Introduction
The Games have been the main source of entertainment in Sirenia Country for years. People from inside and outside the Kingdom's borders are brought to fight in an annual tournament. Warriors fight others in duels to the death and try to gain the crowd's favor. A person may also choose to sponsor them, and help them through the tournament. It is an event that is celebrated, a joyous occasion.
But not for all.
Among the majority of these people are the poor contestants. Dubbed as society's trash, they were the obvious pick in choosing who would be put up to death for other people's enjoyment.
Some were forced to. Some have been training for the one day they would enter the tournament. The prize for the participant who won was a great one. But it was always kept a mystery.
This was only put in place so that they would have more drive, and more drive equated to more interesting fights. But they could care less when there was an oppurtunity to pull themselves out of the dark hole they lived in. Many believed it was gold, some a position in the government. But if the person had a sponsor, they would be forced the share the mysterious prize.
A poor peasant's life was not a happy one, especially a typical one in Sirenia. With power, must come responsibility, and the wealthy control most of the government. Responsibility is the last thing on their minds when their power gets them everything they've wanted in life. They haven't really been treating their needy people with care. After a revolt, they reluctantly agreed that during the Games, should a sponsor believe their contestant will not make it out alive, they have their permission to pull them out of hte tournament for safety.
It was originally to help save people from going through the trouble of finding someone new to sponsor, but they could use it to their advantage....
Our story truly begins at the start of the 500th Games tournament.
A participant with a horrible sponsor is forced to enter the tournament as punishment for rebelling. His sponsor fully expects him to die fairly soon, but as he strategizes, a noble's daughter watches him with curiousity. She comes to him when no one is looking and begins a cautious friendship with him. She could be the key to his escape, but she could also be the death of him. . . .
A girl received a poor servant for her eighteenth birthday. Her fellow nobles pressured her to enter him into the tournament to test his skills. But will he take advantage of his beauty to trick her into releasing him? Or will something persuade him not to follow through with his plan?

Just a Few Rules. . . .
I would like a post every two days. Anything less, and I'm afraid you shouldn't join this roleplay.
No perfect people. It completely defeats the purpose of me putting the little weakness section in the character profile. . .
I don't care about reservations. I care about the actual character profile. So if you came first, but you have a very poor character, chances are you're not getting the spot.
Quality over quantity. Big huge paragraphs full of gibberish are very useless in my humble opinion.
I prefer realistic pictures.
There will be nothing past kissing. If you wish to take it further, go to PMs, but seriously. . . . there are younger roleplayers around here.
