Emmie woke with a start and she glanced around. A bright smile slid over her face, and she completely forgot about her nightmare. She was here, at the beach house. She slipped out of bed, and planted her feet on the lavender colored wood. She made her way to her closet and she quickly slipped into her black and white zebra stripped bathing suit. She ran down the stairs to her already awake family, and the other family residing with them. "Morning Mom, Dad, Esmerelda,...Cole," she sneered the last name. Cole irked her and it was obvious as she glared at him. "I'm off to surf, bye." She left the kitchen in a hurry. She didn't even glance back at the house.

She grabbed her surf board and made her way to the beach. She smiled at the sapphire blue water, the sugar white sand, and the bright glowing sun. Then, she finally reached the waters edge, she dropped her surf board. She had planned on surfing, but at the moment she just wanted to dive into the water. So, she jumped into the water as the liquid consumed her.

She swam till her lungs were ready to burst, and then she lifted her head from the water. She noticed something she hadn't seen before, a lifeguard stand. She raised a brow and swam to shore. She flipped her hair, and made her way to the gorgeous lifeguard. Emmie had been to this beach a few times, but this was never here. "When did this get here?" Emmie asked, shouting up to the lifeguard.

"Morn," oh and she thinks I'm the jerk. "C'mon Esie. Let's go surfin'!" he said to his sis.

Esmeralda narrowed her eyes at her brother."You know I hate when you call me Esie." She got her board and started walking towards the beach in her black and pink bikini. She looked over to see Emmie talking to the new hot lifeguard. "Emmie! Flirt later surf now." She joked. She jumped into the ocean with her board in hand. She was a good surfer.

Emmi turned to see Esmerlda. "Bite me Esme," she called back. Looking back to the lifeguard she smiled at him as sh awaited his reply. She didn't see one coming, it was almost like he was ignoring. She bit her lip lightly as she wondered if something was wrong. She glanced at herself. She may not be pretty, but she had a hot body. She looked up at him again, waiting for an answer.



Eric glanced down at the girl and he smiled back at her. She looked upset, so he jumped from his stand. He landed from the ladder with a thud. "Oh, it came around during the Spring of this Year. I mean it worked for me, I got a summer job." He laughed, and glanced over the girl. She was hot, and that was all that mattered.

However, he did see another girl off in the distance and another guy. He frowned, competition wasn't his thing. "Is that your friend?" She replied yes, and he smiled. "Hey, listen you all come to the beach and I'll uh help you surf and stuff." She smiled at him and giggled a little.

"I'll see if I can squeeze you in," she said. Eric was shocked, he was never squeezed in. He was a top priority to any smart girl. She was playing hard to get, but Eric liked the chase. She said something about surfing and he nodded. He watched her jog away and dive into the water with her board. He was ready for a summer romance, or at least a summer hook-up.

Esmeralda narrowed her eyes at Emmi. She saw the lifeguard and did a double take. "Hi I'm Esme." She extended her pale hand toward him. "You the new lifeguard?" She smiled. "Well I'm going to hit the waves." She waved good bye to him. She ran into the surf. She waited a bit for the perfect wave to show off on. A huge wave came and she tried to ride it. Suddenly she was underwater, she had crashed. She couldn't breathe she wanted to scream for help but she couldn't. 'Please help me!' She thought, she pleated to who ever could help her.
(SInce Cole seemed to drop out too...I can play a double role.I don't think if you play Eric that Emmi and him get romantically involved...Takes role play value down.)

Eric shook the girl's hand, his eyes scanning over. "Yeah, I'm the new lifeguard." He wanted to talk to her more, but she trotted away into the water. He climbed back up to his stand and watched both the girls surf. He kept an eye on the other male as well. Eric planned on being be with both Esme and Emmie, as he heard she had been called. He didn't want the competition; that was all he could think about.

Eric was sitting there, observing when suddenly Esme slipped from her board. "Crap," h muttered jumping from his stand. He pounded into the water and swam towards Esme's figure that was slowly slipping below the water. He dived underneath the water and secured his arms around her waist. He pulled her above the water, and then he rested against her board. He was breathing heavy and so was she. However, they were both conscious. "You okay?" He glanced around, wondering where Emmie had run off to.

Emmi had caught a few good waves and she surfed towards shore. She stuck her surfboard into the ground and then she walked away. She didn't know where she was walking, but she knew she needed to go somewhere. She had thought Eric was cute, and she had wanted to be with him this summer; summer love was a thing she dreamed of. Instead, h picked Esme.

Emmie looked down at herself, and sighed. Her and Esme were relatively the same size. Emmie was pretty sure she was pretty. She shrugged again, and kept walking. She heard someone off in the distance, but she didn't know who it was. Cole? Esme and Eric? She cringed, neither sounded pleasant. She plopped onto the sand and pulled her knees to her chin. What a summer!

Esme felt someone put their arms around her and pull her above he water. She was breathing heavily and coughing. "Thanks." She said in between coughs. "I think I would have drowned if it wasn't for you." She smiled. "I think I need to get to shore now. I feel a little tired from my dip in the water," She rubbed her head. "I think that my board hit me in the head." She began to paddle toward the shore. She saw her brother on the beach and Emmie not far from him. "Hey guys I think I need to take a break for a while." She stumbled a bit.

Cole saw Emmi on the beach. His eyes seemed almost glued to her. "Um... Are you alright Emmie you look a little down?" He sat down beside her. "Where is Esie?" He saw his sister go under the water. "Emmie I gotta go I think Esie is hurt." He jogged to his sister and glared at the lifeguard. "Who are you?" He looked at him angry. "Are you okay Esie?" He looked his sister up and down for any injuries.

Eric smiled at her, "Just doing my job, Esme." He looked her over and smiled again. He moved out of the way as she paddled back to shore, and he followed closely. Once arriving at shore he saw Cole glaring at him. "I'm Eric, the life guard. I just saved your sisters life. You'd think I'd get a thanks." He rolled his eyes and walked away. It was obvious he wasn't wanted there.

He looked at Emmie alone on the beach and he smiled. He was about to go over to her, but the girl stood and walked away. He frowned, "So much for that....I'll get her another time." He shrugged and looked back to Esme. Both of which he wanted and would have. Or at least...he hoped.



Emmie looked up at Cole and she shrugged, "I'm just dandy." She was planning on entering into a long rant. Then, she ended with a cry, but it was obvious that wasn't going to happen; many things were obvious lately. Cole declared that Esme was hurt and she frowned. She watched his figure run off into the distance. She knew she should be following, but at the moment she was mad at Esme. She was concerned for her, but she wouldn't let it show.

So, Emmie stood, brushed off her legs, and then walked into the house. She looked around at the empty house and sighed. Why was she so alone on this trip? She jogged upstairs and into her room. She flopped onto bed. "At least I can nap in peace." Quickly, Emmie slipped into sleep. Dreams taking her away from this suddenly cruel world.

Esme narrowed her eyes and 'accidentally' hit her brother with her surf board. "Be nice.. I could have died if it wasn't for him." She watched Eric walk off toward Emmie. She frowned and sat down on the beach and looked out at the ocean. She looked over at Eric and couldn't help that she was staring at him. She smiled and walked over to him. "Um.. I was thinking about going to a club tonight... Would you like to go? I will buy you a drink for saving my life." She smiled and twisted a strand of her long brown hair waiting to see what he would say.

Cole looked down at Emmie. "Are you sure you are okay Em?" Cole suddenly hugged her and was surprisingly nice. "Come on you can tell me... Or would you rather talk to my sister." He smiled down at her trying to sway her over. Cole frowned and followed her back to the house angry. He went into Emmie's room and tried to wake her up. "Em... Wake up... We are all going out and I wanted to know if you would like to go?" He smiled.

Cole looked down at Emmie. "Are you sure you are okay Em?" Cole suddenly hugged her and was surprisingly nice. "Come on you can tell me... Or would you rather talk to my sister."
