An undeniably skilled airbender, this youth never quite meshed with the monk culture, and has been in exile for the last 3 years. His status as a descendant of Aang has granted him leeway in the world.
Age:
19
Gender:
Male
Nation/Element:
Air
Side:
Neutral
Personality:
Zhen is a wild and rebellious youth. He never cared for the calm structure of the Air Nomads, constantly seeking adventure and excitement. His insatiable curiosity and adventurous nature got him in trouble with the monks time, and time again, and his status prevented anything truly bad from happening time and time again. This, along with his natural prowess in bending gave him a sense of entitlement growing up, and he is a bit of a cocky, hot headed, and arrogant teen because of this. However, he is a good hearted person beneath the bluster, and while not the typical air monk, does believe in and spread harmony in his own way.
Brief Biography:
Zhen Yun grew up in the Southern Air Temple, where expectations for him were always set high as the descendant of the great Avatar Aang. While he enjoyed learning airbending, and playing with his fellow students, life was always a little to calm and complacent for the adventurous youth. He quickly became known as a troublemaker, often getting other students involved in his schemes, and escapades. Despite this, he was also a star pupil, naturally skilled in airbending, a true descendant of Aang they said. This duality lead Zhen to believe he could get away with anything.
This was proved to be a foolish belief shortly before he could be given a master's tattoos, when it was discoverd that he had been growing marijuanna crops on the lower slops of the mountain. Enraged, the monks declared this to be the last straw, and exiled Zhen until such a time that he could prove to have matured. Zhen spent the next three years sailing the skies in an airship aquired with family wealth and connections. While he has enjoyed these years tremendously, Zhen has never forget where he came from, or his heritage, or the shame he endured with exile, and yearns to prove himself one day, and recieve his master tattoos.
Appearance:
Zhen is a lean and wiry yet muscled youth, standing at 5'10". He has let his hair grow out, shoulder length and dirty blonde, and keeps it tied back in a leather thong. He wears a dark red bandana around his head, a white shirt, unbuttoned to the chest, with several necklaces around his neck, charms on leather thongs and rope. Over this he wears a black sleeveless robe that hangs to his knees, and is slit in the back to the waist for movement. He wears black pants, with a dark red sash at his waist, and no shoes. He has a stylistic arrow outline, shaped more like a spade, tattooed on the back of his right hand as a constant reminder.
Other:
He carries a deck of playing cards that he often uses as throwing stars, encasing them in wind as he hurls them, so that they can bury themselves into even wood and stone. He also carries a monk's umbralla, which he commonly uses as a means of gliding when escaping from heights, and in conjunction with his airbending for combat. He calls his airship simply Zhou.
