"He only had five bucks on him. And since I didn't know if Shira would be here to protect you, I had to hurry home with just that." He turned back to his human. The wallet was held between his thumb and forefinger, and Kirenai held it out. "You can have this."
Anybody who knew Kirenai would also know that he never, ever, gave out his spoils of the trade. But then again, Kirenai wasn't finished talking. "In return..." He was towering in front of Delilah now with a hand against the wall close to her head. The other grasped her shoulder. The vampire bent over, lips resting lightly on her neck. "For this." Kirenai sunk his fangs in.
Ah yes. One of the few things Kirenai loved in this world; blood. He could feel the richness of it, it was like taking a bite out of life itself. But right now, he wasn't that thirsty. Don't get him wrong though, Kirenai could feel the thirst welling up inside him, and this little nip was just a mere snack compared to what would be coming later on.
