Introduction
lMom? Why aren't I allowed to see the sun? Its so beautifu
The women stared into the open air, a worried look plasterd on her aging face.
Honey, this is just the way things are and we can't do anything about it
She continued staring and waited silently for something to happen. The air was dry and dusty as faint moonlight shone through the broken window. The sky spoke words of wisdom wispering in the ears of a child. Telling her to read the journal that lay open on a crooked table.
I remember when I was a teenager. It was the first of may 2015, the first year that "Creatures" became known and welcomed into our world. That was the best thing that could ever happen, or so I thought. I always knew that they were real. When I had been introduced to my first Creature I was surpirsed. In my mind I thought that they were pale with dark hair and red eyes, but this one wasn't. He had bright copper skin, green eyes and red hair that hung down to the middle of his back. I guess he could see the surprise in my expression, because he began explaining to me what It ment to be a creature. He said that it was to be different from a human, to have special qualities that people believed were only in fiction. His voice sounded so beatiful, so seductive while he spoke. From them on I knew I was in love, and so did he.
Those were the good days, when humans weren't envious, when they weren't thirsty for power. They became jealous of the powers that many of the creatures held. They believed that they could harm them if no one took action. They created technology that could torture and drain the powers of creatures. They were told to leave and never come back. The shunning started in the east, but eventually spread across that world. Huger for power grew, and defense began to fade away. Now the creatures have nowhere to go, and nothing to do but hide from the daylight that they are no longer allowed to walk in.

OOC Notes
I turned and looked around into the shadowy night. It seemed like no one was there. Then I heard very quiet footsteps to my left, and saw a dark, looming figure near the wall.
OOC Notes
"Psst". She turned around with a look of curiosity. I didn't know what to say to her, but I could tell that she was intense.
"What is you'r name young lady?"
OOC Notes
"S-sorry, I have to go." My next step was the worst one I had taken. I tried to turn passed the voice, and felt the shadows pulling me in with the aroma so sweet, so dangerous. Who cared about milk? "Kamirah," I said. I stepped up to the shadows, fearless, and I could feel my adrenaline pulsing harder than my own blood. I was shaking because of it.
I breathed in, and looked around, and then I saw them. A big, bright pair of eyes, staring deadly into my own.
In the back of my head, I knew it would be the last step that I would ever take.
OOC Notes
She stood quietly, still vexed by my glowing amber eyes. I let the cold breath escape from my lips and create a white cloud that slid into the warm summer air. Her eyes opened wider. Ideas ran through my head of what I could do in this situation. She looked as if she knew something about me was different. But her mind was blank and I could not tell if she was sincere.
"I'll tell you what", I whispered as I felt through my pocket for a silver coin.
"I will flip this coin. If it says heads I'll let you go. If it says tails...You'll have to come with me".
OOC Notes
I waited for the stranger to talk again, to hear their voice. I almost smiled as I stepped closer to the stranger, to their perfect aroma and enticing breath. I waited for them to breath on me angrily, letting the cool air from their mouth waste away in my own personal space.
OOC Notes
"Cross your fingers, Kimirah...."

OOC Notes
I shook the thought out of my head. This girl could tell that I was thinking deeply. Her eyes widened as the moon suddenly decided to come out from behind the dust-colored clouds. I could see the silver reflection, and for a second I could see into her mind. "I must know her name, She doesn't seem human"
The moon slipped back behind into the shadows, and Kimirah's mind once again became a blur.
"I tell you my name, If you can answer one question for me". I stared at her intensely and I could feel my eyes shifting to a dark purple.
OOC Notes
I know I should have been screaming "RUN" in my head, but it never came. I should have been scared out of my wits, nauseated or trembling. I igured I should have been ainting. I didn't know who she was, nevertheless, what she was. I waited for mysel to become frightened, but it never happened. Other than a slight shaking from the adrenaline, I was perfectly relaxed.
"That depends on what you ask," I said.
OOC Notes
She nodded. I took her hand and kissed it. Immediatly her face began to glow pink. At least my ability to seduce still worked on her. The night was slowly fading away, and the clouds were taking on a golden hue. How much time had really passed? I had to get an answer out of her as soon as possible.
"Now tell me...What do you think I am?"
OOC Notes
Yet time didn't matter to me, even though the earth had been feeling its way into the sun's twelve-hour pocket.
I didn't notice anything much around us except that her eyes had flickered up, then she quickly asked me a question. My body felt limp and useless. I was just standing there. My vision was much better, I was beginning to see the curves and outline of her lengthy, pale body. Veela, I thought immediately, referring back to Harry Potter. I almost scoffed at myself for being an idiot. She was something, no doubt, so I took my guess a little further than that.
"We should go," I exhaled, "before the sun hits."
We would have to leave this spot sooner or later, and I decided she would be the one to lead me. Her gaze was returned in mine softly. "Do you agree?"
OOC Notes
"We're almost there". My words echoed in the warm moist air. It truely was a beautiful morning.
We headed up an unbelievably steep hill, with sharp rocks and thorns. The girl behind began to stumble, and I took her by the hand. Guiding her way. My house seemed so small at one point, but now became a massive structure. It was a mansion. Well kept, but empty and desserted. Kimirah walked up to it with an extreme look of awe on her face. I stood beside her and looked at her with a slight smile.
"We have arrived"
OOC Notes
I was consumed by our hike. It was as if I was talking with a friend I hadn't seen in years. Someone that I had missed, had been looking for.
We finally reached the top, me sweaty and partially bloody. I looked at her, then I looked the direction she was looking. A large, beautiful, stone mansion was sprawled out in front of me on the soft lushious grass. Flowers and buds were all around and seemed to be blooming as I looked at them. My musles twitched and I reached for her wrist. I looked at her, suprised that I had gotten perfect aim at her wrist, but marveled that she took a petty human to a wonderland like this. I begged her with my eyes to take me there.
OOC Notes
"This is my home"
I opened the door gentally. This place was very old and I didn't want to harm its beautiful features. I took the long black cloak off of my body, revealing a red hunters suit. I ripped a sheathed dagger off of my tool belt and handed it to the girl. She looked at it with pure amazement. Her hand slide across the handle and pulled the sharp blade from its covering. The dagger was plated with silver and embroidered with emeralds. Her eyes opened amazingly wide, taking on a green hue from the jewels.
"I couldn't". She attempted to hand the expensive equipment back to me, but I rejected it.
"It's yours now"
OOC Notes
The towns weaponry was worth nothing compared to this. It had to have been ancient and redefined. She took good care of it. I handed it back to her, but she refused it. I took my eyes off of the dagger and glanced into her own eyes. She shook her head and puched the dagger back towards me gently. I nodded.
A thought popped into my head and I smiled. "You know, you still haven't told me your name yet."
OOC Notes
"My name is Aryana, Aryana Myth". I turned my back to her and walked toward the old sofa. I sat and crossed my legs, keeping a steady gaze on my 'new friend'.
"Call me Myth" My hand automatically gestured for her to sit in the chair beside me, although I haven't had guests for years. She walked over cautiously, but I could see that her eyes were full of wonder. She sat on the chair and quickly and shifted her eyes to a book resting on the lamp desk.
"You want to know what that is....dont you?" She nodded with excitement.
"Well I'm afraid I can't tell you"
OOC Notes
I turned back at Aryana, though not exactly looking in her eyes, with a thought twisting inside my head. "Will you tell me eventually?" I asked.
My gut twinged, I thought of my brother, probably worried sick about me. I would deal with that situation later. If this really was my home...I closed my eyes, breathing in the current honesty, and exhaling with uncontrolled belief and faith in Aryana.
My stomach growled loudy in the silence. "Shut up," I muttered. Aryana paid more attention to my stomach than my question.
OOC Notes
"enjoy" She daintilly tore a small peice from the loaf, and began eating. I smiled.
We sat there is silence for while, while she ate. Her eyes glittered with satifaction. She finnished chewing the last bit of the craisn bread, and lifted her gase to mine.
"So....When will you ever tell me". I thought she forgot about the question! This girl was smart, and a little bit manipulative. I began to like her even more. However, I still had some tricks up my sleeve.
"How long have you been away from your brother....Kimirah....He must be worried about you".
OOC Notes
"So...When will you tell me," I asked, sounding politely curious, as I finished the last bite and looked into her purple eyes. I didn't find anything about her--about this--weird. I had forgotten she was a complete stranger.
She doged my question and asked about Leorn. "A little while," I admitted. "I know he is, or that he will be." I tried not to sound as worried as I felt. Fret was amongst me though, and she sensed it. It wasn't un-obvious. She left the room again, and returned this time with a thick paper that felt like a paper poster, a quill, and a small pot of ink. I was more amazed than anything else. Writng a letter, how original.
Aryana would absolutely kill me if I spilled the ink.
OOC Notes
"Kimirah right a letter to your brother, It may be a while before you see him again."
OOC Notes
Dear Leo, I wrote,
Thank you for raising me the way Mom and Dad couldn't have raised us. This isn't goodbye, it is just temporary. I understand that you are worried, and possibly are looking for me. I have set off on my own adventures, the way we always dreamed. Sorry if this confuses you, and that you couldn't come with. I'll be fine, quit worrying.
Love you, miss you, and talk to you later,
Kamirah.
I almost put 'see you later' but thought I had better not lie to myself, or him. I looked back at Aryana almost expectantly. Questioning whether she would really send the letter to him or not. I thought better of my trust, and gave her the letter and the rest of the supplies, not spilling a drop of ink on the carpet.
OOC Notes
"You will have to stay here for the night, Your room is three doors down from the top of the stairway". I pointed towards the spiraling staircase that led to a dark floor. She looked terrified, but was probably trying to hind that from me. As she started walking up the stairs, I turned on the electric light that brightest the second floor. Thank god for technology.
While she was in her room I was pulling together some supplies and food for the trip. It was difficult to find clothing that might fit her at all. However, I continued packing for the both of us. When I was finnished I went to my room on the third floor. It was a long day, and rest was the thing that Kimirah and I needed the most. She was in for a big surprise that following morning.
OOC Notes
The dresser was straight across from me and a small jack-and-jill bathroom led to the next room. I left my curiosity there, and went back into my own little space. The curtains near the window were a dark shade of green, and the carpet a light sandy shade. It looked like a forest. The only light illuminating the room were candles that seemed to have been lit before I entered the room. Strange was beyond my vocabulary at this point.
I looked at a couple of book names on the shelf before I picked one out to read. It was called "Legends and Urban Myths of the Damned" by Ursyla Patterson.
OOC Notes
We walked out of the door, where the morning greeted us. It was so beautiful, but this was the first time I could really feel its warmth. Kimirah smiled, and I began to regret this day even more.
"Lets go, before the sun is centered in the sky." She grabbed the bag of supplies I gave her and slung it over her shoulder. I noticed a small red book, and the feeling of sorrow filled my heart. The prophecy Is still in effect.
OOC Notes
I didn't say anything yet, and continued to walk beside her as we set out through the doors. The sun poured over the grass and the trees creating a flowing golden sea and lining. I looked at Aryana, admiring the beauty I was incapable of supplying.
We began our walk at a quick pace, me with my bag slung over my shoulder, and holding the little red book I had fallen asleep with tightly in my hand. I continued to read it sometimes during the walk. Recovering from where I left off. The odd thing about the book was that it wasn't printed, it was handwritten. Every sort of damned creature I could think of was included, alphabetized, with little notes poring from the sides.
I kept Aryana's first question in mind about believing in 'creatures.' I'm not sure what I said that night, it was all rather a blur in my head. If I had to answer it honestly today, at this very moment, I would say yes. We journeyed further.
