Description

Ritter stands at a height of 6ft 5' and supports a head of long black hair that hangs down to his shoulders. He bears a noticeable tan, which is odd for someone who wears so much armor. He is in excellent physical condition, mainly due to the fact that he trains during most of his free time. From looking at him, one would say he looks to be in his middle thirties. He bares scars all over his body from many variants of weaponry from arrows, and swords all the way to ancient puncture wounds from flails. The most noticeable scar is located on his chest; a long slice starting from his left shoulder, that makes its way down to his lower torso. His face switches in between a serious expression and his usual emotionless state. His carries himself with a strong stance, always on edge and ready to defend himself if need be. When out of his armor he carries his longsword with him.

Personality

He usually remains silent, observing his surrounding and the others around him and he spends most of his time training and honing his skills. When in conversation, he remains serious and focuses on the subject at hand, but shows compassion in certain situations. He demonstrates complete chivalry as a true knight would, putting honor, bravery, and piety above greed, temptation, and selfishness. When speaking, his voice is monotone, stern and slightly intimidating. He carries no emotion with him when speaking but can be seen smiling on occasion to some of the jokes the soldiers would tell during times of leisure. Hidden beneath his hollow shell lies a heart that's been buried deep by his dark past. Slowly, the heart starts to show itself more as Ritter becomes more accustomed to the faces and people of Kenern.

Establishing friendships and trusts seems difficult for Ritter because of his ominous and sudden appearance. He doesn't seem to care about forming friendships with the other soldiers, although a few of the warriors who stand out catch his interest. He seeks to prove his alliance to Kenern with or without the trust of the others.

Equipment

He wears a very unique suit of armor, most noticeably being his helmet.

Ritter Diederich's equipment:

Grey plate armor covering him from head to toe, leaving very few weak spots.
Chain mail above the plate from his lower torso to his knees, and covering his arms, neck, and other weak points in his armor.
Chain mail underneath of his plate armor, offering even more protection, at the cost of agility and mobility.
Carries a fine longsword with the words 'Hände des Schicksals' engraved onto it. The sword is made of a very rare metal that does not corrode, deteriorate, or lose its sharpness.
Along with his sword, he carries a short dagger with him.
Over his armor, he wears a white tunic that ends at his knees with a golden Potent cross on the chest.
A long white cape with fur covering the shoulders. The cape is held together by two steel plates and chains.
He wears a gray and golden great helm with a liftable face plate. Two angelic wings... or as some may view them to be, demonic horns rise from the helmet. This sight may inspire awe and fear in those who oppose Ritter.

History

Little is known of Ritter Diederich. He comes from a foreign land, yet astonishingly knows the native language of Kenern quite well. In fact, he knows many languages and dialects, which may lead some to believe he's traveled great distances in the past. It's obvious that he has served as a soldier since he was very young, but where he has served and what causes he has fought for still remains a mystery. He knows a surprising amount of various forms of armed and unarmed combat and demonstrates them with keen and precise skill on the battlefield.
