Introduction
You are in a deep sleep when suddenly a bag flings over your head and you struggle to get out, but then getting knocked out cold. When you awake again you see yourself strapped to a chair with other people tied and bound also.
Two men approach that were both hooded and cloaked. One was wearing tight white cloths as the other wore loose black robes. The one in the white stepped forward and took in a deep breath saying, "Hello I am Golian, Assassin of Peace. You have all been chosen to a quest. Whoever wins this quest will get a great reward and whoever loses the quest.... dies. The reason this is happening might be explained in the end... that is if you live till then. You all have great stealth, quickness, and flexibility. You were all once great assassins of the universe. However your memory is dim from a great unknown war. There is one more thing you have though. You each have a element. A power! An ability that no one has been able to control. You will learn this ability when you pair up for your quest. There will be two of you and if you try to escape you will die." he said that then turning and walking out the door as the assassin in the black robes untied them all.
"You will each now choose a partner and I will be back within 20 minutes. I will explain more about what is going on, and what you are to do." The mysterious voice demanded, walking out the door as guards glared down at you.

Decades ago you were all once in the greatest place of the universe. It was ran by rankings. The highest ranking you can obtain is the assassin. You were all great assassins guarding the balance of the elements. A great orb levitated at in the throne room of the palace. It held every single element within it. Your job was to make sure no demon or life form got its hands on it. If so, the world may decay if the elements got in the wrong hands.
Soon enough, a whole army came. All of you stood guard fighting them off. Slaying demon after demon your victory was near. But then it happened. Suddenly the other protectors in the Palace turned into turncoats, killing every one of you. They ran to the orb and grabbed it but was stopped by the creator of the orbs, Golian. He slayed down the betrayers but began to be to much. So for his last act he destroyed the orb, breaking it into several shards.
The shards shot off into the universe. No one knew where they had landed. Golian fell to his knees as a cloaked figure approached him, ending his life.
But for the catch! The protectors of the orbs can not die. You have all been reborn in a planet called, Earth. You all continued with your life and obtained a job, wife or husband, and maybe even some kids. But time has come and your duty is not fulfilled. You are captured in your sleep and brought back to your home planet of the universe. This is where you begin to feel your sudden thirst of war and begin revealing your hidden powers. You each are restored back with great ability of assassin, along with a new statistic. An element. Since the orb broke, the elements were set free. Even though you are the ones who obtain the elements doesn't mean others have too.
Whoever gathers up all the shards of the orb and redeems them back together, is granted two options. To place orb back in the palace and bring balance back to universe. Or to keep every single element and power it obtains and turn it over to you. Your choice comes now.
You are to seek these shards and gather them up before it gets into the wrong hands. Others know about what has happen and are on the hunt. The fate of all living things rests on top of this small organization. These "elemental assassins".

OOC Notes
Kale awoke, his eyes watering from being subject to such a quick change. The last thing he remembered was being beside his beloved, Isabel, and falling into a deep, blissful sleep. Then, then the rough burlap sack wrapped around his head, followed by a sharp pain in the back of his head and the resulting darkness. A hooded figure stood in front of him, the mouth of this individual was moving, mouthing words. Yet Kale did not hear. The mouth made words, yet no words were heard. Kale's head sank to the side lazily and his own eyes were glassy. He was still in shock. He was confused, and he thought he was alone. He did not understand, nor wanted to. The first clear and concise thought in his head was the though of his wife, Isabel.
Still ignoring the hooded figure, Kale's eyes focused immediately and his head jerked straight. His frantic eyes first shot to the right, then to the left. Where was she? Where was Isabel? There were an assortment of other people, as well. He was not as alone as he once thought. Yet, none of these people was his Isabel. This both gladdened and saddened him. She would not be subject to this madness and she may still be safe, yet he felt alone once again. Finally, his ears tuned to the man's voice. Upon reflection, it wasn't the same man, this figure wore darkened robes. And he was approaching them.
As he spoke, he began to untie them. The words he spoke, "You will each now choose a partner and I will be back within 20 minutes. I will explain more about what is going on, and what you are to do." Were both confusing and mysterious to him. He had to choose a partner? What for? What he wouldn't give to punch this man in the face. This man or any other who deserved it for the matter. However, he would not get that chance, because as soon as the figure untied him and the rest of the detained, he left. That only left him, the others, and the guard. The guards, who glared at them. Kale did not like the way they looked at him, nor at his compatriots. But mostly him.
As he rubbed his now free wrist, he flipped the middle finger to one of the guards who was giving him a particularly nasty glare, "You see somethin' you like?" He spoke at the guard, with a smirk. This was Kale venting. He was always one who went against the grain. Always one who did the stupid things. Always the one that managed to get hurt. The smirk was only there to prove that he was not afraid and he would not go quietly. Behind the smirk was a tormented and conflicted man. He didn't know where he was, he didn't have any friends here yet, and he didn't have his Isabel.
He leaned back on his chair, heavily, seeing as he had nowhere else to go or to get to. He rubbed his eyes, and wondered what he did to be put in this position. He began to shake his head and speak, not to anyone in particular. "Damn, damn, damn," He began, "Anyone know where in the hell we are? What the hell we did? And what we can do to get back home... I've got a Misses I need to get back to," He said, finally looking at those who were with him.

Gosse struggled as he gained consciousness, but he could not break the bonds around his hands and feet. More importantly he could not see because someone put a bag over his head. As the bag was lifted two mysterious guys started explaining stuff that sounded unreal, and what did they mean by powers? Gosse struggled in the seat he was trapped in even as they spoke, and when he said that they had 20 minutes to choose a partner for some stupid quest and left, Gosse started speaking. "Do any of you nut-brains know whats going on here!? Is this a dream!? Somebody tell me whats going on!", he shouted as his chair wobbled back and forth and eventually making him toppel over. Gosse now layed on his side, "And I don't know if you can hear me mystery guy, but I want out of here now!" Gosse now just listened and waited in a very uncomfortable position.

Jimmy Linch had been awake for a while now, wondering back at what had happened last night, after the sack was pulled over his head. How the hell did they sneak up on me, he wondered, but he remained silent. He also wondered about the girl he had brought home the night before, curious if she had seen anything happen, if she was even alive. Some of the family's enemies would probably go so far as to kill the poor girl in her sleep. Samantha. Not like he was planning on getting with her, no way! But still, she didn't deserve to get caught up in the family's business, it was no place for a sweet girl like her. Someone finally removed the sack over his head, and then two figures, one in black, one in white, addressed him and a large group of similarly situated people surrounded by guards. Their clothing was definitely not from New York, or from anywhere in the modern world, and what the guy in the white was saying made next to no sense. His thoughts were racing, trying to come up with an explanation for all of this nonsense, but nothing came to him. There were no rival families that would have been able to pull this off, and these guys didn't strike him as the 'mob' type.
His eyes danced all over the room, quickly studying the two men before him, as well as those that were also tied up. It was pure instinct to him. After the one in the black untied him, he immediately got up to his feet, turning in a circle to look at the entire room.
"Shut up." Jimmy said to both of the guys that had spoke already. "You lose your head, you die." He took a good long look into both men's eyes. "Neither of you are into my line of work, clearly. And you don't sound like New Yorkers. There's gotta be something similar between us all. Despite being insane, these people seem well organized. They didn't make a mistake in snatching all of us lastnight."
Samantha was still in his head, but now his worries drifted to the Family. Had they been attacked? Raided? Was 'Father' alright. If not, Jimmy swore to himself he'd kill any bastard involved.

Hearing muffles all around him, Farris thought he was still outside the bar he was knocked out at the night before. After Farris' bag was removed he was surprised to see others. He realized he was captured, but at most he assumed he was the only one captured. Seeing the others, he was shocked. He had some enemies in the past who would do anything to get at him, but he didn't even know those who stood in front of him. He had so many questions. Who were they? Why did they capture him? Where are the booze? He wasn't able to speak at all due to some tape being around his mouth.
After surveying the crowd around him, he couldn't understand why all these people were around him. Were they former drug addicts who didn't pay their dues or tried to get into a fight with them like he did with some blury figures last night and lost? The tape was quickly ripped from his mouth and the first word was "FUCK!!" A guard looked him in the eye and Farris spat at him. "Don't you look me in the eye or I will stab you faster than you can blink. Farris, being full untied, reached for his hip, but realised his dagger wasn't at his side. "What? How? Why? Where did you guys take my dagger? No matter, I'm just going to beat you down with my fists anyway."
The guard walked away without a word to an angry and confused Farris. He listened to the announcement from the strange man in the middle. Wondering about what he meant by partners, he set out looking for someone to work with, even if he had no clue who these people were. Who did he want? Guys or girls? Some of those cute girls around him or some of the guys who are asking where their beloveds were? The one person who caught his eye was the guy who fell over in his chair though, and he couldn't understand why.

Irisashi slowly floated through the mire that he used as a brain. The last thing he remember was crashing in his tent.... Wait. He'd been attacked? Yes, he remember now, he'd been knocked out, with a bag over his head. Well, there certainly wasn't a bag over his head now. The blurry room comes into focus, two hooded men approaching him... Or not. There were a lot of people here, what was this? The words cascade through his head, as he only half listens to them. Until something that the man had just said. They all had powers? Interesting. So this was some kind of experimental mutant facility?(He seriously hadn't listened properly....)
He slowly slid off where he was secured, he would've been down earlier if they hadn't taken his knife and picklock away, but they were quite thorough, he had to give them that. The other people that had been taken were reacting violently or dramatically, that was unsuprising. People these days were so fixed on one thing, either that or they couldn't believe that something unusual would happen. Funny things happened every day, and raging or threatening, or anything of the sort for that matter, wasn't how you dealt with it. He was annoyed but carefully hid it under a smile, a smile that looks like he's not got a worry in the world. Irisashi stood up looking at the others, he had to pick a partner. A partner out of this load of ... of average humans. He wanted something different, something unusual. Most people shied away from him for that reason, his interest in the odd, and his interest in jokes and tricks. Even those he called friend weren't immune from his fooling, otherwise people would have tried to suck up to him as a way to escape his jokes.
His face became serene as he slowly gazed about the room, ignoring the guards... Actually, he was acting almost like the guards were an honour. Which was, so far, absolutely the opposite reaction of the usual. They hadn't fooled with his sleeves except to get rid of the picklock and knife, so he was in no trouble yet. He laughed, internally of course, externally he seemed serene and calm, completely in control of the entire situation.

Avrin shook her head as consciousness was gained. Another person was attempting to steal the sister away, what unlucky bastards. It was pretty slick of them to grab her when she just got off stage. She was heading out the back exit before she was grabbed and rendered unconscious. Abductions like this were always highly possible, it was just a matter of timing after all. What sick desires of the kidnapper always changed though. Perhaps this was some overly obsessed fan that wanted her body. Maybe it was a guy wanting revenge for her harsh way of rejecting. It's not like media would cover the disappearance much, because lets face it, dancers are never the hottest topic around. On top of that, Avrin, a girl known for living two lives which not many admired.
As the bag was lifted her eyes grew, both because the dilation of her eyes from the new light, and the make up of the room itself. Her head spun around studying everything as her lips slightly parted from the enjoyment. She faded in and out of the man's words due to her attention being caught elsewhere rather quickly. In the end all she gathered was great assassins, each containing power, and the need to find a partner in twenty minutes. Well, she gathered that, and one other thing. "This guy went all out didn't he!?" She yelled out in a rather cheery tone, one that could probably be held as creepy in this situation. " This guy has guards and everything!" Her head rolled back, looking at the rest of the room as her arms freely dangled. She straightened back up, looking towards the guards her voice slightly dropping as her excitement slowly died. "Maybe it won't be so bad to play along for just a few. With other people in the room in my position, its not a sick individual looking for a good time."
Her head dropped forward, causing the ends of her hair to fall forward as they lazily hung from her headband. It was not time to take things lightly, this guy was probably more dangerous than normal people. They even were talking about great assassins of the universe. So could it be that some of these guys were not actually from Earth or was it some crack pot theory. Either way, alien or drug addict it could only mean a more dangerous situation. With guards she couldn't force her way out, how many may lay behind that door was even more bothering. She took in a deep breathe of air, closing her eyes, there was no further choice but to wait. To think of things thoroughly for now. Let the others in the room stand up and make their moves first, perhaps she could find out the limitations they had on them from simply watching. If death was a possibility, it was wisest to let the others make the first mistakes.

Jo hadn't moved since she was released, sitting in the same uncomfortable chair. Unlike many of the others she had caught the entire explanation, if one could call that an explanation, as to why they were there. Her blue eyes were calmly scanning the room, she checked her pockets. The Ka-Bar knife she kept for protection was gone, but they hadn't touched her lighter. She sighed and pulled it out, lighting it and flicking it shut, over and over, with her right hand. Her left hand taking the hat that had been simply dropped in her lap and placing it on top of her red hair. She wouldn't go anywhere without it... In a way it was nice of them to have let her keep it.
She looked over some of the people that had manifested already. Making threats demanding to be released, or calling each other idiots... Didn't matter Jo was never one to panic or humor others with requests or demands. They had said they had to partner up, trying to escape would most likely get them killed... And... They had powers? What was that about? She frowned, staring quietly at the little yellow flame that came from the lighter in her hand, before flicking it shut. That sounded crazy: Guys in robes talking about elemental powers. Even so... Better to just play along for now. Trying to escape would be stupid, she had no idea where the hell she was in the first place. "Fuck!" she muttered as the lighter failed her completely. The lighter fluid had run out.
She flicked the metal lighter shut and placed it back in the pocket of her jeans, beginning to tap her foot against the floor in a nervous manner. Jo could manage to stay calm through anything... But not without her lighter. "Shit!" She cursed again, turning her eyes at the ceiling, she closed them for a second trying to remember the night before. She was at the bar... She was working as usual, she had gone home, fed her pets, gone to sleep in her clothes as she had done so many times before... Now she was waking up here. What the hell for? She had gotten into trouble in her life, but nothing that would justify this. She had no enemies other than a few drunken idiots she had banned from her establishment...
Jo sighed, feeling herself grow more and more nervous. She tried to from a mental image of the flame she had been staring at in order to calm herself down a little. All of a sudden she jumped to her feet letting out a loud: "Woah!"
A small fire orb had appeared suddenly in her right hand, and then vanished. Jo sat back down, staring at her hand, opening and closing it as if she expected it to have burnt down. She frowned slightly wondering if she was losing it for good this time. She tried to imagine the flames again, this time with a little more focus. Her eyes widened as she watched another little orb of fire appear in her hand, not vanishing this time. She closed her fist around it. It felt slightly warm, nothing more.
A wicked and delighted smile spread across her features as she tossed the little orb in the air and retrieved it in her hand playfully. "Awesome!" She exclaimed, laughing in excitement.

Blurry images swam before Erin's eyes, simply vague shapes that wouldn't take a solid form. She could understand the man that was talking, though his voice was a bit muddled. Then, another man spoke, instructing them they had under half an hour to choose a partner. "Partner?" Erin muttered, suddenly realizing she wasn't alone. There were several other people, all bound to their chair as she was. So, she can scratch off personal attack...but what did they want? Why abduct all these people; what did Erin have in common with them?
As her vision returned to normal, she could clearly see her and the others were in a dim room. They were situated in a sort of circle, the only exit being guarded by two men. Out of habit, she reached for her gun (the men having untied her as well as everyone else). It wasn't there, or any of her equipment at all, excepting the handcuffs.
Erin listened as the others started to yell and panic. What were they doing? Panicking is a huge no, no when in this sort of situation. The police officer recalled last night, tuning out the others. She had been chasing a thief down a dead end alley. When she had cornered him, she pulled out her gun but could do nothing else - he disappeared. Next thing she knew, a rough cloth was placed over her face and she lost consciousness.
A bright light pulled Erin from her thoughts. One of the women suddenly jumped up a ball of...fire? in her hand. Erin stared at her, wide eyed. Had those men been telling the truth? Did they all have similar powers? "Okay...so, were those guys telling the truth?" She asked, her question directed at no one in particular.

Gosse got up from his chair still snarling, "I guess I should thank you for untieing me", he said to one of the guards. Gosse now stood along with everyone else who looked as confused as he did. He rubbed the scratchs that the straps on the chairs gave him, and looked up to see why someone had to scream. He couldnt't believe his eyes, and neither could anyone else in the room, she was throwing around a ball of fire like it was a new toy a child just got.
"Ok, before things get any weirder around here I want to know why we were kidnapped. I mean it's not like I had anything to take, I'm just a drifter. And my bad for getting all crazy earlier I just wasn't thinking straight, and I'm sure none of you were either.", Gosse looked around hoping someone could know what was going on.
He then thought about the partner thing and the powers too. What would become of them if they didn't choose a partner and if they had powers why couldn't he create a ball of fire? Gosse looked down at the scratchs he was rubbing on his wrists, but instead of finding the read streaks on his skin all he found was clean healthy skin. "Ok, things just got a whole lot weirder", Gosse mumbled over his breath.

"Well, 'least I haven't been stabbed... Yet," Kale said. He had been stabbed before. It wasn't the most pleasant experience he could recount. He leaned forward a bit in his chair and looked at the man who had told him to "Shut up" and "Not to lose his head." He had taken offense to that, "Watch it. I'm willin' to you aren't in my line of work neither." He said, not unfriendly but with a stern tone. Kale was a police officer, maybe he still was. He had been up for promotion for Sergeant and was expecting it the next day. Oh, how fate changes. "And I haven't lost my head... It's right here," He said, patting the top of his head with a smart-alleck smirk. He leaned back in his chair and listened as others had begun to come to. Some spoke, some kept silent. Other's swore and others had managed to conjure a fire in her hand.
Kale found that bit interesting and watched the girl soon after her conjured flame was snuffed out. Then watched her as she conjured another red orb. Kale chuckled from his chair and clapped slowly, "Nice trick, lady. Think you can use it to burn our way out?" He said jokingly. He then began to think on what possibly could his power be. He was beginning to remember what the figure was saying, but only in bits and pieces. Powers, Partners, old memories, all of it was fractured and broken. Kale shrugged and swung his feet forward, pulling himself out of the chair. He never was the one to sit for long.
Of course, immediately after his exit from his chair, Kale's legs decided to give away. Perhaps from being unconscious for who knows how long. Instead of making it to his feet, he fell to his knees and hands, "Dammit, I'm an officer, I'd knew that would happen," He cursed. He felt a little light-headed, but that would soon pass. After a few moments, He pushed himself up to a standing position. Now he felt the pain from his hands and knees. He looked at his hand, blood already caking it. It was only a small scratch, but it would still annoy, like all scratches do. He shook his hand and paid it no more attention.
"Alright. So we need a partner? We have powers," He pointed at the fire-orb lady, "Clearly. And we need to do something we don't know about for somebody we know even less about. Well.. That's nice. I'm lovin' my damn options here," Kale said as he began to pace. Never could be still that one, always has to be moving. Though, he did pause about a couple of feet away from the fire-orb lady.
"A partner hmm? Well then, I straight call her," he said, pointing at the girl, "She seems like the only one who knows what she is doing with these 'Powers'," He said, using air quotes for powers. Kale, jumping into the unknown headfirst. He didn't wait to get to know the others or their powers, he didn't even wait to get to know the girl. He just acted. Kale was crazy.

Seeing the fireball from the girls hands excited Farris. Fire was one of his most favorite things in the whole world. Had he have that power too? He focused trying to ignite the fire in his hand, but nothing. He was very depressed at that point. He finally calmed down over the whole guard situation and surveyed all those around him. Even after seeing the fire lady, he didn't want to work with her for some reason. All of his focus seemed to go towards the man whose wounds healed faster than he could swallow a shot. He looked at his own wounds, but they were still fresh and flowing with blood. There he realised everyone had different powers. He was surprised that some were able to bring their's out faster than others, but how? Was that speech able to awaken their powers, had some of them know their entire life and choose to hide it, or are they just gifted?
He heaved a heavy sigh and sat back down in the chair. all he was looking at was the blood spots he had dropped on the floor and his clothes, only some had disappered. He was truely confussed now. Not at one point in his life had he seen blood disapper that fast on any surface so sat there and thought. Was his blood some kind of acid that fed through surfaces. He decided to test out his theory and used his nail to make his finger bleed again. he dropped it on the floor and watched it. To his surprise, it didn't disolve as he had hoped it to, but instead a rat took it's place. As he looked around the room he finally noticed a dozen of rats just scurring around digging into walls. He sat down and whistled and the rats jerked up and scuried over to him. Farris was truely amused by this and said, "Ok rats, I have a job for you. I want you to bite through the legs on the chair, got it?" All the rats quickly ran to the chair and knawed through the legs to the point of the chair falling flat on it's back. Farris knew he had a connection with animals, but not like this. He could actually get them to do whatever he wanted. Then it hit him. How could he not remember. A blood sacrafice along with animals coming out. He was a summoner! Farris said to the rats, just to prove his theory, "Go home now, except you." Ponting at one of the smallest rats of the bunch. All the rats just poofed away except for the one he told to stay. He picked it up and started to pet it. He felt so proud that he wanted to try more, but his mind stopped him because he realised he only had 10 minutes to find a partner.
He went over to the guy who magically healed to ask him. If Farris had to cut himself so summon creatures, he needed someone to cover his wounds, plus the animals if it gets harmed. He was also a guy who just plain gets hurt a lot, so it would be nice for someone to heal him. Farris went up to him and asked, "Hey... um... whats your name? My name is Farris and I want to be your partner for whatever fuckin' mission we are being sent on. In case you didn't notice all the rats running around, I'm a summoner and I'm gonna make the guess that you can heal since you're the only one in the room who doesn't have any cuts or brusies. So, what do you think? We both fight I assume, I have animal sidekicks, and you can heal. Not a bad combo I guess."

Jo suddenly snapped out of her 'fire induced' trance and realized she had drawn a crazy amount of attention to herself. A lot of people were now staring at her as if she knew any more than them, which wasn't really the case. "Oh... Crap." She muttered to herself ignoring the rest and turning to the guy who had openly pointed at her.
She locked her gaze on him, squeezing the little fire orb in her hand. It 'shattered' and faded. She simply stared at the guy for a good minute or two. Then she sighed and mumbled: "Cop." It wasn't a question. She'd been arrested way too many times not to be able to recognize one of those pigs at a distance.
She needed a partner though, and this guy seemed like someone that might turn out useful, for whatever. He said something about having a wife, so he would be motivated to survive... Didn't seem like the worst choice. Although he had acted like an impulsive idiot, and picked out someone who was tossing fire around playfully when any normal human being would be, well... Demanding to be released or telling others to shut up, or acting out in any way.
Her eyes wandered off to a guy playing with a bunch of rats. She chuckled slightly... How cute. She looked at the cop guy again. With her social skills anyone willing to work with her was a keeper. "Jo Rivers." She stated offering the man her hand. "You?" She figured an introduction would be better than scolding the guy for 'calling her' as a partner, even though that was her first instinct right there.

The previous night Rix had been waiting with his team in an empty apartment, in front of the building where, if their informant was reliable, members of a certain terrorist group would meet. Just after two o'clock in the morning, when his guard turn had finally ended, he had fallen asleep fully expecting to be woken up four hours later by one of his team mates, but instead, the next thing he knew, he was waking up with his hands tied behind his back and a blindfold over his face.
He felt dizzy at first, which he suspected was still the effect of the drug they had administered him in order to keep his unconscious, but it didn't take long for his mind to clear and try to asses the situation. He had been captured, that much was obvious, but he did not´know by who or why. Perhaps it had been the anti-government fraction they had been observing, but he sincerely doubted that, for there would have been shooting and that would have woken him up. Though there was always the possibility that there had been a traitor in their team, which made him smile. People really were selfish creatures. And what about the rest? Had they been killed, or captured as well? He was sure he was hearing sounds from around him uncharacteristic for a captor, but...
He sighed. In the end, what does it matter, who is pulling the strings, who dies or who lives? My role still remains one and the same. He played a bit with the rope around his wrists, but it had been tied by a professional and it did not give him time to untie it before two people by the sound of their foot steps entered the room and his hood was removed. He blinked, squinted his bloodshot eyes against the light and quickly looked around. Six guards, thirteen captives beside himself, all tied on chairs positioned in a rough circle and two hooded men in the middle of it all. Both wore cloaks, one white and one black, and both moved with unnatural gracefulness. A few moments later, after locating the danger in the room and any possible escape roots, he allowed himself to take a closer look at the rest of the losers that had gotten caught the way he had. Clearly none of them were known to him and they were all in their prime, but what surprised him the most was their different nationalities. Tourists? They didn't look like ones. And why would those cosplay guys go through all the trouble of bringing together a bunch of seemingly random people? Such a bother...
Shortly, the white cloaked person started speaking. He told them they were assassins with powers who were needed for a quest, which sounded awfully Final Fantasy-like, yet intriguing at the same time. A quest was a mission and as Rix had never particularly cared who his boss was, maybe he could just adapt. Then that same person told them they had twenty minutes to pick a partner, while his companion started undoing the ropes on their hands. When he got to Rix, Rix considered grabbing the guy and either directly breaking his neck or using him as a hostage, but there was no way he could deal with all seven of them and he couldn't count on the bunch of idiots some of which were just waking up, not to mention he didn't know the extend of those men's abilities. They felt... Off, somehow. So he decided to wait and see and when the guy in the black robes had left as well and the guards had repositioned themselves in front of the door, Rix stood up, walked to one of the corners and sat down, his back against the wall. Partner... If I really do need one, let them assign me one. That thought surprised him, for even though this all felt strangely natural to him, he just realized he had already decided to do what that old man wanted. It might prove to be... Fun.
He watched with disinterest out of the corner of his eye how the rest made fools out of themselves. Some demanded to know where their loved ones were, which was incredibly stupid, because they either already had that guy's wife, in which case the best he could do was keep quiet, or he just gave them a tool to use against him. Others fidgeted nervously, or tried to act as if they were in control of the situation. There were even those who already started playing the game, but nothing caught his attention until a ball of fire suddenly came into existence above the palm of a pretty red haired girl. he blinked once, then twice. Elemental powers, eh? He mused. it sounded ridiculous, but he knew it was true, it felt like he had always known, but had forgotten. He watched the girl play with her fire, the others staring as if seing Nessy, and a wolfish smile spread on his face. This was the first time in years that something worth experiencing was actually happening.

Jimmy looked around at the others, the guy who had seemed to heal himself, the guy who had made rats out of his blood, and the girl who had been playing with a ball of fire until a moment ago. "Okay. Everybody done ranting about how they got here and how they're the wrong guy?" He looked over at the girl who had just gotten up, asking if it was all true. "I would guess so, there's no clear motivation for all of us to be here together. I can tell some of you are cops. And I'm usually on the other side, so... Either I partied too hard lastnight, or this is all on the level."
All the people that had figured out their 'powers' were already teamed up, so he walked closer to the girl next to him. He quickly surveyed her, his eyes flitting up and down her body, he had also noted how she immediately reached for a gun that wasn't there, good instincts, good body, and she seemed to be in good shape. Jimmy smiled a little bit on one side of his mouth, then said, "Okay, miss. Best to snatch a partner up now, right? I'm pretty handy with a gun, even though they seem to have taken mine too," He glanced down to where he had seen her reach for her's a moment ago, "My names James Linch, call me Jimmy, I push buttons for a certain New York 'Family.' Clearly, to you, we're on opposite sides of the moral compass, but I'm really not too bad a guy." The smile spread genuinely across his mouth, "So wanna partner up?"

(Akk can be found on the Data base hero ally sheets)
A small set of gray eyes watched from a corner. The eyes switched from captive to captive as he grinned at their reactions. Typical. Tying to act tough, as if they could even lay a finger on one of them. It seemed a girl had already discovered her element, fire. Tossing the orb into the air and catching it with delight. Akk unsheathed his scimitar and stared at the blade. "The years I have awaited for this moment." Akk whispered to himself, his tail twitching. "It has finally come. It is my duty to help these assassins in any way possible." His low voice was echoing to himself.
Instantly he vanished and appeared back in the middle of the floor, in view of all of the assassins. "Assassins!" The imp yelled, twirling his scimitar. He teleported onto Avrin's shoulder and his long skinny tongue, swept her ear, wet. The imp quickly teleported again on the ceiling. His nails dug into the structure, gripping him. Akk let out a chuckle as he stared down at them all.
Sir Boone walked into the room, his eyes fixing onto the guests. He wore studded leather vest, followed with torn hunting trousers. His hands were covered with leather gloves. He had a cape that flapped against his heels every time he walked. His eyes were pale with thin lips. The average nose and light brown hair. His hair was thing and straight. It wasn't to long nor short. It reached his eyebrows and to the middle of his ears on the side. As for the back it reach right above the middle spot on his neck.
Sir Boone walked up to the assassins, but saw Akk appear in the middle of the floor. Boone frowned as he teleported and licked the girls ear. Boone gave smirked as Akk did so. Boone unsheathed his bow, that was at his side and pulled an arrow from his quiver on his back. Wielding the arrow onto the bow he fired it up onto the ceiling. The arrow struck right beside Akk's head. Akk frowned as his eyes slowly turned to the feathers on the shot. "Missed!" Akk called from above. Boone smiled. "If I were to hit you, I would have done so!" Sir Boone exclaimed, walking up to the assassins. "Ladies and gentlemen, I am Sir Boone. I am an expertise archer, practicing the art for 14 years now. I give you my service." Boone said with a humble bow.

Gosse was still looking at his hands as if they had blown up, and was totally oblivious to anything else around him. He was the only one here who did not have any damage now. Everyone seemed to be still conversing with each other and actually getting partners like the guy said we had to. Gosse missed the act with the blood and the rats, so when Farris came up to him he looked up real quick like waking up from a nightmare. "Oh... hey... wow this is all kind of weird. Oi, my head hurts. So, yeah my name in Gosse and sorry I didn't see the summoning you did, think you could do it again? Well I guess I am a healer. Kind of lame if you ask me, but oh well. So, you want me to heal you I guess?", he laughed at the last remark.
Just then another strange figure started popping everywhere including on a lady's shoulder and licking her ear. Gosse had to smile at that, and after he was done moving around another figure came in with a bow and arrow saying that he would help us at all cost. "So yeah, Boone, think you could get me a glass of water. I'm kind of thirsty", Gosse laughed at his joke.

Erin watched as even more people came to and began to speak. They all looked normal enough, so why were they chosen? What made them special - could it really have been at random? Erin sighed as a man approached her, explaining his want to be partners. This partnering up stuff was not her favorite. She'd never been too good with people; was never able to really connect with anyone. Then again, it's not like she really tried.
Her first thought was No way am I teaming up with a scum bag like him. However, Erin didn't feel like going around and talking to everyone to choose a partner. And plus, with his chosen profession, he would obviously know his way around a gun and would be able to fight. Not to mention quick reflexes. Heck, he'd make a great cop.
"Yeah, I guess." Erin told him, running a hand through her hair. Before either of them could say anything more, another person made themselves known. Wait, no, he wasn't a person. What was he? He was in the middle of the room when he called out "Assassins!" but then disappeared. Then, he was on some girl's shoulder and lastly, the roof. If creepy was a person, that's what he would look like, Erin decided.
Another person (yep, he's a person) walked in, sporting a bow and a quiver of arrows. What's with these people and their clothing and choice of weapons? After a short interaction with the 'thing', he introduced himself as Sir Boone - an expert archer. "Service, huh?" Erin asked. "Mind telling us exactly what's going on?"

He heard the girl mutter cop, but he paid it no mind. It was, after all, what he was. An officer, a protector of peace, and a man who enjoys running down dirt bags. His eyes followed the girls, right to the fellow surrounded by rats. A rat power it seemed. That, that caught Kale off balance. Not often you see a man playing with rats. Or controlling the. Summoning them either, for that matter. He cocked his head curiously, but shook it off like most things. Things were so strange, that they were well-passed surreal and into bat-shit insane. And Kale was along for the ride.
He then noticed the woman, now identified as Jo Rivers had extended a hand in greeting, Kale quickly answered with his own hand in a firm handshake. "My name is Kale Jenson. Officer Kale Jenson, but you seemed to already gathered that," He said with his signature smirk. He began to open his mouth to speak more words, but before he had the chance, he was cut off by some gremlin or something teleporting around the room. At the point, Kale ceased to be surprised and just let it happen. It teleported to another girl's shoulder and licked her eye. Kale responded with a disgusted grimace and a shiver. After that bit of fun, the gremlin teleported back to the ceiling and stayed. This was when Kale noticed the scimitar the creature carried.
Acting on instinct, he planted his feet and stood in front of Jo protectively. On instinct. The matter of the fact was that the woman looked like she could handle herself and Kale both. But it was the instinct of both a man and an officer, to protect the lady. Chivalry, it seemed, was not dead.
By this time, the door opened behind him. A man walked in with what seemed to be a bow. As he unsheathed said bow, Kale spun around Jo. This time, his movements were faster than a normal human's. In a flash, he was on the opposite side of Jo, with her back to him. Even Kale himself was surprised at the quickness he was able to do that though he did not let the surprise get in the way of cautiousness. He watched the man as he strung the bow and fired a warning shot above them. Kale lowered in order to move at a moments notice, but a voice stopped him. It was that of the gremlin's. It seemed as if the shot was a warning to the gremlin and the man was now bowing in front of them.
Kale straightened up and watched the man bow with a queer eye.
"Well... That's... different." He stated simply.

He could tell immediately the cop-lady didn't like him much, but it was better he be honest about his 'profession' rather than lie to her. Things obviously wouldn't work out then. He tried to make eye contact with her, to see just how much she despised him for what he had said, but then some wierd little humanoid appeared in the middle of the room, yelled 'Assassins!' and then poofed onto a girl's shoulder and licked her. Jimmy laughed delightedly at that, his long hair falling forward over his eyes. And then some noble-looking dude with a bow came through the door and addressed them and shot at the poor little guy, but he could tell they were acquianted, if not even friendly.
"Yeah, I'd appreciate if you could clarify on, well... anything." Jimmy said to the bowman in the middle of the room, shooting a confused look at the little creature on the ceiling. "Those two hooded guys, they said something about how we've all been here before. I've lived on the streets of New York all my life, and seriously? -- A bow?"
Jimmy looked at it with a raised eyebrow. What century are these people from? And when am I gonna get my guns back for my 'mission'? He wondered, but he refrained from speaking his mind.

Farris looked toward the center of the room as the archer was talking. "So I have some questions for you... Boone was it? Why is it we all have amazing powers and others don't? Are we able to do more than we've already seen? And God dammit, where can a fella get a drink around here!?! I need something to ease myself into this. I'll wait for an answer." Looking up at the imp on the cealing, his back shivering, he returned his attention to Gosse.
"Soooooooooo... Gosse, I can show you right now I guess. I want to see if I can summon something else besides rats." Farris prodded the palm of his hand again and let the blood go to the ground. He said, "Dog." All that came out was another rat. Farris sighed and put the rat he was holding down onto the floor to play with the newly summoned rat. "Guess I can only summon rats then. I can work with that... I guess." Farris muttered to himself now, "Fuck me man, I thought I could summon cool ass creatures, but all i can do is rats." Speaking back to Gosse again, he said. "Hey, why should we restrict to just talking to each other. Lets meet the others that we have to work with around here."
He looked away from Gosse and went over to Jo and Kale seeing how they already seemed to form a partnership. "Hey, Jo and Kale right?" pointing at the two when saying their names. "Im Farris and right there is Gosse. Some wierd shit going on I say, right? Anyway, I want to get to know everyone around here if I'm forced to work with them, so can I hear a little about all 3 of your's lives? Here I'll start."
"I was born in San Francisco and my parents abandoned me at an early age. I got into a bad crowd at school and they took my entire life and threw it into the gutter. I got into drugs and cut school often, plus I burned thigns often. Eventually, I left those guys and have been off drugs for about a year and a half now, but I still am a pyro." Farris gave a jealous look to Jo along with a happy smirk :) with his tounge poking out :p. "Unfortuntely, I wasn't able to get a good job, so I started to break into people's homes. One day, while the owner was out I snuck into his home and attempted to rob it. He had so many pets though that I couldn't get anywhere near his valuables without having them attack me. So I came in though and they all awoke, but not with anger, but with happiness and I couldn't get anywhere in his house since they loved me so much. Eventually the owner came home and I was scared, but he said that his pets were never friendly to anyone, not even him. So he offered me a job working in his pet store to train angry pets into happy pets." Farris took a gasp because he got too into his story and forgot to breathe. "Anyway, last night I was in a bar, takiing shots with my co-workers when some people came wearing cloaks saying they wanted me to come with them. I was too drunk at the time that I said I wanted to fight them at the back of the bar right there and then. Of course, I lost and don't remember anything after losing the fight."
"So how bout you guys?"

Afra felt her head throb slightly with a headache that was almost done. She winced and opened her eyes, seeing a soft material in front of her vision. She frowned slightly, noticing how warm her face seemed to be and it only took her a moment to realize that there was cloth bag over her head. Her mind started to swirl with different possibilities as to why she would be tied up but none seemed to make any sense. At first she thought it was a drug dealer looking for past debts but it didn't take long for her to remember that she had stopped that long ago and had paid all of them off. She couldn't remember really doing anything really bad that would cause her to be tied up.
Her breath caught in her throat when she felt the bag being taken off of her head and listened to the proceeding events. Powers? It was such an odd concept to wrap her mind around and somehow she had a hard time believing it. But then again, she didn't want to think much about it until she had time to converse with the other people sitting on their chairs too. She looked around, noticing it was a rather large number of people, knowing that it couldn't have been something entirely bad. . . after all so many people called for quite an amount of suspicion in the outside. Well, that was if they were all from the same area, which she was assuming they were.
She was eventually untied from the chair and she nodded at the guard curtly, not wanting to seem disrespectful and anger them or something. She stood up and stretched her limbs a bit, trying to get the ache out of them. She watched the events unfold around her, quite a few people teaming up already. She looked around the room and shrugged, she didn't think she would mind being with any of them; they all seemed relatively nice.
She shook her head, surprised at herself for being serious for once. It was an odd occurrence for her, she wasn't one for the heavier things. She would much rather joke around with someone else instead of having to sit back and think seriously about something. But then again, this wasn't exactly the situation she could shrug off and joke about. She eyed the people standing around, noticing that most of them had the same confused face as she was wearing. It shocked her a bit that most of their faces contained traces of anger and she suddenly got a bit worried that she was around violent people.
She sighed, trying to stop the unusual train of thoughts going through her mind. She jumped a bit when she noticed a small amount of flames on some girls hand and she jumped back, afraid that she somehow got lit on fire before she noticed that the girl was controlling the flame . . . odd. So maybe the guy was telling the truth and they really were all assassins. And apparently being an assassin also granted them some power, which wasn't exactly bad. She felt her face split into a grin before she looked around the room once more.
A few more things happened but Afra wasn't quite paying attention and she practically missed the whole scene play out in front of her with the weird creature and the archer and she just shook her head slightly. By now she had decided not to question the things as they progressed and just go along with them. And then again . . . she still needed to find a partner if she were to survive this thing.
She walked off of the wall a bit so people would be able to hear her voice, not that the room was quite large anyways. "Hey, name's Afra. Pleasure to meet all of you," She said with a grin on her face, suddenly happy that she was stuck in a situation with nice looking people. It always could have been worse.

Rix was glad to find that his medallion had not been taken away along with his weaponry, and he played with it, opening and closing it repeatedly, while he watched the strange scene unfold. Just when everyone was getting all cozy and friendly, a small gray creature appeared and started teleporting all around the place, jumping from one person to another and generally, causing mischief. It licked one of the girl's ears, disappeared and reappeared again on the ceiling at the exact moment another person made his way inside. But instead of the expected lean, cloaked man, the one who came in was of a larger build, had a bow in his hands and didn't seem to give off that air of superiority. He shot at the demon, for that was the best word to describe it, but it was clearly made in good humor, then introduced himself as 'Sir' Boone, an excellent archer. Rix wasn't sure who exactly that guy was and how he was related to this whole story, but he was clearly not in their predicament, which of course, made him a target for questions. The first one was a pathetic attempt at a joke, but next, the obvious "explain things" were shot at him.
Rix quickly lost interest in the archer. He wasn't in charge here and if anyone was going to do any explaining, it was going to be one of those who were indeed in charge. Rix closed the pendant for the umpteenth time and tossed it with his right hand, before catching it with his left, then repeating the process. It was about when that mafia guy made fun of Boone, that the medallion, instead of making an arch above his head, shot upward and hit the ceiling with incredible speed. Fuck. Was all he thought as he stood and moved to seize it before it fell. He inspected it for damage and relieved it was minimal, put it inside a pocket. This was the only thing he couldn't bear losing.
Had it been telekinesis that had made it lift like that, or simple air pressure? And did it matter anyway? Yes, he decided. He could also do something out of the ordinary, but that didn't mean he had to be satisfied or that he understood it at all. Knowing your strength prevents it from becoming a weakness. Now is not the time though. He saved the information in his head and decided to experiment more later, when he had some time alone. He hoped no one had noticed.
He started toward the opposite side of the room, moving close to the wall, circling his future allies, observing them. He moved close to where the guy who had summoned the rats and his partner were trying to make a conversation with the red head and that mafia guy. Farris was asking them to tell him about their lives.
Rix chuckled and stopped. "What makes you think they want to? And do you really think that information will do you any good?"
He moved on and was trying to calculate how much of the promised twenty minutes had passed, when his thoughts were interrupted by a pleasant to the ears voice announcing her name. It was random and kind of out of no where. Afra? It sounded exotic and as he looked at the source of the voice, so was she. With her pale skin and dark hair, her beautiful face and her petite size, she was someone Rix didn't mind teaming up with. I am getting too much into this. What's wrong with me? He wondered as he moved in her direction.
With a sigh, he sat on the floor once again, some five or six feet from her, his back toward the wall, and asked. "And what makes you so happy, Afra?"

While he was turned away from her, Erin studied her new partner. He had longish black hair that hung around his eyes - he'd already shook the strands out of his face more than once. He looked to be thin, but with toned muscles. All around, he wasn't a bad looking guy. Don't judge a book by its cover, though. He'd already said they were on opposite ends of the moral compass. He's probably the sort of guy she'd be putting behind bars right about now if she'd hadn't been knocked out a dragged here.
A woman that had been quiet this whole time walked over to one of the walls and introduced herself as Afra. "I'm Erin." She said, a bit awkwardly. Introductions weren't her strong point, especially in this circumstance.

Flint had fallen asleep in the lab for the fourth time this week, but he was so close to reaching bellow absolute zero degrees Kelvin. Still no luck and some how he had ended up snoring in the middle of his calculations. He stirred a bit feeling it was warmer, almost tropical to him, had somebody changed the temperature again, he knew he always kept it too low but he liked the freezing temperatures. Opening his eyes he almost fell out of his chair, this wasn't his father's lab, but he didn't make a sound he curiously looked around at the others he had missed all the announcements all the talk before hand, being such a heavy sleeper could leave you out of the loop in situations like these.
He was confused and just wanted to be back in the cold working on his project, looking up at the ceiling he saw a strange man hanging like a monkey and a man with a bow had recently entered the room, everyone seemed to be questioning him. Flint only blankly stared at the archer, so what if he had 14 years of practice, Flint had become quite skilled as an archer during an experiment involving the arctic temperatures effect on the velocity of objects moving through air, he would shoot thousands of arrows a day competing against an arrow shooting machine in an attempt to get accurate results. He could probably out shoot Boone any day.
Flint looked to his right and saw a girl was still sleeping in a chair next to him. He poked her gently with a frosty touch, glancing down at his hand he noticed it was frosted over and unnaturally cold. "Are you awake?" he muttered quietly to the girl and pulled his sleeve over his hand which was still in a frozen state. He didn't know what was going on but wasn't about to ask questions, just observe like he would any experiment, because by the looks of things there were guards observing them and they seemed to be the lab rats.

I just want to say that this RP was epic. My life just totally went through a whirl wind, and didn't have a second to spare on this site. :(
Re: [OOC] Assassins of The Shards
I pay my respects to this fallen RP. This was my first, and probably the funnest one I have done to date.

Re: [OOC] Assassins of The Shards
Sorry guys. /: I had a whole lot of stuff go down this week. I literally had no time to post whatsoever. If we're still going to finish though, I'll post later today. :) Right now I gotta finish a college assignment that's due tomorrow...

Re: [OOC] Assassins of The Shards

Re: [OOC] Assassins of The Shards

Re: [OOC] Assassins of The Shards
I don't know where Tim and Sorence disappeared to. o-o I'm sure they'll be back soon enough, though. :)
Re: [OOC] Assassins of The Shards
Ok everyone, go ahead and get together and get ready cause Hinasil is going to take over Damaco for the first boss fight of the roleplay! I am kinda excited. :P
Re: [OOC] Assassins of The Shards
Well thanks a lot i90 (that's you iowa90, it just makes it sound like you're an interstate) I was working on something really good but now that you posted for me I guess it doesn't matter. Thanks for that though, I was having writers block for a few days and I was catching up and trying to keep up with everything else but this just puts me one step closer. Don't worry I will be taking control from now on until further notice.
Re: [OOC] Assassins of The Shards
Thanks, I'd like to live :p. I'm gonna let Timmay post first, since we have sort of focused around him at the moment
Re: [OOC] Assassins of The Shards
Okay, I edited my post. 'Cause I'm thinking it would be unrealistic for Farris to live much longer. ;)
Re: [OOC] Assassins of The Shards
Thanks, I think thats how Timmay would make it sound.
Please don't do anything for them until they save Farris... I don't think he is happy being trapped down there with a sword to his neck.

Re: [OOC] Assassins of The Shards
Finally - someone who agrees with me! People make fun of me when they learn that I'm afraid of them. I have issues when I can't see a person's face, meaning I hate masks, face paint and costumes in general. But clowns just scare me to no end. :P
Oh, gosh. This shadow thing is so jacked up. But I like it, it adds to the role play. :)
