Introduction
For hundreds of years the island country known as the Land of Dragons has stood alone in the shinobi world, never being involved in the Great Wars and knowing little strife. Of course revolutions, revoltes, and the like have taken place there, but things have always returned to a calm state, as if the land itself promoted such things in the people who lived there. because it is so peaceful, and no out of the way, there is no Hidden Village, and no Kage either, only the Daimyo and his council to run the island.
There have been tales long told that the mountain rage along the northern edge of the island, known as Spine of the Qilin (Kirin), houses deep within a secret cave, the spirit of a beast more powerful than even the Jubi (ten-tailed beast). However, this spirit is supposed to be very kind and peaceful, completely against war and violence of any sort. It is said that the island would fall into chaos and sink if ths spirit were to awaken and rise from the mountains though.
And it is such tales which have attracted the attentions of the Urigir, and their leader, Gyaku, who seeks ultimate power. A group of his most elite shinobi have been sent to the island to infiltrate it, subdue the daimyo so that no help from the shinobi of other countries can be called, and then search the caves for the spirit. He cares nothing about the people of this land and his men have killed several already, just for the fun of it.
Since it is the time of year that the people of this land celebrate their peace and the spirit within the mountains, the Urigiri are using the natural disorder of the events planned to pull off their mission.
Now it is up to a handful of shiobi, who have arrived at the island for various reasons, to save this land from destruction.

OOC Notes
"Ah, the Land of Dragons! This place is beautiful!" Koji says as he steps off the ship and onto the docks. Before him is a small waterfront town, where many people are moving about and preforming their daily jobs. Shipments are being carried here and there, nets full of fish are being unlodaded. "I think this might be the best vacation I've ever had. I wonder where I'll be staying though..."
Reaching into his shirt he takes out a small red scroll and opens it up. Reading over it he finds directions to the Qilin Inn, the nicest of the many inns this island has to offer. It is right in the center of Ryu Village, where the whole of the festivites will take place. From there you can see the daimyo's castle, and beyond that the Spine of the Qilin mountain range.
With the directions memorized he starts off down the road towards the center of the island, passing sailors and islanders as he goes. A wind picks up, beinging with it the smells of fire, warm food, and a faint hint of rain. Better hurry, before it starts raining. Don't wanna get caught in the approaching storm if I can help it. He thinks as he picks up speed, but not noticably so. He isn't wearing his headband right now, and he would rather no one know he was a ninja while he's on vacation. "Ah, there it is, the Qilin Inn. Wow, it's got to have at least ten floors!"
As soon as he enters the Inn a cloud moves in front of the sun, causing a shadow to be cast over the land. A few of the people in the Inn turn and stare at him, causing him to feel a bit nervous. He has no way of knowing that just before he appeared in the Inn another body was found near the mountains.

Roku yawned as he sat on a stool at the bar in the Qilin Inn - he didn't drink - a drunk host was something no Kage could think about without wincing - but liked the soda, and was already on his third glass. He looked up when all the background voices suddenly grew muffled. A stranger had just walked in, no headband, maybe he wasn't a ninja - or maybe he didn't want to be known as one, he thought. Roku was also unaware of the bodies found, as he had arrived only that morning - though he had been there in the Inn long enough for people to stop staring, at least. He was used to it by now, anyway, as a Host.
OOC Notes
"Nice to see you guys too..." Koji says with a small chuckle as he walks over to the bar and takes a seat beside a rather strong looking man with a high chakra level, higher than normal anyway. "Saki please." He says with a nod to the bartender. True, he was under age, but he looked old enough that no one ever questioned him, and besides, his next birthday was only a couple months down the road. "Thanks, here, I'll just take the whole bottle. I'm on vacation, so I might as well endulge."
The barkeeper looks at Koji oddly, but then shrugs and takes the money, then walks away, leaving the bottle and a couple of glasses next to it, assuming he means to meet somone there.
"Are you here for the festival too?" Koji asks the man beside him as he opens the bottle and pours himself a cup. "Would you like some? I've got a whole bottle to myself otherwise."
Outside the cloud has passed by and it is once again sunny. While people still glance at Koji and the other man now and then they return to their conversations at a normal volume, although Koji can hear whispers about them now and then. He keeps one hand near his sword at all times, though not in a very obvious way. Several times he has been ambushed in a bar when he thought himself safe, and with the way they looked at him as he walked in, he doesn't feel very safe now.
The barkeeper looks at Koji oddly, but then shrugs and takes the money, then walks away, leaving the bottle and a couple of glasses next to it, assuming he means to meet somone there.
"Are you here for the festival too?" Koji asks the man beside him as he opens the bottle and pours himself a cup. "Would you like some? I've got a whole bottle to myself otherwise."

Roku shook his head. "No thanks - being drunk would be a problem for me. Besides, I still have my soda," he said, swishing the can side to side lightly, hearing it slosh inside the can before taking a sip.

Genta walked into the Qilin Inn, his sandals clicked and clacked against the ground and his robe covered most of his face and the parts that it didn't cover was covered by his straw hat. He sat down across the bar from two men chatting. No one probably knew about the Akatsuki since word had gotten out that the Akatsuki were disbanded and all of the Bijuu and there hosts were safe, but that was just the opposite.

Koji chuckled again. He liked this guy. "Good eye. I'm here on vacation from work. I've got a week off and I thought I'd enjoy the festival, what about you?" He said before taking a song drink of his saki and sighing happily. It had been a while since he had been able to drink, as he wasn't allowed to on the job. He was what you might call a mean drunk, and a natural user of the Drunken Fist style, though he usually didn't use it when he could be prepared for the fight.
The hairs on the back of his neck stood up as a man walked into the inn. He said nothing, and made no movements to look towards the man, but like this one beside him, he could feel a strong pressence.
"My name is Koji, by the way, Senju Koji." he adds after downing the rest of his drink and pouring himself another glass. This is going to be a long vacation if these two are as strong as I think they are... He thinks to himself, taking another drink. "What should I call you?"

Kurami sighed heavily as she looked over her many scrolls in her rented room's bed; she was staying at the Qilin Inn as she tried to figure out why she was sent here by the Hokage of Konoha. She had arrived the day before and hadn't left her room except to eat and buy a few things she needed; she had gotten stared at and whispered about, but she was use to it, for she got it where ever she went. Kurami didn't wear a head band like most Ninjas, instead she wore the symbol of Konoha on her wristbands, it was less noticeable but she was staying true that she was a Ninja.
Sighing again but much softer, she stood up from her desk, she felt like a drink to clear her head and relax herself; her Hokage had given her a vague explanation of what she was to do in the Land of Dragons, which complete troubled her.
You'll know when you arrive. It'll be a difficult task but you'll figure it out and help out as the duty of a Ninja of Konoha.
Kurami placed on her shoes and fixed her outfit properly to be able to exit out of her room looking presentable; she walked over to the door, opening it and turning off the light before exiting out. She went through the elegant-like hall way and down it stairs, she was after all only in the second floor and it was good exercise to move her muscles since she was cooped up in her room all day.
Kurami soon got to the first floor and made her way to the the dining area where the bar was, as expected no women where drinking here... yet. She went over to the bar and sat down a seat away from three men to her left, the bartender came over to her, he stared at her for a moment, blinking and a faint blush suddenly came over his face. "What would you like Miss?" he asked trying not to stutter on his own words; Kurami chuckled under her breath, she always found that amusing though she wasn't vain or thought of herself as beautiful, "Red Wine please." she responded smiling a bit, yet it was cold and distant. Kurami never understood why they suddenly acted like that towards her, she always had a cold, distant, and dangerous presence to herself. She rarely smelled, she always looked less appealing then most female Ninjas, she knew she'd never understand the male kind.
The bartender soon came back and placed her drink down, he left quickly as if he didn't want to speak to her again. Kurami shrugged and drank quietly by herself, not wanting to pick up in conversation with anyone. Roku grinned and took a swig of his drink. "Call me Roku. From the Land of Lightning. You?" He felt 2 other chakras of note besides the one next to him - a man with a suspicious look and a woman who looked rather bored. She should change that look, he thought privately, to some guys that go to bars regularly, 'bored' can mean 'available' - not that he himself went to Inn bars to see females, just to grab a drink of soda - had a different taste than the normal stuff from shops, though part of him knew he'd rather not know why.

"Nice to meet you Roku. I'm from the Land of Fire myself." Koji said with a smile, looking at roku, then turning to look at the girl who had just sat down on the other side of him. She looked familiar, but he couldn't place her face for a moment...then it came to him. "Excuse me," he says to Roku, turning towards her. "Kurami, is that you?" he asked the girl, looking her over and recognising first her face, then the way she always wore her Leaf symbol on her wristband. "What are you doing here, I thought you were gone on a mission when I left..."
He didn't know her all that well, mainly just as passing aquantences, but remember all the same, and thought it was odd that she would end up here at the same time as himself. What is the Hokage planning? He wonders silently to himself as he turns back towards the bar and takes another drink of saki. [i]There has to be something more to this, for two potential ANBU members to be in the same seemingly peaceful Land at the same time.

"Wait a minute." Genta said as he saw one of the men get up. He took out a picture of one of the men he was suppose to be tracking. "Not the time or place." He sighed and looked at the Bijuu holder that was sitting next to him. "So, you have a Bijuu inside of you. What does it feel like?" He asked and looked over at the man.

"So, you can sense it..." Roku chuckled. "Aren't you the perceptive one. Though I'd appreciate it if you kept that to yourself - not everyone is cool about me having a Bijuu in me as you are." He sipped his soda. "As for your question, well, not bad - the extra abilities and chakra are handy, ill admit, though it took time before people could look past the beast to see the real me." He crunched the can with one fist, tossing over his shoulder without looking to land in the wastebasket in the corner. "Barkeep, another soda, please." he asked, raising his hand a little to get his attention - or rather, get it off Kurami - he'd been polishing that glass for 10 minutes now as he stole glances as Kurami, and the rag he was polishing with now had more dirt on it than the glass did.
OOC Notes
"Very forward huh?" Koji asks with a laugh as he looks over his shoulder at the man. He looks normal enough, despite his clothes, but Koji can tel he could be a definate threat. He then turns back to Roku and listens as he talks about the Bijuu, then calmly orders another soda. "You know, I wouldn't be too suprised if that Qilin they keep talking about here were actually some new Bijuu. Well, maybe not new, but you get what I mean. I've heard of stranger stuff either way."
Shaking his head a little Koji realizes he was rambling on. Looking back to the man on the other side of the bar he finishes standing up and grabs the bottle of saki and seals it up before slipping it into his shirt. "You said you were here looking for someone? Who might that be I wonder. This island country has no hidden village or Kage. This day just gets stranger and stranger every minute..."

"Mitako, come quickly! Another one has been found, but she's alive still!" the man says to an older man who'd been sitting unnoticed until now. "You must hurry, she doesn't have long is she can't recieve treatment quick enough!" The old man looks up from his cup and nods, then slowly stands and heads for the door, then teh two of them hurry out, and all inn patrons begin talking hurriedly, some of them leaving behind the two men.

"Do you know about the Qilin?" He asked politely and watched the man run into the inn. "Summoning technique: Gabuka!" He said and a small lizard monster, about the size of a bottle of Saki, appeared in a puff of smoke. Its eyes were black and yellow with no emotion inside of them. "Someone is hurt, you know what to do." He said as two men in the Akatsuki cloak appeared behind them. "You two, use a medical jutsu on whoever is hurt." He said and signaled them to follow them man.

Roku eyed the two men who left in black cloaks then looked back at the man who asked him about the Bijuu. "Now I think I understand your interest in my Bijuu - your old leader was certainly hellbent on collecting a complete set." Roku chugged the last of his soda, then held it sideways between his thumb and two fingers. "If you've come here for me while im on vacation..." He crunched the can flat as rice paper.
Roku glanced at the door. He'd follow them shortly - he was interested in this injured person - but first he wanted be sure he wouldn't be hit in the back with a jutsu soon as he moved towards the door from this person.

"Go on Roku," Koji said, one hand falling to the hilt of his sword. "I got your back. I'll joing you shortly, but first I think this man and I should have a chat." Then, as calmly as he could, he walked over to where the lizard summoning man sat and stood before him. "So, you're a member of Akatsuki, correct? And it's my understanding that you know something about the Qilin spirit that I don't, and that prehaps the people of this island aren't aware of either. Well, I think that, unless you'd like to fight, you shoudl speak up. And trust me, you really really don't want to mess with a ninja when he's on vacation, even if he isn't something special..."
From where he stood there was no way this guy could mess with Roku, or anyone else in the bar. he may not be anything special, but he was quick with his mokuton abilities, and if the guy tried to attack Roku as he was leaving, or do anything else, he could have him ensnsared in tree branches in a few seconds.

Mitako was now on the other side of the town square, in one of the simple homes. There a young girl, who probably would have been a shinobi by now in any other land, was lying on a mat in the floor. There were burns all over her body, and what looked like chain marks.
"It's like someone heated chains up in a furnace then wraped the poor girl up in them..." Mitako says sadly, doing what he can for the girl to relieve her suffering.
Just then a small lizard-like creature and two men in odd outfits appeared in the doorway.
From where he stood there was no way this guy could mess with Roku, or anyone else in the bar. he may not be anything special, but he was quick with his mokuton abilities, and if the guy tried to attack Roku as he was leaving, or do anything else, he could have him ensnsared in tree branches in a few seconds.

"A member me, no, I am the leader." He said with a smirk which was covered by his cloak. "So, you know about my organization. Qilin? All I really know about it is that it lives in a cave in the northern mountain range, and that it can be captured cloned and set free. "Yes, I know about Akatsuki," said Roku as he tossed the crushed can into the wastebasket behind him. "As a Host, you guys are more or less an occupational hazard for me. And you might not want to enslave or kill the spirit, but knowing Akatsuki's past, I hardly doubt you want to clone it just so it can have someone to hang out with - what do you plan on doing with the pseudo-spirit?" asked Roku, He would go after the girl after he knew of this man's plans for the spirit.

"Occupational hazard, eh?" he said and started to think about the previous leader Madara. "Well we don't intend to make an exact copy, we want to make the opposite of the creature instead of peaceful and kind, we make it hateful and evil." He said with a small chuckle and activated his Kekkigan, creating a small barrier around the small cup of Saki. He made the barrier smaller and smaller until the cup was crushed to dust and only the Saki was left.

Roku's eyed narrowed. "Hardly thought you'd use it for charity purposes," he said. "So, if your target is the spirit, why are you lounging in a bar instead of searching the caves for the spirit?" He asked, taking a sip of a new soda the now rather nervous barkeep had placed before him.

"Cause I am on vacation." He said with a laugh," and I can't attack the spirit until I have the Bijuu under my control." He started to drink from the small orb that had Saki in it. "Ah that's good, I like my Saki squeezed never stirred." He said with a grin and opened his eyes to show there normal blue colored form.

Roku raised his can. "Well, then here's to you finding one, because mine's rather 'attached' to me." He took a swig of his drink and set it down on the table. "And you might wanna reconsider your drinking method - truth be told, it's kinda creepy." he said, eyeing the Saki orb.

"Yeah yeah, but it is a bad habit." He said and released the orb allowing the Saki cup dust fall on the counter. "Hey you have to pay for that!" The bartender yelled. "Of course I will, when pigs fly." He said and imagined a pig with wings and flying over some trees. "Ha, pigs flying someone most likely did that." He said with a small laugh.

"So, why are you here?" Roku asked.

"Vacation." He said with a confused look on his face," Didn't I already say that I came here for a vacation?" He yawned, Saki always did that to him. He took two exploding notes out of his cloaks pocket and slowly placed them under the bar's counter top. "I guess that I should get going." He said with a chuckle and stood up.

"I think not..." Koji said, making a single hand seal and causing roots to grow up out of the wooden floor. These roots quickly wrapped around the Akatsuki-nin, binding him up to his waist. "I may have been trained to handle the Uragiri, but I can't just aloow the Akatsuki to make their return. if I deal with you here and now, then I'll save hadships later on down the road..."
As soon as the roots grew up the patrons all scattered, most runing out the door, others up to their rooms or into the back of the bar, where they kept the good stuff. That was fine by Koji, better actually, since less people would have to be involved. Slowly he made the roots tighten up on the mans legs, and as he did he wondered if the ninja had some plan to get away, then figured he probably did, since thie wasn't even a proper jutsu, just a manipulation of chakra and his natural surroundings.

k, wondering - it okay to make Roku the current Raikage? Since by my count it's been 13 years since the Land of Dragons stuff - makes more sense that way if all the villages are backing up one guy.

i know, i liked that one too...i guess Blood and Ghaara just sorta dropped of the face of the earth...makes me sad...
but, anyway, yeah, i figured, i miss using Jin, but it'd be stupid to do a sequel rp and me use him instead of Koji, so i'll just use both, and i guess we'll go with the 'Gyaku wants to take out Roku' idea...is the Land of Lighting alright with you, or would you prefer somewhere else?

um...okay...sequel plots...recap...
Gyaku sent several mutants to try and capture the Qilin spirit...only 2 have survived, Itomo, Mori, and the diamond guy. the spirit is about to be put back to sleep, however there has been some damage done to his cave.
maybe the damage done upsets the balance only slightly. the Land of Dragons is still one of the best places, most peaceful and all, but now they decide to make their own Hidden Village and gain a new Kage...
oh, what if it were something where Itomo has to get back to the Land of Snow, but Gyaku targets her, so Roku and Koji go with her, and along the way must face a new horde of shinobi with mainly ice-type jutsu...and maybe somehow he tries to take the Hachibi from Roku this time...
or...hm...maybe Gyaku, in an attempt to get rid of Roku, since he's foiled his plots like 3 times now, attacks Kumogakure, and so Roku and Koji, maybe Jin as well, all head there to prevent this...
i guess it all depends on a couple of things, like, what should the story/battle ratio be? and how much of a sequel sequel with this be? like, should it tka eoff right after this, or do a time skip...or just like...hey, remember that one time in the Land of Dragins with those guys?...

Hmmm....I'm up for a sequel rp, but idk about Koji getting the Qilin, doesn't the qilin's presence keep the land of dragons island green and fertile? I remember something along those lines earlier in the rp's beginning

so...i'm trying to decide how to end this...as it seems the main part of the plot is coming up soon...that being the stopping of the Qilin from being captured and all...

2. same as 1, except after we calm the Qilin down Gyaku somehow manages to slip in with a space/time jutsu and steals it away, which could mean a sequel rp
3. somehow the calming jutsu thing messes up, and as a side effect the Qilin is sealed within Koji...which i guess would kinda make him the keeper of the Zero-tailed beast or something, idk...and as a sequel Koji and Roku team up for another adventure, but throughout it Koji has to try and cope with being a host

Carries only the usual ninja weapons, kunai, shuriken, etc.
Jutsu List:
Suiton: Great and Constant Wrath- this is the move he used to cause the torrent of water to flow at the group without letting up. using suiton the user creates a sort of underground spring with an opening pointed in whatever direction he likes, then causes the water to constantly flow out of that opening with tremendous force
Mokuton: Spirit Beast Chains Technique- while the 1st Hokage had the ebility to control only the Kyubi, Mori has gained that ability, and amplifyed it through training, so that now he can preform the ritual mentioned in the rp and capture, then control, any spirtual being
Splinter Rasengan- the same technique Koji developed, only his is not as powerful
Mokuton: Crushing Chasm- causes many huge roots to grow through any surface and shoot out like spears to impale or crush his oponents, what he used on us in the tunnel
Mokuton: Clone Wall- after creating several wood clones they all come together, standing on one anothers shoulders, and form a wall. the wall is vert sturdy, as the clones grow together wherever they touch, however they can still attack like this

um...let's see, since you left Koji and Roku at the ramen bar they fought and defeated an blind bird-user, then ran off with Itomo to a cave on the eastern edge of the mountain range, which it turns out is accidentally the entrance to a tunnel system where the Qilin spirit is. Koji's hated younger brother, Mori, is there, and he has the ability to, through a short ritual, control spirits. now Koji and Roku are in the tunnels, about to battle the guy in the pic^ they left Itomo sleeping in the entrance cave, and anyone who enters the cave, aside from them, will trigger a wooden prison trap...i think that's about it...

true, but also, she was occupied with my guy. if she had let her bandages go from my sword he would have either run her through or been able to use a mokuton to capture her or the both of them. and, well, i just wanted her to have a good reason to use her Swift Suture jutsu, since she wasn't used for her intended purpose, as Blood's character in the other rp...

It's alright, ive had sleep/med problems before myself, doesn't put people in the best of moods, it's cool =)
Though im surprised the diamond-nin's arm got taken off by my attack - not that it didn't have the strength to do that, but i was suspecting the other nin would have yanked him off his feet with her bandages to make him fall on his back and avoid the lightning coated diamond shard. But then again, they are npcs, and thus, more expendable.

i didn't go away, i went to sleep, and when i woke up there were like 20 new posts from darkune and the girl who joined, i can't remember her name right now, and then i had to go for a litte while, and when i got back there were about 20 more, and they had already moved way beyond anything that was supposed to happen in the story...i tried to tell you guys that those characters i posted in the OOC were ones we would be running into next, but no one ever said anything about them...

Sorry alchemist - we didn't know. Maybe next time when you have to go for a length of time, post what people need to be where for the plot to continue either in the RP or the OOC forum - that way we can avoid more tangles like the ones we just had.
