The sun was shining bright through Isabel's window. She rubbed her eyes and got out of bed. She was use to getting up early to start her daily chores. She showered and got ready for the day before making breakfast for her family. Her mother wanted her out and about today because she knew the royal family was coming to town today. Isabel had never seen the royal family before, so she was excited. As she finished up breakfast the kids woke up and came to the table. Mother came in from milking the cow, and Evan came in from chopping wood. After breakfast, Isabel went and got ready for town.

It was the day of the trip to the theater every time she hated going.Seeing all the others there on the stage and the lower class down standing at the stage.Getting into her best dress as her mother stood at her door waiting.She went down the stairs into the carriage and headed to town.

Evan stretched as he laid down his axe from chopping wood. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and there wasn't a cloud in sight - except for the one over Evan's head. The royals were coming today. Great.
As he headed inside for breakfast he couldn't help but notice how excited Isabel was about going to town today. Why she wanted to waste her time getting dolled up for some people who wouldn't even notice her was beyond him. After breakfast he decided to help his mother do the dishes. "Ma, why are you encouraging this? You know they're just gunna spit on her like they do the rest of us..." he told her quietly.
"Now you hush," the older woman replied, "She could do with some excitement around here at her young age. How is she going to get any with a dead goose like you hanging over her shoulder?"
Evan gave a small laugh at her response. "But Ma,-"
"Oh come now, son. If it bothers you so much you can go with her. She needs some chaperoning anyhow, the city is a dangerous place for a young girl alone."
He sighed in submission and headed to his room for a fresh shirt. Looked like he'd be getting a better view than he'd like.

Maria was getting ready for another long boring day of being pampered. Most people thought she had it all but all she wanted was for something new. Like an adventure or something that doesnt happen often. One of her maids knocked on the door.
"Come in." She said looking at the door while another maid helped her get into her favorite dress.
The Maid walks in shyly and says "Miss, a message from your father, 'You are visiting into town today to meet with the local peasants. There is a reason and you will see it later.' So you should hurry up Miss your carriage is waiting."
Maria rolls her eyes and finishes gettting ready. She climbs into the carriage and goes on her way to town. Maybe this will be fun... She thinks to herself.

Emily changed quickly into her castle garb - a simple maid's outfit. She knew she had to wear it when she worked in the kitchens, but she still thought she looked silly. Suck clothes weren't fitting for someone like her. She felt much more comfortable in her peasant's clothes.
As she finished changing, she rushed into the kitchen. They were already busy preparing lunch for the royals, for when they returned from their trip into town. A huge ham was being painted with exotic sauces, potatoes were being cleaned and peeled, onions chopped, and bread dough made. That was where she came in. Emily got together the ingredients for the special bread. It was a recipe she made herself, and it was the favorite of the royals. They loved what they called the "Royal Spiced Bread." Emily didn't like that, either. Such a name didn't fit her bread, bread made by a peasant.
Emily moved out of the way as a cart of supplies bustled in. Across from her, another kitchen maid was working tirelessly on the cakes for dessert. She sighed and took in another deep breath, smiling.
"It sure does smell good in here," she said cheerfully. "How many loaves this time? Six, seven?" She mused to herself a bit, then decided just to make seven. The royals always liked having extra food, even if they didn't eat it.

Garrus woke up early got dressed and walked out into the house. He kisses his mom and his little sisters on the forehead. He walks out into the street and heads to the tavern. He walks past the patrons silently and walks up to the bar keep. "hey jerry anyone need to be thrown out." the bar keep smiles and points at young man who had been there all night. Garrus walks up to the man pats him on the shoulder and smiles "Sir if you would please exit this establishment." The patron stood up and smiled
"What you gonna do kid get your daddy." That struck a nerve and he grabbed his arm and escorted him out. Upon reaching the door and pushes him onto his backside and smirks "Now you gonna go home or am i gonna have to lay you flat?"

In the town people called out rushing to the theater.Jamie took her seat in the balcony with her family waiting for the rest to come and the theater to fill in.

Isabel was outside when she noticed the royal carriage coming down the street. "Mama mama they are here!" The carriage was heading into town to the theater. "Mama can I go?" Isabel said running in the house. "Yes you can." Her mother said as she turned to run out of the house. "But Evan is going with you." Her mother yelled as she was at the door. Isabel stopped in her tracks. She turned to face her mother. "But mom..." She whined. "No buts, you need someone to watch over you." Isabel rolled her eyes and walked to the bottom of the stairs. "Evan lets go!"

Evan sighed as he heard Isabel call for him impatiently. "Alright, aright," he called as he came down the stairs. As they headed towards town he decided to have a decent attitude about this, considering it would probably take all day. Who knew, maybe it would turn out to be interesting?
He turned to his sister. "So what exactly are you expecting to happen?" he asked her curiously. It wouldn't hurt to at least try to make her happy if he could. Although if she wanted to become their best friends all of a sudden and live happily-ever-after then that was a whole other story...

Philip stretched as he stepped out of the royal carriage into the sun and fresh air. That journey from the palace to the town theater was always much longer than he expected it to be. As he and his siblings approached the theater he saw throngs of peasants watching them, some trying to be subtle and some openly gaping. He was never sure how he was supposed to react to this so he tried to ignore the stares, but he had to smile when he saw a group of children waving at them. He waved back as he passed them and entered the theater and sat next to Jamie in the royal viewing box.
"It's worse than usual today isn't it?" he asked her quietly, looking around as he did so. People all over the place were watching them as if they would be the ones performing instead of those onstage.

Isabel looked up at her brother. "I don't know. I just want to meet them, talk to them, see what they are like. See how they dress and how they think. I guess I just want to get to know them." She smiled at her brother. She knew he had his doubts about the whole thing but she never gave up hope. Her father always told that anything was possible, so she believed there was a possibility.

"You have no idea.This is another comedy the ones with pity laughs as our parents talk about how great it is"she giggled as she looked down at the stage then at philip she whispered to him softly "Want to make this more fun and run off into town? almost no ones out thare and better then being here"

"What time do we expect them back from the theatre?" Emily asked over her shoulder, looking to her Head Master of the kitchen. She was a firm old woman, but she was fair. She knew just about every movement the royals made, but how, Emily couldn't begin to guess. She beat the dough through and through with her hands, mixing the ingredients evenly, adding some here and there.

The Head Master, Ms. Margret, looked up from her work only briefly. "High noon," she said flatly. "Just as always. Not even a day out like this makes them miss their meal times. Strict as ever," she slapped a kitchen scullion up his head for dropping dirty dishes on the floor. "No, nothing changes. Not around here."

Emily sighed. That was a bit away from now. Not too long, though. The royals always ate at the same times every day. Breakfast at eight. Lunch at noon. Afternoon tea at three. Supper at six. The castle curfew was ten, at least for servants such as Emily. Chamber servants stayed the whole night, but others, such as herself, were forbidden to come out from their quarters until four the next morning, to prepare for breakfast. Emily couldn't really guess why, but rules were rules, and there were plenty of them.

Evan smiled back at Isabel and shook his head slightly. Typical. Of course she wanted the whole other story. He wondered how they would even get anywhere near the royal family, let alone get to know them. As they got into town they paused in the square and looked around. Seemed like almost everyone was inside to see the show that would play in a few minutes. He turned to his sister, "I think it might be best if we waited out here for a while, the theater is packed inside anyways.."

Philip grinned at Jamie's idea and immediately began to plan out their escape route. If they told the guard they needed to use the restroom..? No, then they'd be followed. If they wanted fresh air..? No, they'd give an escort. Then he got it.
He walked over to the single guard that was stationed outside the viewing box. "Good morning, sir. I wonder if I could trouble you for something to drink? It's for my aunt. She's feeling quite parched, you see."
"Certainly, Prince Philip, I'll send someone right away!"
"Oh no, sir, I'd really feel so much better if you got it for her personally. I hate to ask it, but you are the only one here from the palace and so you are the only person I can trust to not put anything poisonous in her drink. You understand, don't you?"
"Well... I suppose... But what about my post..?"
"Now sir, I'm sure no one will try to storm the viewing box in the 2 minutes while you're away. Really."
"Alright, your highness, if you insist.."
When the guard left Philip motioned to Jamie, telling his aunt that they he was escorting her to the bathroom, and they quickly headed outside away from the bustling crowds.

Jamie fallowed closely as they reached the outside she ran into another person."im so sorry"She looked at the girl she ran into.It was Isabel

As Isabel and Even decided to wait outside the castle someone ran into her. As she looked over to see who it was, her Jaw dropped. "I'm sorry your majesty." She said as she curtsied to the princess.

Evan quickly reached out to catch his sister as somebody rammed into her from behind. When he turned to look he was stunned to see two of the royal family members standing before them. What were they doing away from their body guards? And more importantly what were they doing trying to run over Isabel? He watched warily as the two girls apologized to each other. Isabel, really? You're apologizing to her for minding your own business and not knowing this girl would be running out..? he thought irritably, but he kept quiet. He knew speaking his mind would not be the wisest thing at the moment, but he didn't bow either.

Philip stopped as he heard the collision behind him. When he turned around he noticed the two peasants that he hadn't seen in passing. He smiled at how pleasant the girl reacted to Jamie's blunder, although the irritation in the boy's face didn't go unnoticed. He let that pass, however, in favor of making a new friend. "Did my sister run into you, miss? I hope she didn't cause you any harm," he addressed her kindly.

Isabel looked up and saw Philip. She studied his face. He had the most handsome face she had ever seen. She slightly jumped when he spoke. She looked back at Evan and then back to the prince and princess. "No, its okay I'm fine." She said slightly blushing.

Philip gave the girl a smile. "That's a relief," he told her, "I would hate for us to leave a bad impression when we've just met. I'm Prince Philip, if you haven't guessed, and this is Princess Jamie. The rest of our family is... occupied at the moment, so I'm afraid you'll have to make do with just the two of us." He frowned slightly, glancing at the theater doors and stepping out of the line of view. "And may I ask who we have the pleasure of bumping into?"

"My name is Isabel." She said offering her hand to the prince. "And that is my brother Evan." She looked around. "So what are you guys doing out here?"

"Pleased to meet you." The prince took Isabel's hand and kissed it lightly, his blue eyes meeting hers as he did so. She had a lovely face. When he heard her question he looked over at Jamie before answering. "It got a bit stuffy in there, so we decided to step out for a bit. It's not a very interesting play anyway, we've seen it at least twice already," he explained, not going into detail. What they were doing was generally frowned upon but it was better than getting ogled at by a bunch of people. "I don't suppose either of you would mind showing us around here for a while, would you?"

Evan groaned inwardly when Philip kissed her hand. What a player. He tried to hide a frown when the prince asked for a tour too, but since he'd already told himself he would behave he looked at Isabel and answered, "I suppose we have time for a short tour..."

Emily impatiently waited for the dough to finish rising. She washed the counters, floors, and dirty utensils used while they prepared lunch. She hated cleaning most, but it was necessary. She wiped her forearm across her brow. Such work was tiring.
She didn't know how long til the royals returned, exactly, but guessed that they still had a good two hours. It couldn't come soon enough. After serving the royals their lunch, she could go home. Well... at least for a couple hours. She'd have to return later anyway to help with supper.

Isabel's face turned bright red when the prince kissed her hand. She looked over at Evan's face, she kinda giggled at his expression. When the prince asked for a tour Isabel got very excited especially when Evan said yes. She ran over to her brother and gave him a big hug. "Thank you Evan!" She said with a twinkle in her eye.

Jamie looked around"Shouldn't we go before we are caught and made to sit in the awful theater"She started to walk off "come on lets go hide"

Evan ruffled Isabel's hair affectionately before starting after Jamie. "If you're looking to hide, princess, you'd be better off going to the general store," he said pointing to the big building to their left when he caught up with her. "Small children have been known to get lost in there and never come out." He was joking of course, but the place was huge.
