Introduction
For the longest time, I've been the only vampire in this city. I don't have much to complain about, though. People go missing all the time, and the humans usually assume it's either because they run away or commit suicide...not that I ever leave the bodies in plain sight. They never manage to find them. But...it does get boring...no one I can really talk to...or anything...
But, what if more vampires came here? ...Or if I made them? ...I've never tried that before; what could happen? Would it just be harder to hide our existence, or would it be easier? Would our argumants lead to fights, or would we be able to survive peacefully? ...What am I to do if other vampires come into the city, though? Older, more experienced vampires...or young, new vampires...
Rules:
1) No godmodding.
2) You can be human or vampire, but if you're human, you MUST change after some point; it can be either through desires, need, or forced upon you, it doesn't matter.
3) Romance is allowed, but keep it pg, please.
4) No, the vampires aren't sparkly; but their eyes are sensitive to sunlight, and so they must wear something to protect their eyes.
5) Vampires can live off food for a while, but must return to blood after a few months.
6) Umm...if anyone has any questions, I'll probably end up adding to to the rules...so..have fun!
7) You remain at whatever age you were bitten; you do not grow at all.
8) If you want more than one character, please limit it to two or three total.
9) Half vampires are allowed, and while they are stronger and faster than humans, they are not as fast or as strong as humans. Their lives are extended, but not immortal.

I walked out of the alley, checking once more that I was clean of all blood. Not that I was a messy eater, but even I could mess up once and end up with blood on my fae. There wasn't any. I looked back, making sure that the body was hidden well enough that no human would ever find it. Their senses were so slow...
It was dark still, so I wandered around the city, looking to see where the most activity was. That was usually where the most activity would be the next night, too. Humans were so predictable...

I watched a female vampire walk out of an alley and wander about. I followed her around. Besides even though I'm a vampire... I am still a vampire hunter. As a human I am thought dead, but as a vampire I'm well know as the Silverblade. With me, drinking blood is a crime and a vampire must be killed. That's why vampires are so despicable and why I kill them...

"...Yeah...what have I ever done to you?" I ducked out of the way of the scythe, twisting my head slightly to accomplish it. I stood facing the other vampire. Another female vampire. "And when did you get here? I've been here for hundreds of years, and no other vampires have come here before..." I looked up thoughtfully. Shouldn't I have caught her scent before she showed herself? ...Maybe blood was blocking my senses...
I turned my attention back to her, getting ready to run in case she attacked again. "And I see no reason for you to hunt me; I've kept to my territory, and haven't taken anyone who doesn't live withing this territory."

"You killed a human and that is a crime to me." I answered coldly. "I'm here to kill every vampire and it's my job as a vampire hunter." I knew that one human is not worth losing, but for some reason I made it my goal to kill every vampire. In any case no vampire could detect me after drinking blood. I had learned after drinking blood a vampire's senses dulled for a few hours...

With a start, I backed up, and ran around her, facing her back. "But...you're a vampire, too...blood is necessary for our survival, you should know that. A few months without food, sure, that we can do. But..." I struggled, looking for a good enough argument.

"Yes, but is killing the human necessary?" I pressed going after her. Suddenly a sharp pain filled my neck. I hadn't drunk blood in months. "Fine I guess I can't kill every vampire. I'll let you off tonight, but you need to promise not to kill a human!" I said to her. Then I leveled my scythe at her neck. "But if you kill another human, I'll hunt you down and kill you." I took out a small box with a red moon symbol on it. "Keep this with you. I created these. They're blood tablets. You just eat two and your thirst for blood will be kept at bay for a few hours. Usually tastes better when in water though, it's like real blood." I said a tone nicer, but still cold.
Then I did something I thought I would never do. I smiled. "Vampires around the world only know me as the "Silverblade", but you can call me Saya. Saya Ontashi is my full name. Anyways cya around!" With that I jumped off the building and went to patrol the city. Thinking why I had just done that.

I looked at the box, curious. It was a little tiresome to hunt the humans down, anyway...but would these really taste like blood? I opened it and took one out, examining it. If it would taste like real blood...I might be better off using warm water; simulate human blood better.

As I walked along the dark streets of the city, I couldn't help but stare at all of the humans around me. They were all bustling around, carrying on with their temporary lives. Didn't they get it? They were outdated. Vampires were the next step in the evolutionary chain. I scanned around, looking for a good target. I noticed a young man, walking down the street. He was tall and skinny, with many peircings and a green mohawk. Obviously no one will miss you. I think you'll be my dinner tonight. I continuesd following the man until he turned into an alley. A grin flashed across my face. The perfect place to feast, and my prey was going there without any sort of herding. Tonight is a good night.

I was lying back on the bed, still thinking, still confused. This new vampire that was a vampire hunter, too did not make any sense to me. Unless she was rebelling against her new life as a vampire instead of accepting it. I had accepted it easily enough when the thirst became unbearble. Obviously, she wasn't a normal vampire. But if there was one new vampire, could there be others. I glanced out the window. No...too close to morning to even try to get out and see. I would get caught in the sun, and I had nothing to protect my eyes. I sighed. This would have to wait until the next night for me to investigate.

I stopped suddenly from my patrol. I noticed two people going down an alley. I really was having a bad night. Why did this vampire have to make it worse. The smell of blood filled the air and I almost couldn't resist but I forced myself to forget it. I jumped from the building and landed next to the vampire. "You mind explaining what is going on?" I asked in a casual voice and waving lazily. "Because if you don't answer you die", I said coldly.

I stopped as I heard the voice behind me. I turned around and looked at the traitor. " Hello, Silverblade. Funny meeting you here. I was convinced that there was only a few vampires in the city, and you weren't one of them." I had heard about this traitor before. She had been truned, but instead of accepting it like most vampires do, she swore to hunt down her own kind. This in itself was crazy. Then again, humans ran around killing eachother all the time. "You know, if you hate vampires so much, why don't you just off yourself? it would certainly get rid of the most annoying one. And what is with the scythe? There is no way you can get that through airport security."

"Who said I came through a public airport? I came hitched a ride on a private jet if you want to know." I had the scythe leveled at his throat as I always do with vampires. But the smell of blood was causing more pain then I expected. I was breathing heavily and my opponent could see that. I had given that other vampire the blood tablets so I couldn't fight my thirst, but I was holding out. "Now to get this over with and to ask such questions before you die is crazy itself!" I said coldly and lunged for him.

"Madam here's the cloak you wished for," a maid handed me a black old-fashioned cloak that I couldn't seem to find a while ago.
"Thank you Alice," I smiled and slowly closed the door to my room.
I had been looking for this one for a few minutes already, I haven't been to my haven for quite sometime.
I need a place to reevaluate everything.
I gazed outside my window and saw the lake behind our mansion.
I dimmed down the lights and made sure that the decoy formed out of pillows would look real to anyone who would peak inside my room.
And I quietly opened the door to my terraza, at once cold dry wind swept through my face.
Just the way I like it.
I tried my best not to get my dress and cloak get caught on the vines and branches on my way down the terraza.
I looked back. No one seemed to notice I was already outside.
Good thing Mama and Papa were out again.
I walked quickly along the thick bushes towards my hideout.
There I saw my little abandoned boat, tied to a sturdy tree.
I hopped in, brought out a paddle and continued my journey.
I really need to think.

I sighed, and got off the bed. Lying still for to long always made me restless. I wandered through the apartments, looking around, still thinking. A vampire vampire-hunter...still so confusing. I glanced out a window. My last meal was now long enough ago for my senses to be sharp. I found the scent that must have been Saya...and another vampire. I sighed, floding my arms and putting them on the windowsill, then putting my head on my arms. Two new vampires in this city...but already it seemed to be causing trouble...their scents were close together, so I had to assume they were fighting; that is, if the new vampire had taken blood without realizing that their was a vampire hunting down her own kind now in this city. I would have to go out again the next night; not that I would need the blood then; really only needed it every few days. Still, maybe if this vampire didn't get his meal tonight, he...or she...would probably be out tomorrow. If, of course, the hunter didn't kill whoever it was first.

I felt the cold metal of the sycthe on my throat. I smiled an looked at her."Now, now, no need to get angry. Tell you what, you leave now, and i'll let you go get some real food, not those stupid capsules of yours. I can tell you need it, your eyes are going red. And if you don't, I guess I will have to kill you." And with that I quickly knocked the blade away from me. It left a small cut on my neck, but I could fix that later. I ejected my straight razor from the special arm sheath I have for it. I flicked the blade out. It was going to become day son, in about the next 30 minutes. I slid my pair of polarized sunglasses out of my pocket and put them on. "I guess we are going to do this the hard way."

"Sorry but since it's near morning we'll have to continue this another night. Ciao`" I retreated and put my contacts on. These would protect my eyes from the sun as well as hide the red color of them. I rushed to my dorm at my school. By day I was a student so I lived in a dorm. When I reached it I took out a box of blood tablets and swallowed two of them. "Now for a day as a human." I said to myself. I put away my cloak and scythe, then went to go to my classes. This is how I keep my identity as the Silverblade a secret. Pretending to be a human.

I watched as the girl ran off. Chuckling to myself, I closed my straight razor and slid it back up my sleeve. i had put on my sunglasses earlier, so the rising sun didn't harm my eyes. I walked back out onto the street. I was still hungry, but feeding in broad daylight was a foolish idea, so I decided to go home. When it became dark again, I would go out and hunt. Before I walked out onto the street, I felt my neck. The cut was gone. I really must feed soon. I walked back out onto the street and began to make my way to my home.

Shortly before the sun rose, I closed all the curtains. I moved away from all the windows, and wandered through the apartments, glad for the shade the trees provided. Even with those, though, I had to shield my eyes with my hand. I cursed the sunlight under my breath, and finally walked into the apartment that I wanted. I had managed to keep a few large tanks in this room. My existence was lonely, and I had gotten fish for pets because anything else would run as soon as they smelled a vampire. They wouldn't stay long enough. I dropped food into all of them, and lowered myself to see the fish at eye level. Each tank held a variety of guppies, my favorite fish. They were so colorful!
As I watched, I thought back to the night before. "What was with that vampire? Hunting other vampires...surely she realizes that we need their blood to survive!" I thought aloud. The fish were the only ones that could hear me, but I talked with my pet like a lot of people do. Awhile after school ended, I decided that once it was night I would try and see if there are anymore vampires. I usually find the vampires by luring them. Usually by using myself. Once the sun had finally set I ran to the area of the city I was in the night before. I then walked around there, looking like a lost school girl. Since my blood ,for some reason, was type O it is a rare delicacy for vampires. Or so I heard from a vampire in Tokyo. He said,"Once you taste it you want to taste it again and again."
So for the next few minutes I walked around waiting for a vampire to show. Really hoping I would not encounter any of the previous vamps from yesterday...

Once it was night, I fed the fish again, opened all the curtains, and went back to the city. I looked off as I recognized the scent of the vampire hunter, then walked right past it. After all, I wasn't feeding tonight. I was only exploring. I found one of the more populated places, and slid myself in. Not that anyone noticed that, physically, at least, I was too young for a bar scene. In fact, they barely noticed me at all. When I didn't bother to hide from people, they usually stayed away, unconsciously following some hidden instinct. Usually. There were a few humans that were a little different, but I never saw those often.
I stayed in a corner, watching the humans. It was interesting to hear them complain about their lives, to listen to them drowning their troubles in beer. The best part was whenever one drunken human started a fight with another. Those fights always grabbed my attention, probably because I knew that if I jumped in, I would win. But I never did, preferring to stand at the sidelines, watching their senseless fights and useless arguments turn into laughing with another round.
I stayed in a corner, watching the humans. It was interesting to hear them complain about their lives, to listen to them drowning their troubles in beer. I left my home after the sun set. I was wearing a black suit, a lack shirt, black loafers, and a red tie. Over this I wore a black overcoat. I felt like going out tonight. And I would also get some "food". I went to one of my favorite haunts, a underground bar called The Cavern. It was really only the basement of a business building, but I appreciated the place anyways. I walked in and immediately sensed another vampire. I tensed, thinking it was Silverblade. But... this one was different. I went over to the bar and ordered a Bloody Mary for the other vampire. I hoped she would get the message. I was interested in her. I thought I knew about every vampire in the city, but I didn't recognize her at all.

I caught the scent of another vampire, and looked around. It was hard to see through the people, though, and I couldn't find them. Someone brought me one of those drinks, then pointed out who had sent it. I observed for a second before I realized it was a vampire. Probably the one I had sensed. I watched him for a minute before looking down at the drink. The human that had brought it had walked away. What would a vampire want, sending a drink? I glanced back up at him. He was dressed up...I recognized the scent as the vampire that had been near Saya.
I looked back down at the drink and, experimentally, took a short sip. The alcohol pretty much ran through me, causing a slight tingle. Maybe it would be best if I didn't finish it. I stood there, glancing up at the other vampire every now and then, holding the drink. And here I thought I had been the only vampire in this city at all...

Feeling particularly bored, I jumped onto the building starring at the full moon. "No other vampires around here I suppose." The other two from last night were close by, but I wasn't in the mood for a fight or chat with either one. The a light breeze blew at my hair. "This place is no different from Tokyo. The only difference was the population of vampires." I said to myself. "Still this place is pretty suspicious not to have any other vampires. Maybe I'm not the only vampire hunter." I remembered a lesson from training a long time ago. A city usually has at least one vampire hunter...

I saw the vampire in the bar look in my direction. I nodded and smiled at her. He looked back at her drink. I could sense the vampire-in-denial nearby. I hoped she wouldn't try to come and find me, I was in no mood to fight the traitor. The bartender walked over and asked if I wanted a drink. I looked at him and politely said no. Alcohol did nothing for me, although drinking the blood of an intoxicated person was interesting, though. Speaking of which, a drunk man was leaving the bar. I nodded at the other vampire and followed the man outside. I was rather hungry.

I have a great idea for a human character that could greatly increase the participation in the rp and when he does turn to a vampire... (... yes fine I will comply with the rule that he HAS to turn...) could make for an excelent villain or vigilante. If you are at all interestes in learning more, Crystal (I do not want to put this idea in public before I make the character) I will be glad to pm you the information, but I will only do this when you either post in the ooc or pm me confirming your interest.
I like the idea of the rp but it does seem to be long dead, yet it could come back if people would participate. If you think it is dead after you look at my idea, or would just prefer a fresh start, I heavily implore you to restart it. I might even suggest restarting, in order to get new (or old) rpers with a fresh interest in the roleplay.
