Introduction
The events that occured after Sosuke Aizen defected from Soul Society and attempted to create the Ouken by destroying Karakura Town and the surrounding lands threw the Soul Society into chaos. It took longer than expected for this incident to be over with, but once it had things began to fall into place, and the world of spirit began to settle down. In light of this, new captains had to be found, seats replaced, and so on. For the most part, the lieutenant's of the divisions with vacant Captains took on said role, and through a series of meetings they have been debating on who should get the new positions as lieutenants.
Meanwhile, however, there have been disturbing reports from outside of Seireitei. It seems that there has been an increase of Hollow activity within Soul Society, and that innocent souls have been devoured. Any shinigami who has gone to investigate these events has never been heard from again, and the souls are beging to complain fairly loudly. A full scale riot could be in the works if something isn't done soon. But between replacing the remaining members of the Gotei 13 and the Hollow attacks there seems to be someone else at work behind the scenes.
Could it be that another of the Soul Reapers has some dark plan in store? Or prehaps one of the Arrancar created by Aizen survived and seeks revenge. As of yet, nothing is clear, except that something muust be done, and soon, before all of the souls within Soul Society are devoured, and the walls of Seireitei crumble.

Your basic Bleach rp I suppose. Nothing as fantastic as I tried last time. You play a shinigami on Soul Society, however beyond that is up to you. You can have a seat in the Gotei 13, or be a student in the academy, or anything else you can think of. This will be based around the shinigami, or Soul Reapers, and how they deal with the Hollows and weather or not they will be able to keep the balance of their own world.

OOC Notes
Tetsuya was, as he often did during his down time, making his way through Rukongai (Rukon District). He wears a ragged black cloak over his uniform and supresses his spiritual pressure, so as not to worry the regular souls who live in the area. With the hood pulled up to hide his face he can easily move about among the souls, determining if there are any problems among them. In his opinion, the shinigami don't pay enough attention to this part of Soul Society, which is a shame, seeing as how come of them got their starts on these very streets.
With a sigh he passes by a group of children kicking a ball around. It comes his way and he gently kicks it back, earning him a wave and smile from the kids as they continue on in their little game. So peaceful. He thinks to himself as he continues on his own path. Just as he is about to round a corner he hears a shriek of terror, and as he turns he begins to feel the pressence of a Hollow. Looking back at where they kids had been he curses himself and rushes towards a huge frog-like Hollow. As he moves wind seems to surround him and tears his cloak away, and once freed from it he draws Ryusora.
"Move away from the children!" Tetsuya yells, slashing at the Hollow. He manages to cut it's arm, causing it to cry out and take a step back, but as he does this Tetsuya can see that the child he kicked the ball to is now caught, the Hollow's long, spiked tongue wrapped around his little body. "Damn it!" The Hollow begins to laugh, and tightens his grip on the boy, who cries out in pain before fainting. Tetsuya's goggles seem to glow faintly, and suddenly he is gone, and the Hollow's tongue, still wrapped around the child, falls from it's masked face, and before he can do anything more then cry out in confusion, his mask splits in half, and he begins to dissapear.
The 'mother' of the child runs out as Tetsuya sheathes his sword, and by the time he gets to them the tongue has gone as well. The boy lies there, unconcious and hurt, but still alive. When Tetsuya moves closer the woman pulls her child away, as ifhe were a snake, and when he stands and looks around the streets, full just moments ago, are now deserted. Shaking his head he simply walks over and grabs his cloak, shakes the dust off, then puts it back on and begins his return journey to Seiraitai.

Tamaki resheathed her katana and breathed a sigh of relief. She was just about to attack the hollow when a soul reaper revealed himself. She walked out from the alley she followed him silently. It's odd from one of them to be here. She went ahead and went over to the seiraitai. Right now she was curious on why a soul reaper was here. Once she could see the soul reaper, Tama put up her hood.
Her face was easily reconizable as the ex. Captain of Division 6. Hopefully he doesn't see my zanpakuto. She thought absent-mindly touching the handle of her katana hidden in her jacket sleeve.

"You can stop trying to be sneaky..." Tetsuya says, waving a hand over his shoulder, slowing his pace a little. "I've known you were back there for a while, so you might as well come on up here if you wanna ask me something." He wasn't sure who this person was, but her spiritual pressure seemed...off, in the same way he assumed his might feel to others who could sence it at all. Maybe she's another shinigami, or maybe she's just got a higher spiritual leven than normal. If that's the case I could take her to the academy in Seireitai and have them look her over. "Well I would like to ask why one of you Soul Reapers are down here." Tamaki said with a slight edge, the hood of her jacket hid her eyes that shown an unnatural blue that scared most people. "Also you best relax you grip on the weapon. I'm not a vizard...or one of you." She lied in a way that was hard to tell the difference between the truth and lies. "I just have a high spiritual level."

Tetsuya lets out a sigh and closes his eyes for a moment as he takes his hand away from his sword. "You're definately one of them," he says with a laugh, "Because of the actions of a few, the whole hates us...and you've got good eyes to, being able to tell I had my hand on by sword even though it's hidden by my cloak." He stops there, at an intersection, and turns to look at her. Most of her is kept hidden, however from what he can see of her she looks younger than him, but of course age matters very little here. A child of five could actually be one hundred. "My name is Odasuka Tetsuya, and yes, I am a Soul Reaper, but I'm not like the rest. I grew up in a place very similar to this, and I don't mean as a soul, I mean in the world of the living..."

"You look awfully familiar to me." Katsumi had been watching the conversation for a while now. She was intriged to see them talking to plainly with each other. The vizard was standing upsidedown in mid air just a couple hundred feet in the air. It had been a long time since she'd seen another true shinigami. Both of these people had high levels of reiatsu. She sighed and walked forward, though in truth she looked as if she was walking down a rollar coaster track. She walked forward and down to make her way before them, smiling with her razor sharp smile. Almost absently as she took in their identities her eyes flashed a golden yellow before returning to normal in a matter of seconds. She listened as Tetsuya talked before dropping down to the ground to stand beside him. He should recognize her even though she didn't visit Soul Soviety often anymore. "Very deep, Tet, so anyway, why don't you figure out who the heck this is?" Katsumi was known for her dry sense of interest so she hoped he wouldn't take it personally. She was a little conscious for randomly popping about so she took a step back to give them some room to talk.

"Ah, Katsumi-chan," Tetsuya says, his high collar hiding his smile. He always calls her this, on the rare occasion they met, mainly to annoy her a bit. "I was wondering where you'd gotten off to. It's been quite a while, hasn't it?" He watches as she takes a step back from him and smiles again before turnign to face the girl once more. "Well, I am curious, but I feel that one should be respectful, even to strangers. From what I can tell, she is telling the truth, mostly. She isn't a Vizard, like you, and if she is a shinigami, I see no zanpakuto on her preson, not visable at least, and I don't recognise the faint spiritual pressure I read off her. That means I haven't met her within...the last decade at least. Which means she probably hasn't been within Seiraitai for that same decade...correct so far?" Tetsuya was actually guessing at all of this, however he hoped he sounded more like he actually knew what he was talking about.
All that he really knew about this girl was that he was younger than her, and didn't look like a shinigami. She also didn't have the same feel as a Vizard did, but she wasn't just some soul either. He was, actually, very curious, but tried not to let it show. His high collar helped with that, as it hid the curious little smirk his mouth held as he thought this all over in his mind.

Katsumi grinned at Tetsuya; it was one of the rare grins she expressed and they were usually around him. "Yes, awhile. I was curious why you two were here talking so peacefully." She began to circle the younger girl, tilting her head to the side and thumbing the hilt of her zanpakto. As she pondererd her eyes shifted multiple times from their light sky purple to the valiant golden yellow. She stopped eventually to gaze at the girl from the side. "I agree, she isn't a vizard, I would know, and if I didn't well then I'd be pathetic. But I disagree about the shinigami." Katsumi leaned forward, a little perplexed. "I was captain of the 11th Squad for a while, you know, and I'm usually pretty good with faces. I'm sure I've seen you before... Eh, maybe you are just roaming person with extraordinary reiatsu, but I doubt it." She put her hands behind her head and leaned onto one leg, relaxing herself. "Why does it really matter, Tetsuya? Why not just leave the girl be? She can obviously protect herself and according to that distant memory I don't remember her being one of the people I had to protect." Katsumi looked farely bored with this already; she wasn't one to bud into other people's buisness.

"Still like a kitten I see, Katsumi-chan," Tetsuya says, shaking his head. "You grow board so easily of the string after you've played with it a bit, then you're ready to move on to the next toy." He laughs a little, not exactly sure himself what he just said, or what it might mean, but then suddenly his face grows serious and he looks around the intersection they are at, then takes off running to the left. His cloak flaps around him, oncealing his left ahdn as it reaches over and grasps Ryusoara's hilt. "Again, so soon? How are they getting in?"
As he rounds the corner he comes across another Hollow, this one much larger and tougher looking than the frog one earlier. It has a man in it's grasp, and in an instant he absorbs the man's reiatsu and he simply disapears, leaving a pile of clothes on the ground as the Hollow drops them. As the Hollow turned towards Tetsuya he gets a better look. This one had a black and red scorpion body, but where the head wound be there was a large torse sticking up instead, like a centaur. The hole was in the center of this chest, which held two huge pincer arms and two muscular humanoid arms with three fingers on each hand. Finally the head, upper chest, and shoulders were hidden under it's mask, which looked like an arrow head, with two slits for eyes, and an unside down U where the mouth was.
"Damn you Hollow!" Tetsuya says, raising up his right hand and drawing out Ryusora in his left, "Sokatsui!" As the blast of blue spiritual energy hurtles towards the Hollow, Tetsuya follows just behind it, sword at the ready, however, when it should have hit the Hollow and, at the very least, blown off an arm, the Hollow is able to simply raise it's hand and absorb the hado, then slap Tetsuya aside as if he were a rag doll.

Someone caught Tetsuya before he hit a building, setting him down and flash stepping to above the Hollow, soaring down and landing behind the Hollow and kicking it's barbed tail so that the tip smashed into it's own back. The blue and white striped hat figure grinned. "Getting slapped aside like that - either this is an unusual Hollow or your Kido has gotten sloppy, Goggles!" said Blitz from behind the new Hollow.

"You know my kido have always beel sloppy, Crooked Hat," Tetsuya says, standing, "But this Hollow absorbed my Sokatsui like ramen. I don't know what's up, but this is the second on in less than an hour, I don't like it." As he speaks he brushes off his cloak and raises up Ryusora in his left hand once more, aiming the tip of it right at the Hollow's mask. "Tenran!" Wind begins to swirl around the blade, then a tornado launches off towards the Hollow, but just before it hits he opens his mouth and simply swallows it, like it were a drink of water.
"Urg...that stings..." The Hollow says, pulling the barbed stinger from his back. "Thankfully...I'm not affected by my own venom, unlike these tasteless little souls around here!" He points his stinger towards a nearby house, in the window, and sprays out a mist of poison. As the dark red vapor fills the house the people inside run out, coughing. When they stand up their eyes are dark red, and they rush Blitz, who is closer to them.

Hope continued on his walk around Sereitai and noticed a fluctuation in spirit pressure coming from Rukongai. I can sense some soul reapers over there so it should be ok..., he thought to himself as he flash stepped outside of the wall separating Sereitai from Rukongai, Although I suppose the captain commander would have my head if I didn't go check for myself.
He arrives on top of a building behind the hollow and notices the soul reapers that are already there seem to be having trouble. Pointing his arm at the one wearing goggles he activated his Tenteikura spell to speak directly to him without making noise. "It seem's you are having trouble, do you need assistance? I would happily provide it, this does look like an interesting fight."

"Damn you Hollow!" Tamaki yelled and Ku Bara slipped from her leave into her hand. "Hado 54: Haien!" A blast of purple spiritual energy was fired at the hollow. Then without hesitation she ran up to the hollow and sliced its legs. Though her hood slipped off while doing so, revealing her face. "Now you see who I am. The ex. Captain of Division 6. Tamaki Kawazoe the Blue-Eyed Demon. Tell the other shinigami (Hope) that we might need help."

If you had only been a bit more cautious your hood would not have fallen and you could have kept some of your past a secret at least..." He says, sheathing Ryusora and closing his eyes as he focuses his thoughts and speaks so that only Hope can hear him. "As you can see, we've got it. But, thanks anyway, I'm sure there will be more of those bastards around here soon enough..." he says/thinks to Hope before opening his eyes again, watching as the eyes of the people slowly fade back to normal and the all pass out. "A Soul Reaper's work is never over, excuse me."
He then begins the task of carefully picking up the bodies and carrying them back into the house, then finding a good place to lay them down. They all seem fine, though they'll probably feel horrible when they wake up. Hopefully they won't remember a thing though... he thiks gravely as he goes out for another body.

Shizuka Origami was following Hope from a distance. Even though he was a shinigami, he didn't like to fight much. He felt like an annoyance whenever Hope was fighting by feeling like he was getting in the way. He finally walked over to Hope and looked down at the other shinigami, or what appeared to be, and sighed a relief. The battle's over... he thought to himself and looked over at Hope. "Where to, Captain?" he said in his usual, quiet tone. He had his right palm resting on his Zanpakuto, which was on his right side, and his hand was shaking. He didn't know why, but maybe the thought of Hollows in the Rukongai just scared him a bit.

"Good timing Shizuka, the battle just got over." Hope said giving Shizuka a good pat on the back, to comfort him. He had noticed the shaking hand.
"How about you and I go and get some sake to settle our nerves? Or if your not up for that, we could spar a little? I've only had Zaraki to train with and it is getting kind of boring, rather like fighting an ox," Hope turned away from the scene below and started walking towards where he knew there to be good sake, "Well, are you coming?"

"Uh... uh, yeah." responded Shizuka as he looked down and away from Hope. He was liking the idea of sparing with Hope, but knew he'd lose so he didn't see much point in training against someone who would win. "Let's get sake." he said and followed Hope a few feet back. I wonder if he's gotten bankai... Shizuka thought and looked up at Hope who was still walking in front of him. "Uh... Captain? D-do you have Bankai?" he asked and rubbed his left arm.

Hope looked back at his lieutenant and smiled, "No, I have not achieved Bankai; I probably never will. These days I no longer speak with Karite and he no longer speaks with me, I am scared of him. They say a soul reapers zanpakuto is an extension of their own spirit, and i can't stand to think of part of me being so horrid and wicked. Perhaps someday I will get over my childishness, but I don't think so." Hope flash stepped to the next roof and again spoke.

"Interesting, we shall have to spar sometime and you will have to use it. I've never fought a Bankai before." Hope said jumping off the roof and landing at a table, they were at the sake bar. "What do I think a monster is? That is a hard question to answer but I'll try. A monster is anyone, or anything, that harms others without reason or for pure enjoyment, a hollow would be a perfect example of a monster. That is why we must kill them, to keep everyone safe." Hope poured himself a glass of sake that the server had just brought to the table, "What is your answer to that question?"

They had made it to the table and Shizuka listened to Hope's response to the question. "Anyone that harms without reason... huh...: he said and Hope asked him what he thought about the question. "My answer? Uh, well... Maybe anything that feels no remorse towards hurting others, I guess..." he responded and pour a little sake for himself. He took a small sip and gave a disgusted look and put it on the table. "Yeah, a spar." he said quietly But using my Bankai... is out of the question. he thought to himself.

Hope finished his sake and stood up, "A spar it is then," Hope said smiling. This will be interesting, He thought to himself as he stood up and started walking away. "Follow me to the sparring spot." Hope then flash stepped into the nearby woods trusting his lieutenant to keep up. When he arrived somewhere he was sure was far enough away from the populace of Rukongai to avoid any accidental injury he stopped. "This will be our sparring location, feel free to go all out. The only person to see is me," Hope said to Shizuka as he pulled his zanpakuto out of its sheath.

Shizuka heard Hope say it was okay to go all out, but didn't feel quite comfortable with that idea. He saw his captain pull out his Zanpakuto and so Shizuka hastely pulled his out and pointed it towards Hope. "Uh... S-so when do we start?" he asked and looked around the surrounding area. The place was just trees and nothing else. Trees... I don't want to activate my Bankai here... he thought and closed his eyes to see a twin-headed dragon with gold scales and a feathery blue tail in front of him.
"Don't be bashful, Origami. You don't need to hold back against your captain. He said it was perfectly fine." said the left head as the right head spit a small flame out of his mouth in disgust and looked over at Shizuka.
"Why should he bother? He never even uses his Shikai! He might as well use normal katanas if even that! I mean he rarely ever fights at all, so why would he go all out just because his captain said he could?" complained the right head and the left head looked over and gave him a look.
"Why are you doing this in front of him, again?" asked the left head.
"Because it's almost pointless to even reassure him that it's fine to use us! He'll never change, never!" Shouted the right head and Shizuka felt ashamed to be their owner.
"I'm sorry..." he said to the Twin-headed dragon. "But my captain wants me to fight, so I'm going to be fighting weather I go all out or not." he said and felt more confident about the fight.
"Whatever." said the right head and Shizuka opened his eyes and grinned.
"I'm ready, Captain Kosame." he said as he tightened his grip of his zanpakuto with his right hand as he fisted his left hand, releasing some tension.

"This should be interesting," murmured Blitz to himself behind a tree nearby. He couldn't help it, he had a natural curiosity. He wasn't hiding with Kido, just suppressing his spiritual pressure completely - normally an impossible feat - not just because of it's strength or size, but because there's always a small amount that can be detected if one is close enough - but his own mastery of kido and the passive abilities of his zanpakto, even when sealed, helped him totally hide his presence. Besides, he liked to see new powers at work - even they were up again each other.

Hope was feeling generous and wanted to see just how strong his lieutenant was. "I'm going to give you a free shot, come on and cut me." Hope said knowing that Shizuka would be lucky to scratch him with an unreleased sword. His spirit pressure was like that of the last captain, in such great concentration that it acted as armor against most attacks. "And don't you dare come at me like you don't mean to kill, because that would be a horrible mistake." He said in his most serious voice.

It's assumed that he died, but I wouldnt be surprised to see him again - they never even showed his death or anything, no crater where he used to be, etc - too anticlimactic for the death of the head captain - anyway, i changed it - but next time maybe send a PM or add a note in the post itself, i almost never check OCC - even then i only checked after a full day to ask why no one has posted yet

No he uses it and Aizen calls it the self sacrifice kido. Self sacrifice means death. The commander is never seen after the kido is used and Aizen survived, so he died and his body was incinerated with the flame.

well there are 3 left (Kichigai, Buraindo, and Ryu) but Kichigai created the others so it's only right he's stronger, much like how Aizen is better than the Espada

thanks. sorry for the inconvenience, but seeing as how he's the only arrancar alive and how it's nearing the end he should be a bit more powerful. His masks give him different abilities and I'll reveal that in the RP as well.

Balmung6, okay you can't block Kichigai's attack, I'm sorry, even if you're weakening it because of the mask he's wearing makes him super powered in physical attacks and he basically has no reiatsu in this form.
