In the days leading up to 2012, people spoke of the end of days. Prophecies told the world would end, and with the state the world was in, many believed them to be true. But 2012 did not bring the end of the world, merely the end of an age. In 2012, everything changed. The basis of the myths of magic, and mythological creatures, a sub-dimension connected to the Earth known as Faerie, returned, its connection that had been broken centuries ago, became re-established. The mystical begun to slowly and subtly weave its way back into the world. In 2015 first contact was made, alien life was proven, and with it came a brave new world. Alien contact slowly began to grow in prevalence, and its influence began to grow similarily. In 2030 the first recorded "superhuman" came to be known, as humanity evolved in a number of subtle ways. Dubbed mutants after their comic book counterparts, these people were the next step in human evolution, as some began to develop abilities beyond the human realm, but still within their evolutionary track. It was in 2040 that the first Superheroes made their way onto the world stage, along with their villainous counterparts. Many were ordinary men and women reacting to the changing world around them, becoming as fantastic as the world they now lived in. Some few were humans learning to control magic, aliens from beyond the stars, and some were of the human sub-species known as mutants. Now, in the year 2050, the Earth is an entirely new world, grown beyond itself in a few short decades. The question you must ask yourself is this; where will you stand, what will you do in this Brave New World?
