Introduction

Basic Overview
Earth, 1934 At about this time, the initial war between the Lycans began as a simple discussion gone wring within the Lycanian law system. Soon this disagreement turned from a small argument to radio broadcasts. These broadcasts subsequently were transferred over to Lycanian television, and soon the entire world was involved within the war.

Earth, 1992 The war hit a temporary standstill...that was, until a Lycan army bombed a hidden lair, turning what had been a sixty-two year long cold war into a physical war.

Earth, 2010 The war peaked, as a young recruit and several other innocent trainees were killed when a bomber attacked a training center. Fifty five teachers, instructors, and guards were killed, ten injured. Three hundred students were killed, five hundred injured.

Earth, 2053 The Revolts began losing. After a failed attempt to capture an opposing fort and losing an entire squadron of over three hundred thousand, the leader was assassinated and replaced by a strange man rumored to be two-thirds robot, one-third human. The world came to know him only as The Master.

Earth, 2054 After debate that a man who had his soul preserved for 500 years within a plastic orb couldn't manage an army, the leader made his name known with what became widely known as the Maddox Massacre. Christmas 2054, Lucien Maddox (The Master) dropped an small bomb on a city in Ireland, wiping out almost 75% of the population in that area. Doubts about The Master's power quickly died off.

The War
As stated, it started back in 1992, and is still going strong in 2550. By now, the Lycan war has become a bloodbath, and it's reached the point where the war has poured out from the hidden battlegrounds it once took place in to human streets. Humans have taken notice, and soon they rounded up a military division in every country across the globe dedicated solely to killing Lycans. However, the human action has done nothing more but drag them into a war they never should have been in...

The Sides
The Revolts: The Revolts believe that Lycans are the sole leaders of the world and are constantly terrorizing humans. They believe that humans are basically lunch meat and also have the grotesque habit of spearing human heads on poles outside camps while gorging on human remains. No, they're not from Twilight. They have the advantage of being the current dominant party, with bases dotted across the globe and the most advanced weapons available in mass quantities on demand. Base hidden beneath Paris, France.

The Rebels: The Rebels are the side which believe that Lycans and humans are both equal, and most are supporters of human rights...literally. Most of the Lycans on this side believe in the old legend that when the planet was created and humans were placed on it, Lycans came with them to protect the world. However, some do not and only join because they support humans. They have the upper hand when it comes to strategic aspects of war and making due with the few, normally low-tech weapons on hand. Base hidden in area accessible only with use of Lycan magic on Mount Everest.

The Humans: They're the more simple side. They were dragged into war accidentally, and now find themselves trying desperately to catch up. While most of this force work underground and simply run about sniping Lycans of both sides, some work on the battlefields and/or as spies. They have the upper hand when it comes to getting weapons, though not the most high tech, most of their weapons come in massive quantities. Base located in Quebec, Canada.

Rules

RULES
You may have up to three characters, but none of your characters can be in the same faction!
1. Follow all RPG rules in general
2. Power/Ability Limitations:
Characters can have a maximum of two abilities if they are Lycans, though you can only have one if you choose.
3. Post Length: I'm not asking for a novel in every post, just give it depth. I'd like at least one or two nice paragraphs. What you give is what you get.
4. No Power Gaming
5. No Godmodding
6.
Anyone found in offense of rules 4 or 5 will be eaten.
7. Do Not kill off characters of active roleplayers...AKA..don't kill off anyone unless I say so...please?
8. When registering for a character, please copy and paste the following into the specified areas of your character information, this will make things a lot easier.
---->This part goes in your character Description
Code: Select all
Race (Lycan/Human)

---->This part goes in your Equipment.
Code: Select all
Primary Weapon:
Secondary Weapon:
Specialty:

Now, this one is a bit confusing, so here's a brief explanation.
Your primary and seocndary weapons are somewhat self-explanitory. Your specialty is what your character is best at using. I'd prefer if this is not either of your character's primary or secondary weapons.
As for what weapons you can use...
Elements: Self-explanitory, you use your powers, this is automatically included when you're a Lycan.
Bare Hands: Everyone automatically gets this one, so no need to make it a weapon.
Daggers, Swords, and Blades: Yes, you can use them, just don't go overboard.
LWI-AR-BIII: Short for Lightweight Iron Auto-Reload Bullet III. It's an iron gun that utomatically reloads after each shot. somes in shotgun and pistol style...NO MACHINE GUN VERSIONS.
Antique Guns: Any of the guns we use today...again, no machine guns.
Bombe AV3: The equivilent of a long-range machine gun.
Fusée IP243: OMG! Futuristic grenades! Wee! (Character must be at least 34 to use these, and you can only have a limited amount, so don't run around chucking grenades at everyone.)
9. Please use third-person, past tense!

DemiKara wrote:I certainly like the idea, and you have the history very well written out, along with a clear and distinct villain. I believe it is too early in the role-play just yet to accurately judge it, but it seems to have a bright (war torn) future ahead of it. I'm a little iffy about the plot, as it seems player driven in nature, but I think that it will be brilliant nonetheless. The world you have created here is very well detailed and drawn. I do like the addition of stylized quotes to give a feel to the background of the story int he introduction.

Tiko wrote:It is far too early to really see where this might lead for sure but from what I have seen so far, it seems to be a very well thought out roleplay. The GM has taken the time to really draw up the situation and present the setting and story (both present and historical) in an intriguing light. It's not too overwritten but still rather eye catching. The introduction also displays a certain touch of humor while not detracting from the general organization and well written aspect of it. It is both presentable and good natured all in one. I would have to say that as long as the GM gives as much care and attention to the roleplay as the introduction, that this roleplay has a bright future ahead of it.

Great job so far, keep doing what your doing.

Talon Harvard Gillet growled and hoisted his pistol style LWI-AR-BIII over his shoulder. His icy blue eyes scanned the horizon. The boy was in Lycan form, thus in place of a human, there stood a hulking, bipedal figure with a wolfish muzzle, head, ears, and hind legs, yet the furry arms and hands of a human...that is, if humans had giant claws topping each finger! His fur was a silky dark brown, and a pair of canines to rival a sabertooth tiger's were clearly visible.

Romy Farlan shifted her dark blue optics to focus on the distance. A faint sound capturing her attention. She moved her feet instantly towards the sound. Her body moving against the shadows and with the wind current rather than a singular form.

Alina stood behind the counter of the Montage Cafe, a rag in hand and a sullen expression upon her pretty face. At this time, the cafe was slow, no patrons would be seen for a while yet and she was already on the brink of wanting to throw something, smash it perhaps. A wolf is seldom calm, and even more seldom restless. Giving a soft growl of frustration she moved out from behind the counter and tossed the rag on a nearby table. She'd simply have to entertain herself for now. Taking up her violin she'd nestled in the corner of the small show floor Alina settled it against her chin, and bringing the bow against the strings began playing an upbeat tempo, her arm seemingly flailing as she slid the bow across the strings, maneuvering it so that the music flowing from it held no flaw.

Drowning in the music she felt her wolf subside with it's restlessness and a smile spread over her lips as she slowed the strides of the bow to create a more sensual sound more pleasing to a dream like tune and finished. Placing the violin back in it's velvet casing she shut the lid and glanced around. Heaving a sigh she simply settled to cleaning the tables that were already clean and began creating chores for herself to keep busy until others joined. The Rebels were a large group but everyone had things to do, tasks laid out for their day. Her profession allowed her a slower paced life style, but she was unaccustomed to and at times like this she'd preferred to just go on a rampage and destroy something.

Lucien Maddox Spectre sighed, raising a brow as he entered the cafe, his robotic eye regarding the building sceptically as he sat down at the bar, ordering himself a bottle of Everclear and grinning as he received his drink. With this, he dropped a few coins in front of the bartender before he rose to his feet, limping over to the counter and again raising a brow. "Nice playing," he remarked casually. "But what are you doing here so early? Training is in session, and I'm sure that you must have something to do, regardless," the man added, a smirk crossing his face before he quickly faded back to the normally bland look Lucien always wore.

"Before you ask, I'm Lucien Maddox Spectre. Also known as the old robotic jackass and/or Jigsaw," he muttered, nodding and tipping his battered black fedora at her. He knew that even though there were tales of terror linked to him, he was rarely seen, meaning most people didn't know whether he was a robotic prank or an actual person. Sighing casually, he flicked his right wrist, letting the dagger swing out from its concealed space before he gripped it by the blade, his thick leather gloves protecting him from knifing himself. With mild interest, he quietly scanned the blade over with his fake eye, sighing as the device relayed him some information. New blade. 5" Iron and steel. Produced by Rebel Weapon Corps..

With her head bowed slightly Alina only heard the man enter, order his drink and lastly the clinking of his coins on the counter before, a brow lifted and she raised her gaze to him. He was limping and more so limping towards her. When he remarked she played nicely Alina nodded and rose to stand straight as he spoke again, this time asking her for her reasons of being here so early. Her expression was serious but her tone was gentle as she answered him back. "I should say the same for you Spectre" the corner of her lips turned upright in a smirk. Moving past him she picked up her rag and stuffed it in her apron, her feet carrying her behind the bar. By this time she noticed he'd flicked a dagger from a concealed space and was staring at it. "I'm Alina Rodriguez and I work in the cafe' per that fact my training is at a different time as I'm sure others that work around here are. If everyone trained at the same time the battlegrounds would sure be over packed and where is the fun in training if you're falling over one another" she stated.

Two more people entered and she served them their beverages, one slipped over to the jukebox. A few seconds passed and a song came on, it was alright in beat but she preferred something else. When everyone was settled again Alina poured herself a glass of water and sipped it generously, her eyes roaming over Spectre once more before she looked away. Setting her glass off to the side so no one would mistake it as theirs she saw that she'd forgotten to stock some of the alcoholic beverages and moved to the back, through a doorway and into the kitchen area. Off to the left was another door, opening it Alina stepped inside and flicked the light on. The storage room had it's own feel to it, dank and slightly darkened by the limited amount of light. Finding the bottles she needed Alina exited and returned, placing each bottle where they were supposed to be. "What brings you here so early Spectre?" she chose to call him that, it make him more mysterious when labeled as such, or so she thought.

Lucien smirked, raising a brow. "I guess you're right. I was just saying. But as for what I'm doing here...I felt like getting a drink,"he said simply, shrugging and folding his arms."And I assume that business has been quite slow today... I'd expect as much...it's early..." he muttered casually as he flicked the dagger back into its hiding spot. It was expected, yes, but unusual. The entire community was a mixed bunch, usually meaning at least five people would normally be around here. Still...the elevated tension in the war was probably prompting most people to stay indoors.

"Anyway...that and I need a few empty bottles for one of my...um...training courses, shall we say?" the man added, smirking and looking around a bit more, thinking. "Oh, and you might want to make sure that you don't want the bottles back. I'll be doing a bit of modifying." Yes, most people usually knew what he meant by this, and most referred to it as him looking for new torture tools. This particular course needed a bit of broken glass, though there was a short supply of bottles in the junkyard for his needs, so he'd decided to borrow a few from the local bars. With this said, he smirked and quietly conjured a small, glowing purple orb of dark energy, using his fingers to manipulate its positioning as if he were spinning it in his hand. It served a dual purpose, it looked nice, it looked classy, and it looked painfully intimidating.

Alina stood up from behind the counter and eyed him, "Bottles...ah yes, you're the guy that come for them. Usually I'm not here yet, but I was asked to cover for someone today" she commented and moved over to a corner behind the bar, grabbed a small box and lifting it with ease, walked out from around the bar and held them out to him. "I doubt we'll need them back. So far shipments have been coming as scheduled, if they don't then we'll hog the bottles" she winked, smiled and moved back to a stool, slid onto it to sit and sighed. "I am a little curious though, it may be early but the cafe is still a little fuller than this. I wonder if some of the others chose to train a little longer than usual." her smile slowly faded. "I think everyone just wants to push themselves to the limits of their training so that when the war comes they are well prepared" Alina stated, wanting to believe her own words as well.

When Spectre formed the large purple dark energy in his hand her eyes immediately went to it. "Ah...so your elemental is darkness. I had hoped I'd gain that one, but I have fire" she smiled, holding her own hand out in front of her, with little concentration sparks flickered in her palm before coming alive into a large cast of flames that licked and spiraled in the air. "It took me a while to control it, but now I have total control" Closing her palm the flame exstinguished itself. "I still am a little iffy on earth, but that's the way it is" clearing her throat she slid from the stool and stretched. "Anyways I'm sure you're here to relax, not hear me babble"

"Interesting. I wanted fire, but I ended with Darkness. Who knew? Maybe it's the inner nutjob that landed me with it," he said with a snicker. "Anyway, no. I'm not here to relax, I just came to pick up a few bottles to smash up for a course," he added, winking and allowing himself a wry grin. He was infamous for simply sliding through places to pick up everyday objects that could be easily used for his debatable training grounds. With this, he quietly pulled out his pad of graph paper, setting it on the table and circling a part of the sloppily slapped together excuse for a blueprint. The piece he circled appeared to be a trap door-like object which was released when a handle was pulled. "See, I need to teach this kid a bit of self control. He pulls that 'do not pull' lever, WHAM! He'll get a nice bit of glass falling from the sky!"

With this, the man put the blueprint back into his pocket. "Besides that, i also came to pick up about twenty beers. I need 'em for tonight. Orientation. Suckish orientation. Bleh, at least I got out of it!" he said with a mischievous smile. "Anyway... I just need the beer, my bottles, and I'll be on my way eventually," he muttered, chuckling.

Deryx walked in the Eroberung Cafe dressed in his black hoody and khaki pants and sat at the cafe bar and asked for a couple shots of vodka. Deryx slammed one down and rotated the alcohol in his second glass and then drank that one as well. Deryx walked out the cafe after a couple shots of liquor and lit up a cigarette and stared at a suspicious vehicle across the street. Deryx watched the black car and took a couple drags off of his cigarette and spoke to himself "Its kind of obvious how suspicious you are when your car has shaded windows." Deryx believed these were some rebel spies keeping an eye on him. Deryx was already reported to be wandering around the town after he killed a Rebel Spy that was looking for The Revolt base. The Revolts had no jobs for him and he was wanting some time off. It seems like now he is going to have another night of bloodshed. Deryx walked away from the cafe and began walking down the street and of course the car started its engine and slowly began following him.

Later when Deryx got to the end of the street he took off down an alley and ran dodging the trash cans and garbage in the alley. The car quickly pulled up next to the alley entrance and rolled down the car window and opened fire with an uzi. Deryx rolled behind a dumpster and was hearing the ricochet of bullets hit the dumpster. Deryx pulled out his .50 calibur magnum pistol and rolled out from behind the dumpster and shot a couple rounds at the car. Deryx immediately continued down the ally and the car drove away from the opening of alley. Deryx reached the other side of the alley and saw a car stopped at a redlight in the road. Deryx ran up to the car and opened the door and sat in the passenger side and pointed a gun at the drivers ear and commanded "Drive!" The scared civilian replied "No I won't do it", Deryx sighed and pulled the trigger in his gun and the drivers brains and blood splattered against the window. Then he tossed the body out the driver door and wiped off the blood off the windshield. He began driving the car down the street. Deryx sat in the driver seat and began driving to downtown Paris to an entrance in the sewer to hideout at the Revolt base. Deryx sighed and said to himself "I'm sick of this job."

Talon frowned as he heard the sounds of gunfire nearing the entrance of the Revolt base. Rolling his eyes, he made his way out via a nearby subway and looked around a bit, finally noticing the bloodied car and knowing that few people would do something as wild as this. "Yes, Deryx, you're really being inconspicuous, aren't you? Nothing unusual about a random man driving around in a blood-drenched car!" he snarled sarcastically, rolling his eyes. Sure, he was probably more than half the man's age, but he was also a pretty powerful person in the Revolt world, even with his age. And, as far as he was concerned, there was nothing worse than making a scene then running back to one of the many entrances to the Revolt world.

"Are you trying to get us all killed!? You've lost it! Completely, utterly lost it!!!" he rambled, rolling his eyes and looking the man over before raising a brow. "You're one of those mercenary guys, aren't you? Those people that run around shooting people and then running back here!? Damn, I need to talk to whoever it is that trains you people..." [desc]Talon finished, rolling his eyes. "Seriously, you people are going to get us massacred! If you kill someone, at least clean it up thoroughly before you come back, okay? We clear on that?"

Deryx pulled up and left the car in an alley and went down to a subway. Deryx was expecting another lecture from the stronger and younger Revolt Talon, so he lit up a cigarette and took a couple drags off of it as he entered the subway. Of course stood Talon awaiting Deryx to teach him a lesson he won't listen to, Deryx interrupted "I don't see you putting up with this dirty job. I am the one doing all the killing and you know it. If you don't like the way I do my job then maybe you should consider giving me a raise or finding a different mercenary. I'm sure they would be dead within a week."

Deryx took a couple more drags off of his cigarette as he listened to Talon complaining about how Deryx does things. Deryx rolled his eyes and continued "You know I only trained myself I wouldn't rely on your pathetic excuse of a training program to save my life." Deryx took one last drag off of his cigarette and threw it down the railroad in the Subway and answered Talon's order with a comment "You know I get payed to kill people to make sure we don't get massacred. On the whole ,brains splattered against the windshield ordeal, I gave an effort to wipe that guys brains off", once again Talon asked "We clear on that?" Deryx answered rolling his eyes with a sigh "Crystal clear now when do i get paid."

I'll pay you as soon as you either get that car completely cleaned off in a manner that won't attract attention or when you figure out how to get that car down into the base without attracting attention. We clear on that?" he inquired, raising a brow before wheeling over towards the subway entrance and looking down, raising a brow as he noticed the car sitting on the tracks. "Wonderfully subtle, Deryx. Wonderfully subtle," he muttered, rolling his eyes. However, even with all the snide comments and remarks, he couldn't help but smirk at Deryx's antics.

"Now... As for the dirty job... most of our jobs get pretty dirty at some point or another around here, yours is just more gory than the others. So, clean up the car and..." he muttered, his voice fading out as he noticed the subway train (which was made of high-quality iron and steel, and protected against fire and explosion, powered by high-intensity magnetics and a mix of solar and nuclear energy) slam into the car, causing it to spontaneously explode. The passengers inside the train were unharmed, though everyone in the surrounding area seemed to be either unconscious or dead. Rolling his eyes, Talon looked over at Deryx, a smirk quickly appearing on his face before it was replaced by a frown. "Fine. I'll pay you. Let's just get down to the base before we get caught... Way to blow up a subway," he muttered, rolling his eyes yet making no effort to mask the smirk he wore when he spoke about the subway exploding.

Deryx smiled as he saw the subway crash into the car and blew the vehicle up. Talon sarcastically congradulated Deryx on getting rid of the car, Deryx replied and said "No problem i always love some good fireworks to represent a job well done." Deryx helped Talon down to the tracks and began venturing down the tunnel and demanded "You better know the way there I havent been here in at least a few months." Deryx lit up another cigarette on the walk down the subway tunnel and took some drags off of the cigarette. Deryx thought to himself then asked Talon "I was wondering if i could spend a couple days down here. It seems I got someone watching my butt everywhere I go and I kind of need some shelter for the time being."

# Montage Cafe, 2010-09-01 07:56:58, as written by Shavnia_Velmount
She caught the wink and the wry grin which made her smile widen some. "I see" then motioning to the box she remarked. "Well these are all we have until business picks up tonight. If you check back after closing we'll have more for you. I'll let the others know not to toss them." she stopped and watched him when he withdrew a paper and spread it over the table. Blueprints, she thought then stepped closer to see what he was mumbling about. "Ah so this is why you need the bottles then, you must be a hard ass trainer" she chuckled. "Well it seems you have things to do, I'll leave you to your work"
With that she stepped back and turned around making her way back behind the counter. She took a few bottles of beer and packed them for him and slid them next to the box of empty bottles he had requested on the counter. "There you are. And I've been through orientation I've seen the way things go, I commend you for being the one to train us. Truly admirable if you ask me. Although," she trailed off and slightly mumbled the rest, "I wish the war was over." she quickly clamped her lips together as if she'd spoken out of line and blushed. Turning away from him she touched her hand to her cheeks and groaned, inwardly scolding herself for even blushing. You never blush, why are you blushing, stop it it's not like you. Gathering herself she gave him a small wave and excused herself to the back room to gather up a few more things to prep for the night, calling over her shoulder as she walked away. "Enjoy the bottles"

Lucien smiled, raising a brow. "Thank you...and indeed, I'm a hard ass trainer. I'm not one of the trainers to baby the soldiers. They get their asses kicked around a bit, you send 'em out, and then if they make it back, you baby them until they go out again," he explained, another, darker, smile spreading across his face. "But the trick is, you kick them around a bit in the beginning. You have to know they're not going to wimp out on you," he continued, nodding. At that moment, he caught the blush. However, he decided not to comment. He wasn't one for emotions. "Thanks you. Glad someone appreciates the Revolt Jigsaw," the man said, chuckling. "And everyone wishes it was over. But if you ask me, I'm not gonna' lie. I don't think this thing will end any time soon," he said shortly. "Anyway, thank you for the bottles. While I'm here, could I have a beer? As in, a full bottle?" Lucien inquired, smiling calmly.

Alina stopped short of making it to the back, she'd heard all he had to say and turned only halfway to lean against the door frame. "I know, but we can all hope. The last thing we need are weaklings, the harder you push them the harder they will fight for you, for our cause. It's a good thing and I commend you for it" remarking she gave a sincere smile and moved back out into the room, leaning down she snatched up the bottle of beer he asked for, grabbing up the bottle opener and tearing off the cap reached over the bar and set it down before him. "It's on the house, enjoy" Another of the their group came in and sat down ordering up a drink. Alina nodded and went about preparing it. Glancing at the clock on the wall the expression she gave was acknowledgment. "Right on time" she murmured and went about setting up a few empty cups. The others would be pouring in soon to drown their sorrow or just celebrate in the next ten minutes.

Sliding the drink to the man at the end of the counter she stepped over to the wall behind her and took the apron off the hook, tied it around her waist and rummaged through it to make sure her pen, paper pad and cloth was in the pockets. Satisfied she stepped from around the counter, up to the jukebox and spent a few minutes looking through the selection before she settled on a song. Pushing the buttons she moved away as the music began filling the cafe with a jazzy tune. She made it back around the counter just as the cook poked his head through the small window and greeted her. Waving Alina turned her attention back to Spectre.

Warren walked into the cafe and settled on a seat on the counter. He turned to the waitress with his face full of fresh wounds. "One scotch on the rocks, please." He looked around through the cafe, but nothing realy made it to his brain. Maybe it was too soon to relax, it was just minutes ago that he had escaped from death and was picked up by the rebels. Then as he slowly get back to reality he notices that he is drawing some attention from the others in the bar. He figured that was vecause he was new and on top of that he was covered in wounds. He tried to ignore this and minded his own bussines, but he quickly realised that it would only mean more sorrow and more self-pity, something he had forbidden himself to have. But what else could he do, he didn't know anyone here and he didn't know if he even would want to know anyone here, with the idea that they could be dead tomorrow.

# Revolt Bases, 2010-09-03 17:45:40, as written by *Darth-Kryon*
Deryx walked down to the base and other Revolts were working within the underground base. The base wasn't too far from the catacombs and the paths were soaked in run off water. Deryx took off his hood and sat in a chair in a room full of Revolts. Deryx was already bored and decided to light up another cigarette with the one he was about to finish. He threw the finished cigarette down the hall and started smoking another one. Deryx slouched in the chair and began to think to himself he should do another one of their jobs or take off once more and do his own routine. Deryx patiently waited for the Revolts to pay him his cash for the earlier job he has done. Deryx sighed and commanded "Hurry up with the cash I'm starving and need something to eat down here" Deryx took a drag off of his cigarette and waited for Talon to get his 3500 dollar pay.

# The Grande, 2010-09-08 20:50:28, as written by the_fluffmeister
Alexander sauntered up to The Grande tapping his cane against the ground every few steps. His black shirt strained to hold back his large gut, which wobbled with every step, and his long black trench-coat drifted lazily behind him. A small smile hovered about Alexander's, or Alex as he preferred, pasty white face as he took in the scenery. Alex paused for a moment outside the door to flip his lit cigarette in a lazy arc that ended with the smoldering ember landing dead center in the ashtray by the door. The bell above the door rang as Alex walked in and headed to a nearby table, he ordered a large coffee and while waiting for that to arrive opened his messenger bag and pulled out a steel coated laptop and sterted it up. After his coffee was delivered, Alex paid for his drink and pulled out a small flask from which he poured a liberal dose of whiskey. Sipping relaxedly and typing away, Alexander sorted through his files and sent the most pertinent ones off to his unknown contact in the rebels.
*I wonder if I'm making the right decision...* Alex wondered as he finished his coffee and left the cafe, lighting another cigarette as he walked.

# Revolt Training Grounds, 2010-09-08 22:59:15, as written by TheDoombringer
Secluded from the other training grounds was Tyler’s fighting square. It wasn’t much but it gave him some space to focus on himself. Surrounding him were 3 other revolts. Two in there werewolf form and the third in human. The human was armed with a LWI-AR-BIII deul pistols. The werewolves on the other hand simply used their claws and elements. The grey one having light and the brown wielding fire. The human ducked for cover behind the gray and began shooting from any opening she got. Tyler only equipped with his bone armour and elements brought up a wall of darkness that would block any vision at him for ten seconds. The light brown one summoned a ball of fire and fired it to the wall, before impact it exploded into a million little pieces of char by Tyler’s shadow scythe, rearing back up to attack the grey wolf who had now summoned to lesser swords of lights began to cut and slash away at Tyler who simply stepped back slid to the right and socked him with his spiked knuckle in the stomach. The grey wolf gasps for air and falls forward as Tyler brings his foot up and round house kicks the brown one before he could finish his wall of fire around himself. He raises his foot and slams his foot down on the brown wolfs head and then knees the female in the head before picking her up and throwing her at the know slowly raising up grey wolf. With all three defeated he takes deep breathes and rests himself. "That was a good fight but actually try some symmetry next time or else there’s going to be a lot more limbs being thrown." he says humorously at the three who know began pushing themselves up and rubbing their bruises. Tyler began walking over to his sword and picked it up before heading over to the gate for a short guard patrol.

Alina turned her head as most of the other patrons had when Warren entered. Lifting a brow she examined his features, he was new, she could tell this not by his unease. But by the way his scent came with death forcing her to wrinkle her nose. Excusing herself from Spectre Alina saw him settle himself at the bar and ordered up a scotch on the rocks. She moved about behind the counter and gathered up a small glass filled with a few pieces of ice and finding the large bottle of scotch she poured some into the glass nearly to the top, set the large bottle back behind the counter and walked the beverage over to Warren. "Here you are, would you like a wash cloth for your face?" she asked, a thoughtful expression upon her face as she eyed him curiously. "To wash up your wounds of course" she stated so as not to freak him out.
Alina was curious where he came from and had a load of questions, but kept her mouth shut with the rest so as not to sound or appear intrusive. She simply stood there a moment awaiting to see if he did or did not wish the washcloth, when you are a wolf, you learn about people through their movements their body language and his was merely showing tired, distant and nervous even.

Warren turned his head to the waitress as she brought him the scotch. When he was asked wether he would like a wash cloth, he smiled. " I'd rather wait with that untill the Iodine has done its job, you never know where those revolts have been with their hands, but thanks for the offer. By the way, my name is Warren Grant, expect me to be a regular here." As he said that he noticed that a group of patrons on a nearby table were wispering, probably about him as they constantly were watching him. It was normal that poeple talked about him, as he kinda sticks out from the crowd, but that didn't mean that he liked it.

He drank his scotch in one go and seemingly as sober, but a lot more confident, he walked to the table and wispered with a voice that just sounded like authority to the men at the table: " I don't like cowards who talk around someones back, if you talk about someone be a man and do it in his face." As Warren nearly had turned to get back to his seat he heard someone on the table say jerk. Warren turned back to the table and with the same voice he wispered: " If you don't like me, well...tough luck, because I am going to be for a long time, at the very least till this war is over. So you'll have to deal with me for a long time." Warren walked back to his seat and turned back to the waitress. To clarify what he just had done. "You are a lycan, right? So you should understand what I just did there, simply pack behaviour. Even though we think that we are civilized, humans still are herd animals."

# Earth (2550), 2010-09-13 22:15:55, as written by the_fluffmeister
Walking towards his house, Alexander pulled out his antique pocket-watch and noted that he had several hours before work that evening. With a sigh, he lit up another cigarette and started walking at a faster pace, planning his schedule. After an hour of speed-walking, Alexander had built up a decent sweat and reached his house, a small one-story building that he rented. After punching in his security code, and switching it to the next one on his list, Alexander walked inside and locked the door behind himself. Leaving his coat and cane, sans head, by the door he walked down into his basement and dropped the stylized chrome skull on his desk and removed his shirt, revealing a gray flesh-like substance. Reaching up to the back of his neck, Alexander peeled away a layer of the substance and undid a button, letting the hanging gut sag, before pulling the entire thing off of himself revealing a slim, fit, pasty white torso.
"ah, much better." Alex said to himself as he carried the contraption over to the wall and set it down. Turning to his desk, Alex removed his glasses and picked up a slim wire hanging from the computer on his desk. With a few keystrokes Alex brought up the video recorded during his outing and started the facial recognition program on his computer to see if there had been any new faces in the crowd. While the program ran, Alex removed the glove from his right arm and set to pulling out the various items he had underneath it, wincing occasionally when something got stuck on the skin around it. For the next several hours Alex alternated between filing and organizing the information from his glasses and going through his workout routine, all the time singing the same line from his favorite song
"Paranoia paranoia, everybody's coming to get me, just say you never met me, I'm going underground with the moles, diggin' holes. Paranoia...."
At noon an alarm went off and Alex looked over, seeing that it was time for work. "Once more into the breach, I suppose." he muttered to himself as he logged his computer on to the human military website, sliding on his fake gut and black shirt as it loaded. As soon as he had logged on a video screen popped up an an old man wearing an army outfit stared out from it, disgust curling his lip. "Soligem you disgusting lump, I barely have the patience to deal with you when you're on time, let alone when you slide in several minutes late. I have half a mind to-" the old man was cut off by a loud raspberry from Alex who replied "You have half a mind period. Sir. Now if you please give me my work for today so that I don't have you reminding me that when I'm two-hundred years old I'll look just as bad as you do now." The old man glared for a moment before turning his attention to something off-screen and typing. "You'll be receiving it in a moment, I expect a full report at the end of your shift." He gruffed before closing the window. Grinning slightly at his ability to irritate the old man, Alex cheerfully began typing away deciphering intelligence reports about the goings on of the rebel and revolt troops, occasionally copying and saving an interesting file to his personal file.
*Maybe tomorrow I should try to apply for an official position in the army.... Nah* Alex thought to himself while he worked

# The Grande, 2010-09-18 20:05:54, as written by Vio-Lance
Ghillian walked into the Grande slowly, his hands dug into the pockets of his clothing. He sighed as he would sit down at the bar, looking at the tender with a deep look of un-enthusiasm. "Scotch on the rocks, please." He would say monotonely. He would spin around to look around The Grande. It seemed a little more...vacant than it usually did. He supposed it was due to the time of day, or something irrelevant like that. The tender returned with his drink, and he reached around to pick up his drink, to start with a heavy sip. The drink was swiftly finished by a sigh, and the sound of a glass hitting the counter. He would turn back around look to each table. Only a few patrons...and no card games going, like usual. He was craving to play Blackjack; a game he hadn't played in a long time.

He would remain quiet, to wait and see if anyone he knew extensively came through the door....

Her eyes examined his face a moment as he spoke, her nose finally catching the scent of the iodine and the corner of her nose wrinkled some. But she nodded her head in response. "That sounds like a plan," but when he turned his attention to the group at the table across from them she caught a few words, things that shouldn't be said about anyone who was considered one of them. Gritting her teeth Alina turned her eyes and ears back to Warren. "Pleasure to meet you, I'm Alina and if one didn't become a regular here at Montage then I wouldn't have work." but he rose from his chair suddenly and moved over to the table. Giving a soft irritated growl Alina filled his drink again and waited for him to return. She heard the deep throaty rumble of his tone towards the younglings and smirked some when he made his way back. It was like every male wolf to show how much ego he had, this one was no different. At least here she wasn't a piece of meat being sought after. This she was glad of. Now seated she kept her gaze level with Warren, in a wolf world this would have been considered a challenge but as a comrade for the same cause Alina knew he'd not take it as such, but there was always a chance. When he asked her if she were Lycan Alina nearly burst out laughing, instead she stifled it and smiling nodded. "We are all Lycan here, humans have their own grounds to play on." Her eyes flashed the golden hues of her more primal side. She wiped down a spot she'd spilled a little alcohol on. "I saw what you did, they deserved it, but will they learn is the bigger question. You're new, they sense it. I smell it." she pointed at Spectre. "He's one of our trainers, a well known one and tough, but our turn out wouldn't be good if he wasn't" She would've said more but a smashing sound at a table had her eyes darting to see a few broken bottles. Scoffing she gave Warren an apologetic look before moving out from behind the counter after snatching up a small bucket to clean up the mess.

I made a character.... was she approved?

Re: [OOC] Arcane Armageddon

Just signed up today and was wondering if this place is still active? If so, I patiently await character approval. If not? Well, hopefully someone is kind enough to let me know so I won't continue to check back and see if it is or not.

Re: [OOC] Arcane Armageddon

Sooooooo is it safe to assume this is dead?........

Re: [OOC] Arcane Armageddon

lol, doom, maybe you should post somethign with your character then

Re: [OOC] Arcane Armageddon

Wait people actually use the chat? Holy crap ice, been missing out on alot, no wonder the posting area is a dead zone. Hope nothing past by me in my absence.

Re: [OOC] Arcane Armageddon

Thanks for the suggestions, Charecter, and I'd like to point out... Don't forget that we also have the chat! Just to encourage some activity there, I've posted in the Rebel Base area with Talon, so maybe that might stimulate some activity in the chat, eh? Chat's no different from forum, if you need help using it, check out ViceVersus (the lovely Sato's) amazing topic, The Hitchhiker's Guide to RPG!

Re: [OOC] Arcane Armageddon

alright, hey, can we get some of the others to continue, my post is getting lonely...

lol

anyways, we should probably get back to it, because pretty soon we might need to throw in some battles/assassination plots/spying, and also, we could use a good event to help increase the story. I added a minor event in my post about a Human Airport bombing (oh how original of me XD), and so, we might want to work something off that maybe.

Just saying that it seems to have slowed.

Also, feel free, if you haven't made a character yet and want a basis for one that would help you enter the story, Matthew is an old friend of my characters that is mentioned in the history. He doesn't need to be added, but it is a good basis.
