Introduction
Four Teens Attacked by Rabid Dog in One Night
That's what the headline reads. Your picture is one of four covering the front page of the Hawksville Chronicle.
There's one problem: What you were attacked by was no 'rabid dog'.
It was a wolf. That could turn into a human. A werewolf, if you must name it.
You know because you saw the change. You're beginning to sense it in yourself.
The...thing that bit you gave you five days to leave behind everything a join his pack, or be exterminated. Five days before the full moon, before the your first change.
It's time to see the world through a whole new set of eyes.
Werewolves:
1. Can change at will most times
2. Cannot change during a full moon unless moonlight hits them
3. Have 5-20 minute changes, which can vary from intensly painful to minorly uncomfortable, depending on the experience a werewolf has
4. Have an 'inner wolf' that can influence their behavior
5. Use Wolvic in human form to dominate subordinate wolves (See below)
6. Get burned by pure silver and get skin irritation from anything with silver in it
Wolvic
1. Wolvic is used by werewolves while in human form to control/dominate weaker wolves
2. It can be used through a verbal command, or through eye contact
3. Wolvic increases with age
4. Newly bitten werewolves have very little power until they learn to control their wolf side
5. Wolf with the highest rank (Usually the Alpha) in the pack have the most Wolvic

((This is going to be where everything starts, where everyone comes to know each other))
Hope felt like she was going to be sick. She'd arrived at the address that her attacker, Dan, had given her was had been promptly escorted into a large office/sitting room-type area. She'd been order not to touch anything and then left alone, while Dan waited for the others to arrive. It was 9:30 in the morning, and she wondered if Mike was awake yet. She'd left him a note, telling him that she was leaving because the attack had made her 'reconsider her life'. She'd promised that her home would always be open to him, and that she'd come back once she got everything figured out.
She glanced around the room again, like she expected it to change at any moment. It was still the same dark blue and tan old-fashioned wallpaper and goldish wood floor. There were several chairs arranged at one end of the room, all of them made from the same royal blue fabric and dark wood. The other side of the room looked like his office. There was a desk made of wood that matched the chairs, and a black leather office chair sitting in front of a computer that was probably worth more than her car...not that that was saying much. There was heavy gold drapes over the three windows that were equally spaced over on of the long walls, and Hope managed to get up and push the curtain aside, looking at the woodlands that were to be her new home.
The creature, the other side of her that Dan had created stirred at the sight of its new hunting grounds, and Hope shoved it back, fighting against the urge to go and run through the woods. She returned to her seat, feeling her anger well up again, and then spiral back down into self-pity. She pulled her black and green duffel bag into the chair with her, then brought her knees up to her chest.
Daniel waited at the front entrance, watching for any signs of another Bitten to arrive. He had used his power as alpha to call them towards pack lands, hoping to ensure they all arrived on the same day.

Luke stood outside the door of the address he'd been given. Adjusting the duffle bag on his shoulder, he knocked once. A moment later, a girl answered the door. She looked normal enough. Pretty, blonde, thin, maybe in her early twenties. She hardly looked like a werewolf.
"You're Luke, aren't you?" she enthused.
"Yeah and you are . . ." he asked.
"Minnie," she said, "It's so nice to finally meet all of you!"
Luke wasn't sure what she meant by "all of you" but he let it go. "Uh, nice to meet you too," he said.
"Well come in, come in," she said, ushering him into the nice house. "You're the second to arrive."
Luke looked around the room. It was much nicer then any house he'd ever lived in.
"Well come on," Minnie said excitedly, gesturing for him to follow her and he did.
She led him to a closed door and said, "This is Dan's office. One of the other Bitten is already inside. Once the others arrive, we'll get started. So just make yourself home . . . But don't touch anything."
With that, the hyper Minnie girl skipped a way. Luke shook his head at how randomly happy some people were. He pushed the door open and stepped into the office. Well, it seemed more like it was part office, part sitting room. There was a desk, but also an assortment of chairs. Sitting in one of the chairs was a redheaded girl who seemed about Luke's age. She was dressed like any other teenager and was sitting with her knees pulled up to her chest.
"Uh hey," Luke mumbled awkwardly.
"You're Luke, aren't you?" she enthused.
"Yeah and you are . . ." he asked.
"Minnie," she said, "It's so nice to finally meet all of you!"
Luke wasn't sure what she meant by "all of you" but he let it go. "Uh, nice to meet you too," he said.
"Well come in, come in," she said, ushering him into the nice house. "You're the second to arrive."

Emily walked up with her bag thrown over one shoulder. She knocks on the door and waits. She closes her eyes and thinks for a moment about all she's given up. Well, the only thing she'd really given up was her brother, the one family she had left. She choked back the tears that threatened to emerge from her deep, sea green eyes. She'd told her brother that, well, she just had to go. She had asked him to remember her and gave him a hug before she left the house. she now stood at the door to a larger house than she was used to, feeling not only anger, but loss, hurt, sadness, and something else. Something...non-human.
OOC Notes
Gilthanas stared at the steaming pot in front of him gloomily. He sprinkled in a bit more salt and cinnamon, though he had no high hopes for the dish. Dan hadn’t told him to be present when the bitten were told the truth, so the man had made himself busy with cooking soup for the youngsters. Something warm, simple, and light. Something to make them feel welcome and perhaps keep the more frightened ones from going into a shock. He grinned to himself, lowering the heat to a shimmer. He had a separate wok cooking meat that could be added to the soup base if none of the children were vegetarians. Bread was in the oven. He was satisfied.
After assuring himself that the meat and soup wouldn’t burn, he pulled off his apron and sat on the table. The house had a nicer dinning room, but Gilthanas preferred the small table in the kitchen and if Dan didn’t object Gilthanas would be feeding the kids in the kitchen. Absent mindedly he took a handful of sugared almonds he kept on the table for his own use and settled himself down to wait.
After assuring himself that the meat and soup wouldn’t burn, he pulled off his apron and sat on the table. The house had a nicer dinning room, but Gilthanas preferred the small table in the kitchen and if Dan didn’t object Gilthanas would be feeding the kids in the kitchen. Absent mindedly he took a handful of sugared almonds he kept on the table for his own use and settled himself down to wait.

Dan opened the door to see Emily on the verge of tears. "Ms. Black?" He asked, opening the door wider, "Come in,"
Dan wondered about the two that had already arrived, along with the fourth, who was still absent. "The others are waiting in my office. I'll speak to you once everyone has arrived,"
Hope glanced up at the newcomer. She remembered seeing his picture in the Chronicle, but his name evaded her. "Ah, hello," She tried a smile, but she didn't think it worked. "I'm Hope," She forced herself to get up and offer her hand. Even if she was now part beast, she wasn't going to lose the manners that Nana had taught her.
Dan wondered about the two that had already arrived, along with the fourth, who was still absent. "The others are waiting in my office. I'll speak to you once everyone has arrived,"

Victoria Blake was not downstairs with her mate, waiting around for the newly bitten wolves to arrive. Instead, she was upstairs in the elaborate, master bathroom. After been sick for several days, she began to doubt the possibility that she just had a stomach bug, especially since in her sixteen years of being a wolf she had never gotten more than a slight cold. Pacing back and forth she couldn't bring herself to check the results of the test. She had been in there for ten minutes after the test was supposed to be read to look at it. She groaned, kicking a dirty towel that had fallen out of the hamper. "You're a fricken shifter! You can look at one bloody test!" She scolded herself, walking toward the counter but once again she couldn't look.
With a sigh, she picked up the test result and walked out of the bathroom. If she couldn't look at the test, she'd find someone who could. First, she looked in Minnie's room but she couldn't find her. She knew where Daniel would be but she didn't want to get his hopes up. It was bad enough he had gotten thrilled with the last three pregnancies. She couldn't tell him she thought she was pregnant, not knowing whether she was or wasn't. She went to the only person she knew she could trust and who could possibly keep the secret for the time being. Gilthanas.
She made her way into the kitchen calming, holding the test behind her back. "Oh, there you are." She sighed when she saw him. "I need your help." She said, coming to stand in front of the much taller man. She shifted from side to side, nervously as she waited for him to say something. Anything. It came to a point where she felt like she was going to burst if he didn't respond. She held the test out for him. "I need to to tell me if I'm pregnant. And if I'm not, break it to me gently? But you can't tell Daniel about this. I don't want him to get hurt if this turns out bad again."
With a sigh, she picked up the test result and walked out of the bathroom. If she couldn't look at the test, she'd find someone who could. He raised an eyebrow, staying silent. He loved Victoria like a yonger sister but respected her like a subordinate should. Still, he couldn’t help teasing her every once in a while. She probably just wanted to know if she should dress practical to make the younglings comfortable or extravagant to show them she was above them. She held out her hand and he took the object in it as she spoke "I need you to tell me if I'm pregnant. And if I'm not, break it to me gently? But you can't tell Daniel about this. I don't want him to get hurt if this turns out bad again."
He looked down at the test in surprise, but then his face clouded. Victoria had confessed her fear that shifting made her miscarriage and Gilthanas had agreed. But now she had this idea in her head that if she got pregnant she would stay as a human. Gilthanas knew from experience that you couldn’t deny the wolf inside for very long, let alone nine months. He had tried to convince her to change in the very first stages of the pregnancy, when the child was little more than a hollow ball of cells: it was easier to stay wolf than to stay human. But she had refused, she wasn’t comfortable as a wolf for long, even after all these years. He let out a long sigh.
“Tori, I’m sorry.” He offered the test back to her. “It looks like you have a parasite growing in you, and it’ll take us at least nine months before we can extract it.” Then, without waiting for her to take the test he stepped off the table, wrapped his arms around her, picked her up, and spun her around, laughing. After two or three turns he set her gently on the ground and steadied her. He was grinning widely, “Congratulations.”

She almost didn't believe him at first when he continued until he picked her up. She squealed happily, wrapping her arms around his neck. She giggled as he sat her down. She let him go but still was bouncy up and down. "Do you really mean it, Gil?" She asked, taking the test from him. She didn't care that he hated when she called him Gil.
She took the test from him, looking to make sure he got it right. She looked up at him beaming. Well at least this male didn't have trouble reading a pregnancy test. Still after three pregnancies, Daniel had trouble reading them. She bit her lip. "You can keep this a secret from him for a week or so right?" She asked, now a bit worried that he would let it slip in some form or other that she was pregnant to his alpha.
"He has enough to worry about with his new charges, then adding this to his plate." She told him, imploring him with her brown eyes. She didn't want to have to use her Wolvric on him, but she would if she had to. Being the alpha gave her just enough to make Gilthanas do what she wanted.

Luke looked at the girl in front of him. The one holding out her hand. Surprised by another teenager being so formal, he reached out and shook her pale, small hand.
"I'm Luke," he said, just as a dark haired girl came into the room, slamming the door behind her and then leaning against it. She huffed angrily and Luke raised an eyebrow at her as he appraised the newcomer. She was pretty with dark wavy hair. Her eyes were extremly green and she seemed like she was going to punch the wall then throw herself down on the floor and cry about it.
"And then there were three . . ." he mumbled.

Minnie skipped happily into the kitchen, where Tori and Gilthanas were standing together, seeming excited. She herself was so excited about the new Bitten that she assumed they were too, although she should of realized that Tori would never be that excited about new wolves. But Minnie was just too excited to think. She didn't even notice the pregnancy test at first.
"Oh my God I met three of the Bitten! Well, actually I only met two of them and kinda spied on the other. The two I met were pretty nice though. A girl named Hope and a boy named Luke. Hope kinda seemed like she was gonna be sick and Luke looked like he thought I was gonna eat him . . . But they still seem nice. But that other girl, Emily, seems kinda nasty. But I guess it's not her fault given the circumst-" she paused mid-rant when she saw what she hadn't before, "Is that a pregnancy test?"

He didn’t even bother him that she had called him Gil. She was the only one who was allowed to get away with it – except Dan who used it rarely anyways. Minnie had started once when she overheard Victoria use it, but wolvic had silenced the girl. August even used it occasionally when he wanted to be annoying, but that normally ended up in the boy getting beaten – lovingly, of course.
He grabbed her small hands in his large ones, “I promise Tori, nothing but a direct question with wolvic will cause me to tell-“ he was interrupted as Minnie burst into the room, as excited as a pup discovering snow. He let out a low growl when the girl kept talking, to low for her to hear. When she paused after her question – he hadn’t been sure she was going to wait for an answer – he met her eyes and forced wolvic into his voice as he spoke. “Minnie, close the door and come inside. Not a word.”
He would let Victoria decide what to do with the younger woman – it was her secret after all.

Hope settled back into her chair after shaking Luke's hand, observing another girl enter. This one she recognized as Emily Black, whom she'd seen around school. Just from witnessing her entrance, she was pretty sure that Emily was dealing with roughly the same emotions as she was, if a bit more obviously. Luke seemed to be...content, which confused Hope, but she pushed it away. She wondered how long it was going to take the last Bitten to arrive, and she rubbed her upper arm subconsciously, glad that her black zip-up sweater hide the puckered bite mark, which was already only a scar. The doctors had called it an 'anomaly', but what had they known? She thought about checking her phone, which had been on silent the entire ride up here, to see if Mike had called yet. The flip her stomach did at the thought of hearing his voice, and knowing tha whatever pain he was in had been because of her was enough to stop that though in it's tracks.

"You two got bitten as well? Well, isn't this just a party." Emily sighed, sitting down. She wanted to be nicer, she did, but losing her brother had kinda put her on edge. She looked up, sighing. "Listen, I'm sorry if I seem rude, but it's just..." she sighed again, not able to collect the words that could form a proper sentence. She ran a hand through her hair and bit her lip, just a few of her many habits. She looked at them. She gave a faint smile. "I'm Emily." She bit her lip again. She knew that she hadn't made the best first impression, and it kinda bugged her. She moved a strand of hair from her face.

Victoria smile up at Gil as he took her small hands. She knew if he promised to, he would do anything to keep her secret." She nearly jumped out of her skin when Minnie skipped into the room. "We gotta get her a fricken bell." She muttered under her breathe so Gilthanas would hear but not Minnie. She stared at the girl as she continued her little rant and nearly forgot about what they had just been celebrating. That was until Minnie spotted the pregnancy test in her hand. Nearly all the color drained from her face before it was replaced with a blush. She was relieved when Gil took control of the situation and told her to come in and shut the door.
She slipped the pregnancy test into the back pocket of the jeans and began to pace as she waited for Minnie to shut the door. She hadn't wanted to let anyone on her secret at Gil. She knew that Minnie could let things slip or be persuaded into telling certain things. Thinking of how to go about explaining this to her, she pinched the bridge of her nose with her thumb and forefinger. "Okay." She said looking at Minnie, taking her hands and gently forcing her to sit down at the kitchen table.
"I'm going to tell you something that you have to swear not to tell Daniel, okay?" She said staring into the eyes of the girl she felt was her younger sister. "No hints, no slips, no nothing." She added, sternly. She paused for a moment, letting this sink in for Minnie. "Dan has a lot going on with the new wolves coming and I don't want to add anymore stress to him or get him excited if something happens. Yes, I'm pregnant but I want to make sure this pregnancy lasts before I tell him. Can you let me tell him when the times right, in my own way?" She asked.

Minnie let her eyes flicker back and forth between Gilthanas and Tori, judging how serious the two of them were. From what she could see, they were both dead serious. Minnie didn't like keeping secrets, especially happy secrets, and wasn't very comfortable lying.

"Tell August what?" August asked as he walked into the kitchen. He was freaking starving and he'd been able to smell the soup from his room, all the way upstairs. He'd heard voices from outside the door and had even caught the last bit of conversation. Minnie promising not to tell Dan something and then asking if she could tell August. Inside, Minnie and Tori were sitting down at the kitchen table. Gilthanas was standing next to them, hovering. They all seemed very serious. The smell of the soup filled the kitchen, making August's stomach growl. "What's going on?"

Gilthanas let his breath out in a whoosh of annoyance. Just what he needed - another yearling. He resisted rubbing his temples. "Victoria is just worried about the pups and if we'll be able to take care of them. Taking care of you two is hard enough already." he grinned, rather wolfishly. He waved him over. "Come eat, or even the pups will hear your stomach from Dan's office. One bowl, mind? I don't need you eating it all like last time."
He turned his attention back to the females and laid his hand on Victoria's shoulder, those his eyes locked on Minnie's. "Everything will be alright, Tori. Minnie, Dan is going to have his hands full with the pups, so lets not add to his problems, yes?"

Slightly suspicious, August went over to the stove and got himself a bowl of soup. He let his eyes scan over the face's of everybody in the room. He noticed Gilthanas giving Minnie an intense look when he spoke to her. He found that a little weird given the apparent conversation topic but he let it go. Leaning against the counter and blowing on his steaming soup he said "Soooooo . . . what's the deal with the new pups? I haven't had a chance to meet them yet."

Autumn walked up to the door nervously, not sure what to expect. She told her father that she just had to get out of this town, that she needed to get away for a bit and that she’d eventually be back to see him. She wasn’t sure if that would ever happen though. She considered turning around and going home, forgetting about this. Something inside her though told her she needed to stay, she needed to find out what all of this was about. So with that she knocked on the door and waited, not sure what to expect. Who would answer? Was this a bad idea? What was going to happen to her if she went inside? She waited anxiously for someone to answer the door.

Emily smiled at Luke, but faintly. She realized now that she was joined by Hope Monroe, some one she knew from school. "Hope?" She said, leaning forward in her chair as to get a better look at the girl. She thought to herself, about who else she might see here. She closed her eyes for a second, delving deeper into thought. After a moment she opened them, still lost in her thoughts.

Emily couldnt help but let out a small laugh at Hope's words. "Besides losing my brother, I'm doing alright." She felt the same as Hope when Daniel entered the room. She shuddered and closed her eyes once more, taking in all that had happened to her.

Autumn looked at the man who opened the door and immediately knew he was the most important one here. She bit her lip and looked down, feeling embarrassed for being so late. "Um h-hi...sorry for being so late." She stuttered out with a nervous laugh as she walked in the door. She followed him to his office and walked in, looking at the others. She recognized all of them, but she didn't really know any of them. She realized she was the smallest out of all of them, but that wasn't anything new. All her life she'd been the smallest one, but she'd never gotten used to it. "I'm hey there everyone, I'm Autumn." She said with a wave to the others as she put on a very convincing happy smile.

Emily's head snapped around and she looked at Autumn. She faintly smiled back at the girl. She looked up to Daniel once, but quickly looked back down, sighing to herself. She bit her lip, this time hard enough that she broke the skin. She tasted blood and quickly tried to hide the cut.

Tori sighed and was about to tell her no when August walked in. "Tell August that you have the lovely job of setting up our newest tenants room." She looked over her shoulder smirking at August. She smiled at what Gil and nodded. "Yeah especially with you egging them on all the time." She laughed, swatting him in the arm. She started gathering ingredients to make her homemade hot chocolate. She always got rave reviews and it was just cold enough to make this perfect. She used larger amounts than she was used to since she would be feeding more mouths.
Now that she found out the good news that she was pregnant, she was in a much better mood even if she was feeling a little nausea. Her goal was to keep calm and give her child a pleasant atmosphere in the womb. She had read research by scientist that positive thinking and happy attitudes helped pregnancies that had problems previously. It was now time to put that to the test.
"Dan thought it was best for us to have more protection with the new pack so close by. I do agree to a certain point, but I see no reason for making new wolves." She shook her head. It would take longer to train them to get them ready for battle. They could have at least tried to talk with the other pack and make a treaty of sorts. She hummed softly, pouring the hot chocolate into cups and leaving the rest for everyone else. She made five, one for each of the bitten and one for her husband. "I'll be back after I give this to the new pups." She smiled at them, picking up her tray and carrying it out of the room. She headed towards Daniel's office where she found her husband and the new pups. She gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "I thought everyone could use some drinks." She smiled around at the teens. Even though she didn't want to bother with them, she still wanted to give them a welcoming feeling. "Who wants some hot chocolate?" She asked coming into the room, offering the drinks on the tray to them.
