Rei walked past Theris, almost seeming to ignore him. Then he turned back and glared directly at Theris.
"Do not attempt to command me, Theris Nyavar," he murmured, using a word of an ancient and longforgotten language. "You will find that neither you, nor anyone else, can hope to control me. As for manners, you have thus far demonstrated a pitiful lack thereof. I care not to whom you speak. I will do as I like. Attempt to stop me at your own peril."
His eyes flashed crimson again, and then returned to their empty gaze. Rei walked past Alan and Bella, glancing around, taking in the details of the castle.
"Nice little castle..." he muttered, slipping his hands into the pockets of his coat. "And within the princess sleeps serenely and undisturbed...well, I suppose that will not last long."
