Introduction
History:
Once upon a time there was a magical world called Aires. It was a peaceful world, untouched by the modern human. It was in fact the perfect dream land for little girls who believed in unicorns and fairies. Even boys couldn’t help but gawk at the flock of phoenix zipping into the orange clouds.
There were many flaws there, many indeed. But the largest, was the slight chance of you being devoured by a horrific monster while you were visiting. These are called cyclopean. In native Airian legends it was said that the humans, magical creatures, and the cyclopean lived in peace. They all shared their own fraction of the world. But then a new island was formed. The humans began to settle in faster when it was discovered. But to their mistake, it was cyclopean territory.
The young human emperor Mehn and the cyclopean queen bargained about it. But to make a long story short, it all ended when Mehn angered the queen, and she shoved him down her throat. It was then that cyclopean got the taste for human flesh. She had more cyclopean children, each born having the urge to eat a human. The new generation over populated, and the “vegetarians” of the cyclopean were growing thin.
Soon enough it was Sir Monty who took the crown. His ruling was worse than his ancestors. He gave himself the name “Oblivious.” Why? I could never tell. But He planned attacks on the Airians, as an attempt to take a position on top of the world. War was at every corner, and the sky began to turn red with the essence of death. The magical creatures went into hiding became a rare sight.
In the chaos, a young well-known priestess by the name of Muna escaped near death. She hid herself in a tiny cavern. She then found 12 mysterious stones that took to her interest. She spent lots of time studying them then eventually to her, each represented a month.
Light emitted from the stones. She realized that she could do so much with these. They seemed to have souls…
The stones were people, six men, six women, each with a stone, and power. They spent years restoring Aires, under Muna (who had become the yearly Goddess), and the four seasons council. All was not well…
Plot:

But no ordinary birthstone, a birthstone with the spirit of a month warrior imprisoned inside. Here is the story of the warriors. Long ago twelve people protected medieval Earth, and a world called Aires with their special powers. They had the duty of protecting the innocent from the Cyclopean race. After wiping out an army of the horrific flesh eaters in the final battle, they went to fight the King, Oblivious. They fought a fierce battle but it came down to a less than desirable finish. After taking numerous injuries from the Month Warriors, and finding he could not win, Oblivious retreated back into the underworld where he was from. Where he sunk into the dirt, stones were left. Having never seen stones like these before the warriors marveled at them. The stones began to glow then pulled one warrior into one stone accordingly. (That's how these stones were given a month.) As decades passed the surroundings changed, and the stones sunk into the dirt or were being drifted away by harsh winds and powerful typhoons. Finally, people have found the stones. Now there's a new generation of Month warriors. These children don’t know about their powers, but by an odd coincidence they are brought together to Central park in new york. The Cyclopean race is back, and has begun to spawn all around Aires, and the monstrosities are leaking into earth. There's some unfinished business to be settled. Will they succeed?
Cyclopean
What are Cyclopean's? What is their life style like?
Creatures of the Cyclopean race are solitary. Some lower ranks like pawns live in groups of three to five and hang around Earth more than the underworld. The higher the rank the larger and more powerful the Cyclopean. Their power hierarchy is built like a giant Chessboard. Hence, it is always about the King.
Pawns| These monsters are the size of dwarfs. They usually lurk around Earth and rarely go into the underworld.
Rooks| These Rooks are the size of an adult male, or female depending on the genders. They can take the form of humans and blend in with the crowds.
Knights| Knights can get to be as large as corner stores. They have large bull horns and are the fastest rank of Cyclopean's.
Bishops| Stay in the underworld. No humans other than the month warriors have been there and no one has ever really seen them before. They may only come out to fight if sent by the queens.
Queens| The queens are the defenders. In times they are stronger than the king. They live in the underworld and their jobs are to protect the king and carry out his orders.
Kings| They are slow, but powerful. Kings are rarely seen and not so easy to defeat. They are the prize that everyone has to protect or the whole race will be troubled.
Birthstones
These stones are woven on necklaces and bracelets and maybe even rings to activate their powers. They start to glow when their powers are activating. Without these stones, these people will be powerless.

Tally sits in the high grass of a lush Airian field, watching the clouds as they waddle across the sky to meet their larger cousins that hang above the migrating birds, looking out for their sour brothers-- the storm clouds. The light lounges upon her head and seems as if it is being soaked into her hair for the color of her golden locks falling past her shoulders in a waterfall of pure sunlight. Tally sinks below the plants like she’s hunting. She likes imagining that the plump caterpillar placed on the leaf above her is pestering the snobbish butterflies about their wings, and how they got them. And watching as the butterflies flutter away and leave the caterpillar to become bitter, then later snobbish like them. Her white dress is stained with the melanin of brightly pigmented flowers and the scent of grass. Her pale skin gives way to her emerald- green eyes that brings out her entire face with the startling essence of porcelain China doll. Tormenting yet unusually beautiful in its own creepy way.
The village bell rings from the large tower safely inside of the walls of her town. Tally sighs and gazes up at the sky. The clouds are moving apart.
“Must I go now?” She whines. Sixteen year old Tally doesn’t like going back to Jennah’s, an orphanage where peasant children. Every day she fears being thrown out as she ages. For unlike earth, you are an adult-- when there is no more room for kids. But Tally possessed this annoyingly strong child-like behavior that would someday become her potential down fall. She could not survive on her own. In ways, she lacked this maturity, and logic of the world around her. This causes her to reject her curfew. “I can make it back later…” Tally gets up and wanders into the opposite direction. The plush grass before her is endless. She enjoys the serenity, the kiss of the wind, and the quiet. Then she admired the wind rushing into her face, the darkness surrounding her and the tension compacting her. Her own shriek of terror. For Tally had fallen down the tunnel.

Fiarzyk is in his very large and old mansion, wandering the halls with floor made of granite and walls made of teak. He has his ruby-encrusted sword given to him by his father on his back for he is going to the training room. The training room is designed to look like all the training rooms of the greatest warriors in history combined. It has a dangerous obstacle course, training dummies, and there are even people in there to fight against him. He goes through the obstacle course filled with blades and dummies everywhere. He bypasses everything with expertise - he has done this hundreds of times. He has scars on his body from times where he has missed in the past, but he uses those scars as reminders to do better. He goes over to his hand-made blade sharperner to make his blade sharpened. He made it from two blocks of stone found high in the Aires mountains surrounding his home after he went there to train himself by hunting the animals that roam that area.
He leaves the training room after an hour and goes outside for a walk. It is a beautiful sunny day without a cloud in the sky. Since it was the middle of spring, the trees were just beginning to blossom. Fiarzyk walks over and picks one, hoping one day he can find the girl who is as beautiful as this blossom, and who will love him for his imperfections.

Tallyho shifted uncomfortably. She did not want to fall on the ground and break her face in this new world. She simply did not want to be here from the beginning. She sighed and held on to one of the branches as well as she could bring herself to in this position.

“Oopfh!” She yelped then dropped down onto the grass from the tree. The grass was not nearly as lush and soft as it was on Aires, but it was a lot better than falling on—whatever that hard gray stuff was next to her. She looked around, “Um…”

Fiarzyk walked till he reached his beautiful mountain training spot. His eyes were drawn to an animal he has never seen before. It looked familiar, almost like his pet chafrir. It has four legs and is furry, but, unlike his chafrir, it had a fifth leg coming out from behind it. He somehow though this animal beckoned to him in some strange way, so he decided to hunt it. He pulled out his sword and walked up to it slowly, creeping so as not to be heard. Somehow, this animal knew he was there and it ran. Fiarzyk has never gone down this path, but he knew he had to get this animal. He followed the animal until they reached a cave. Looking into the cave, he knew there was something strange in there. Something the likes of which no one must have seen. Despite better instincts, he went inside the cave. Everything was dark and he couldn't see. However, the five-legged creature could still be heard and therefore it was followed. All of a sudden the creature could not be heard. Fiarzyk walked forward slowly, thinking that it just stood still. But instead, he disappeared too. He fell down from the cave to somewhere deep below.
"Ow!" Fiarzyk yelled after he reached the bottom. He looked around and saw the same darkness. He thought he was still in the cave but a little lower. He walked to where he thought he saw a small light. He was nervous, hoping he could find his way back home. After walking into the light, Fiarzyk knew there was something wrong. He knew it was not his home, possibly not even his world. Everyone was walking around talking, and yet most had no one with them. They held there hand up to their face, with some strange object in it.
He walked up to one of them and asked, "How is it that you talk with no one around?"
"What are you stupid?!" replied the man, as he walked away. Fiarzyk was confused, but just kept wandering.

Tallyho sat up, her blonde hair ran down her back gracefully as she sat up from her fall. She looked around, where were the oxen? The phoenix? What were those metalloid monsters rolling on a path with wheels? This was troublesome. She sighed and stood up; all she could possibly do was…

Fiarzyk sat down on a bench in some area populated with trees and strange stone walkways. It was a stone he has never seen before. And there were strange metal objects near him. Young ones were climbing on these metal objects, obviously having fun.
Also near him was a woman. She was certainly beautiful with flowing blonde hair but she was also crying. He decided to go to her. As he kneeled by her he noticed something else, her clothes were not like the ones he has seen in this area he was in now, but they also didn't look like the clothes the ones he saw women in his home land wear. Although to be fair, he didn't venture far from his mansion. And the few women he saw were dresses in very expensive furs rather than normal cloth.
"What's wrong?" he asked the young woman.

"You are from Aires too? That is my home!" This confused him. Why would someone else from Aires be in this land? And she fell from the sky? Just magically? That seemed very odd to him.
"I don't know how to get back, I was hunting some strange creature and fell through a tunnel in a cave. You say you fell from the sky however? That seems odd. Where were you in Aires? And on another point, who are you even? I have never met you before, for all I know you could be...I don't even want to think about what you could be." Thankfully she stopped crying, he was never good at dealing with others emotions. After all, he never learned to deal that well with his own...

"Get back? Are you crazy? Look at the animals here to hunt! They go around on those wheels just waiting for a master huntsman like me. I could rip through them with my sword in moments. Watch!" As Fiarzyk said this he moved towards one and tried slicing through one with his blade. He made a small incision in the monsters exterior, but could not break through.

“The orphanage.” Tallyho said. She did not feel like going through a trip to her past. A small brown mammal hopped by. Its tail was big, bushy, and curled at the tip.
“Wow! What a cutie!” She said as she reached to pick it up.

Fiarzyk thought for a few moments. "Well, if we really must stay here, then we need to find something to eat. If there are more of those animals that hit you I'm sure they would make good food. Can you start a fire with those trees?" He asked. He wasn't sure if staying was the right idea, and he doubted just sleeping would take both of them back home, but he wasn't going to argue. He just wanted some time to lull the situation over in his mind. "If you can't I will quickly, but I'd appreciate it. So anyway, what's your story? Obviously you didn't just simply fall through a hole."

Raine, irritated with her younger sibling and her friend, had left the apartment where the friend lived, and where they were staying. She wandered around and, until she stopped to look around herself, didn't realize that she had gotten herself lost. She sighed, and searched her pockets, then her purse. Finally, she pulled out her cell phone, and took a look at it. Of course; battery was almost dead. Now how was she supposed to contact the friend's parents? She shook her head. She probably should save the battery...she turned it off, and, a little irritated, she glanced around. She was standing outside a park...she read a sign neearby. Central Park.

"What did you do that for?!" Fiarzyk yelled at Tally. "And you!" he shouted at the stranger near the tree, "why did you destroy that tree? And where is everyone around here?! None of this makes any sense at all!" He took out his sword and just started chopping up the tree. He noticed it was almost hallow inside, something he has never really seen. "Okay, you, strange person. Who are you? And what are you doing here?"

Raine looked a little hurt; she shouldn't have walked up. "...I didn't do anything...to the tree...it just...fell...I didn't do anything..." she trailed off, looking around. She looked back at them; pulling a sword and chopping up a tree with it? She was quite sure these two were going to need surious help...though nothing she could do about the part they seemed to need most...well, the male, at least. "...I think...everyone...is either in bed...or insidea club...or something...no one's outside, anyway..." She swallowed a bit; obviously, it didn't take much for him to lift the sword...and wouldn't take much to use it against her. "And...it looks like...she just helped you out," she added, a small hint of injustice in her voice. "She pushed you out of the way of the tree as it fell! I understand what you mean. The problem is, if this is done for any more than a scene, it has to then assume some kind of compliance for the scene previous, which amounts to the same problem. Plus, I'm pretty sure Lauren has done this game on multiple previous occasions, which means that whatever the crystal would tell them is something only she knows, for example, so we wouldn't be able to get that far anyway...

I was being more patient than I have previously for a new post because of the winter holidays, but I saw that the game was listed as failed and that is why I said something. How long ago did I say I didn't want this game to die? I haven't changed my mind about that. Whenever I join an rp, I always intend to stick with it from start to finish. A finish that does not include dying but a finish as in end of story. The end of this story will be the final showdown between the warriors and the king of the cyclopeans, win or lose.
If they win, the cyclopeans will disperse or die without a leader and the guardians will most likely also die, because they live forever only to guide their champions. Once those champions defeat their enemies for good, the guardians' job is done. We're going to miss them, but there will be victory.
If the warriors lose this final showdown... Actually I don't want to think about that.
Because I don't want to think about losing, I will discuss something else. Perhaps controlling scenes but not characters. One must be careful in that endeavor, but I believe this has already been done successfully in this rp. At Karma's Combat Academy, Karma controlled the scenes when our warrior characters battled her, and once they tumbled into Nemises Shrine Tally controlled that scene. Cana generally controls all her scenes with Jackson, but I play both those characters, so that's not a good example. I also think that Jackson pretty successfully controlled the scene when scouting out the party. He led Tally and Rei to the house and got all three of them together setting up without controlling Tally and Rei.
The basic idea seems to be forcing a favorable decision while retaining free will. With Jackson, Tally, and Rei, Tally and Rei had the choice to either follow him or not. Not following him would sort of defeat the purpose of going with him in the first place, and would also mean it would be more difficult to accomplish the mission, so the favorable decision was to follow, but they still could have chose not to. I'm getting quite verbose lately, and I don't know how to summarize this so bear with me.

So I made a new recap, because we really needed it. Even I was starting to forget things, which is really bad since Jackson is the one who developed the most. I'm glad Tally doesn't seem depressed anymore though. That was a big problem for a while. She feels pretty, and she is. Now if we could get this plan through, this roleplay won't be considered dead anymore. I'm tempted to grab Karma and make her find the security system thing, but she's not my character and that would be wrong.
If we're stuck, I wonder if we could timeskip to the conversation with Noah, since that was the goal. Actually a few minutes prior to that conversation might be better since I want to introduce a new character in time for said character to return to Aires with them. I already have permission to use them.

I wanted to wait until the mission was finished, but a lot has happened in only two days of game time and several months of real time.
After all the kids arrived in Central Park again, Haru told them their target was located in a rich man's house, and the way to get there would be through an open party said rich man was holding the next day. Well they didn't know the party was going to be the next day until later. In the meantime, they neeeded to get party clothes and a place to spend the night. That night was the first time they were separated since this adventure started, because no one house could keep all the kids and three guardians for the night.
Cana and Soren of the Guardians went to Kiara's apartment, because it was too big for just her and her Grandmother. Jackson stayed there also, after a lot of debating and uncertainties. Raine went back to where she was staying with her younger sister alone. Since she was responsible for her sister and friend, she had not much choice. The building also didn't have enough space for more people and it would probably be rude to invite guests when she was a guest herself. That's what Cana would say if she knew all the details too. Tallyho and Rei started out at Kiara's, but after an incident they both went to spend the night with Haru.
Everyone knew where Haru's loft was, because they were supposed to meet back there again the next morning, but plans changed and new ones were made. Instead they met at the shopping center where Haru outlined his plans for completing the mission, and most went right to shopping. Tally and Rei bought their party clothes earlier than Cana, Raine, Jackson, and Kiara. Karma showed up at Kiara's door in between Tally and Rei's shopping and everyone else's, because she was part of the plan Haru outlined at the shopping center. Of course none of the kids were happy to see her, except maybe Rei. But no one can ever tell what makes Rei happy or not.
Jackson had another discussion with Haru, but this time he sort of initiated it. When they went to Haru's loft the first time, he got overwhelmed and ran off so Cana had a chat with him and he decided that he needed to apologize to Haru about his behavior since they got to Aires. The two had their discussion, and then a cyclopean attacked Tally, and threatened all of them. Jackson witnessed the entire encounter and tried to fight said cyclopean, even though he had no idea what he was doing. Luckily Haru stabbed the cyclopean's hand with a throwable blade, and he left.
Because of this encounter though, the cat-guardian told everyone to be ready for the party in an hour. Some of the kids including Jackson had concerns about the ultimatem, but instead of arguing, he suggested changes on that plan which Haru agreed on. Since they were his suggestions, Jackson was the first to move on them.
Now everyone is at the party and the first steps in these plans have been taken.

Well it's been over a week since the last post and almost a month since the computer went away to be fixed, so it might not be so difficult now. Because it's been over a week, it must mean I need to rewrite so Lauren's plan can go through and all the kids can resume their training with either the embarrassed or annoyed Karma. She might be both, but I don't fully understand why she turned away when Jackson offered her the punch. Seriously he was being nice, really! hmm... It seems his being nice revolves around food.

Blech! Double posting. Since this post is here anyway, I'll just add that only someone who knows Mr. Charles should use the courtyard entrance. If your character has never met him personally and has come to a level where he considers you a friend, please use the intimidating front entrance. All characters may use the courtyard as an exit though.

Ah...poor Karma. Her hair's the wrong color, but she still wears pink. So she can still safely be called the pink girl. Karma's response was too funny! The crazy demon girl brought down by hair dye! I'm sure she can still kick anyone's butt, no matter what color her hair is.

I use music mostly to express my feelings about life, but I don't frequently have theme songs for my characters. An example is what I call The Walmart Theme song. I work at Walmart and really don't like it, so my Walmart Theme Song is "Honey, I'm Home," sung by Shania Twain. I don't know if you guys heard of her, but one of the verses of the song says, "this job ain't worth the pay/can't wait till the end of the day.... There's more to it but that verse pretty much sums up what I feel about Walmart. My schedule is all over the place, so when I'm home, I hang out here as part of my unwinding ritual.
Since Lauren wants to get on with the plot, I'll simply assume Tally and Rei followed Jackson to the courtyard and inside the house, and post stuff for the setup procedure. Then Raine and Kiara can follow. I don't know what Lauren wants to do with Karma right now. She could go with Raine and Kiara or someone else.

Ah yes. Sorry. Everytime the roleplay gets stalled it is my fault. But school has been blech. And Biology has been ick. I am a fifteen year old girl for God's sake. Society should really learn how to cater to that.
Nah I'm just kidding. I just need to try harder. But yeah. I try. I have conducted this roleplay many times with different groups of people. And this is one of the few groups I have had that really, truely gets into the plot, to the point of character ideas ot work or school. To tell the truth music stimulates my ideas for this roleplay, and the views of its characters. And sometimes I take the music I have and associate it with one of the Birthstone characters.

And this is one of the few groups I have had that really, truely gets into the plot, to the point of character ideas ot work or school. To tell the truth music stimulates my ideas for this roleplay, and the views of its characters. And sometimes I take the music I have and associate it with one of the Birthstone characters.

Does anyone else want to guess the inspiration for Jackson's attire? Personally I think it was a rather genius idea and have been considering it since the announcement of the ball. Again the hint is that the character isn't only in a movie, but also in a rather famous play.

I just realized it's been more than two months since the last recap, so it's definitely time for another one. Even if we can read old posts now, I still think recaps are a good idea. Seriously, who wants to spend all day reading through over 600 posts? I admit I'm really happy that it's gotten this far, though. We've stalled a few times, and posting has slowed down since school started, but this game's still alive! I say this is the longest-lasting role-play I've ever been involved with. Yay!

Well I never identified a specific room, but I assumed it was another bedroom. Jackson got changed in the guest room that he slept in the night before, and while he attempted to talk to Haru and Tallyho, Cana was getting changed.
Crystal, I wasn't saying anything bad about your guardian character. I just was identifying a trait the character might have when created. I've never had a character idea at a convenient time either. Most of the time, my ideas come when I'm trying to sleep. I think my original idea for Cana come while I was at work.

Yes...I'm working on the guardian as fast as I can. Unfortunately, school hours now don't exactly give me much time, and seeing as plenty of my character ideas usually show up durign class, when I'm trying to take notes...yeah, that doesn't work so well. :P But I am working on it.

Kiara and Soren were in the entranceway of her apartment, I think; thus it wouldn't be too far from whichever room Tally was in. I'm confused. Should we just say that everyone is now officially ready to go out the door of the apartment building? (>.<);

Blame it on Raine's poor sense of direction. She needs a guardian with a really good sense of direction. Yes, before they went to Kiara's apartment they were in the alley where Tally's stone was stolen. She passed out, because she couldn't breathe, and Haru took her back to what I assumed was his loft while she recovered. Later they snuck in a window at Kiara's and finished getting Tally ready. It might be a good time for another recap, but I wanted to wait until after the ball.
I thought Kiara and Soren were outside though, and I didn't think the procession got there yet. I do believe that Haru, Rei and Tallyho just left the room, but they were going very fast and Jackson got winded trying to catch up.
