themselves being extremely tired or being stressed out. This can lead to sleeping spells, panic attacks, and/or fits of madness.
