Talzon is obviously a physically imposing man, being muscular, if not overly. He has a fierce look to him, with his very long, flowing hair, deep tan, and perpetual pissed off face. When moving, he has a very agile step to him, very much like a jungle cat. His general clothing, or lack of, consists of fur boots, and a multi layered loincloth. He is completely shirtless at all times.

{O D D I T I E S}
He has many scars all over his body, especially his torso. The most prominent is a scar above his left eye.

{P E R S O N A L I T Y}
✦ Brave ✧ Angry ✦ Loyal ✧ Protective ✦
Talzon is a fierce individual. He's a pretty serious man with a seemingly permanent scoll. He's very brave, and couragous. He is at his core a warrior, a protector. He's the first one to run head first into danger, and is willing to do anything to protect those who cannot protect themselves. He is quite honorable as well, never striking an unarmed foe, and refusing to fight a woman unless absolutely necessary. He is quite protective of others, if not overly. Indeed, he can be like a bloodthirsty mad dog to protect those he cares about.

True to his name, Talzon has quite the temper. He has explosive anger, and a short fuse. It doesn't take much to set him off, and once you do you will want to be far away. He has little control over it, but is working on it. He realizes his anger issues, and is quick to apologize for his outbursts. He is a rather untrusting, and somewhat pesimistic man. He keeps a wall around himself, and he let's few in. Despite that he's a very loyal man to those he let's in. Which is mostly his Beserkers. When around his Beserkers he almost a different man, being warm, fun loving, and even smiling.

He has a deep seated distaste of Mages, especially those of Nelmos. He has fought many of them over the years in order to protect the tribes, in fact serveral of his scars come from. Despite his gruff exterior he is a rather gentle soul. When alone he can be found taking in the scenery, lovingly tending to animals, or even just simply laying on the grass watching the clouds. Of course when confronted with this he will deny it, and most likely break your arm.

{H I S T O R Y}
As the son of the Skin-Changer King, the Alpha, a lot is expected of you. You must be strong, fast, smart. You must be a shield for those who cannot protect themselves. That is his duty, his burden. Since he was a lad Talzon was taught to be such a man. Even as a child Talzon had his legendary anger problems. As he grew up he was desperate to do something to help his people during the war. But he was a mere child, but that didn't deter him. He thought he could handle anything like his father.

And so on the eve of battle when his father led some of their people to the camps of the other countries Talzon snuck along with them. By the time he was discovered it was too late, one of the bloodest battles of the entire had begun. It was here that Talzon got his first taste of battle. The Orc horde fell upon the camp like a floud. Carnell stayed at his son's side to protect him from the Orcs. The Orcs overwhelmed the allied forces, their only hope was to last until the Elves, and Dwarves arrived to the camp.

The battle began to take a toll on Carnell, he was not in the prime of his life anymore. Several Orcs attacked them, Carnell was barely holding them off. That was until one of the dastardly beasts ripped out his right eye. Talzon lost control, he attacked the Orcs with the ferocity of his animal form. He killed three Orcs that day before reinforcements arrived. Not only was that the first life a siz year old Talzon ever took, but it was also the day he earned his name. From then on he was Talzon The Berserker.

After that he felt immense guilt over what happened to his father, blaming himself for the loss of his eye. Though his father did not blame him. He told him that without him there he would have possibly died. But it was no use. After that day he became more serious about his role in his society. He trained harder, and fought harder. In the years after the war the lands was still in choas. Bandits began hiding in their forest, robbing those that traveled the roads outside of their land. And so when he was seventeen he formed the Berserkers to deal with these bandits, and keep his people safe.

He took only the strongest, and smartest among the tribes. And he was well liked by his men, and was thought of as a decent leader, and commander. His infamy grew as well, and his name is well-known throughout the kingdoms. He is known as a savage, bloodthirsty beast. Which he uses to his advantage.

The pounding on the dead, and fallen leaves of the forest floor under the paws, hooves, what have you of the Skin-Changer pack known as the Berserkers bellowed around. They were late. A meeting had been called of the five leaders of the realm to the temple Morsalos, the ancient ruins that the alliance was forged against the invading Orcs. With the traveling Sorceror's deadline soon coming up the leaders have called for gathering to discuss the situation. The Humans, Mages, Elves, and Dwarves have been awaiting the Skin-Changers for some time now. The Humans have their best guards there, Captained by Iliana Tarly, the Mages have brought the Inquistion lead by the Inquistior herself, Morganna Fiera, the Elves have brought their own elite guard lead by Lysanthir Khiiral, and as for the Dwarves, the Royal Spymaster hand picked several Dwarven warriors to accompany them. Though most are merely drinking buddies. But they are still talented warriors in their own right.

Jorgon stood there within the crumbling temple tapping his foot in annoyance. "So at what point should we begin thinking about forming a search party for the flea-ridden savages? I'm starting to feel like the buxom lass who I stood up to be here. I probably should have sent a message. All well, what is it you humans say? 'One pair of legs closes, and another opens'?" He asked with a wink aimed at Iliana, breaking the increaseingly uncomfortable silence amongest the groups. Before another word could be said they were interupted by the thunderous roar of a lion. The unmistakeable Talzon leaped forth onto a fallen stone pillar, and released another bone chilling roar. The groups, save for the Elves, became increasingly nervous, and gripped their weapons tightly. Soon more of his kind began to reveal themselves.

"I think you should appologize for calling them flea-ridden savages." Jorgon whispered to his adopted brother Emron followed by a slight nudge to his side. Talzon stepped off the fallen pillar, and strode towards the group. If not for his many scars his animal form would be considered quite majestic. But instead he's quite the fierce sight, and let us not forget his piercing yellow eyes. His bones began shifting under his skin, and he started to stand up right as he turned more humanoid. He walked up to Lord Dyron, with each step just oozing authority. At this point he was mostly human, save for the fur on his face, his glowing eyes, large fangs, hairy arms, and clawed hands.

Talzon stood before the king mage, and lowly growled at him. Talzon glanced beside him, and saw the Princess of Nelmos. He growled at her much more loudly, almost becoming a solf roar. Before this escalated any further they were once agian interrupted. This time by a loud screeching roar from the sky. It sounded like the mixture of two animals, a lion roaring over the sound of a eagle screeching. This caused Talzon to back away slowly from Dyron, and become more human like, losing his fangs, and claws, and extra fur. All save for his glowing yellow eyes which remained transfixed upon the king in a fierce stare that said he was ready, and willing to rip his head off.

From a large hole in the ceiling swooped down a magnificent sight, a mighty Griffon, his father Carnell. The Skin-Changer king reared his head back, and released another, even mightier screeching-roar. This caused any remaining Skin-Changers to forcibly revert to their human forms. Whether they wanted to or not, they could not refuse the call of their Alpha. Talzon was no different. He backed away further from the mages, and his eyes returned to normal. Carnell lowered his wings, and covered his head. And then in a mere second his wings transformed into a cloak, and he stood up in his human form.

"Apologizes for our tardiness. We were forced to make a quick stop to deal with some bandits. It could not be helped." Carnell stated with a slight bow. "Aye, you're here now, and that's all that matters. Let us be down with this. I don't know how much more I ca' take of the Elves stench." Graven smirked. "Ah there's that Dwarven wit I've heard so much about. I'm not impressed." Tamardiel replied in cool, collected manner. "That's quite enough. We shall proceed to the meeting room. The rest of you await our return. Oh, and do try not to kill one another." Queen Malan interjected, bringing the conversation back on topic. "Dyron do be a dear, and open the door." She ordered. "Of course, my pleasure." Dyron replied.

Dyron made his way over to a large wall, running his hand along the groves of it's surface. He then abruptly stopped. He pressed his hand upon the stone, and a bright light outlined a door in front of him. The stone bricks then began lowering into the ground, revealing a secret room with only a large stone table inside. The four other rulers entered the room one by one, and finally Dyron entered the room. He stomped his foot on the ground, and the stone wall rose up, and sealed them inside to insure privacy.

To say the formidable Inquisitor wasn't in the best of moods would be quite the accurate statement as the fire mage's knuckles grasped around the leather reins of her horse quite firmly as the war beast shifted uneasily. It had been a long journey into this ancient place that seemed layered with ancient prophecies and forgotten magic. The trip itself went quite smoothly aside for a majority of the party, as if all the ill-luck followed the Red Witch. If one looked close enough, you could see the fabric of her dress slightly wet from condensation as if it had been rained on, yet the rest of Mages seemed perfectly dry. A sharp exhale of breath came from the Witch as a soft voice came from her right "Inquisitor, please allow me to apologize for my mistake once again. I know that..". The youth's apology came to a grinding halt as a pale hand merely cut him off as did the faint lighting from the brooch about her neck, a few elder members backed up a few steps. Yet nothing too extreme occurred as silk outlines of runes danced across the soft fabric of the dress, wisps of steam coming from as if the dress had been hanging over a gentle fire all day.

As the runes faded away as Morganna actually turned and faced the apologist "Apologies don't change the past Arthus. Have some self-control next time you feel the urge to fiddle with the weather.". The youth merely flushed crimson before falling silent once more. An eerie silence fell over the temple aside from the clinking of metal and soft snorts from horses. Only a poorly-timed joke by one of the Dwarves apparently named Jorgon followed by a boisterous announcement of arrival by a late Prince and his folk. Her left hand man merely grumbled "I thought beasts were supposed to have impeccable internal clocks. Brutes were a bit late." A faint twitch of the woman's lips failed to mask the amusement in the comment which was quickly became cold as the Berserker Prince made an attempt of intimidating her Lord and the Princess in turn, as the brooch about her neck began its ominous change to red.

Static seemed to pop about the air as Arthus felt his hackles raise at the bold, but unspoken threat intentions clear enough. The youth seemed to have a special connection with atmospherics' pressure easily calling upon clouds within minutes, this made him difficult to manage if his self-control was put into question. Yet, anyone who could read a situation would note the change in posture of the Inquisition as once relaxed bodies became tense, ready to spring into action with a single command from their leader. This stance remained even after the intervention of the Berserker King, resulting in a clearly disgruntled Talzon..although a much less furry one. Unsurprisingly the groups were merely scolded by their respective charges followed by the advice to attempt to NOT maim one another.

~Well maiming isn't necessarily murdering one another. Dear Queen Malon~ Morganna thought quietly as her fellows quickly took up a protective position about the Princess. The child was ever eager to see a Skin-Changer in person, what would this unwelcome first encounter impact her perspective on the beast-men. Mounting up on her horse as Morganna urged the beast into an almost mocking display of arrogance as she called down the Princess "You see my Lady, that the Lion may be considered the King of the Beasts. Yet is still a mere cub when it comes to understanding the ways of the world and that of a proper court. No Lady should ever be insulted such a way. I expect an apology for threatening a harmless girl would be in order? Or are your manners as poor like much of your kind Talzon?". A faint smile came upon Morganna as she came to halt as the fleshy body of Bane stood sidewise in front of the young Princess in a purely defensive posture.

The Red Witch knew that Athelia was an accomplished mage in her own right, but why give away all the secrets just yet? Let the wild men think of the Princess as merely a child, not even capable of defending herself. It would work out in their favor as time went on if the Princess played along. Besides the request for the apology came out as a threat of her own as such insult would not stand, even if one was drawn out by force. The air sparked in energy as small flames danced about Morganna's person much like nature's fireflies expect these little bugs could easily burn flesh if directed to do so. Red flickers danced about the crystal brooch as her blue eyes stared defiantly into the yellow ones of the Prince, while Bane let out an impatient snort and stamped the ground below. Leaves and branches crunched beneath the hooves as faint flames licked at the fuel as wisps of smoke floated into the air, enchantment was something Morganna took pride in and was willing to show off in the right moments. Tension was evident in the air again as only neutral parties could break apart the rival groups.

Emron stood beside his friend, bored out of his mind as he stood there waiting like everyone else for the shifters to arrive. It really was not appropriate for them to be this late and though Emron was often this late for such things, he was not this late this late. Like he at least had the grace to have Jorgan or someone run ahead to tell whoever he was keeping waiting why he was being kept waiting.

Emron looked up as Jorgan began talking, looking to him with a look of impatience as he waited to hear what he had to say. Emron rolled his eyes at Jorgan's words, finding that they were normal for the dwarf and though they were partially true, were perhaps a bit harsh for the shifters. They weren't all flea ridden. They couldn't be.

"Now, now Jorgan, they can't all be flea ridden," Emron stated the 'nows' out loud while he whispered only loud enough for Jorgan to hear the last part. "You are literally begging to be arrested by literally everyone here," Emron pointed out softly as he gave smiles to all those around them that were looking pointedly at the dwarves.

When the prince of the shifters arrived, Emron's eyes widened and his hand, already on his sword, tightened in it's grip. He wasn't scared of the shifters, that was impractical. He was scared of having his blood spilt over Jorgan saying something stupid. When his friend spoke to him again, Emron's eyes widened further and shook his head as he looked to Talzon.

"It was him," Emron whispered with a point at Jorgan and a nod of the head. Emron looked away as Talzon began shifting, finding the sight rather unhealthy for his constitution. Emron wanted to roll his eyes at Talzon's display, but with great control, restrained. He was a caring person, yes, but caring for those that thought themselves to be the best and that the world owed them were not on Emron's list of those to care for.

Emron looked at Talzon with his contempt entirely concealed, instead, holding a face of nonchalance and blankness. Emron watched as Talzon's father obeyed and reigned in his unruly son. He was thankful as though the elder was rather magnificent and certainly more powerful than his son, he was also one who seemed to be more... respectable.

Emron watched the exchange between al the shifters before giving a slight nod and bow to acknowledge Carnell. Emron, upon hearing his father complain of the elves, looked to Lysanthir with a barely concealed smile while biting back his laughter. His father truly was ridiculous in Emron's own eyes. However much he was not pleased with his father though, Emron couldn't take the barely veiled insult from Tamardiel. There was no need to insult all dwarves, just most. That was suitable to Emron.

When the queen of the human country spoke up, Emron was thankful. The woman was one that spoke of authority without words and you just didn't cross her for any reason. Emron was comfortable with joking with many royalty such as her son Ross, though it was more teasing than joking, yet Emron would never joke or tease the queen of Melcotin whatsoever.

When the mage king opened the door, Emron watched in fascination as the door opened to reveal a table and chairs. Emron knew better than to attempt to follow into the room, instead watching his father as he took his seat. Emron then moved to sit on a nearby pillar base that had fallen long ago. He looked around at the other royals and their guards, guardians, and friends. It was a sight that would cause many to cowl, yet Emron honestly couldn't care less who he was in the presence of. He really would rather be in a town, or working.

He was not going to admit though that both the elven and the mage princesses were rather beautiful and he might or might not be embarrassed to talk to them. Mer he could probably speak a few words to, though the Princess of Nelmos... Emron would only speak to her after a few drinks. Possibly four. Probably more.

As Athelia's guardian spoke, Emron stifled his laughter again, succeeding in only producing a cough. It was amusing to say at the very least to hear the words that he had thought but not wanted to say. He wasn't going to step in, let the royalty who had actual problems battle it out with words.

He did give a smile at the small party though, his eyes on Athelia though as soon as he saw her move, he looked away, fearful that she had seen him watching her. He looked to Jorgan pointedly, pretending as if he was waiting for a response from his friend rather than looking as if he hadn't been doing something.

Ross stood next to his mother, openly staring at all of the different species around him. He was fairly close to the elf princess and her guardian. He kind of knew the dwarf prince and his friend. Ross didn't know where he stood with the princess of Nelmos, and he certainly didn't know what to think of the shifters who were late.

It wasn't often that Ross was able to openly look at them all and not be chastised about it. He could claim he was just looking after all, not outright staring as he actually was. Ross looked with raised brows to the dwarves as they began speaking. He aimed a pointed question at Iliana that Ross just widened his eyes at. He suddenly found a great interest in the skies above as he waited for a response from his friend. He need not defend her. In reality, he knew he would only embarrass himself since she was far more than capable of defending herself. .

Rather than being filled with terror at the sudden roar of a lion, Ross looked at the place the roar came from, a small smile creeping onto his lips. He found his hand on his waste where he held his knives regardless though. When he saw that Lysanthir and his guard were not gripping their weapons, Ross took a breath and stood, resuming the calm exterior he certainly didn't feel.

Ross looked to the prince of the shifters as he appeared, his eyes wide as he studied the shifter. Watching, he stiffened slightly when Talzon seemed to challenge the princess of Nelmos and her father. Ross had read plenty to know that the challenge could mean a great deal of things, or nothing, or everything. To be honest, Ross really just wanted to ask Talzon what he meant by the roar though he knew that it was probably an improper time to be doing so.

When a griffin appeared, Ross's mouth did open slightly as he studied the king of the skin changers, the beauty and grace of the creature nearly rivaling that of the elves though Ross would never admit that out loud to Lysanthir. He did not need to hear that Ross thought him beautiful or graceful.

Ross watched fascinated as the skin changers around their alpha appeared to be forced back into their human forms when there was a screech like roar from their king. Ross smiled, his mouth still open in wonder before he realized it and shut his mouth quickly.

Ross looked around for the other's responses to Carnell's words before copying their responses. He knew etiquette and all, but etiquette was not always they way to go or the rule to follow when dealing with a species that Ross was not as familiar with. The dwarf king made a comment only to then be followed by the elf king, their everlasting feud rather evident in their exchange.

Ross then heard his mother speak up and looked straight ahead, putting on his best court face of blankness yet lack of boredom as he had been chastised about that. Ross watched then as the king of the mages moved forward to reveal a secret room which Ross watched open with wide eyes and his mouth again slightly open. It wasn't often he got to witness such magic, a rarity in his own personal world actually.

Ross's thoughts then went back to what his mother said. Maiming? Did she really think they would maim one another? They were not that beastly the entire lot of royalty... Were they?

Ross watched as the other royals moved about. The mages were practically challenging the skin changers while the dwarves seemed not to care. He then turned his gaze back to the human Talzon with his eyes studying the skin changer openly. Ross thought over Morganna's, Athelia's guardian and the mage known as the Red Witch, speech. Athelia wasn't entirely harmless. She could be dangerous.

Ross looked at Athelia then before looking to Iliana. "Would it be creepy to ask her about her magic and what she can and can't do?" He asked his friend for advice with a curious look as he then turned his gaze back to the princess with a musing appearance now.

ImageShe had no such comment to share on the skin-changers when they mocked their lateness. Instead stood quietly by her father’s flank, risking a weary glance to see if he dared to share a comment or two or perhaps a smile creeping across his own lips. If he did, she didn’t notice it. This were the first close encounter she were allowed to attend with skin-changers and so far, no-one spoke well of them but she held on to her own belief that beyond their beastly reputation there were humanity, a talented warrior and hunter with superior survival instincts and an incredible unique gift.

Upon a roar announcing his entrance, Athelia’s gaze shifted to the lion, her heart thumping beneath her chest in anticipation. He approached the Lord of Nelmos absent of hesitation or any second thought, twisted between animal and man, growling directly at him then Athelia herself, causing her lips to press in a line and harden her eyes but otherwise remain composed. Her eyes were trained untrustingly on the Beserker before the Griffon entered in a much more civil manner. He were the better kind to support Athelia’s mind set on skin-changers. They didn’t have to be warm-hearted and loving people nor did she expect them to be. Though she weren’t expecting to be growled at or threatened either. Certainly, tension were predicted yet so soon through the source of intimidation... and she felt it only escalate when her father disappeared behind the stone with the other royals.

The blue doe eyes beheld by the Princess of Nelmos shifted to her wise companion, whom informed her while antagonizing the Skin-Changer Prince, of his typical rogue-like behavior. Her eyes lowered somewhat disappointedly on Morganna’s horse. That was perhaps what she should come to expect of the skin-changers.

Happy to oblige her petite appearance that suggested elements of naivety and weakness, she did not move from Bane’s protective stance or speak. Being passive for now would work to their favour. It was when assumptions of Athelia were a great advantage and she had been playing by it successfully in many circumstances. This would be no different. Though the idea of an apology from such people were abstract. Athelia’s lips could have twitched up into a smile. If not preoccupied on the possibility of the alliance being broken where it began in these ruins. All it took was one swift movement from either party.

It was undeniably a challenge of Morganna’s. The Red Witch had quite the reputation herself which the Princess of Nelmos admired to a degree. Sometimes she felt justice and matters could exceed what was necessary, though that was being a prosperous inquisitor. If no party interrupted, this were brewing to be one of those moments in which she would assume peace-maker and have to request Morganna by her side. Even though Morganna were making a famous point and warning not to cross the mages.

Neither human or dwarf wished to aid the situation so somewhat expectantly she looked to the Elves.

Meredine stood amongst the elves, standing straight and tall with her hands gracefully folded in front of her. Despite the informalities that were going on around her, Mer knew that Lady Tamardiel would have her head if she weren't just so. The elves were rather stringent of their proper ways and even though Meredine's mother had made a snarky comment toward the dwarfs, Meredine was expected to be as aloof and regal as possible.

Though Meredine seemed rather removed during the whole entrance of the skin-changers, there were hints of amusement and bewilderment on her face. For example, and though she would readily tell anyone that Dwarves are the lowest of races, the whispered words that literally every elf could hear from the dear Emron put a slight smile on her face. It seemed that the dwarves really were intimidated by the skin-changers. Mer looked to the ground to cover up the fact that she was snickering at the Dwarves and their behavior.

Her big green eyes found Lysanthir and gave him a look. Meredine and Lysanthir had known each other from so long that they could communicate with just the slightest of facial expression and body movement. At this point the heads of each kingdom were tucked away in a hidden meeting place, discussing the fate of the universe perhaps. Her eyes were then brought upon the rather curious Ross who, despite Meredine's annoying attraction for, was a good friend. She smiled to herself, knowing that now her mother was gone she could become herself.

The attention that Meredine held was brought to the quarrel between Talzon and Morganna. Mer caught the eye of the young mage princess. Meredine had never met Athelia and therefore assumed that the young girls life was rather secretive and private. That was understandable, seeing as she was very beautiful and probably very powerful. The tricks that the mages played didn't fool Mer, so with a raised brow she shrugged her shoulders at Athelia. There really was nothing she could do at this point, this was between the skin-changers and the mages. Besides, Athelia could probably keep her own. If things were to escalate though, Mer was sure she would be able to bring Talzon back to the real world.

Getting a good look at everyone around her Meredine noticed the admiration of Athelia from both dwarven and human eyes. Mer finally moved from her position on the far side and made her way to Ross, leaving Lysanthir to do as he pleased. While crossing Emron's path Mer took a quick detour, "I think you might be drooling," she said to him coolly. Meridian's eyes sparkled with amusement before she made her exit. "Now don't think about it too hard, you might hurt yourself, Emron."

With that Mer walked over to Ross who was asking Iliana for advice. Interrupting anything that the warrior woman might have said Meredine spoke, "Yes, it would be. And I wouldn't get in the middle of that right now." Mer crossed her arms and smiled at Ross, "But if you want to get your head ripped off by Talzon then be my guest," she said as a jest, but with serious overtones.

The gathering is quiet, tense in waiting for the arrival of the Skin Changers. Iliana is quite the type to try and break such silence if in a less important setting, but with the Queen at her side remains silent in waiting, hand rested lightly on the hilt of her blade. When bringing together the different peoples of the land, one must be wary of the many rivalries between them. One thing can be certain, if some fool is to start a fight, Iliana will gladly step in and end it. The first to speak is a dwarf. Iliana has always been interested in dwarves and their abilities with technology and forging, something not unexpected form a blacksmith's daughter. Her father used to claim he was once taught a few tricks by a passing dwarf, though this is something that she thinks may have been made up for her childhood amusement.

"One pair of leg closes, and another opens?" The comment is aimed towards her, and while a guard behind her frowns, for her part the captain snorts. "I'm sure that can be heard in the taverns of any people," she responds, finding his warping of the common saying to be reasonably amusing. Upon saying it, she realizes that better tact ought have been used in the presence of the Queen, but her majesty says nothing on the topic, perhaps thinking that to do so might encourage further tension among the two parties. For her part, Iliana does not know what shall happen to them in the coming days, but likely it is in her best interest not to start fights with those whom she is on at least neutral terms with. At the thought, her eyes flick over towards the Mages. She has no problem with the young princess, but her Inquisitor is another matter entirely. At the sight of Morganna her mouth seems to tighten slightly with the effort to keep her expression relatively neutral.

Morganna begins speaking in a less than flattering manner in regards to the Skin Changers, lecturing the young princess. While Iliana is somewhat neutral on them as a whole, the mouth which speaks the words are enough to make her somewhat defensive of them. The enemy of one's enemy (although politically an ally) is one's friend, as it were. The exchange is enough to distract the young woman from Ross's curiosity towards the Royal Mage, but quite fortunately the Elven Princess quickly nears to answer in her stead. Appropriately, as Iliana herself would have been quick to ward the prince away from nearing Morganna. She'll likely do so for the entire journey. Iliana is a warrior, after all, not a diplomat, and in her lack of courtly skills it shows greatly. If the Princess can be found unaccompanied, she'd be more than happy to encourage conversation, but this is not currently the case.

"It is not Talzon I'd be concerned about- I'm sure his honor, at least, can be relied upon," Iliana disagrees, voice loud enough such that Morganna should be able to hear the clear jab against her. It likely will not bother the mage, who has no qualms with her own means of getting things done, but to be called dishonorable is something Iliana considers a great insult. This difference in perception is much of the reason for the very thick line drawn between the mage and human escorts.

She studies the scene a moment longer. It is difficult, but for now she can prevent herself from saying anything more. Still, her body remains tense as she watches the two of them, ready to jump in and do her best to pull them apart should anything happen. Morganna would be no worse for wear if she gained a few bruises and scratches, unfortunately.

"And how are you today, Your Highness?" she asks Mer, but still her eyes are less than subtly on the mages and skinchangers.

Ahuiliztli was not one to ever be seen in the absolute front. There were two places she stood with her pack, and it was either in the back or in the middle. Though the woman was never in the front doesn't mean that she wasn't able to be in the front with the others. That wasn't the issue at all you see, when you are in the front it is where everyone expects you to be the best of the best, no flaws. Ahuiliztli was far from one of the people that makes mistakes and she would rather not have everyone she is around to simply witness what she had just done, embarrassment was not something she likes to deal with at al and will do quite a bit to actually try and avoid it from happening to her.

She happened to be a dark blonde colored wolf. Her fur coat was an unusual one, though it did match her hair color when she was a human. Her wolf was a rather large one and her paws beat against the ground. Her wolf symbolized her personality in nearly ever way, by the looks she appeared to simply be a menacing wolf that would not hesitate when it comes to showing someone who she was and was not someone to play around with. The faster she move the more her claws would dig into the ground leaving her paw prints where ever she happened to step, but they were late. Timing happened to be something they really lacked today and it showed quite a bit in their appearance. They were going to a meeting, though they had started out may have seemed as if they hadn't had a place to even be that moment. The moment they happened to arrive it was as if they were being stared at as predators. It honestly amused the female as she looked through them all, but upon seeing the mages she let out a low growl not many of them could hear. Out of everything that was to take place she knew that the worst part would happened to be dealing with the mages. She had an utter dislike for them if it wouldn't have showed already.

The piercing roar was heard and she knew the sound and who it was coming from. Talzon was one the more so his hatred for the others and if she was a human everyone would clearly be able to see the smirk on her face. Ahuiliztli happened to be a bit more...Disclosed when she would show her animosity towards other people. Her hazel brown scanned everyone else as if she was threatening them to make a move. She still happened to be amused by the way they all stood, nearly as if they were thinking they all would attack on sudden notice. Just as she finished eying everyone she heard the piercing screech of their king. It was an undeniable one and this had to be the worst part of it all, and she happened to show a sign of resistance. Though she would be forced to return to her human form she was never pleased with it. While others would have shifted automatically it took her a few seconds longer before her body began to bend and break until she was taking on her human appearance in front of an audience this time.

The blonde woman was keeling on the ground for a moment before she stood up and faced the othes once again. Her blonde hair was thick and wavy, she made no intention of pleasing anyone's eyes while there. She shifted her bones stretching a small bit hearing a new pops come from her body, but her face twitched at the woman's comment. Her dislike for the skin changers actually did amuse her when she had thought about it all. But the fact that she spoke ill of Talzon in her eyes made her fire back. Ahuiliztli only adds fuel to a flame and at this rate it wouldn't end up all that well. She moved and she was near her prince though not too close. Her eyes seemed to glance quite a bit at the woman who stood by the Princess of Nelmos. "Is...The bloody bitch asking for a fight?" She whispered to herself balling her hands up and glancing at Talzon for a moment. A few people began to talk, though she could careless about them. To hell with this all, it wasn't a party therefore she had no need to talk and act as if she was somewhat pleased to be here. But the woman kept to herself, her mouth thankfully staying shut for once.

Lysanthir stood beside Meredine as straight as a board. He didn’t feel at ease in this situation. He kept wanting to reach for his blades resting nicely on his hip but that would only increase the hostility he could practically taste in the air around them. There was way too much tension between enemy lines. How could this meeting go peacefully if everyone was already trying to slit each other’s throats? And if this tension wasn’t bad enough, the Skin-Changers were late. Why were they late? Had they come across some sort of trouble that would detain them? He hadn’t often dealt with Skin-Changers but he didn’t consider them an untrustworthy bunch. They had to be here soon! They couldn’t get on with this meeting without them. He had work to do and new recruits to train back home.

The elf heard something coming towards the little meeting area then and turned his gaze to see a mighty lion walking in as if he owned the place. He was a magnificently large creature. His coat and mane where rich. Even the scars on the creature’s body seemed to add to the royal air to the beast. Lysanthir couldn’t help but admire the lion’s appearance. And then it began to shift into the form of a man. The beast prowled right towards the mages and let loose a roar. Lysanthir winced. He was sure his ears were going to be ringing after such a voluminous declaration of loathing. It was a fierce display if a little over the top. It was no secret that Skin-Changers and the mages of Nelmos did not get along, but this whole gathering was based on all of their ability to work together. Starting a fight now would do nothing for them.

Within seconds, the king entered the scene from the sky and screeched his command to his fellows. Immediately, all of the Skin-Changers took human form. It really was an intriguing sight. He had never seen so many of them transform at the same time. The whole process interested him and if he could, he’d love to sit down with them and just ask them about their whole process. It seemed to deny all possibility. Ross would probably join him in that venture and write down everything they said and make a book out of it. Lysanthir tried not to smile at that thought. He didn’t want anyone taking the smile the wrong way. He had nothing personally against the mages and truly, knew very little of them. Especially of their princess. He heard of the Inquisitor’s deeds, but those were truly just rumors. He wanted to avoid making enemies.

Lysanthir glanced at the dwarves then. He didn’t much care for Jorgon. He was the typical judgmental dwarf and he wanted very little to do with him. Him and his king. They were the reason that dwarves and elves couldn’t negotiate and discuss calmly with each other. Emron on the other hand… that prince gave him hope of a different future. When the prince in question offered him a small smile, Lysanthir returned his gaze with a small nod in greeting. Though he didn’t like to be fake, this situation called for delicacy and showing that he was on friendly terms with a dwarf would make others question his involvement. Emron’s finely crafted dagger pressed lightly against his breast in reminder of their first meeting. Not even Meredine knew about the Dwarven blade he had acquired from the young prince when Lysanthir hadn’t realized the man was royalty. At the time, Emron was just a blacksmith to him and they had bonded over their craft. Lysanthir brought his attention back to the actual meeting when he saw all the kings and queens leave them to enter a private deliberation room.

Now that he wasn’t bound by formality, Lysanthir gave a sigh of relief and that easy smile appeared on his lips. He followed after Meredine until they reached Ross and Iliana. Lysanthir chuckled at Ross and easily settled an arm around the young prince’s shoulders.

”Unfortunately, Mer is right. It is quite rude, Ross. Save those questions for another time.” Lysanthir turned his gaze to look at Ahuiliztli appreciatively. ”I see someone much more enticing anyway,” he said softly with a little chuckle. He didn’t think he’d get anywhere near the Skin-Changer, but he could always try. He wondered if Talzon had already laid claim to her. ”Ross, I am surprised you didn’t want to talk to the Skin-Changers to learn about their shifting. I was watching them the whole time.”

Though he was allowing himself to relax a little, Lysanthir’s mind still trailed to the mages. The mages and the Skin-Changers were still hostile and the room was filled with tension. Without the Skin-Changer king to settle things, who could reign back Talzon? He was a fierce creature and Lysanthir didn’t doubt that if worse came to worse, they’d have a hard fight on their hands. Lysanthir had already marked out avenues of escape. He was not going to let Mer or Ross get injured. He was sure Iliana would help him get the two out of harm’s way and Emron… well he was sure the prince would fight and fight honorably, but he would find a way to get him to safety if things got bad. If anything, he wanted Emron to ascend to the throne and perhaps improve racial relations. And he did like Emron. Emron was a good fellow. Even for a dwarf.

Upon Meredine's comment, Emron reached without looking to his chin where he was thankful to find she was not telling him the truth. Emron muttered a curse about the lack of one's sympathies or cares.

Emron watched as he thought he saw Athelia looking to the elves for something that didn't appear to come. Emron looked to Jorgan for advice before taking a deep breath and standing. "Surely we need not prove the human queen right. We all know she doubted we could keep from each others throats," Emron stated with a smile as he tried to ease the tension that was as taught as a rubber band.

"Perhaps we could discuss something less... touchy..."
Emron stated as a matter of factly. He had no trouble meeting the eyes of each member of the group though he did give the same smile to each member of the group though he craved to give the princess something more. He used the skills he had earned over the years dealing with father in order to hide his emotions that he was really feeling.

Ross considered the words of Meredine as she joined him and Iliana. Ross nodded thoughtfully. He huffed silently as he ran a hand through his hair and looked in the group's direction as the dwarf prince joined the group.

Ross sighed. "I suppose I shall like to keep my head. Fine, I shall appease myself by talking to you," Ross said with the same overtones that Meredine herself had used. He had recognized Mer's joking behavior though only because of his practice with both her and Lysanthir. Otherwise, he was sure he would have looked at her and thought her horrible or crazy.

Ross felt an arm around his shoulder and suppressed the flutter that he sort of felt in his chest. In all honesty, he wasn't sure what he felt for Lysanthir. He passed it off as just friendship, royal politics gifting him with the ability to hide his true feelings. Ross sighed as Lysanthir agreed with those that seemed against him.

"What is it with you? Of course I was watching the shifters though I've been able to read about the basic idea as to why they shift. I have yet to understand anything of magic since unlike you elves, I can't perform any," Ross muttered.

Ross looked to Iliana as she began speaking. He nodded at her reasoning though he heard a huff from the dwarf prince as he seemed to hear Iliana as well. Ross immediately ceased nodding and again discovered an incredible interest in the sky.

"Really Iliana, goad them on. Give them reason to attack us and try to destroy everything I hold near and dear. My books." Ross stated as he placed a hand on Iliana's shoulder with a mournful groan that was only loud enough for Meredine and Iliana to hear.

Ross looked up as he heard someone sound like they were challenging the mages. He sucked in a breath inaudibly as he watched only to see the dwarf again step in.

"Perhaps not lady Ahuilztli," Emron stated softly, low and serious. "We need not fight each other when these qualms are... Merely that of our species' relationships?" Emron stated, his tone going up at the end as he made the last part more of a question than a statement since he wasn't sure he was going into the right area with his words.

Ross smiled at the dwarf's attempt. He really was trying to be diplomatic, but it wasn't working out for him. He leaned into Iliana as he whispered, knowing Mer would still hear it, "Should I try to help maybe?" Ross asked, honestly wanting to help but not entirely sure if the social exchange was one that he would help with or destroy.

Ross looked at Mer too, hoping she might have a contribution to answering him as well. His tone showed he was quite sure he didn't want to join in since he was so inexperienced with anything but pure political debating of relationships.

Ross found his thoughts muddled as he again realized Lysanthir was touching him. He was bi curious though his mother would beat him to hear it. He had only ever told one person and she was beside him and of his own species. Ross found that he was definitely interested in trying to figure out the shifters now though he did not announce it as his gaze turned to the shifters as he attempted to hide his thoughts from the others. He wondered briefly if Iliana knew where his thoughts were before pushing the idea away in hopes to keep her from seeing any hint of his thoughts.

"Perhaps we could look at the first herb potion he had created successfully that worked. You were right Lysanthir. A certain hurt blacksmith apprentice was so joyful to find that he wasn't going to be in bed for weeks with the wound he earned from touching a hot weapon accidentally," Ross stated with a little more light happiness in his tone.

ImageIn the lack of assistance received, she rolled her eyes. It were true that if you wanted something done, you’d best do it yourself. “Morganna, please,” she prompted gently. “For now I can function without apology.” Nothing but words of diversion from war to call back her companion from her high state and soothe her own nerves. She hated ruins as it were and she didn’t need an additional escalated issue. Yet, the wild woman lacked hushed words perhaps re-provoking Morganna. It were well established that the skin-changers still had feud with the mages and it worked vice versa for the most part.
This meant Athelia would probably have to delay her queries on the skin-changers and not quite be able to stroke her fingers through their fur and animal forms as soon as she’d like.

Yet the dwarf prince had attempted aid with fairness. Lack of experience to the exterior world may have drove her to least expect such political words coming from a dwarf. She only had their wits, flirting nature and small size shaping their stereotype. She smiled pleasantly surprised for a moment before re-attending the matter at hand.
"We may find time will pass easier if we were to restrain from breaching each others temper and pride. Including personal space," she added, directed at the prince of the skin-changers. Talzon.

With a gentle breath out, she sought the other engaging personalities to interact with. The Princess never roamed as much as she liked and she were best to make an opportunity out of it. She would have liked to of approached the humans if they hadn’t looked at the mages in such a calculating, curious manner. They seemed content in the company of the Elves nonetheless which circled to fascination in the skin-changers. Athelia knew that look and spark of temptation well.

Thus remained the dwarves. She looked to the skin-changers as she passed, wishing for a different first impression yet prepared to defend herself and any other mage before looking to the dwarven prince, a much more gentler expression on her features. “May I sit with you and your companion?” Besides, it were more polite than standing over Emron and talking to him. On some level she wished to adopt their admirable at ease demeanor. And of course, hoped to thank Emron in turn.

"Respect is something earned, not demanded through bloodlines or titles. Only those worthy of it get it." Talzon replied to the red witch's demand of an apology. He looked over to his second-in-command, and sighed slightly. "Don't worry about her. She isn't worth our energy. And let us not sully this place with mage blood." He stated to Ahuiliztli. He could feel the looks he got from everyone, not just the mages. He could tell they were rather fearful of him, and were hesitant about what he was going to do next. He slightly grinned at this. He wouldn't have it any other way.

Jorgon stroked his beard, and nodded his head in agreeance with Emron on changing the subject. "Yes, we should change the subject. I've got the strangest rash on my-" Jorgon started to say but he was interupted by the arrival of the mage princess. "...Toe. The rash on my toe." He said with a grin trying to save face. "Of course my dear you can sit with us! You're already making the conversation a hundred percent better." He smirked with a charming smile followed by a raised eyebrow as if he was proposing something.

Talzon walked past the Dwarves, and the Princess, and rolled his eyes at Jorgon. "Hmm....Oh better subject!" Jorgon said as he raised his hand up. "Hey tall, dark, and hairy hold up!" He said as he stood in front of Talzon. And just then realized the tremendous height difference. "Wow, what do they feed you people? Anyways I have a scholarly question about the Skin-Changers if you'd indulge me." He stated, still with his smile on. Talzon groaned, and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, when you Skin-Chargers are rutting do you ever change into animals during? Does that count as beastality? Do your Skin-Charger lasses prefer you animal forms?"

"We're done here." Talzon groaned, and then he walked away from Jorgon. "What? Like no one else was wondering about it." Jorgon replied to the strange looks he got from the other Dwarves. Talzon walked over to Meredine who was with the humans. "Mer, how are you today?" He asked in a much more friendly demeanor. He looked back at the mage princess breifly, and then he returned his gaze back to his friend. "What do you know of this Athelia?" He asked. He was rather curious about her, she didn't seem to have the same reaction to him as the other mages.

At Iliana's comment Meredine smirked. Yes, Talzon may be the most intimidating prince, but he was taught to be loyal. The skin changers were rather scary to the other races, Mer understood that, but they honestly were one of the most dedicated people of this world. Lysanthir had joined the group now and spoke with that little flirtatious look in his eye, this both amused and annoyed Meredine. There really were no boundaries for that elf, hell, Mer couldn't think of a time when Lysanthir wasn't pursuing his next lover. For now Mer would continue to ignore Lysanthir's fun with Ross and his comment about Ahuiliztli, just as she had been ignoring it for the past hundred years.

Keeping tabs on the collection of conversations around her Mer seemed distracted when the warrior woman spoke directly to her. "Well I suppose I'm doing better then that poor mage princess," Mer started, "she looks rather helpless over there." It was unlike Meredine to stay put and watch as such quarrels spun around her, but she promised her mother that she would keep a quiet facade, at least for the time being. "And no," she began again, speaking to Ross who sweetly asked if he should help. "This argument they're having is as old as time itself. There's really no point in trying to remedy it, this is just what the mages and the skin-changers do." With that she leaned against a fallen tree, stretching out the stiffness of her royal duties.

While resting there she smirked at the dwarves conversation, or whatever you might call that. Despite her rather potent distaste for the dwarves she did have to admit they were rather funny. Or maybe that was just the way they were and Meredine just found it comedic. Either way their company was more entertaining then she had anticipated. However, she still wasn't sure she'd enjoy them for as long as this meeting may take.

Talzon approached her, fed up with the racy question from Jorgon. Mer laughed at his irritation before standing up straight and greeting him with a peck on the cheek despite their semi-formal setting. "I'm well, she said brightly "I see you're making a good first impression." With that comment Mer gave him a little bit of the eye, expressing her subtle disapproval.

Mer now sat on top of the fallen tree as she answered Talzon's second question. "I know nothing of her. She's been hidden rather well... I mean, look at her. I would do the same if I were her father." Mer took as mental step back, there was no need to judge this girl on her appearances. "Though I'm sure she's a powerful little mage," Mer said with a glance over at Athelia and the dwarves.

Well, it seemed clear that friends weren't exactly won on the first impression. Then again Skin-Changers loathed Mages and the feeling was distinctly mutual between the two. The sparks bouncing around Morganna's fizzled out at the gentle words of her Lady despite the faint crimson dancing around her brooch at the barely concealed words from the female Skin Changer as well as more delicately placed insult from Iliana. Then again that wasn't anything new given that the solider was precisely the type of person Morganna found extremely difficult to work with..a walking bleeding heart. A faint smile came to her face as the Princess delicately danced around the tension with calming words. The girl had become quite clever with a fondness for the illusionary arts something that Morganna had little patience for.

Her hands tightened around Bane's reins at the harsh retort from Talzon, but she held her tongue out of respect for her Princess. Her temper flared up slightly at the insult towards Athelia as if a beast knew the true nature of the young girl who could easily turn his lion skin into a nice rug for her bedroom. A faint smirk came onto her face at the thought, if the negotiations between the royals broke down, it would be such a shame for that apology to never be given. Scoffing quietly as she could practically feel the arrogance flooding off the wild Prince. Such bold displays would merely be bravado in court, that true fear came from only silent obedience. Morganna was starting understand why the Skin-Changer's form was that of a lion..lazy animals ruling with an illusion of power and fear.

The tension was soothed as an inquiring Jorgan of the race's sexual nature. Unbidden a faint flush came to her face as long since passed memories came to surface. There were a few courting habits that would be considered out of place in the realm of man..but perfectly nature in the animal world as shown to her by Erwin. The man did have fondness for running his fingers through her hair after sessions like a bird would do to groom it's mate. A faint wave of sadness washed over her as her hand touched a single strand of crimson hair. Shaking her head angrily at the thought as she focused on the present. Blushing in front of enemies would do her little good, really now was she just some air-headed twit instead of the Inquisitor?

It took a large amount of courage to even question such a thing from even the most rational skin-changer. The dwarf with the locks of gold definitely would be one to keep an eye on. Bane merely tossed his head in discomfort of standing still for so long..or was the Skin-Changer scent? Regardless of the reason, the proud beast let out a snort of relief as Morganna dismounted and gave the horse's snout a gentle pat. As she did so, her doe eyes glanced at Jorgan before stating calmly You know, I am sure many have asked that question before. Although I doubt many live to tell the answer...you must be a very lucky man." Crouching down to examine the horseshoes of her steed as she posed a scholarly question of her own "Tell me, Master Dwarf is there any difference between man-made horseshoes and those of your people? I am afraid I haven't had much time to spend among your people, although I have seen a few wares made by your smiths. Utterly delicate things, but truly beautiful to behold. Then again many things can claim that in this vast world." Bane let out a small whiny of impatience, but was willing to put up with the change in his stance.

The dwarf before her was quite interesting given his brash, if uncouth mouth. There was something rugged about his appearance in comparison to his Prince, it was surprisingly charming in a different sort of way. Even the man's accessories were something that she would be interested in hearing about as the multitude of beads shined softly in the light. Besides it would be worth learning about the fellow members of the party that didn't already distrust her.

Of course, if Princess Meredine has neared the humans it is simply a matter of course that Lysanthir will be directly behind her. He is, in many ways, to the princess what Iliana is to Prince Ross. A close friend and a protector. Their similar relationships to two people who have developed a friendship is how they came to be acquainted in the first place, in fact. Otherwise, Liana would scarcely imagine to count an elf among her closer friends. She nods to him as he nears the party, speaking in agreement with she and Mer, although his reasoning sides more closely with Mer's than with Liana's. They do not bear the same grudge that the human woman does against the Inquisitor, and thus speak more in terms of diplomacy than distrust. For this, their opinions are far more reliable, where Liana's is clouded. It is fortunate that two different paths converged despite this.

At the arm around the prince, Liana's gaze immediately moves to Ross's face. Iliana is quite certain she is the only one in whom Ross has confided in regarding his confusion towards Lysanthir, and thus may be the only one whose mind immediately grazes such matters. There seems to be a very slight change in Ross's face, but of course it is entirely possible that Liana has imagined it, given it soon disappears. She is not always the best at reading people, except their movements in a fight, but Ross is someone whom she has known for long enough to make his expressions more easily deciphered than words on a page. She raises an eyebrow at him very slightly, a motion meant only for the young prince's eyes before her expression returns to it's former state. "I wouldn't mind sparring with the female, personally, but I somehow doubt that's the inclination you speak of, Lysanthir. I've never fought a skin-changer, but I suppose one of them might easily crush me if I am not careful. I haven't had a decent fight since the two of us last met, I believe," Liana is perhaps one of few people who enjoys the thought of a fight in which she is crushed. They provide her with new goals, new moves to master. Winning is fun only if you've lost against the person before. That being said, Iliana does, less vocally, agree with Lysanthir in his appreciation of the female skin-changer's beauty. It is a warrior's grace- the best kind.

"Well, if it is for the sake of your books, Ross," Liana smiles fondly, regarding him as an older sister might a younger brother, with slightly less of the peskiness. She glances over towards the dwarves as the prince steps in to play the peacekeeper. She leans back into Ross, "Given we are not considered entirely neutral between those two, as a party, perhaps it is best to remain out of it unless the situation worsens. Next time."

Ross does not respond immediately, but a quick glance gives Liana the reason to why, though he is already in the progress of masking his face. He is still green, and has not mastered that expression of steel which his mother wears so expertly. The fond smile evolves into an amused sort of grin. It is difficult to resist a slight temptation to muss his hair, but in the interest of decorum she returns to her straightened posture. Her back stiffens slightly more when the Skin-changer prince nears them to speak with Meredine. Iliana has never seen him this close, and if being frank, considers his muscles entirely unfair. Train as hard as she might, Liana will never compare to people like him. At least Lysanthir is slender, allowing her not to feel so small.

Times like these she almost wishes she had been born into a people with advantages of magic or animal senses. Or that she had been born with more natural muscle, at least.

Emron found that the ability to speak left him as Athelia asked to sit with him and Jorgan. The princess backed him up! She was actually agreeing with Emron! He had taken her side first, but it still counts. He would argue it as much as it takes should Jorgan disagree later on.

Emron had been busy sighing to Jorgan, feeling as if though he was still defeated even if he did or did not prevent something bad from happening, he wasn't quite sure either way. Jorgan began talking about something that was rather... Emron wasn't quite sure how to describe it though he had the good grace to at least try to cover it up, though the repetition caused Jorgan to run his hand over his face. Having her ask though, it made him jump up. She was only slightly taller than him which was pretty amazing since he in general was supposed to be inches shorter. One of the tallest dwarves, Emron was thankful for his height even if he normally wasn't so self conscious.

"Of course, please. I beg you, anything to keep me from that talk," He says with a pleading smile before giving Jorgan a pointed look that said he still had no desire to hear of his rash later.

Emron seats himself next to the mage princess though at a distance that would be appropriate and allow him to make conversation that made sense. It was then tht Jorgan decided for yet another subject change and appeared to want an early death as he approached Talzon. As Jorgan says he has a scholarly question, Emron looks at his friend curiously. He already knows that whatever question it is, it is not a good one, yet Emron is curious what his friend has to ask.

That is, until his friends ask the question. He looks at the princess then to pass of the pretense of having never heard Jorgan so he could pretend he didn't hear Jorgan ask the question. "How are you doing princess?" Emron asks though he finds it to be a stupid question as soon as it leaves his mouth. He wants to bash his head in, feels as if Jorgan should just go ahead and do it now, but he gives a small smile that says he is genuinely interested. He isn't sure if his shyness towards her is visible, but prays it is not.

"I mean... How... I guess... I mean... How are you?" Emron finishes, realizing through his stuttering that he really wasn't asking a stupid question as he was really interested, not faking it at all. How was she doing? It was also a safe question.

Ross huffs as he is told not to assist. He knew they were only trying to advise him and help him and keep him safe, yet... It was as if he was the child. He was nearly Iliana's age. A few years younger yes, but not far enough behind that it was as if he was a child.

He knew Iliana would probably pick up on his temporary negative attitude before he had managed to hide it. He hated that he couldn't keep his feelings hidden constantly like his mother could. It was also just downright annoying.

"What skin changers and mages do... So skin changers and mages are like elves and dwarves, yet who are humans... Never mind," Ross states as if he figured it out. He really just didn't want to talk more if it gave the opportunity to put himself down more. He hated when he did it to himself, but it was easier to blame oneself when you knew it wasn't the fault of others. D*mn his reasoning.

Ross was too deep in thought of self loathing and excitement over Lysanthir's touch to listen to the dwarves or the mages or the skin changers until one approached the little group of elves and humans.

Ross silently raised a brow at Lysanthir in response to Mer giving Talzon a peck. It wasn't something that should surprise him as much as it did, but it did. He just wasn't really expecting it at the moment.

Ross considered Mer's words. Why was it that she believed Athelia's father had kept her hidden? She was rather pretty, though Ross did not feel himself attracted to the little mage nearly as much as the pretty elf beside him.

Ross caught Iliana's raised brow at him and found a sudden extreme interest in his shoulder that Lysanthir's hand happened to be on. His face reddened though Ross managed to keep most of the blush under control. Ross feigns hurt at Iliana's words of a lack of a decent fight for a long time. "Honestly, you couldn't have said it more terribly," Ross sighs with an over dramatic fake sniffle before wiping away a fake tear and looking at her with a lazy smile that was more common on his face.

Ross feels Iliana's words of him being younger more than ever when she gives him that look. He gets that they are family, but couldn't everyone perhaps treat him like he isn't so fragile? Or stupid? Or naive? Or perhaps he is just being stupid? Or Fragile? Or Naive? Ross inwardly kicks himself at his lack of knowing what he is feeling towards everyone today, other than Lysanthir, and his certainty that Iliana is still an amazing friend, one that just doesn't know his own, deeper thoughts at the moment.

"I swear, if we get through this encounter without a fight, it will be a miracle," Ross admits with a shrug and a raised brow as he marvels at the group's inability to communicate in a more civilized manner.

Ross looks to Iliana, begging with his eyes and nothing more for advice with Lysanthir as he looks at him with only his eyes so she at least has a general idea of what he is trying to communicate. Perhaps she could advise him what to do about his love life that seemed messed up and confusing at the moment.

The dwarves were a wise choice after all. Very enlightening and refreshing beings for Athelia. And to watch their exchange already brought a smile to her lips. Then again they might be the kind to handle in small doses. Their behavior were different than the formal treatment she were used to.
Her eyes widened with wonder of where the blonde dwarf were heading, seeking new subject of conversation. Whether he lacked a filter or he were incredibly brave were divided by a thin thread she imagined as he stood before Talzon. And his questions were particularly intrusive, almost causing her to gape. She looked from the blonde dwarf to Talzon, to Emron wondering how the skin-changer would react to the dwarf. Talzon seemed to pay it little attention before prowling to his preferable company. She made a quick glance at Morganna as her companion stated it were not such an odd thing to ask. There were a flash of deep thought, perhaps a wave of emotion, making Morganna look temporarily distant before she inquired on dwarven steel returning to the inquisitor that cared primarily for business and Bane – the woman and red witch most were familiar with.

Though curious to know more on her own companion’s past, present and future she had no right prodding her personal life. She re-focused on Emron who spoke to her, stumbling for the words at a second attempt. “I’m well. Thank you for your concern.” She smiled at his choice of different conversation that were not portrayed as at ease as the nature of the topic. “Despite there being stern watchful eyes on us,” she added. And sitting in very ruins. Though she weren’t about to confess she were slightly nerved to the Prince, particularly as she held her composure so well. “And how are you?” she asked.

It were true that dwarves were renowned for their technology and superior craftsmanship. Something Athelia knew so little about and the value in it. All the while her eyes wondered to the human guard, covered in gear. She were the most obvious example of a warrior; her stance by the prince, her armor, sword accessible. It were only left to assume she were a warrior woman well informed and trained on weapon wielding and armor. Where Athelia lacked knowledge is where Prince Farin's companion excelled. Most people beat her in understanding the importance of weapons and the fuss over what suited who better. It were something she couldn't grasp but one question at a time, or the dwarves would think it were an interrogation.

“Are you familiar with the royal companions present? I’m afraid I know little of everyone.” That certainly lacked subtly and the grace a Princess should have about her but it were bothering to be sustained in an area where she knew few names yet not enough. Even mentioning the others companions made her feel small and fragile. Recalling at brief glances of them all; the elf were tall, both Ahuiliztli and the human had some definition to them and the dwarf had the figure of a kind that suggested he could hold his own in combat or knock down a wall if he really wanted.

Quite frankly this meeting did seem to be of interest to the woman. It was rather fun in her own eyes watching as everyone seemed to converse between each other. Her eyes flickered from person to person in amusement. No one really caught her eyes much so she kept to herself for the most part of it all. She didn't mind it much, but the comment she made seemed to et a few reactions out of the others causing a faint smirk to follow up on her face. She wouldn't comment much at all and she found herself playing with her necklace. It was wrapped around her wrist like a bracelet and she played with the small charm on it. Her eyes dances around as she looked person from person, silently making her first judgements of them all, though she wouldn't singlehandedly just judge off of the way they look. A few had ready begun speaking and she paid special attention to it. She smiled to herself about the whole thing before her eyes traveled to the male that had spoken right after she had. Her eyes traveled down his frame, and she gave him a wink before turning away. That man certainly had guts, she liked it.

Ahuiliztli's eyes went directly towards the man known at Emron, her eyes showed a bit of curiosity as had spoken to her. She moved her hand brushing her blonde hair behind her shoulder. "I have to say you are the first to say something of intelligence that has come across my ear of interest." She stated as she looked at him. She thought once again before speaking once more to the male. "I've heard quite a nasty bit of rumors about the so called...Mages. Proven that a mage, most certain one that is accompanying the princess cannot speak in the right manner about us only makes me...Agitated. But relationships can always be restore, though it takes both parties to make the first step." She spoke addressing what he said in the manner she wanted. But after she was done speaking.

As Talzon talked to her she truly paid him no real mind at all. She could have cared less about it, though she dud agree to what he had beentelling her. When he finished she take a polite nod and began to listen to Jorgon. He humored her and she laughed softly before she approached him. The dwarves were people she had no problem conversing with, so she didn't feel out of her skin when she came to answer his question. "You ask odd questions, and they amuse me enough to give a response. She told him giving a smile his way. "Most don't change during, though if they were to change during their intercourse it would be before or after. In my eyes I think it would only count as beastality if one was still a human while the other in an animal." She told him before taking a breath when she was going to answer the question. "Would you like to know you really are a beast? You've been told that your whole life, and you realize what they say is true. I love being my animal, but I hate how others may seem to thing we are the beasts we change into." Ahuiliztli gave a confusing response and left it be. It wasn't her favorite topic and wouldn't go into detail with it.

Most would be able to tell that she is not one that likes to talk much at all. She looked around the area before she found herself taking a seat close, but not too close to the others. She didn't come to make friends, and her attitude was different in comparison to the others. But another woman caught her eyes. She wouldn't mind sparring with another woman aye? She looked at her for moments time before she turned away again and began to simply listen to the conversations at hand. They weren't enough to make her want to join in, bu she enjoyed simply listening in. Her face was neutral, though in her eyes she had something more to them, something that actually held something in them.

Jorgon turned to face the redheaded mage as she spoke to him, with a devilish smile crossing his lips. "Well, my dear, that is our loss." He smirked at her statement about not being around the Dwarves that often. "Yes, Dwarven craft is superior. No offense my lady, but we've got acsess to the better metals, and ores from deep within the mountians. Much stronger than any metals you have here on the surface." He stated with a note of pride. "And as for being lucky, being around such visons of loveliness as you Miss Firea, and your Princess Athelia, and Miss Jiklo, I would imagine myself as so." He stated with a satisfied grin. She hadn't told him her name, but he knew already. He was a Spymaster after all.

Talzon accepted Mer's peck with the slightest of smiles. "What can I say, I like to make an entrance." He said with a slight joking air to him. Vastly different then how he was acting before. He listened as his friend told him what little she knew about the Mage Princess, even though he could already guess what she told him. "Yes, she is quite......pretty." He stated, his gaze almost piercing through her. "For a mage of course." He said as he turned to face Mer, but he would glance over to the princess infreqently.

"Well if you need some information about our fellow....party goers, you simply had to ask." He smirked as he leaned beside Athelia against a ruined old pillar. "Where should we start......Oh! My favorite subject, me! I'm Jorgon Glarson, inventor, adventurer, Majestic Lion and lover extraordinaire." He stated as he pointed to himself. "Of course you know the Baby Child here, Emron." He said as he lightly patted him on the head, treating him almost like a kid.

"Let's see......um the Humans, Prince Ross, and....um....Captain Iliana I believe. The Elves..." Once he mentioned the Elves he groaned in disgust. "The redheaded lass is the princess, Meredine. And the flat chested lass with her is Lysanthir....wait that's a man. Those are some very delicate features for a male." He explained. "And of course we have our furry friends. Tall, dark, and sullen over there is Talzon the Berserker as I'm sure you're well aware of. Hmm.....do ladies really find that broody, and mystery type that attractive?" He asked as he rubbed his chin. "Perhaps I should start acting that way." He muttered. "Oh, and his companion Ahuiliztli. Impressed?"

Soon the stone opened up as the rulers stepped out of the meeting room. They all stepped out, and each went to their own courners of the room, and each gave a look at their children to come, and meet with them. Talzon went over to his father of course, being readily at his side. "Talzon, Ahuiliztli, you two must embark on an journey with the other royals here, and their companions. This task is of the upmost importance, and must be handled with the greatest of hast." Carnell stated as he placed his hand on his son's shoulder, and smiled proudly at him. "But.....of course father. Whatever you wish." Talzon was a little apprenhensive at this, but he figured his father knew best.

"Allow me to go say goodbye to my men." Carnell gave a nod of approval, and let him go. "Ahuiliztli, a moment if you please. I would like to ask something of you. I know this goes without saying, but will you please look after Talzon. I know he is very powerful, and doesn't need it, but he is still my son, and I still worry about him." He asked with a concerned look.

"Lads, come here." Graven ordered as he placed his hands on the shoulders of Emron, and Jorgon. "You'll be going on a venture with the other children, and their companions. But remember, no matter what you two are family, and family must trust one another over all others." He stated in a serious tone. "Of course father, as you wish." Jorgon replied in a surprisingly serious tone as well. He held great respect towards his adoptive father, and would do anything for him.

"Mereline, Lysanthir. You two are going to venture out with the other royals, and their companion. And Mereline, always remember, you represent the Elves wherever you go. So do keep that in mind." She stated rather coldly, and calmly. She trusted that she didn't need words of endearment to give her daughter.

"Ross, my darling little boy." Malan said as she placed her hand on Ross's cheek, and rubbed it with her thumb. "You are stronger than you know my boy, you are my son after all. You were born to lead, let no one tell you different. Ever." She added. She then looked over to Iliana. "You two are to accompany the others on a journey. Be careful."

"Athelia, you are to accompany the others, along with Morgianna of course." Dyron rather bluntly stated. "Remember to trust no one. Especially not those....savages." He said as he glared over at the Skin-Changers, clearly showing his distain towards them.

Once all their goodbyes were said Queen Malan walked to the center of the room, drawing all attention towards herself. "Alright, you will journey to the farest reaches of our realm, to the mountians in the north. There you will find a cave at the higest peak. From there we cannot say, for we don't know." She explained. "We trust in you this task." And with that she, and the other rulers left to their homes with their forces that arrived, leaving the royals, and their companions in the ruined temple.

Talzon looked around at the others. "We best get going, we need to make as much headway towards the mountians as possible before we lose the daylight. It will be harder for you to travel in the dark." He said, taking charge. "Oh? And who died, and made you boss?" Jorgon stated as he folded his arms. "You, if you don't shut up. I know these woods better than any of you, I can get us there."
