Introduction
As far as science at its current state goes, they should not exist. They are creatures of myth and folklore, and potentially very, very dangerous. That was why Containment was set up, to keep them from posing a threat to society, and also study what amde them tick, so to speak.
The research has been headed for the last two years by a brilliant, but rather odd young genius named Arthur 'Art' Crow, and the number of containees has only risen...funding has been pouring in. In fact most suspect that something else was going on, even darker than some of the rather morally questionable research taking place in Containment.
As the facility celebrates its fifth year since its opening, things are about to take a very grim turn.
The Classifcations of Detainees.
Type One
Otherwise appearing to be mostly human, though with strange abilties. These have a great deal of variation and as a result should be contianed according to the strength and agression of the individual.
Trials are taking place towards manufacturing devices to block the use of abilities.
Type Two
Humans with odd characteristics, most commonly those resembling animals, such as avian wings or feline ears. These tend to be the least dangerous of the containees, though it is dependant on thr mutation and the agression factor. Containment measures should be adjusted accordingly.
Experiments are taking place into conditioning those with more functional mutations for military use.
Type Three
Also known as 'Vampires' these specimens appear mostly human, though with pale skin and elongated canine teeth. They appear to be able to need to have a supply of human bloody every few days to survive. They're very crafty, and appear to have no sense of empathy for the most part. Maximum security is implemented with Type Threes.
A few starvation trials are being conducted to invesitgate an alternative to human blood.
Type Four
Or 'werewolves'. These can generally be considered low risk containees, whne they are in 'human' form..however on full moons, and in response to certian 'triggers' they become extremely dangerous and aggressive creatures, with wolf-like features. In this form they will attack any personell in the area, and highest security measures are advised at these times.
Research has been undertaken into preventing the transformations, but any attempt at halting it so far has resulted in massive internal bleeding and death of the subject.
Levels of Containment
Epsilon
Lowest level. Detainees are allowed to wander the public areas, though are confined to their cells at night, and must have their ID on show at all times.
Delta
Delta class detainees are allowed out of their cells for six hours a day, under watch of an assigned supervisor. They are required to wear ID and a uniform, and thier cells are checked more regularly than Epsilon class.
Gamma
Gamma class detainees, are allowed out of thier cells one hours a day for exercise and then for meal times. There are two detainees per cell, and cells are patrolled regularly. Uniform is required.
Beta
Beta class detainees are confined to thier cells all the time, and are locked in individual cells with whatever containment measures are required. The Beta block is patrolled at all times by armed guards.
Alpha
The highest security level. Alpha class detainees are locked up in high security containment units, and almost never see the light of day.
