History

History: She was given to an orphanage around the age of 4 when her mother was taken to jail for selling crack cocaine out on the streets on New York City. Her father was never around, even when her mother was pregnant with her. Neither of her parents ever valued her life, and even though her mom never told her that, it was easy for Zoe O'Brian to tell, even at the young age of four. This left her very quiet, introverted, and with a pretty low self-esteem. It gave her a new found fear of getting close to others. She was given to several foster homes throughout her years, some who really tried to give her a loving home, but each time anyone would try and get close to her, Zoe would run away from home. She managed to graduate high school, barely, but once she got out, that was the last her final foster family saw of her. She was 18 when she hit the streets alone, sleeping in parks and alleyways at night and scavenging for food during the day. The day she turned nineteen, her life changed forever. She met Giotto, who was wandering around the streets alone as well and found her at a playground. She took him in, thinking he was the most beautiful cat she'd ever seen. Little did she know, Giotto had been searching for her and finally found her. He spoke into her mind one day, which scared Zoe terribly and took her a while to get used to. He told her his history, what he truely was. She finally was able to listen to Giotto, that he was a mage, and her reality that she is a mage, that this magic was always inside of her. He awakened her to this truth, and has since been her teacher in the ways of Mind magic. He gave her the Shadow Name Scarlet, because of her red hair. Currently she lives her life still roaming the city of New York with Giotto. They enjoy going on adventures and she takes each new day as a new beginning, a new challenge. Giotto is the only other being she trusts, even if he is only a cat. Of course, he has a human soul, so she sees him more than just a pet cat. Without him entering her life, she would have surely got into drugs and the wrong crowd.

Other: Giotto is her only friend, she would do anything for her cat. He helped her and was there for her when no one else was.
