Introduction
“Citizens of Stoneguard, I am afraid that on this day I have gathered you here only to offer news of sadness. My daughter, Mariah, was taken from our fortress in the middle of the night. Long has her songs brought hope to our city as we stand on the edge of evil.” King Gerund looked down from his balcony and addressed his city.
I thought this has to be a joke. I return to my home city only to find it in despair. The last time I was standing in the town square looking at the palace balcony I was listening to the child princess Mariah sing a song of a new world of peace and unity. It was the day that changed my life forever. The day my life truly began.
“Your highness, is it true that Horren himself is responsible?” A man shouted from the gathered crowd. “There are many eye witness accounts calming they saw his black Knights walk through our gates.”
The crowd began to roar with panic and fear that the black god of the North was bringing his vengeance on man, “Nonsense, do not fear he who does not exist. I have only called this meeting to gather everyone to arms and prepare for war…….”

“Thank you Wode,” my black elf shaman partner put the last guards to sleep before we entered the king’s chambers. It was easy because most of the guards fled the city after rumours of the Black Knights“We must speak with the king and prevent this war.”
We entered the chambers only to find a scared king crying on his knees, “Please do not kill me.”
“Relax King, we are not here to harm you, yet. We came here to discuss the matter of your daughter, and the war against her kidnapper.”
“There is no discussing it. We must go to war and that is the only solution.”
“Sir there are other issues pressuring the existence of man, an army is gathered in the far western desert. It is rumoured that they plan to attack Stoneguard on the birthday of man. They will be here in ten full moons.”
“Are you sure? There are only outlaws and gypsies in the Western desert.”“It is true that the wicked desert men are among the militia, but I believe you are also forgetting about the Gehnlin.”
“The white elves? They have been our friends since they crossed the western sea . They aided us in the Dwarven wars, and if it was not for them we would not exist.”“Their rulers seek to obliterate man. They only aided us because they wanted to see the dwarves to their death. The Gehnlin rulers believe that Ariel created them for this purpose.”
“What ground do you offer as proof?”
“Wode has seen it in his visions.”
“This Black Elf, I do not trust him. Black elves were created by Horren just as the dwarves were. They are demons. They took my daughter.”
“Nonsense King of men, da Nyla (black elves) do not mean to harm men. If ya open ya hearts to dah truff you will see. It is in da prophecy”
“Why would they black elves worry you? Horren, you said to your people that he does not exist. It is no lie that since the Dwarven wars religion has not been as strong in the heart of man.”
“I don’t know what to believe. The black knights marched in here and took my daughter. It is obvious that only the black elves could wear the black knight armor, and no other race is big enough. They said they were taking her to be sacrificed to Horren on the birthday of dwarves. Four full moons from today. In doing this he will resurrect his fallen dwarves for one day and destroy men with his demon army.”
“So you plan to send your army into the northern forest and wage war on Horren?
“No, I plan to march to the southern swamps and slaughter every demon black elf until my daughter is returned.”
“Is this what you were talking about?” I looked at Wode only to see him nod in agreement. “I have spent a long time with the Nyla. They do not mean you harm and that’s for sure. None of this makes sense. Stoneguard is exactly that. The giant stone capital of men was built as a guard against the evil that lurks in the forest. The Stoneguard sentinels are the greatest warriors men have to offer. How did these black knights get past them?”
“All of my sentinels that guarded the edge of the forest are dead. Most of my royal guard are dead or ran in cowardice. Only a few captains remain. All this done by four black knights.”
What? How could only four knights destroy the most powerful militia in all of Gloria. (the country of men) It’s true Nyla are 5 times stronger than men, but it couldn’t be them. Something strange is going on. “Sir this only proves my point. The attacks came from the forest. Nyla exist only in the south near the east coast and southern swamp. Very rarely do they venture out. I can guarantee you that Wode is the first Nyla to step foot in Stoneguard."
“What good is your word strange traveller? I do not know who you are. You break into my home in this time of distress. You make strange accusations and demands. You are no better to me than this Demon you brought to my door.” He said shaking his finger at Wode.
"I am so very sorry your highness. I should have introduced myself. I am Hollis Grey, Champion of Gloria."
“Hollis Grey has not been seen since the dwarven wars. You will be hung for this. Lies, all lies. You are not Hollis Grey Champion of Gloria and immortal son of the first king of men. Where is your White hound? Where is your band of followers?”
“Being immortal has its draw backs. All my followers are dead. I came to this town to warn you of the army in the west, and recruit new followers. My white hound Kyla is hunting. You know she wouldn’t come into the city. I guess the only way to prove it to you is to show you the mark.”
“The mark?” The king suddenly changed his tone as his eyes lit up with all the hope he had left. “If you bare the mark then you must be immortal. If you are Hollis Grey, then Ariel has blessed man on this day of sorrow.”
I removed my shirt to reveal the tiger’s blessing. A giant white paw print on my back. “It is you. I haven’t seen you since I was a small boy. You were in the palace in this very room offering your support to my father in the Dwarven war. Strange, you look even younger than you did then.

We then spent the rest of the night discussing old times and planning a new strategy to defeat the evils threatening men. It was agreed that the King would not attack the black elves, but instead prepare his army to attack the west. He would give me four full moons to have his daughter safe and at the palace. If his daughter was not returned by then he would assume her dead and sacrificed. He would then wage war on the black elves.
The existence of man depends on me and my followers. Recruitment starts today. We will leave for the Northern forest on the next full moon. That gives us one moon to train and prepare. This will be dangerous and we have about a 20% chance of success. The northern forest is the most dangerous place in Gloria and plays host to the most dangerous of Demons. The king will grant the title of Champion of Gloria to anyone who joins my team. Dwarves will be granted freedom
Important information
Race: I will allow only 2 Dwarves, one Gehnlin, and the rest must be humans.(FIRST TO MAKE CHARICTERSHEET WINS)
-The war against the Ghenlin’s is happening. If you are a Gehnlin it would make sense for you to be a mercenary who hasn’t been home for a while, or perhaps a spy claiming to be a mercenary, but don’t reveal your intentions (pm it to me though). Gehnlin are small built elves. They make good archers, rouges, assassins, hunters, healers, etc. Gehnlin get along with everyone, but are hated by dwarves. They are called white elves by men and Fleckin (dwarven for ****) by dwarves. They have never seen a Nyla.

-Dwarves are very few. Only a few thousand exist. The remaining dwarves are slaves in the capital. The must shave their beard and head to show they are less than men. A few dozen dwarves exist as free dwarves for saving lives. They are allowed to grow back their beard and hair. They make good berserkers, knights, rogues, guards, etc. They hate humans, but Gehnlin more. They especially hate Hollis Grey for helping the humans. They have also never seen a Nyla. Dwarves in the party will only be allowed one weapon and minimal armour. At night they will be chained and stripped of their gear.
Occupation/Class: Just explain what you like to do and can do. No wizards mages or shamans. I already have Wode (who will be run by me). I will allow a healer who can only heal, place a force field around an comrade, or trap a weak enemy with a force field, and getting stronger over time of course. Also lets get a variety. So if your occupation is similar to someone else’s. I will recommend you switch. No guns or explosives. I would like to have maybe a left over sentry captain. Hollis and Wode will be played by me.
Religion: People in Gloria believe that the world was created by the goddess Ariel and her husband Horren. Everything is eather created by one or the other. Things of grace, beauty, spirits, Gehnlin, and humans were said to be created by Ariel. This of chaos, distruction, demons, Dwarves, and Nyla were said to be created by Horren. Some however do not believe Ariel and Horren exist and chose to not worship them. Most dwarves are atheist refusing to believe they were created to destroy men.
The history books say that Men was created as a gift to Horren. Ariel wanted someone to enjoy the world with and look after her spirits. Horren was jealous of Ariel’s love for humans so he created Dwarves to destroy them. This is why humans and dwarves have been at war for years. It was the arival of the white elves that changed everything. They white elves’ homeland was destroyed by a force that they wish not to disclose. The white elves were given the west coast as payment for their loyalty. They live undisrupted in their city of Candahl under the rule of king Raltondahl.
The history books say that the mythical Hollis Grey was the son of the first king of men. He died in the first dwarven war. The Great White Tiger placed his hand on Hollis’s back bring him to life and granting him immortality, and superior prowess in battle. There have been many imposter Hollis’s resulting in many different interpretations in the history books. Some scholars drew him as burnet, some as blond, one even as a red head. All bearing the white tiger paw on their back. Another way to identify the true Hollis, is his ability to tame white hounds. White hounds were created by Ariel and guard her ice fortress across the sea. They are spirits and not animals. Hollis is the only one to have been rumoured to have one. It is also rumoured that Ariel created them by blessing Horren’s Hell hounds. If you bring a hell hound to Ariel’s fortress; she will bless is and turn it into a White hound. If this is true Hell Hounds are the only Demons who can become spirits.
Spirits in this word are any magical being with a positive life-force. Said to be created by Ariel. Unicorns, Griffons, water nymphs. Demons are the opposite, created by Horren with a negative live force (negative not evil). Vampires, Dragons, Hell hounds.
Men are governed by a king and a king and high court only. The high court is mostly the royal family.
Gehnlin are goverend by a king and his counsil.
The country is very similar to ours. Where Canada would be is the northern forest. the southern states are the swamps, east and west coast are the same. Rocky mountains are where the mountains are. No Appellation Mountains. The desert is where our desert is.. L.A. Nevada Arazona, Utah, Texas, New Mexico. Most cities are small. Loria is the city near the swamp, Denathol is near the mountains, everything west of the mountain was given to the Gehnlin or is Desert. A few small farming cities are in the plains south of Stoneguard.
Hollis, Wode, and the King are the only ones who know about the Army in the West. Right now the team is focused on rescuing the King's daughter.
Nyla (Black Elves) are not Drow. They have only recently immigrated into Goria across the sea. The only people near Stoneguard who know of them are Mercenaries from the south, upper class would here rumours, and Hollis

1)Anyone can join at any time. Just submit for approval and I'll find a way to fit you into the story if not then, but in the future.
2)I have planned this out to be a three part story with the first part traditional role play evolving into a choose your own adventure as we put more content and creativity into it.
3)Please update your character page as we move along so that new players can get an Idea of where you are in the story without having to search through everything. I will update the introduction as the story goes along improving it and progressing further and making things better.
4)About 200 Words per post please don’t overdo it
5)Like I said Only 2 Dwarves and 1 White Elf (No Black Elves as of now, but this option will be allowed later on in the story)
6)Consistent players will be granted the opportunity to make a second character
7)Deaths will happen and be discussed. I will kill you if it fits into the story. Don’t worry I will give them plenty of time to develop and a proper death. If you don’t want your character to die I’m sorry but that’s life. (look at rule 6 and cheer up)
8)Disease will happen and have to be cured
9)Romance is allowed, even marriage, and possibly having children. Let’s keep sex in our imagination and not on the forms. Read the Roleplaygateway form rules if you can’t decide what’s right. No one wants to get us banned and I will not give warnings. This is your warning.

I'm beginning to think that either we're going to have to make another character from each of us or this isn't going to go anywhere

Alright we got some good characters that are better than I expected. I am excited and new story lines and possibilities are getting the wheels turning. I would like at least 2-5 more people before we “officially” step off. The more we have the better I can make the story. So with that said hopefully you all can hold on until we get enough party members to roll out. The longer it takes the more Ideas I come up with, so it's not that bad. However, the people who gave Characters to me the soonest I will do more with because naturally I will have more time to plan things around them.
I'm going to start the story off and We can wait for more recruits. Please do you part and see if you could find anyone interested in joining us. I am patient and promise to make it an enjoyable process. I work at my own speed so please work at your own trusting that I will work with and around your posting style, speed, and preference.
So with that said I would like to invite you all to please throw in any Ideas your thinking of. Please update your character information page as the story progresses, so that anytime someone joins they can just look at your page and be caught up on where your character currently is in the story. I plan on making this Roleplay with constantly evolving places, NPCs, and storylines to interact with. I already have several plans, but most of them will be revealed as the story goes on. The more Ideas and content you all throw at me, the better I could make the story.
Right now I have a 3 part story I am going to tell. The first part will involve us all together, but after the first part is finished. Then several stories will begin and you characters will have to choose which way they want to go, who they want to side with, and in turn shape the outcome of the story. This is as real as it gets.
I look forward to spending this time together in poetic fellowship

I'm going to start the story off and We can wait for more recruits. Please do you part and see if you could find anyone interested in joining us. I am patient and promise to make it an enjoyable process. I work at my own speed so please work at your own trusting that I will work with and around your posting style, speed, and preference.
So with that said I would like to invite you all to please throw in any Ideas your thinking of. Please update your character information page as the story progresses, so that anytime someone joins they can just look at your page and be caught up on where your character currently is in the story. I plan on making this Roleplay with constantly evolving places, NPCs, and storylines to interact with. I already have several plans, but most of them will be revealed as the story goes on. The more Ideas and content you all throw at me, the better I could make the story.
Right now I have a 3 part story I am going to tell. The first part will involve us all together, but after the first part is finished. Then several stories will begin and you characters will have to choose which way they want to go, who they want to side with, and in turn shape the outcome of the story. This is as real as it gets.
