Introduction

In a world full of superheroes, there is every so often a birth gone wrong, and the defect of the child born seems to be that they are... completely human. In this roleplay, six powerless freshman teens have banded together (away from the psychics, the Invisi-kids, the elastic people, mind-readers and the like) to share in their pain. They form a sort of club of rejects that holds meetings in their school's broom closet.

The kids have a class (can someone say Special Ed?) that they attend as a sort of "positive reinforcement" course. Haddrix will be playing the part of the teacher, along with her powerless kid.

Since the meeting place of the club is a broom closet, I will be playing the janitor along with my powerless kid.

Rules:

~Only four characters may join. (Two spots are already reserved for me and Haddrix)

~In order to have your character accepted, makes sure he/she is well-developed. We won't be accepting the first four characters that apply - this is not a first come first serve deal.

~All characters are freshman, as mentioned before.

~Don't request to join unless you WILL be participating often. Considering the limited amount of spots open, it's incredibly rude to take a slot just so that your inactive character will look pretty on the character list.

~The characters will consist of 3 boys and 3 girls so that the playing ground is even. If the spots of the sex you wished to participate as are already filled up, don't bother to make a character.

~NO GODMODS. If you can manage to live with yourself godmodding in an rp where the entire point is that all characters are LOSERS... I'm curious to know how you manage to sleep at night.

~Mary Sues and Gary Stews will not be accepted. The sooner you learn that no one wants to RP with a character like that, you're going to save yourself a lot of heartache.

~Just so that I can know for sure that you read the rules, add a spot for "favorite food" into your character skeleton.

~If you want to play an extra character (one that isn't one of the loser freshmen) ask me... we'll see if your idea is relevant to the rp.

~Be literate. There is no excuse for not taking the few seconds to spell-check. If you do not have a word processor with spell-check, try Google.

~Absolutely NO one-liners!

~FOLLOW RPG's RULES! We do not want to have this roleplay banned for your ignorance.

Credit to Haddrix for the rp idea! Credit to me for tweaking minor details that no one really pays attention to, and writing the Rules & Intro.

Obligatory Character Skeleton:

Name: (First Middle Last)

Age: (14 or 15)

Sexuality: (Straight, Gay, Bi... you know the drill)

Appearance: (Pictures are good, but write a short description as well. Please no anime pictures. )

Personality: (Try to write a good-sized paragraph so we can get a decent idea of the character.)

Family: (Powers of Mom and Dad, as well as siblings if the character has any.)

Other: (Any nicknames or criminal records we should know about? Optional.)

The day wasn't off to a very good beginning. Roslyn had woken up with a start because somebody crashed into a telephone pole outside their house. Running to see what had happened, she had almost wiped out on the carpeted stairs in her socked feet. The only reasonable food in the house was a batch of cornmeal muffins that had dried out because someone left them on the counter. She ate one and put a couple more in her bag. Sometime after that, when she was almost ready to head out the door, she found out that a stray cat had wandered in through an open window during the night, and not only knocked everything off of the coffee table, but left behind... A present, which she was left to deal with. After that was finished, she heard her bus steadily pulling away.
About half an hour later she arrived at school, shivering cold from the outdoors and sporting a brand new blister on her foot. Outside, it was cloudy, windy, and looked like it would rain. It wasn't making Roslyn feel any better. Inside the school, you had to be on your toes. You never knew when a fireball would come at you, or someone would accidentally contact you telepathically, trying to get the attention of a friend.
When Roslyn finally reached her locker, she was safe. It was Ina generally deserted part of hallway near the ATOPE classroom. A group of people she knew walked by, and greeted her casually. She was lucky to even have acquaintances, and it was only because her father owned a company that produced electronics popular with young people. Roslyn would occasionally let something slip about new prototypes.
After shoving her bag in her locker, she hobbled over to a nearby bench and flopped down. She doodled absent mindedly on the cover of a notebook, waiting for school to start. If the way the morning went was any clue, it was probably going to be a terrible day.

David yawned as he sat up in bed, lazily running his hands through his hair and grabbing his glasses from the nightstand. He climbed out of bed, grabbing his computer bag and slipping on an old pair of ratty jeans and his Star Wars T-shirt. He was starting to the bathroom to brush his teeth and attempting to run a comb through his hair when a blazing heat brushed past his ear. He turned, seeing a smug Jackson standing in the corner of the hallway outside his room. The fireball that his older brother had just fired at him hit the wall behind him, ruining his vintage TRON poster.

David shot him an exasperated look, knowing that if he did much else, his life would be a living hell all day, maybe longer. Jackson just smirked and staggered into the bathroom, slamming the door behind him. David rolled his eyes. To hell with his hair. Knowing Jackson, he'd be in there making sure his hair looked sufficiently messed up until the bus came. He smoothed down the messy mop of hair with the palm of his hand before heading downstairs, grabbing a Poptart and a Mountain Dew from the kitchen on the way. Not the most healthy breakfast in the world, but it would do.

David was right, and when the bus drove up, his brother ran down the stairs and outside with David. The bus ride to school was torture, as per norm. He really didn't have anyone to talk to, so he pulled out his laptop and worked on a hack code that he had been devoting much of his free time to. When the bus pulled up to the High School, David slipped the computer back into its case and walked to the school. Mediocritie, here he comes.
