Rei Zu Vulfenstein paced around a bit, the cool air of his very out-of-the-way residence felt refreshing on his skin. At about 500, Rei was an elder Vampire, and a powerful one at that, so he was able to make extended journeys into the sun, but like all vampires, he simply couldn't stand heat. Thankfully, he was a powerful magic user. His entire house--which was a tiny stone cottage in the middle of a small wood near the castle--had a spell cast on it so it was constantly nice and cold, as well as the area around it. He opened the door and walked outside, glancing around at the nature around him. He held out a palm, and a colourful butterfly landed on it.
Ah, what a beautiful creature...
Then he pressed his palm to his fingers, and crushed it. With a sigh, he brushed his hands off and walked back into the cottage. He was intensely bored--he had been all his life. In fact, that was the only reason an Elder Vampire like himself had taken up with someone like Alan Pericoloso--he simply had nothing else to do. He could care less about the throne or political power.
Ah, poor boy,he thought of Alan. Desiring power so much. Well, I'll help him while it makes for a bit of fun. And as long as there is some pain for me to cause.
However, now, all he had to do was await Alan's call.
