Personality

Akira is calm and quiet, mature beyond his years because of the hardships of growing up without a family. He has a strong protective instinct for those he develops and connection to; even to the point of risking his life for them. Sometimes he can be overconfident, and has a habit of lying to protect people from a hurtful truth. Akira tends to take on tasks by himself so that others will not be injured in the process, taking the full burden on himself.

Equipment

Buso Renkin:

* Number of Kakugane: XXCVII
* Name of Buso Renkin: Aegis Fang
* Form of Buso Renkin: Image
* Special Attribute: Aegis Fang calls on Akira's natural instinct to protect those he cares for the most. The kakugane takes on the form of a suit of white and gold armor that is almost impenetrable. His strength and agility also increase though the armor somewhat limits how fast he can move. Another part of his Buso Renkin is a large silver claymore with a double edged blade that can cut through most materials.

History

Age: 16
Background: Akira is an orphan, born to a three month deceased father and a mother who died during child birth. Another unlucky fate was that Akira's family did not have an close relatives. Because of this, Akira grew up in St. Mariya's Orphanage. While he was in the orphanage, more kids began to end up in St. Mariya's. The small group of seven children grew close and quickly became friends, feeling they had something in common; the knowledge of being alone in the world. Akira was the oldest of the group and before long he became like an older brother, always watching out for his friends and keeping them out of trouble. They even started calling him Onii-chan. They were like family. Then one day Akira's world was changed. A nearby infestation of homunculi attacked the boarding school he and his friends were attending. They tried everything to kill their monstrous attackers and nothing seemed to work. That is until an unknown student appeared and began fighting them. Alone he reduced them to one, a large homunculus that seemed stronger than the rest. The two fought for what seemed like forever, but they seemed to come to a draw. Then the homunculus struck when the fighter was off guard. Moving on pure instinct, unable to watch the student die, Akira jumped in front of the attack, knocking the fighter away, and was pierced through the heart.
