Chapter One: The Crash
Day One through Five (Posts 1-636)
The students crash on the island by plane and by day one, they begin to understand that there is more to this island than just sand and trees.
Chapter Two: New Discoveries
Day Sixty Seven through _______ (Posts 637-____)
Great time has lapsed since Chapter One ended, and the survivors have realized their powers, and understood more about the island. But they soon find that they have learned close to nothing compared to what is to come.
December 16, 2010
The plane has been flying for about three hours now, all over the Atlantic Ocean. It's late at night, and the plane shouldn't land for about another five hours. Suddenly over the intercom the passengers hear the pilot talking with a calm yet panicked voice, "Please put your seatbelts on, we are going through some heavy turbulence." Five minutes after the huge bumps of the outside storm, oxygen masks, and life vests are opened above the seats. The plane has become pure chaos now as everyone tries to ready themselves. The plane begins to descend extremely fast, and crashes in to the ocean.

Few people emerge from the wreckage in the middle of the ocean, but some make it to a nearby island, concious or not. The few survivors wake up to a bright morning sun shining on the white sand beach. Most of the island is covered in overgrown tropical vegetation, no obvious life other than birds high above the tall trees, and no people, or so they thought.
The plane consisted of students at a high school in South Carolina, and three teachers, going on a special trip to Italy.
The island is inhabited by many animals: birds, snakes, spiders, insects, and possibly mammals of our choosing. We also may find people, probably not a tribe like we would think, because I'm guessing if people were on the island they would have been in the same situation as us, but they are more savage than us from life on this island for so long.

AugmentationAudit wrote:It is difficult to accurately grade this piece overall, as there are various characters and users that fall into a wide range of writing-level categories present. Some of of the writers taking part are proficient, while others are inexperienced, and there are a great deal of characters in this particular document. Overall, I think one of the reasons that this RP is slowing down is the number of characters in a set area, variance in post sizes and qualities, and a lack of specific post order. A large group of characters is present, but many of them appear to be in separate areas, though they are contained within a main environment; it is good that some posts identify where and when the characters are interacting, but this is not present in all posts, which can lead to some confusion. The idea for the plot is a good one, and some of the characters are well written, though others could benefit from some improvement. The same can be said for the quality and content of the writing therein. I think this piece of writing could do with a revamp, as it is obviously feeling the strain at the moment and as such less writing is happening. There isn't a great deal going on in terms of an introduction in the Introduction section; the story there could do with beefing out a little, although it is good that what is there is relevant to the plot and characters involved. I think what this RP needs is a little help getting back off of the ground; some of the characters need some assistance in growing, and proofing of posts for some authors needs to be a little more thorough; there are several easy to spot mistakes in recent posts that don't make for easy reading, and some of the posts have become quite small. To help this RP get going again, introducing a posting order (or a micro-culture posting order) may benefit, so that writers know when it is their turn and when they are expected to post. Also, setting a rough estimate on word count per post (a minimum, certainly) may help put detail back in where it has become lacking and close the stark gap that seems to have formed between the higher and lower level posts in this piece. At the moment, it is clear that this RP needs a little direction injecting back into it, but the fact that it has clearly been popular shines favorably upon both creator and participants. The characters interact well, the plot has clearly been pushed forwards steadily throughout the narrative, and writers of all levels have managed to stick together throughout; this is commendable. With a little work, this will be a very satisfying RP for those participating.

The Crash
Max woke up at about 6:00 A.M. and had a huge headache. He felt the left side of his head, and could feel his hair matted with dried up blood. He thought about what had happened the night before. All he could remember was the plane heading directly into the middle of the ocean. He had no clue what to do, because he and probably many others didn't even listen to the flight attendants safety instructions. That's the last time that will happen for Max. They crashed into the ocean before he could get a life vest on, and his head smacked in to the ceiling of the plane, and he went unconcious in the next five minutes. Apparentley someone must have saved him out of the wreckage before he drowned.
He looked at his surroundings for the first time now since he had woken up. He was lying on a pearly white sand beach. The kind you picture in Florida when you're on a vacation with the family. He had never seen white sand in his life. Where he lived on the East Coast, the beaches were all brown, like the sand in a kid's sandbox. He picked up some of the sand, and it fell through his hand quickly. The grains were miniscule to the average grain. Max turned around and saw about ten yards of more beach and then trees of all kinds as high as the eye can see. The island had a tropical feel to it. Behind the trees he could see the faintest brown clump, which seemed like the top of a small mountain. Max wondered where he landed. There aren't any marked islands that he knew of in the middle of the Atlantic. So he concluded that it was either a deserted island, or heaven. "Am I dead?" he asked himself. He pinched his arm and it hurt a bit. From that, Max guessed he was alive, even though thats the test for if you're asleep, he guessed that it works the same for heaven.
Before Max was going to set off to search the island for other people, food, and shelter, he couldn't get over bloody head. He stood up and staggered a bit because of his head, but got settled and walked to the shore. He took his gross dryed up salty shirt, pants, and footwear, and jumped into the water. It was nice and warm, and shallow enough that he could see the small fish and seaweed at the bottom. He washed his head vigourously, but not hard enough to open up the wound again, and then washed his whole body. He got out of the water after he was done, and put his pants back on, but left his shoes, socks, and shirt on the beach. It was too hot for them here. He sat back down to dry off and think of what to do next.

Theo had been unconscious though most of the crash, but awoke to find himself under water entirely, seeing only the blur of the planes wreckage slowly sinking down into the depths. Suddenly, he turned his head to the left and saw a large chunk of metal hurling towards him, and with a large clatter, Theo was unconscious once again. The only thing running through his mind in this darkness was if he was dead, and what had happened. Everything seemed to have gone by so fast he had hardly had the time to take it all in. Even knocked out, Theo managed to have thoughts running through his mind. Was he ok? Did everyone else on the plane survive, where was he going to end up? Though he would get no answers yet.
"Huagh!" Theo took in a large gasp of air as he awoke on the beach, sitting up and coughing almost half of the sea out of his lungs. The aweful taste of salt water made him cough up more from his lungs, and allowed him to breath properly and deeply. After a small while, Theo looked up, taking in his surroundings, before trying to stand. He fell. Clutching the left side of his stomach, he moved his hand to see a large wound opened up across his abdomin, probably due to the wreckage. Slowly, he managed to stumble to his feet, taking off his hoodie and wrapping it tightly around him, making sure to cover the wound, before carefully walking down the shore, looking for anyone who may have survived the crash, and needed help.

Lydia's eyes fluttered open and a look of pain glazed over her eyes, she couldnt move her wrist, every time she tried pain washed over it. Without second thought she bent her wrist back into place, letting out a low and agonizing wail as she did so. Rememberance flashed in her eyes and she remembered, her and the other students had been flying to Italy overnight and the plane had crashed. Lydia closed her eyes, sharply intaking air into her lungs a she cradled her wrist. It hurt less now, wich was probably a good thing.
Finnaly, she slowly lifted her eyes to her souroundings, nothing seemed familiar. She wasnt sure where she was, but she knew one thing. She was afraid. It was highly unatural for Lydia to be afraid, she had always been the tough and mean one, the one who made sarcastic comments. Without realization she found herself standing and staggering, her vision blurred. She reached her hand up to touch her face, remembering her broken nose She felt it was crooked, bu beyond that the pain was nothing compared to the rest of her sore body. Small dots of blood caked the front of her shirt and beow her nose from it breaking. She shuddered and staggered foeward.
"Hello!" She called, hoping the others were alright, for once in her life she wasnt sure of anything, hermind a complete blur, "Guys! Anybody!"
Nobody answered, so she staggered foreward, making her way slowly and painfully towards a patch of trees, in hopes of finding them. She had the fleeting thought of hope that maybe this was some sick joke, but reality hit her and she halted, falling to her knees and wincing in pain. This was no joke, she had really been in plane crash, she had really broken her nose and possibly her wrist and toher things. She had a passing memory of water, but no rememberance of actually falling into it, even though now that her senses were coming back she realized her hair was very wet, though the rest of her was only damp. A thought hit her, what if the others had drowned? She stood with urgancy, cupping her hands around her mouth.
"HELLO! GUYS!" She shouted, her eyes glazed over with a sense of fear, "please answer!" She whispered as she looked around. Suddenly she realized what she was doing, Lydia Price, was showing weakness and fear. Lydia suddeny let a look of determination cross her face as she also scowled in fury. There was no way she was going to let some crash undermine her, and make her into the weak little girl she once was so many years ago.

On a nearly deserted island, the form of a young girl began to writhe. Lifeless for what seemed like years, she coughed and struggled to breathe. Sand and salt water, as well as a bit of blood spilt out of her mouth. She didn't dare to open her eyes. She didn't want to see the bodies. She weakly laughed, and, after a brief internal struggle with her body, she stood up, swaggering and terribly off balance. Still, she kept her eyes fearfully and almost religiously closed against the horrors. Her long hair flowed messily down in dirty strands. She also had pain while breathing, or even moving around. And her chest area felt decidedly strange.
Violet let her hand drift around her ribs... some of whch were oddly mobile. Now Violet couldn't feel the pian at all- it was most likely shock. She felt completely and utterly disconnected from her body as she perused the pains that pulled her.
My ribs might be broken, I'm bleeding pretty bad from my leg I think. I probably had a concussion.
But her eyes felt weird as well. She wiped her hands over her closed and bloody eyelids, and felt contact with something steel. She wrenched it out, still not registering the impossibly agonizing pain awracking through her body. The object fell to the ground with an audible clunk, and a warm, somewhat saltine liquid gushed down her face slowly. Then she opened her eyes. Her eyes that were unseeing; would never see again. Pupils gashed and stabbed by little fragments of steel, and her left eye had a larger chunk imbedded in it. A gruesome hole, pumping a thick liquid, in her left, where the chunk she had taken out was there. A terrible feeling of horror swept through her body, and Violet knelt and decided to cry. Salty tears stung her wounds, the wounds in her eyes that would see no more. She faintly heard the sound of somewhat crying out for others. The voice was shrill and fear haunted her words, sounding terribly shaken and paranoid. Violet started heading in that direction, and tripped over something hard and fleshy.
So she had no other option.
"Im here, please come help me!" She wailed in response to the unknown girl, who didn't seem that far away from her.

What had happened after that though? How had she ended up here? Surely she shouldn't have survived? How long had she been here? Stephanie's mind was full of questions but there were more pressing matters. Somehow she needed to find help. Still feeling bewildered she tried to move but winced, her whole body ached and she was as stiff as a board. She tried to call out but her voice was much too hoarse from the salt water and hurt even to whisper. For the first time Stephanie realized how weak she was, she could barely move but she needed to, so pushing out the last of her strength she lifted herself up onto her knees. She rubbed her temples, her head hurt so much. She opened her eyes but immediately shielded them again, the sun was so bright. Gingerly she tried to open her eyes again, she looked around... an empty beach. She needed to find someone. It was her only chance, she couldn't survive alone.

She grabbed onto her shoulder with sandy fingers as she brushed off her jeans with her free hand. She squeaked in pain as she put slight pressure on it to stop the bleeding. Alone and bleeding, what could get worst? Her vision wasn't blurred, but it was messy. She put her free hand onto her head, with a couple of minor scratches, a deep yet small gash on her shoulder. She didn't even bother to remeber what had happen, and chances are, she didn't want to.
She forced herself up onto her feet with some painful moans as she did. She wobbled as she tried to stand still. She looked around, no one. What does she do? She starts to waddle forward, looking as if she was highley intoxicated. She kept walking untill five minute later, she fell onto her face, forcing her fingers deeper into her gash, causing her to yelp loudly.

Theo cautiously followed the sound and the trail of blood until he saw something. A girl was half kneeling half laying on somebody, but he couldn't see who they were. His face took on a sudden look of urgency, and he sped up as to get to them faster. Theo would have had no warning as to what he was going to see. The girl he'd seen before, he thought. She had been sat in front of him on the plane, and he recognised her hair. She seemed to be laid on one of the teachers, Dr. Watson, who was laying completely still. As he got just over the girl, he noticed something was wrong. Dr. Watson was mutilated almost beyond recognition. During the crash his face and slammed right into wall of the plane, but his body must have been ragged about pretty badly before he wound up here.
Theo lifted his hand to his face, covering his nose and mouth, "Jesus.." he spoke aloud, before looking at the girl, "Hey.. hey are you o-" he stopped suddenly when she turned her head in his direction. Theo winced as he saw her, her face pretty much torn up and half metal, "Oh.. fuck.." he turned his face away for a moment before looking back at her and kneeling down, pulling the girl away gently from the mutilated teacher. She must have been stumbling about and tripped over him by mistake, at least that's what Theo has deducted. Theo fell back onto his bottom and crossed his legs, pulling the girl back, using his legs and one arm around her shoulders to support her, side ways on, as he examined her destroyed eyes.
"Hey, I need you to speak to me.." he spoke in a gentle voice and awaited her response.
OOC Notes
"Jesus... hey are you oh-" The scared voice asked. Which was norma. Every voice was scared. "Oh Jesus." The voice exclaimed, now more obviously male, although it had a sick sound to it, as if one wanted to vomit. There was a long pause, and then gentle hands leped her sit down. The voice breathed irregularily, as if there was a big shock. But at least he could see a shock. "Hey... I need you to speak to me." The voice said soothingly, almost lovingly. Violet opened her mouth. It was a conscious effort to move her tongue.
"I can't see". Violet said plainly. She was still disassociated with everything, numb. It's almost as if her brain could detatch from it's earthy cage. Violet giggled a little at the thought. "Why can't I see?" She asked whoever was helping her. She could sort of recognize the voice, but she couldn't pick up a face nor a name to match.
"I'm happy I'm not the only one who survived? Violet babbled without thinking, her voice frighteningly monotone. "It'd be hard to survive like this alone, right? I can't see. What a laugh riot!"
Her voice was verging on hysteria, but maddeningly calm and collected. She could hear everything almost twice as well as she used to- every bird landing on the beach, every wave that crashed into the sand, even the hard ragged breathing of her new friend. She wondered who else survived. Maybe there were more.
"I'm tired. And hungry." Violet whined. She heard a rough sigh from in front of her. Whoever this person is, Violet hopes he would stay. They might be able to make it home, somehow.
"I always loved reading. Have you seen my book?" Violet asked conversationally, although there was a darker, more sinister undertone to it.
OOC Notes
"You erm.. You got a name?" Theo continued to speak in his gentle voice, comforting her the best he could, and trying to figure out why she wasn't feeling this. "I'm gunna need something to call you arn't I..?" All the time he was talking, he was mentally planning the actions he would have to take here. Her eyes.. couldn't stay in her head, not like this, if they got infected she'd be done for. How would Theo even be able to tell her that?, "Erm.. We need to get what's left of your eyes out of your head.." No, that would never do. He would need to do this subtly, and make sure then she was ready enough to understand.
"I'm Theo.. And I'm afraid I haven't seen your books.."

He ran back to his shirt that luckily was dry, since he didn't wear it to bathe. He picked it up and ran back to Saphire. "Here." He pressed the shirt against her shoulder gash and held it there for a few minutes. "Sorry, if this hurts." He knew it was helping though, because if you apply pressure the bleeding would stop. "So, have you seen any other survivors?" he asked.
OOC Notes
"Never mind, sorry, uh hold on." Normally she would had totally rejected a helping hand from someone, but right now, she was very happy to see someone other than herself. When he applied the pressure, she winced a little. "Sorry if this hurts." She slowley started to recongnize his voice. When he asked her about other surviors, she looked up at him. "When I woke up, I was alone." She spoke as if she was computer-programmed to say that. She lowerd her head back down and waited untill he was done.

"Violet Rose Petrie. Born on February 24th, 1996, I live in North Carolina and I-" Violet suddenly turned to the boy, almost as if she could sense him.
"But I want to read." Violet pouted. "I want to read it helps calm me down. I'm at a good part, mommy! You need to let me finish. Please? I'll go to bed right after. I'm a good girl." Violet grinned toothily. "You can trust me. Please trust me!" She could faintly see the image of her mother, burned sweetly into her brain as well as anything. She could hear and feel the delights of reading in bed, before falling asleep, the mind always in that neutral mindspace, half awake and asleep. She continued babbling and rambling endlessly, repeating many things word-for word that she ever said previously in her life. The sadness of when her mother died; the elation of when she turned nine; or even the horror of when she had her first period. A small voice in her head, barely heard but it was there. She couldn't remember when it had started; it was almost as if it had always been there, with nothing to call her attention to it.
Please focus... if you want to live you have to focus. The boy is trying to save your life please you have to help him help you

"Hey"he shouted out of joy.Not only that he was alive, but he was not alone. It was Theo and Violet.
"Woooohooo!"Chris shouted once again. He could have gone mad out of joy. Then suddenly he remembered his arm and he was shackled from the pain.He probably forgot about it.
At first he stopped, but then he started walking towards the group.
"Hello,"he said after a deep breath, calmly this time.

After Max finally finished with the bandage he stood up and said, "There, that's the best I can do. I'm not really a survivalist guy." He looked up at the bright sun. It was already burning his skin and he sort of wished he had his shirt back so he could wear it, but it was going to good use so it didn't matter. "Uh, can you walk alright?" he asked. He guessed she could since the only wound he saw was the shoulder, but then again she was on the ground when he found her. "I was hoping to go look for any other passengers, but I think we should stick together if we're going to survive here," he said. "I'm guessing there's no civilization on this island."
Max sat down next to Saphire until she was able to get up and looked out on the horizon. Ocean as far as they eye can see, with no other land visible except a few rocks close by peering out of the water. But something caught his eye. Was that smoke? He stood up to get better view. Probably 100 yards out in the water he saw a little bit of smoke coming out of the water, and also part of a wing to the plane. He wasn't sure, but it was deffinately not a boat or a rock. He almost jumped in the water to go see if any items survived the crash, but decided that it was the least of his worries for now. He needed food first, and to find other passengers.
OOC Notes
She could see it as her tenni-shoes and socks soaked into the water. "T -the..." She talked quietly as if it was a whisper, but it wasn't quite a whisper. "The Plane!" She looked at it. She dropped to her knees as she watched the plane. What the hell was going on? The only thing she said about it was the words, "My locket..."
She relized that she was infront of a boy, and her attitude change swiftley. She got up and marched over to him, taking off her sweat-shirt and handing it to him. It was big enough for him to wear it. "Here, you getting sunburn isn't going to help."
She had her locket in her lugage because she wasn't able to wear it on the flight ride do to it's shape of a small knife and it was the only memory she had of her parents and her having good times. Now it was gone. Her jeans where wet along with her shoes and socks. Though, she really didn't care.
She looked at him. "I guess we have no way to get back. We will have to go with what you want." She said, her eyes serious but if you look closely, she was terrified beyond her witts.

Theo looked down at her again, then across at Dr. Watson. "Violet.. Right, that's a lovely name.. As for your book.. I'm really sorry but there is nothing much I can do.." After a moment, he noticed that Dr. Watson had his bag still on him, strapped around his body. He had been that sort of guy, the nerdy teacher that never took anything off in fear of it being stolen, and packing everything he'd need in any situation, making this very convenient. Theo reached over and unstrapped the bag from Watsons body, turning his head away from the disgusting sight as he pulled the bag towards him and opened it up.
"Looks like we're in luck Miss Violet.. I may have found some things.." Theo slowly opened up the bag and started taking things out. His face became bewildered and slightly disturbed when he pulled out a soggy Playboy magazine and a bottle of Johnsons baby oil. "Oh my God.. I bet he lived with his mum too.." Theo shook his head and kept routing through the bag, smiling as he found a large green box with a white cross on it. "Perfect.." he spoke aloud and placed the first aid kit down on the sand, opening it to see what was inside.
Theo was quite shocked. This first aid kit was like a miniature surgery, filled with all sorts of strange equipment and disinfectants, something he suddenly realised he'd most likely have to use. "Violet.. I need to tell you something.. that may come as a shock.." Theo spoke as kindly as he could in his soothing yet serious voice, "Your eyes.. Your eyes are pretty badly damaged.. and I'm afraid that.. that you won't see again.." he watched her face as she reacted to his words. "I'm sorry but.. all we can do is.. we need to remove what's left.. or it could get worse.. and you could get very sick.."
Taking a quiet deep breath, Theo held it before speaking in almost a whisper, "I'm sorry Miss Violet, but.. It's the only choice we have.. are you getting any of this..?" he released the breath and half hugged her, trying his best to make the news as undistressing as possible. "I need your thoughts.. I need you to think straight for me.. can you do that Miss Violet..?"
(If anyone has a problem with Theo conveniently finding this stuff, let it be known. Being fair however, it's quite plausable, useful, and unless we want me to cut out Violets eyes with some broken coconut shell, we should let it go! xD)

Stephanie began to limp northward, keeping her eyes forward on the beach ahead, that seemed to go on forever. Soon, she stepped in something damp, unsure of what it was. She realised that she was nowhere near the sea, at least not close enough to where the sand was dampened by the tide. She looked down at her feet and noticed she was standing in blood red sand, making her face instantly drop. When she noticed she was standing in blood she hopped back slightly with a yelp. Stephanie hated blood, she didn't mind seeing it, but contact or a close view was a big no no unless it was her own. She looked at the blood and noticed a trail leading towards a more central spot of the island.
Suddenly, Stephanie noticed a boy, holding a girl in his arms. She quietly moved behind a tree and watched what they were doing. The girl seemed to have something wrong with her eyes, and the boy was helping. Not wanting to get in the way, Stephanie stayed hidden, and watched the two people before her, wondering what they would do.

Violet didn't want to get sick. Not at all. That would be horrible! Her subconscious had removed her from her mortal pains, bringing her into herself, sunken and crenallated. Nirvana. It means freedom from pain. Freedom from everything. Freedom from life. Freedom from fear of harm in every way. She was only aware of the soft breeze; the sounds of heavy breathing; almost panting, and the strange thick liquid, somewhat dried up and coagulated on her face. She was aware of these things, but she was also aware of something else. And that was what she focused on.
Violet was five. She had a dog. A happy looking Border Collie that barks and and gives that dopey doggy grin. She always liked the smile. She named him Smiley, which, in retrospect, was a totally lame name. But Violet was five and didn't know any better. Why would she know better? She's just in her room, doors and windows closed. Playing with Smiley. Feeling a faint breeze on her face, and enjoying the salty smell of the sea... but that couldn't mean anything bad. She's only five! She's happy and safe.
She knelt on the floor and looked at her dog: a pug. A second ago it was a border collie but now it's a rather small and snout-nosed pug. Smiley still gave that doggy grin. Violet giggled. She wondered how a dog could change but dismissed it. But her eyes felt weird and she could heart faint murmurs... murmurs that seemed to be beyond this world.
I need your thoughts... I need you to think straight for me... can you do that, Miss Violet?"
All the pain started rushing back in, and for the first time on the island, Violet's head was clear. She screeched as she searing pain bit into her chest and eyes, [i]Eyes? What eyes?, and she struggled to keep quiet, breathing harsh and raggedly, and looked to where she thought the voice was coming from.
"H-how.. bad are they?" Violet asked tersely, through gritted teeth, trying to bite the aches away. She knew, but she didn't want to believe. Not her eyesight. How could she live blind? How?
"They might recover... right? And w-what if you mess up or something?" She moved her fingers gingerly to her face, but couldn't bear to touch her eye. She wanted to be back in that safe place inside her head. She wanted the Island to go away. But she couldn't go back in- her mind wouldn't let her. So she felt towards the voice and held him tight.

"Hey, uh, it's none of my bussiness, but if you had something on the plane that means something to you, then we can go see if it's still there, but it's too dangerous now," said Max. He took the sweater from Saphire and thanked her. The sweater would make him as hot as a furnace, but it was better than getting burnt until they could find decent shade.
He started walking North, guessing that if anyone landed anywhere on the beach, then they would be North. Max and Saphire were all the way on the South side of the plane crash, and there probably wasn't anyone south of them. As they walked, Max thought he'd stop acting so serious and be more lively. They were going to be here for a while, so why not make the best of it. "Uh, you know...This is kind of like Cast Away, you know with Tom Hanks--," he paused and spoke a little quieter, because the next part was a little negative. "Except, this doesn't last two hours, it might last forever." He gave out a nervous laugh, as if it was a joke, but he knew it could be true.

"Except, this doesn't last two hours, it might last forever." After that, from what she could hear he gave out a nervous laugh.
She looked at him. "At least we survived." She spoke quietly, not caring if he heard or not. She saw him sweating and looked around. Her arm was starting get numb, or fall asleep, what ever it was, it felt heavy, sore and as if it wasn't even there. She started to check her pockets.
She was thirsty, and from where she was, she could tell that water might do both of them good. She pulled out a twenty, which was soaked, chapstick, which the lid came off so it was smeered all in her pocket and soaked gum. One piece left. She tapped on his shoulder and gave it to him. "Your probably thirsty. Here." She said with her bored, emotionless face on, something you would see in class.

Taking a deep breath Theo finally replied, "I'm really sorry.. but I'm afraid they are beyond repair.." he looked over her eyes once more, the sight making his insides twist, but he didn't let himself lose concentration or become weakened. Theo noticed that Violets right eye was pretty much intact, with only a few pieces of steel in it. He wasn't sure if it could heal, but he was fairly confident that it wouldn't need to come out if it was taken care of, and disinfected. However, he knew for a fact the other eye would.
"Your right eye.. it might not need to come out.. but I'll need to take out some of that shrapnel. Your left eye though.. there's nothing we can do about that.." Theo spoke in his kind voice as he had the whole time. Although he didn't like being touched much, he carefully hugged her back, mainly because he wanted to comfort her, knowing what he'd have to do. Theo looked down at the open first aid kit, seeing a sterilized packet reading, 'Scalpel' in big green letters. "I'm afraid we have no other choice.. What do you want me to do..?"

"Okay. Cut them off. Please." Was the whispered answer. "But please let me sleep first? I'm scared of feeling it." Without waiting for an answer, she laid her head against the soft sand, and tried to lose herself inside the confines of her labyrinthic mind. She tried to think about what her life had been; tried to overload her brain again. Insanity during a procedure like this was the key.
"Um. Wait for me to go crazy again, okay?" Violet asked anxiously. Then she tried to burn the image of what her eyes could look like into her mind; using her brain's eye to see. It didn't work, and she didn't lose control of herself. That would be best. She just hopes she could regain control again, somehow. Violet didn't want to be trapped in insanity forever, especially not now. Not when there was a chance of survival; a chance to come home again, even if she wasn't whole. And with this boy, the chance was there.
Violet concentrated on home, and her mind began to blur; a whirlwind of memories and chasms and dreams and desires... spiralling down and down... down to oblivion.

But then he saw that they didn't hear him at all.He started running around them but they didn't pay any attention to him. It's if like he was invisible or something.
Then suddenly he realised one thing-maybe he was dreaming!Instead of pinching he hit himself in the face and suddenly woke up.He was sleeping beneath a tree
.He was desperate and he knew it.He knew that there was nobody alive from that crash. The person that saved him is probably dead from hunger or thirst by now.Now he was imagining that nothing happened and he would wake up in his bed for school.
But then he realised how lucky he was-he was gonna spend the rest of his days training tobe the best scout of them all.Nobody to boss him around,no school-no adults! Then he decided to find a spot to build a shed.He found one-it was perfect. And a spring of clean water next to it.He ran to the spring and started drinking the water with huge satisfaction and joy.
"Well i quenched my thirst, now for some food and then i will start looking for shed materials."
He started looking for food. After 2 hours of searching he found a banana tree.He ate some and Returned with the rest to his spot.
He noticed a good way to start the shed
"now if only i had some rope,"then he remembered training"wait,i can make some rope!"He pulled some leaves from nearby trees, but not the trees in the camping spot. When he had enough he made small rolls out of the leaves and started tieing (don't know how to spell it) the leaves to make a rope. Finally he has made some,it wasn't strong but strong enough to hold what he was doing. Then he pulled to palm tops together and tied them to each other.
"Well,it's a start..."he started looking for more materials for his shed.

Theo listened as Violet talked to him, her voice filled with fear, or at least so it sounded. He thought for a moment about what she had said and intervined, "Wait.. what if I can't get you back? I don't know if I can look after your crazy self.." Theo's eyes slid down to the kit again, noticing multiple syringes and a few little bottles of chemicals. Luckily, Theo used to do science, and was almost top of his class. He knew all the elements and quite a few chemicals, being more into Biology, so this was almost like one of the disections he would have done, except Violet was alive.. and human.
A bottle caught Theo's eye, and he picked it up slowly and read the label. 'Ketamine.' He had seen this before, Ketamine was a chemical used in surgeries to put people to sleep. "What did Watson think was going to happen for him to need all this crap.." he looked around then sighed, "Good job he prepared.." Theo refocused and shook Violet slightly, bringing her back to reality, "Miss Violet.. I have something that can put you to sleep for about thirty minutes.. By that time I'll be done." He had guessed that she understood and agreed, and so reached down for a syringe, stabbing it into the foil top of the bottle, and retracting the plunger, extracting just the right amount from the bottle.
Theo took a deep breath and placed down the bottle back in the box, lifting Violets arm with his now free hand. He let it rest elevated on his knee and he used his free hand to flick the needle gently, testing if it was flowing correctly. It was. Theo lifted Violets arm from his knee and held it as straight as possible, wiping a certain spot with a disinfectant wipe. "Ok miss Violet.. I'm about to give you something that will put you to sleep.. It's going to feel like a hard pinch.. but when I'm done, start counting back from ten.. and when you wake up, everything will be just fine."
Carefully, Theo lined the needle up with Violets vein, and slowly penetrated her skin, and through to the vein. He then began to inject the Ketamine into her arm. "There.. there we go, the hard part's over.. now, count back from ten for me.." Theo listened as she only made it to seven. "Right.. that's the easy part over.." he spoke quietly to himself, and looked down at the first aid kit once again. Slowly he reached down and picked up the sealed scalpel, and a pair of latex gloves. He pulled the gloves onto his hands and carefully tore the top of the packet, removing the scalpel and running his eyes over it, his breathing becoming shakey.
Theo shook his head, letting his mind become clear. "I'm not going to lose concentration here.. Keep it together Theo.. Keep it together!" He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then opened them and let it go, looking down at the now sleeping Violet. Theo took another deep breath and began to go to work, taking some things from the first aid kit. He used some medical tape to sterdilly hold open her eye lids, as he'd need both hands. Theo moved himself in a position so that the sun would hit his back, and not Violets eyes. He took a pair medical tongs from the kit.
"The left eye first.." Theo decided it would be a better idea to get the hardest part out of the way first. Slowly he used the tongs to take a loose piece of the eye, and sliced it cleanly with the scalpel. He looked away and took a deep shakey breath, before looking back and continuing. It took him ten minutes of slicing, wiping and cleaning, but Theo had finally managed to remove the eye. He had less trouble with the right, using a pair of medical tweezers to carefully remove the shrapnel.
Theo took more medical wipes and used them to clear up the leaks that dripped down Violets face. He took a cloth hankerchief from Watsons bag and held it against Violets left eye, letting the blood seep into it. It was no use, he needed to close to wound, and quickly. Theo scoured the bag once more, amazed to find a Zippo lighter. "How did he get all this shit on the plane?! no wonder we crashed, the airline doesn't have any security at all.." He took a deep breath and lit the Zippo, concentrating as he used the flame to heat the blade of the scalpel, watching as it became a glowing yellow. Holding his breath and wincing slightly, Theo used the now red hot steel to cauterize the gaping and empty eye socket. He listened to the sound of the burning, sealing off the wound, before taking the scalpel away and coughing.
Knowing he needed to finish off, Theo placed the equipment down, and picked up a bottle of disinfectant, unscrewing it, and pouring some onto the cauterized wound. He dabbed it softly with the cloth, and padded it with a cotton patch. He removed the tape from the left eye lid and let it close, before he placed a cotton patch over that also. Theo finished by wrapping a bandage around her head, covering both her eyes. "There.. that should do it.. and with five minutes to spare.."
